is how it played out. a person attacked american-owned gas plant where he worked and beheaded the plant manager and tried to blow up the place. in kuwait islamic army claimed responsibility for a bombing in one of the nation's largest shiite mosques. it was packed for friday prayers. two dozen killed, hundreds more injured. in north african state of tunisia gunmen fired at a popular beach resort, just walking up the beach shooting them. wounding some more. many were western tourists. we bring it out to the couch. two years ago on this day, june 29th, 2014, excuse me a year ago, isis was talking about forming it caliphate. a year before that they had just gotten together. today is the two-year anniversary of sorts of them forming. >> 35,000 square miles, harris if you talk about the caliphate going from syria throughout northern iraq. you have billions of dollars

plundered, oil, military assets they have stolen acquired through the black market. look the difference between the war on terror today and the war on terror started 10 years ago by george w. bush is, it is totally being played ten years ago it was solely played in the middle east in baghdad, in afghanistan. we were fighting them on their soil. their entire recruits were going to those areas, fighting the jihad. we have not played offense of the we allowed isis to reassert the advantage by getting these recruits radicalizing them through social media and the internet and letting them go back to their homeland to america, to france, to tunisia, to other countries they can use these tactics and execute attacks on terror, the war on terror. the real problem we have allowed the entire narrative what the war should be to change because of the revisionist history that the war on terror was somehow a bad thing over there. it was a good thing. we were fighting them in baghdad, not in brooklyn, not in buffalo and that changed under

little bit safer. >> i think people understand to pick out what doesn't belong in your neighborhood. look what we saw in upstate new york, constable new york. you had one police officer, at that one state trooper who was alone just walking down a treat but the whole community was keeping an eye out. i think we can be good about that, picking out things that don't belong but you're right. do we really need another department. >> all that harris, is happening online at a very rapid pace as mccaul pointed out and it is difficult to monitor. >> maybe this will make a difference. >> those already on terror lists let alone the ones that aren't. >> the boston bomber. >> u.s. officials confirming to fox news world powers meeting vienna will tomorrow's deadline to negotiate a deal. former cia director michael hayden blasting the obama administration for how it has handled the talks so far. >> i hope it is not the final

round. i hope this gets extended but we can talk about why in a few minutes. i actually fear that the iranians have the upper hand right now. i actually fear we have painted ourselves into a corner where we believe any deal is better than no deal at the present time. >> this as iran's foreign minister returned home for consultations yesterday. he is expected to come back to the table to push for a break-through. u.s. officials say they're not concerned that his trip home was scheduled in advance you about it still suggestions the sides may be some ways from an agreement. he needs instructions how to proceed. tony what do you think here, about general hayden's remarks? do you think they have the upper hand? >> look at actions of iran's supreme leader khomeni. he basically at 11th hour knowing deal deadline was now changed everything. he said no more sanctions regime. no more aggressive inspections. you can't come to our military sites. this is why the foreign minister left to go back basically take

the message that the west can't possibly accept these conditions. from what i'm hearing those covering this over in vienna unfortunately all the west now wants is this one year breakout period, basically to know a year in advance whether or not iran is going to comply with what we're forcing them to comply to. ben rhodes, chief foreign advisor to the president caught on tape saying the iran deal is important to the president as obamacare. of course iran knows they have all the leverage in the world. they're using it to their maximum advantage. >> are we, jedediah, are we getting the confidence from this administration we need to know they will not cave too much to iran in these negotiations? >> i think expectation they will cave. we know president obama wants as part of his legacy to accomplish this deal. whether it's a good deal or bad deal doesn't seem to matter to him. seems he will be the face of supposed diplomacy and making everything better. i think it is ridiculous and laughing at us every step of the way. they know every step of the way when the united states comes to the table under this

♪ >> welcome back to "outnumbered." well a dire situation in greece shaking markets here and across the globe. talks over the country's massive debt coming to a screeching halt with a nearly $2 billion repayment due tomorrow. now the government shutting down banks for the next week, and, restricting atm withdrawals to just $66 a day after the greek people withdrew more than a billion dollars from their accounts just over the weekend. greg palkot is live in athens with the latest. greg? >> reporter: andrea, considering everything that the greeks have been through the last couple days they're pretty cool. they're coming to the atms as you noted to get a limited amount of euros out of them, if

the cash is there. also banks have been closed here. will be closed for the next eight days. that is due to a big breakdown between greece and the european union and its creditors regarding dealing with greece's debt. eu wants for reform in terms of taxation as well as pensions. greece said no, and that led to the e.u. pulling plug on variety of funding and which could lead to default and greece leaving the eurozone, giving up the euro. here is what a few people had to tell us about that. >> nobody knows. >> reporter: do you know what will happen this week? >> they don't know what is no or yes. >> reporter: what do you think? >> i think a lot of things but i can not tell you. >> reporter: just a little bit. are you upset? obviously you're upset? >> very much. we'll see what we can do and then we'll try to find a solution. >> reporter: it has shaken up a lot of people the call bit greek prime minister, alexis tip practices for a referendum this

situations like this, maybe he would be tackling entitlement reform in this country or seriously tackling spending. you need to ask people who are bernie sanders is a socialist. he is not hiding that. he is running for president of the united states. he should ask why the situations in the country exist and what would he do to fix them. >> not just bernie sanders, jedediah. i think it is bigger than that this is the progressive agenda on full display. andrea it can't happen here, greece is such a smsmaller country. no, that is absolutely not true. >> as sandra just pointed out if the people we loan money to stop paying us in the billions and trillions how will we pay those china, who we owe money too? >> the greeks don't. >> port rekos governor put it this way, the debt is not payable this is the only option. i would love to have easier option. this is not politics. it is math. they're out of cash. they owe us and we others.

♪ >> you're watching "outnumbered" and we're glad that you are. new jersey governor chris christie expected to officially announce he is 10ering the race tomorrow adding to the already crowded republican field which would grow to 16 if as expected ohio governor john kasich and wisconsin governor scott walker jump into the race next month as planned as well. typically outspoken governor christie released a new video showcasing a softer side referencing his mom who you may know died of cancer. >> she grabbed my hand she saids christopher there is nothing left unsaid between us. it was an incredibly powerful moment in my life. >> all right. tony saying who is our #oneluckyguy knows governor christie very well. in fact you and your company at one point worked with him on some of his crisis points, crisis management. >> we were there during the best of times, worst of times.

chris christie. he is going after rand paul like crazy on privacy issues on the nsa. conservatives take issue with him. talk radio has not been quiet in their critique on him, gun control and accepting obamacare subsidies. he has a hard time with them. i don't think his delivery helps. i think it would be interesting to see him on the debate stage with donald trump that would be entertaining tv at its best. >> what is interesting looking at some polling donald trump is doing well, behind jeb bush in someplaces and beating a lot of others. how do you think chris christie will stack up after this announcement? >> it is interesting, they're both similar styles. they're direct and rough around the edges you say. they offend people because they say a lot of things that aren't politically correct. but they deliver the truth. in defense of chris christie i would say this, he is the governor of a blue state as a republican. i know that he took shots against the base. he made a lot of enemies. i don't think he should have done that because it will be tough to get the love back. he has done a lot of good things

in new jersey dealing with democratic legislature, vetoing a lot of progressive bills. it is tough to get elected as republican in blue state. republicans should follow his model. he got, blacks and hispanics. the coalition he built in new jersey is something republicans should look at. it was pretty impressive. >> he might match up best against hillary clinton for that particular reason. how blue many soft states are on the east coast. >> talk to me about the economy, tony because we haven't, what could governor christie run on? because his polling shows the american people are still at top of their list when they go to the voting booth. >> andrea said it right, he had two democratic houses on his legislature. he capped property taxes, reformed pensions and tried to cut spending and done it in real numeric way not just cut the growth ever spending. another way of saying we would have spent more if we didn't do it this way.

chris christie, you have to understand, you can't count him out. he is tenacious fighter. he believes in what he says. what did we talk about before this segment greece failing on the collapsing entitlement system. who is the only republican candidate talking meaningfully about retirement reform. he will bring a meaningfully aspect to this public policy debates. >> do voters in new jersey likes him? >> ted cruz calling out the liberal and mainstream media accusing them being obsessed with sex. hmmm. in an interview with fox news's howard kurtz over the weekend, senator cruz claimed some reporters used stories like the supreme court ruling on same-sex marriage, to try and quote, trap gop candidates. >> it was apparently the only issue this reporter wanted to talk about. i was happy to answer it and answer it again and again. kept on asking it, what is it about the left that i include

the mainstream media that you're obsessed with sex. some people say why didn't you just say no? the answer should be obvious no? >> right. >> the reason is, and you know this well, there is a trap in politics. >> bingo. i think that he is hitting on something very powerful because it's true! they ask republican men mostly men running about birth control and the war on women and what happens between a woman and her doctor and would you bake a cake. >> that is all true, i would say have an answer. i would repeat if they can trap you you're not good you have in. you will ask me about gay marriage all day long. it is what i believe. you can repeat i had 17 different ways i will not come off like a homophobe or hating gay people because i will give you a proper answer. there are people who will try to trap you. yes you get ridiculous questions. you're running for president. be prepared. >> isn't that what it is, tony they go out of that way to paint

republicans as bigots. >> that is exactly what it is. you don't see the same pursuit of bernie sanders or joe biden, elizabeth warren about these tough cultural issues. i think when you look at a guy like ted cruz he is easy to demonize. comes across as very central casting, evil right-wing republican. so i think in his case what i would do is little more what you suggested jedediah. have one of these answers ready. make it something like, don't treat it as a serious question. answer it as the question it is. which is gotcha question. and don't give them more than they need to hurt you. >> that is really interesting perspective on it. because one thing senator cruz did i what was very smart put this in a zone i think most americans can get into understand especially with social media, this vicious game of gotcha we have going. it would work for him to have lighter answer to one of those questions. look, that probably doesn't deserve a whole lot. here is what i'm going to give you. if you do that again it is rude. >> you know who deals with questions we were talking about

these type of questions very well, chris christie. he was asked about transgender schools or funding for schools he said to the media, are you kidding me? right after hurricane sandy. people are dying in my state. there is wreckage. i will not answer that right now. he shuts them down and makes them look ridiculous. >> go on the offensive. i'm sure as you two would tell me, as far as campaign strategy to paint yourself as a victim of the media, just doesn't put him in a strong light. >> well it is a given. so there is no more outrage bit. you can't as a republican make people feel bad for you because you're getting beat up by the media. i think what we learned, this comes through sitting in countless focus groups in swing states all across the company people want to feel likability to candidate they support. they want emotional connection. humor does that. being honest and direct as you point out with andrea, chris christie and others. chris christie is not only one. who doesn't do it very well? hillary clinton. ultimately i think that will be

one of her downfalls. as much as we're discussing this as republican problem the person that might ultimately hurt is likely democratic -- >> no one asked her about her position on gay marriage, in 2003 was very clear. a man and a woman. doesn't allow media to ask her these questions. over the weekend jedediah, i saw a piece, barney frank. allowed him to publish calling justice scalia a bigot. what they're doing, if you read the dissent of scalia. this isn't about gay marriage or at all. how we got there. it was left to the legislature. he wasn't talking negatively about gay marriage at all this is the tack they will take even though that decision has been settled. >> i think that is probably true. why it is so important to be prepared and have an answer that makes sense. these guys are smart. you've got real -- the bench on gop side, ted cruz is brilliant guy. i believe he can sit back for a couple of minutes and come up with an answer yes, maybe a little comical, but factual and
