agencies as well. now, this sighting is described as significant but it is also unconfirmed. just last week there were two other reported sightings in nearby steuben county. authorities are examining surveillance tape trying to confirm the two fugitives were in fact actually spotted. and worth considering, well the town of friendship is about, as you mentioned, 376 miles from the prison. that means the pair would have to travel an average of about 23 miles per day. one other thing worth noting why would richard matt come to this location? well he has family as well as other links to a nearby community. a local police officer there said and i quote, matt is the most vicious evil person that i have ever come across and now, arthel there is concern he might be trying to return. back to you. >> okay. david lee miller thank you very

>> a nearly 24-hour manhunt coming to an end in new orleans that had left the city on edge. police say confirming the capture of accused cop killer travis boyce. authorities had been looking for him since yesterday morning. they say he was on his way to jail in the back of a police cruiser when he somehow got a gun as he was handcuffed and fatedly shot a veteran member of the new orleans police department before escaping on foot. will carr is following this story from our west coast newsroom. will i understand he was at some house in the ninth ward. >> well what we know arthel, is that there was a brief chase. after that he was taken into custody. nobody was hurt. that's the good news after that 24-hour manhunt yesterday with the officers going door-to-door and many neighborhoods in new orleans. they had bloodhounds on the ground and helicopters in the air and joined by the u.s. marshalls all looking for boyce who authorities say killed

officer darryl holloway. yesterday morning boyce was arrested for aggravated assault and a short time later officer holloway was transporting boyce to jail in his police suv when somehow boyce moved his handcuffs from behind his back to the front of his body. police think he may have been double jointed and managed to push through a small opening in the cage that separates the holding area of car in the front seat. a struggle ensued. boyce pulled out a gun and where he got that gun we still don't know. he ended up shooting officer holloway in the head and he died a short time later at the hospital. on saturday new orleans mayor rich landrieu called boyce the lowest of the low. he has a history of escaping from law enforcement, and as the investigation continues into how he got free and exactly where he got that gun, friends, fellow officers and family members are all mourning the loss of officer darryl holloway. he was 45 years old, a 22-year veteran of the new orleans

iran issued a declaration saying no access to scientists no access to military sites, yet his nuclear negotiators said just the opposite. we will grant managed access to military sites, so is this just a typical schizophrenic rhetoric coming from tehran? >> well i think it's posturing. i think that's what this vote in their parliament which was not exactly a demonstration of political liberty at work is also intended to show that back at home they are prepared to junk the whole deal if there really would be inspections at the military site and it's intended to give the negotiators leverage against a white house that has already made concessions in these talks that really make this deal a debacle even before it's signed so what the negotiators are doing is saying look we're doing best we can. these people back in tehran would be even tougher and our people our negotiators led by

9:12 am
in not telling us everything they have done on prior weization activities since if they can't have inchons they haven't done anything on weaponization, but leave that irony go the president is also making concessions, as you ask, on the sanctions point. the idea is there's a kind of snapback mechanism. that's the phrase the administration uses if iran is found in violation. they describe what they think that would be. i can tell you it won't work in the security council. i think this is another illusion being used to cover a very bad deal. >> and in the end tehran will still have threshold nuclear breakout capacity. ambassador john bolton as always thank you, sir. >> thank you, greg. >> and we'll remind our viewers now that we're awaiting an update from the new york stayed police on the manhunt for those two escaped murderers. there's the shot. we have our cameras trained there. david lee miller is on scene as well and we'll bring you this live presser when it happens. >> and a number of gop
