rescue crews arrived moments later. they had to use the jaws of life to free the trooper. he is okay. a real miracle. a federal judge has awarded a texas woman nearly $230,000 after she got 153 robo calls. she sued time warner and repeatedly told them to stop calling. she explained the mistake and they kept calling anyway. the judge and she have the last laugh. the company was fined $1,500 for each call and calling the action particularly egregious. >> i feel like i get more and more those robo calls all the time. >> we get three in the same kind lately. in the last week we've gotten for pain medicine for home alarms and we've gotten three calls from the u.s. department

with sanctuary policies in the u.s. that includes parts of 33 states and includes major cities like houston, miami, boston philadelphia and even new york city. they're coming up absolutely. >> absolutely. we're standing in a sanctuary city now. people here hear sanctuary say and think oh. what does that mean? >> it means a lot but not a lot of good things unfortunately. sanctuary city or county is jurisdiction that bars the use of city or state resources to enforce federal immigration laws. some states allow illegal immigrants charged with minor crimes to be released after posting bail or serving time. they don't notify the federal government. that's what happened with kate steinle. the policy started with churches providing sanctuary for those fleeing violence in the 1980s. it morphed across the country.

>> do we have idea what kind of crime statistics we're talking about committed by illegals? >> this is hard to get control of and get an understanding. we know anecdotally and tragically. we know 30,000 convicted criminal aliens were released by the federal government in 2014 back into the communities. these individuals had been convicted of -- listen to this -- nearly 80,000 crimes including 175 homicides, 400 sexual assaults and let's look at a couple others. terrible terrible murders that may have been caused as a result of these sanctuary and ice policies. 2014 boarder patrol agent was shot to death in front of his wife kids two parents by illegals in texas. they were arrested and deported numerous times. listen to this one. in october 2014 a twice
