it is a surprise it comes on this day when rick perry the former governor of texas is announcing his candidacy. mr. perry is the longest serving governor in the history of texas. and he started out as governor when he finished up george w. bush's term when he became president of the united states. there may be angst in the perry world where he'll be announcing later today with a c-130 behind me. he will be up and running with his own set of rings. jeb bush will be leading in the money. for the last six months he has been fund raising. there has been a long dance with jeb bush saying i'm not a candidate yet. and the need to file paperwork, that will now be done.

june 15th jeb bush will be official. he will come back to the u.s. having had an official trip. he's tied with scott walker. they're at 12%. the other other candidate in double digits is ben carson. in a couple of months the first debates will take place in august. there is a threshold to get in. the top ten candidates in national polls which suggest that rick perry and donald trump are at the bottom of the race. one of them may not make the cut. perry has a big hill to claim. and on his announcement day jeb bush makes it known he will be joining the race june 15th ath. brian, steve. >> and elizabeth as well. thank you very much for that report just outside dallas. rick's going to make it official. and jeb bush is going to make it official 11 days from now ipmiami. >> interesting timing.

what they think is best for their child. we got him out of the home and we sent him down to this place. and that was really probably the best decision we made through this whole process. it's at that point that he came to himself and god really worked in his life. matter of fact he broke. and he went and asked god to forgive him. he went back and asked those that he had offended to forgive him. we felt like the last jurisdiction of who he needed to make things right with was the law. >> he said this is one of the darkest times in their lives. they did the best they could do under the circumstances. they alluded once it was the third time telling him, they realized they have done after a certain amount all they could do within their home to try to reach his heart. they sought outside help. this actually went into the hands of a social worker rather than local authorities here. this is their explanation on why

between the ages of 25 and 54. too old for college, too young for retire that don't work don't look for work. don't seek training. they're doing things like collecting food stamps medicaid social security disability sponging off relatives, girlfriends. sponging off of wives who do have jobs. wurb working in the black market. it doesn't pay for them to take a job at $10 an hour because they lose benefits. >> free and subsidized healthcare. 6.4 million get subsidies. that is new. the food stamps numbers are staggering. 45.6 million are on food stamps. what you're saying this is enticing. add to that social security disability benefits and disability and the fraud involved there is astronomical. it is 10.9 million disabled workers and dependents. if you're legitimately disabled that's what it's there for.

if you're gaming the system that's not what it's there for. that's how it's being abused. how does this play out to the so-called disabled workers benefit? >> essentially, if you go in and apply for disability it can be pretty tough to get at first try. if you appeal and hire a lawyer the government doesn't have a lawyer on the other side of the dispute. it's easy for you to win. the reality is this system has come to light in the last six years, for example, public broadcasting did a segment on it some time ago. the administration has taken no action to fix it. why? people that get the benefits they won't vote for anyone who will repeal them. it creates obama's battery powered voters. it's being powered by entitlements. >> some of the things that are in the game in the past six years? >> an adult man who doesn't work

can stop and put the brakes on metastasis metastasis. would you say this is a major step? >> it is extremely promising. it targets aggressive cancer. it has a tendency to spread to the brain. only 10% of most breast cancers go to the brain. this particular time up to 50%. half of women struggle with brain metastasis. we have another drug similar to this that's available that blocks those proteins as well as another protein involved in the tumor's growth. this new medication that's been developed is made by a drug company that is specific to the her 2 protein. what this translates to is last gastio intestinal side effects and less rash. >> some results we have been seeing. we have a couple of brain scans. this is one of your patients a

before and after, am i right? >> this is one of my patients. she is a young, 40-year-old -- in her early 40's. she husband two children at home. these are her brain scans from before she went on trial on the left where it's base line. you can see these white glowing areas which are the cancer spots in her brain. after two cycles of treatment you can see they are much smaller. they're not glowing as much and they look improved. this is probably the most dramatic. you can see the benefit she's gotten. she's amhad a 50% decrease on the size of the lesions. she's been on it for six months. she's going strong. >> it's an incredible breakthrough. it's in trial form right now. it's a great promise to breast cancer victims and those who may be fighting through this. if people want more information where can they get it. >> our website, sarah cannon. this drug will be availabled in a larger trial later this year.

judicial analyst, judge andrew napolitano. it sounds like they were self-radicalized. >> it's a fair description from what we know. a lone wolf can be a group of people. as long as the group is not affiliated with a known recognized terrorist organization that can issue an order to them. and the significance of the lone wolf the law is the same under the patriot act for lone wolves as it is under the freedom act. the government knows who lone wolves are. when they have a lone wolf whether it's one person three or five. in this case we think three but they knew of two. it goes to a judge and gets a search warrant and it listens to everything this person says on the phone whether they change phones or not. that's the way it's supposed to work. under the patriot and freedom act, the government doesn't get those kind of warrants. it gets a different warrant where it doesn't have to get the

name of the person. it collects bulk material. >> that's what has been frustrating for so many people. a new poll out there says has the nsa program prevented terrorist attacks in the u.s. a majority of you say yes. take a look at the next poll do you feel like the nsa has violated your civil liberties the once is a majority says yes. >> it has violated our civil liberties because it has lowered the standard that the government must meet in order to listen to us. under the constitution the standard is evidence of wrong doing under the patriot and freedom act, the standard is government need. that's not a standard at all. because the government will claim it needs whatever it wants to listen to. under both acts the government can get the same information. the same type of information. the same amount of information.

days from now. that will bring to 11 the field. and jeb bush by doing this today does undercut the headlines that rick perry was seeking. perry ran in 2012 and had a somewhat gaff and misstepped prone campaign that didn't last long. he acknowledged he gone in late wasn't prepared. had recent back surgery and had problems. and that that was part of the reason why he had so many problems in that campaign. this time around he's gotten out early and visited iowa new hampshire, south carolina the early voting states. he's courted social conservatives. touted his record on the economy. we'll hear a lot of that in his announcement today. it is somewhat eclipsed by jeb bush's announcement. it's not a surprise that bush is getting into the race. a good rule of thumb that anybody who says they're thinking about it is officially in the race until they say they're not running. there are four others out there waiting, all governors. john kasich chris christie scott walker and bobby jindal.

staff sergeant signed up for the louisiana national guard because he wanted to serve his country. he was proud to be an american and eager to defend our freedoms. eight years into his service he was killed during a training exercise in florida in march. his family asked for his remains to be placed in arlington national cemetery. they said no. this congressman has asked the military to rethink their decision. where does this stand right now?

bodies of saavas and amy their 10-year-old son and their housekeeper on may 14th. a search warrant reveals police found a shoe or maybe a boot print on a broken door. you can see it there. that led them to believe that someone forced their way into the home. a window on that door was also shattered. now investigators are trying to link that print to this suspect, doron wint or other suspects by matching the tread patterns on the shoe. search warrants show investigators found a car he was riding in. they were looking for a digital recorder that may have been used to capture surveillance video at the home. this morning, the search is on to find the victims' cell phones. investigators say they were stolen from the home before it burned to the ground. they believe information on those phones could lead to more suspects in the crime. police are also examining cell phone records of sauvo

276,000 new jobless claims down from last week. that is the firing rate. that means the employers are holding on to their employees much longer. this is not the hiring rate which is not doing very well. this is the firing rate which is doing well. that's a good number. solid. >> so the news is not as many americans are getting fired. >> that is correct. but not many are getting hired either. >> here is some troubling news. there's a new statistic out this morning that half the country, if -- let's say your transmission broke on your car or something that cost $400 or more how many americans don't have the money to pay for it. >> about half could not raise $400 cash at short notice. by the way, this doesn't come from some out lying group that's grinding a political ax. this comes from the federal reserve. they surveyed 50,000 people. half of them couldn't come up with $400.

to unmask juvenile victims and juvenile offenders. that's against everything we stand for in this country. >> the story out there that apparently -- i think harpo, which is oprah winfrey's company had the information, didn't go public with it. sat on it. i guess the question is did they pass it on to somebody else or what happened? >> you don't know how it happened. you don't know how this magazine had the information that would cause them to serve a freedom of information request. but the truth is in this country, that those requests come all the time. and a lot of information we are not really comfortable getting out there gets out. certainly shouldn't get out in terms of juveniles. we also know that there's a lot of people in this country that have an ax to grind with this family. >> sure. >> for the association of their son, with the company that he was working for. for what they stand for in terms of life and affirming life for the christian faith.
