they probably would have had better chance of getting sweat, getting information. what do you think the possibility of getting sweat would be? there's a lot going on at the clinton correction facility with tools getting to them hamburger meat joyce mitchell helping them out, the seamstress. what's the threat of bringing in sweat alive? >> there's a huge benefit. not just mitchell but friday they arrested another correctional officeer they think could have been involved helping the men. if they can get sweat in prison alive, they can interview him and hopefully learn how he was able to pull off this stunt. they're going to be hoping and praying they can get him alive. i don't think it's going to end that way. >> our friend rod wheeler standing by live. thanks a lot. >> yep. following a lot of stories

changing because that's how the culture has gone base of their party, and young people. i say this as someone in favor of same-sex marriage. it's a bit much for them to peddle this position as though it's been a long held belief which isn't true. your point tucker an important one. it's something we get into this our book. for america to co exist and live in an open minded culture, we have to stop assuming the worst about one another's motives. we're not doing that. that's been a big problem on both sides of the debate. you have some people on the antigay rights that say gay people are trying to change our culture with perversion, impact the children many in some way wa. you have people that are hateful and say they're big gots. we're not going to make progress and come together as a country

fish out there. avoid those places and times. stick together in groups. sharks tend to go after solitaire prey items. stick out of the water in particular in the time period between dusk and dawn times when sharks are most active and feeding. >> side from the water temperatures being warmer and more humans getting in the water, this is wild. ocean i know there's a lot of sea turtles in that area. i'm from that area, covered news in that area. some say there's a theory about sea turtles. what's this? >> caller: this is the sea turtle nesting time period in north carolina and all the way down through florida. the turtles come out of the

to do it about it? the 2016 presidential candidate joins us live. what should the people members of congress do about this decision? >> i think we have to move through the process of trying to change it and you can do everything from passing laws to pushback on specific things to what i've suggested which one example, for example, is the religious freedom protection act, first amendment protection act to protect people from faith of what will be the consequence of this ruling which will limit their religious freedom in this country. there's no question it's already happening with respect to people of faith trying to live their lives out in disagreement with this court ruling in other states around the country and it will certainly happen as a result of justice kennedy's absurd opinion. so that's number one.

number two, we have to reclaim marriage as an institution that's not about two adults or more than two adults. it's about children. and marriage has always been about children. it's always been about how to create the best environment for the next generation to be raised in a society and we've detached marriage from having and raising children and i think that's the next effort to try to reclaim that. >> senator ted cruz has said the supreme court, maybe perhaps the justices should face retention votes. the idea that these lifetime appointments maybe we should reconsider those. do you agree with that senator? >> i think what ted is trying to get at is a legitimate point is that what the judges have done over the course of now many entered into the political realm and just decided that they are just another branch of the government that can make laws that their job is no longer just to be really judges and try to be referees between the executive and congressional branch and

instead of you know doing their proper limited job, they have decided that they are going to get into the recommend -- realm of politics if they are going to get into the realm of politics why just stop at retention? in pennsylvania we elect all of our judges from the supreme court on down and we recognize and have recognized that there's a political element to the judiciary and that the public ultimately has to have some say in that and so if you are going to -- if you are going to go a half measure which is what ted has done you might as well go a full measure. i'm not sure that's going to change anything. look at the laws in pennsylvania the courts in pennsylvania if you give them this power to legislate, the problem is the power they don't have under the constitution that they are exercising and neither political branch is fighting back and so i would make the argument that the better solution is for -- if you are going to put effort into trying to control the judiciary it's by doing things that limits their

jurisdiction or requires for example, the supreme court to take all appeals, so right now they have the best of both worlds. they can make decisions when ever they want to do but they don't have to get bogged down with any of consequences of their decisions by having other cases come to them. >> you pointed out even as gay marriages become the law of the land heterosexual marriage is collapsing people aren't getting married even when they have children. what specifically can congress do about that? >> i say this out on the campaign trail all the time that the most important power that a president has and obviously i'm running for president, the most important power the president has is the power of the bully pulpit. can you imagine instead of this president spending all his time about global warming if he talked about the importance of fathers and mothers raising their children and promoting marriage not just in the

presidency but in the culture and the business community, but actually have programs that support the idea of marriage and togetherness in order to raise children? that to me is the most important thing we can do is to lift up a marriage as an institution that's important for the survival of our country because too many children are falling through the cracks. you mentioned tucker that half of the children who are born out of wedlock in america are born in houses where the father is living but they are not married, why? because now marriage has nothing to do with children and the more -- now with this decision we've not cemented that. that marriage is not connected to children and therefore you are going to see more children growing up in unmarried homes. >> senator rick santorum joining us live. thanks. >> thank you, tucker. the video is terrifying. it was a dance party at a waterpark but it turned into a couldn't florida rags a ball

very difficult terrain. the area of dense forest terrain. obviously, rain doesn't help. it slows down the search. it makes dogs picking up the scent a lot more challenging. it rickets air -- restricts air mobility in the air search. rain will slow down the search and they are going to hold at that hard perimeter. >> what is that? >> it's a hard perimeter it's a 22-square mile perimeter near the location where they confronted matt. they hold that perimeter and they sweep out or in doing grid searches because of the high probability at least on saturday -- friday that they would confront sweat, they had, i believe, tactical teams doing the actual grid search. >> 22 square miles is just an enormous piece of land. that's huge. 1,500 men sounds like a lot but 22 square miles how long would

it take to do a grid search? >> it would take a while. they are looking for someone who is possibly armed and desperate and poses a great danger to law enforcement. >> what are the rules of engagement? richard matt wouldn't put his hands up and surrender. he had a 22-gauge shotgun as well and what he was behind bars for is for shooting a sheriffs deputy multiple times and running him over with a car while he was still alive. he's not fearful of law enforcement? are they going to kill him or bring him back alive? >> that's going up to sweat. obviously, they will engage him, try to get him to surrender, and if he follows law enforcement instructions i believe they will bring him in, they will try to bring him in alive. they want to talk to this guy. they certainly want to find out what help he had from the inside any from the outside, and law enforcement always

a 29% increase over last year. it's a little weird that in the face of this evidence that gun control doesn't work. you are still hearing renewed calls for gun control. why is that? >> well, whenever ig anything like this happens, people always say take the guns off the streets. carry conceal, the right to own a gun, those people are going to own a gun and have them, the gang bangers don't go out and apply for a license. we had 215 murders, 186 were shot and killed the rest were killed other ways. >> it's interesting here in new york city liberals are calling simultaneously for more gun control and for an end to stop and frisk which was an effort to take illegal guns off the streets. it's a little bit curious. in chicago, do you ever hear elected officials say wait a second we've had strict gun

control for 50 years and we have more murders than ever maybe it's not working. is there any reconsideration of those laws? >> not really but we take more guns off the street in chicago than l.a. and new york combined. l.a. had 183 murders so far this year in stats that i could find. new york has had 154. what we have here is a gang problem that's different than other cities. we have factions. one big gang that's bken in and numerous little factions and they shoot each other. >> interesting. i want to put up for your viewers who aren't from chicago a comparison that's pretty jarring. here are the military casualties in iraq and afghanistan. 6 rk 828. >> and chicago is over 7,000. >> chicago murders, 7,740. you would think there would be a national outcry. this is the president's hometown. almost nobody says anything. why is that? >> people get shot a block away

from the president's house but more importantly we have the president went to south carolina for the tragedy in the baptist church or in the ame church but here just the month of may alone over 40 policemen were killed in this country. over 40. not once did the president mention that. not once did he go to their wakes or funerals not once did he acknowledge them. one woman had a baby a week prior to getting killed. >> unbelievable. maybe taking the confederate flag down from nascar races will help. don't hold your breath. >> yeah, right. donald trump is hot on the campaign trail and rising in the polls. he's now in second place among republican primary voters. what's his secret? mr. trump himself joins us live this hour. did you ever spill your coffee on your pajamas?

you have the actual grass, which has plant oil, starches sugars from the grass, and then you have dirt. so you want to call in the big boy. for this particular one, you want to pretreat it before you throw it into the washing machine. let it sit for five minutes or so. and you'll be able to get the grass stain off. >> that's pretreating it with shout. >> exactly. you want to pretreat it. go ahead and leave it on for a few minutes. and again, it's because the stain is multidimensional then you toss it into the washer. >> a multidimensional stain. all right, coffee. >> something that happens to my shirts. can i throw some on here? >> right. who knew actually as you're drinking your coffee you can use your breakfast to clean it up. you start with an egg yolk. i'm going to separate this for you as quickly as i can. egg yolk with a few drops of alcohol, rubbing alcohol.

you mix these together. you apply it right to the stain. let it sit for an hour and launder as usual. then you can make an omelet. >> let's move to stains. >> right. >> you're going on the pizza run. you panic. everybody panics. if you're wearing the garment, put baby powder all over it. that will keep it from actually spreading and running more. then when you get home what you do is you start with the dish detergent. the thing about dish te ter gent the formulas help to eliminate grease. in the same way toss dish detergent on it. let it sit. if it's a thicker fabric. you want to work from the inside of the fabric outside. so you're pushing it out and not further in. then you want to finish it with a vinegar rinse to get rid of the detergent. then you throw it in the laundry. >> we have to come down here to wine. so i'm going to spill a little.

error. >> there's more rough weather coming in for the next three or four days. i can't believe that he's get getting a lot of sleep. he's grabbing food wherever he can. there aren't a lot of abandoned camps in the perimeter where he's in now. if he's in there, you know he's in for some rough times. >> we're also learning the first taste of freedom may have featured bad food and water or alcohol. richard matt was sick and drunk when border patrol agents caught up with him because he refused to surrender and had the 20-gauge shotgun nearby him. it also appeared to people familiar with the case that the elements were starting to really affect richard matt. now look at the elements today on now day 22 of the search. so if david sweat is outside somewhere, the hope is he will be so affected he will slip up and he will be caught. back to you. >> 22 mile. peter doocy.

enforcement. >> and they can't get the helicopters up because of the weather, too. >> thanks so much. onto other stories making headlines. a scare just minutes before takeoff. dozens of people smelling smoke before boarding the flout. the the plane was still at the gate in houston, so the captain evacuated all 81 passengers on board. they were rebooked and the plane was taken out of service. it's not clear what caused the smell. and beachgoers gripped in fear after yet another shark attack on the coast of the carolinas. a 17-year-old critically hurt air lifted to a hospital after a shark bit him 20 feet from the shore and north carolina. and this month alone there have been seven shark attacks in north carolina. we spoke to george burgess about the dangerous pattern. >> more than likely the early

onset of warm temperatures are coming into play. it also may mean more humans are in the wearlt because of course when it gets warm we all want to go to the beach and go into the water. >> burgess suggesting stay away from piers where people are swimminging and fishing in groups. and nascar is trying to distance itself from the confederate flag. chairman brian france calling it quote, an insensitive symbol and wants it banned al at all races. just a few days ago, nascar says it will not ban fans for bringing them but it will go as far as it can to eliminate the flags from their events. >> he is not the favorite of those in power in washington and new york. he's climbing quickly in the polls. he's now number two in republican voters. he is donald trump and joins us by phone from the campaign trail. you there? >> good morning. >> congratulations.

your numbers are much higher, i think, than most people excludeing you, i'm sure ever expected. what do you attribute that to? >> well, we're getting great crowds tucker. it's amazing. we left iowa. last night we had a packed house and standing ovations because i talk about the subjects. i talk about trade how we're getting ripped off. our jobs. it's going to china. it's going to mexico. japan is back in a big way. they just devalued the yen. they are really doing numbers. everybody is doing a number. there's no country that doesn't do a number on us because we are not smart. we don't use our proper negotiators, and we don't have the right leadership. so we're getting ripped apart, and people see that. we recently had a problem with univision. they're very unhappy because i'm talking about we need a strong border.

and they're unhappy i'm talking about trade and how mexico is ripping us on trade. their leaders, i have great relationships with mexico. i love the mexican people. their leaders are much stronger than ours and they're taking advantage of us very very soundly. people hear that and it resonates. >> and you threatened to sue uni vision because they canceled the sound track. here's the photo with you and the mass murder down in charleston. and they didn't agree with your comments about mexicans. where does this stand right now? >> well i will be suing them. i have a very binding contract. i'm very good at contracts. believe me. and i have a binding contract. it's for a lot of money for miss usa and miss universe. the contract was signed in january. it's 100%. it's close to $15 million. and they called me and apologetically said oh gee, we're sorry, we're sorry. but we don't know. we will pay you whatever you

want. it's nothing to do with many pun. and i think they're doing the work of the mexican government. the mexican government does not like -- and not even the border. they do not like me going around talking about the fact that the united states is getting ripped off with trade. you know ford is building a $2.5 billion plant in mexico. they'll make cars selling to the united states. tennessee just lost a big plant. it went to mexico. i'll tell you what mexico is going to be the new china. i go around talking about this because it's a problem. we're losing more jobs. and mexico doesn't like it. yun univision, i think is doing the talking. i will win that lawsuit. i will win that lawsuit so easy. but again, you know what they did, putting me up with that horrible person the picture. and they took it down. they apologized to me by the way. i don't know if you know that. but i didn't accept their apology. >> you were certainly a

polarizing figure donald. >> i've never heard that before. >> i'm sure. but people love you because you say what a lot of people are thinking and you're known for tough talk. so is governor chris christie of new jersey. he launched an internet campaign on saturday launching the campaign expected on tuesday. what do you think about him being number 14 coming on gop side? >> well i like him. a friend of mine. i think he missed his opportunity. i tried to get him to run four years ago. i think he would have done well. but it's a tough one for him. he's a good guy. he's somebody i really like. i think it's tough for chris right now. >> so the national republican party does not like you. that's a generalization. maybe a slight overstatement. but a lot of people think you're inconvenient. you're throwing attention away from people they feel to be real candidates. when was the last time you talked to someone in a high level in the republican party in washington, and what are your relations like with them? >> well you know they were great until i decided to run.

they love me as a contributor. they really love me. i was their bufrl boy as a contributor. but now that i'm running and have immediately gone up high in the polls, but i'm not surprised. i speak the right issues. this is an election based on confidence. people are all talk. they're no action. nobody as an example f the politician had this situation with univision, they would have never done what i did. they would have meetly stopped talking about mexico how mexico is ripping us off on trade. how the the illegals are pouring in. you know it's a different world. so i think people are tired of it now tucker and i think that's why it's resonating. and i don't understand how bush is number one. can you imagine bush negotiating against china? frankly, we don't need another bush. >> why would bush not be effective in negotiating with china? >> i don't think he's a negotiator. hep couldn't give you answer

answer when you asked is iraq good or bad? >> i think he misunderstood the question though. >> well he might have misunderstood it. he didn't misunderstood it for five days. it was given to him five ways. it wasn't complicated. the fact is that i think people are tired of incompetent politicians. and that's why i'm doing well. i will say this. if i win. if i become president, this country will have jobs. it will be back to work. we'll be manufacturing again. we're going to take a lot from china and at the same time have a good relationship with china. we don't have good relationships with mexico and china, et cetera et cetera. we'll be put back to work. this country will do very well. we have tremendous potential. we just have bad leadership. >> and we're going to get your take on the supreme court decision, of course. perhaps the bigger story in the country. your thoughts on the supreme court. a lot of republican counterparts

running in the 2016 race thought it was a huge overreach by the judiciary judiciary. your take? >> it was a huge overreach. but the politicians have been whittling away. it was an overrace. this is a bad week in terms of republicans and conservatives. and then you had the obamacare decision also with justice roberts. who is really somebody that used to work with jeb. and jeb was pushing very hard to his brother. and he's the one that's white. two years alaska he approved it. that would have killed it totally. and then he did it again this week. so it was a bad week in terms of conservative republicans having to do with the supreme court. but you know the obamacare situation should never have happened. most people wanted states to make their own decision. >> donald trump, fresh off a trip to iowa. thanks for joining us as always.

during this election cycle that right after somebody announces that they do get a bump in the polls. marco rubio was in first place after he anounszed. two announced. true of others as well. i think the key will be to see the staying power. even if trump drops in the polls, he still has the ability to define the conversation a little bit. that has to be driving the people who run the republican party completely bonn lyly bonkers. is it not? >> well he has the ability to get attention. there's no question about it. but i don't know that he affects what jeb bush or scott walker or marco rubio is saying. i think they're ignoring him and viewing it as a side show. that may be smart or foolish. >> the top three though all running as outsiders. even jeb bush even though he's a bush and it's a family name would make him an insider rather

than an outside. er. trying to run on his executive experience. then you have donald trump and ben carson. does that tell you that just americans, republicans in particular are fed up with washington and they want somebody from the outside? >> absolutely. nobody is going to run as a washington insider. even those in the senate like rubio and cruise. nobody likes washington. everybody thinks the the answer that they are part of the problem, not the solution. and in fairness to jeb bush you know i o know he's got the bush name. but in fact he's never served in washington. he's been a two-term governor of florida with very conservative policies. so my guess is as people get to know him better he'll be seen less as bush and more as jeb. like him or dislike him. but i suspect he will fail or succeed on the basis of his record not his brother or his

and i put on my dress, and we went with our other people from the prom. there were five other ladies with us. >> from the center. >> and we went into this beautiful hall that was all decorated with the black ties and all were dressed up very much. much. >> ralph, i want to is you what the secret is to a long marriage. you said i'm going to let her answer first. is that the secret? >> it's always yes, dear. >> that works. why did you miss your prom the first time?

>> because i was in world war ii. 17 years old. had to quit high school. then when i got out in 1946 i took my ged, and i got my diploma and was going to another prom but i was called back for korea. so i missed that one. then i was discharged. then i had to get a job. which i did. i got on the milwaukee police department. i retired at 52 and came to florida. and from there, in 1996 we came here to riverview, florida, where hi two sons were, and we work it out that we could go to a senior place and build ourself up.

north carolina beach goers gripped in fear as yet another teenager is bitten by a shark. j u.s. a day and 20 miles away from another shark attack. >> that's seven shark attacks just this month. why in the world does this just keep happening? rob is the director of mote marine laboratories. the center for shark researchers in florida. why does this keep happening? >> well you know it's summiter time and there's a lot of people in the water. in new york it's a very sharky place. and i think it's happening there because the beaches there are full of surf. it's a high energy beach. you have sharks close to shore that are feeding. a lot of people in the water because it's so warm. a lot of sharks there. so people and sharks are coming together. you're getting these incidents. >> this freaks me out. i'm from north carolina. i've been to many of these beaches we're talking about. oak island. ocean aisle. the outer banks. and these communities depend on the tourism dollars. so you know.

you say this reminds you of the 2001 summer of the sharks. reresearchers trying to figure out parallels between what happened that year and what's going on this summer? >> well yeah in 2001 we had a series of incidents on the east coast of the united states. and starting in florida and going up to north carolina virginia that ended with a couple of fatalities around labor day. and then a week later 9/11 happened and the shark story went away. this is a little bit more concentrated. i'm concerned about the juxtaposition of fishing activity in some of these places with people swimming in the water. so i think we immediate to take a closer look at what's going on here. this is not the same shark, believe me. these are multiple sharks. obviously multiple people getting bitten.

but we need to be cautious and maybe think about keeping people out of the water in certain places. >> i know moat marines is such an impressive place. you have really big sharks do unwhere you are. big, big sharks. what is the average beach goer able to do to reduce his chance of getting bitten? >> i'm glad you said that. we're not talking about great white sharks here. that's important for people to not get in their heads. we're talking about 25-foot animals going after people. these are generally smaller, six, seven feet at the most. they're in this high energy environment. they're not looking for people. they're not hunting people. in that environment it's hard for the people to tell the people from the their prey. so sometimes it will sort of

don't seem relevant to you. >> that's the risk. that's exactly the risk. it's not going to impact that much. if greece defalls and has to leave. it will be a disaster for greece. i don't think we're going to see this domino effect because that's been the worry. if greece leaves then what happens to portugal? what happens to italy? everybody follows greece and completely destroy the union. i don't think that happens. i have to go back to using the drop in currency. i don't have the support of the ecb. i don't think there will be a domino effect. over the near term, uncertainty creates chaos. that's what i would expect on monday. >> you have a big show in 14 minutes. who do you have on the show? >> we'll talk about the other major deadline. what a tuesday this upcoming
