ahead of the holiday weekend. >> pretty scary stuff. it has been a terrifying summer for north and south carolina beach goers. the latest coming out of north carolina a small island at the end of the outer banks. a 68-year-old massachusetts man was dragged under the surface by a shark in waist deep water. he was air lifted to a hospital and is now in fair condition this morning. this the latest in a string of terrifying shark attacks in the carolinas. two weeks ago two different teens each had their arm bitten off. he describes the frightening moment the shark took hold of him. >> all of a sudden i felt like a pain, cringe of pain in my leg. i looked back and saw a fin of the shark swimming away. i yelled to my cousin who was

next to me. get out of the water. i just got bit by a shark. >> with the 4th of july weekend quickly approaching we have tips for staying safe. >> if you are swimming at dusk or dawn be extremely careful or stay out of the water. stay away from the mouths of river and water inlets where the aggressive bull sharks swim up and down. don't go swimming where people will be fishing. that attracts sharks. >> it is a perfect storm for shark activity. they like sharm salty water. they have been having higher than normal temperature increasing bait fish and sea turtles giving sharks a reason to swim toward shore. the most foolproof way stay away from the water. >> go to the pool. >> terror driving ahead of the

4th of july holiday. isis tweeting a startling map of fbi command centers. look at this. according to gateway. it shows temporary command posts set up for the independence day weekend. the pentagon and big cities on high alert. kristin fisher has the latest for us. >> there's always security threats around july 4th. this year is different. it is also cause of isis. they are calling on followers to strike their enemies however they can, wheneverrever they can. it is not a big coordinated attacks they are worried about. it is the lone wolves radicalized over social media where the terror group has been active for weeks. the fbi and department of homeland security issued a bulletin warning personnel across the country they are prime targets for an attack on july 4th. here's the secretary of defense
