>> hello, sean. >> let me start with this deal and just get your initial thoughts on it. they're the number one state sponsor of terror. they repeatedly say they're going to destroy israel. five days ago they were chanting death to the u.s. and death to israel and burning our flags. what are your thoughts of even sitting down with them? >> well, the whole thing is a disgrace that a deal like this could be signed. we had so many advantages. they're going to become a very, very rich nation. they're getting billions and billions of dollars. we have our inspecting teams. unless ewe got any time, any place, that's what you want. you have to have anytime, anyplace. you have to go in there and check. we have to give 28 and 24 day notices. i just look at this deal, it's so ridiculous. not to mention the fact, which to me is very important, all of the money that they're getting, sean, but how about the four

prisoners? why aren't we getting our four prisoners out. kerry said he didn't want to complicate the negotiation for asking -- by asking for four prisoners. these guys are babies. we have babies. as you know they're celebrating in the streets of the iran. they're going wild in the streets. they made a phenomenal deal. it's just incredible. this is amateur night. i've never seen anything like it. >> let me go to the four prisoners you mentioned. major garret asked the president about it. the president got testy. here is how that went down. >> can you tell the country, sir, why are you content with all the fanfare around this deal to leave the conscious of this nation, the strength of this nation unaccounted for in relation to these four americans? >> the notion i'm content as i celebrate with american citizens languishing in iranian jails, major, that's nonsense. you should know better.

if the question is why we did not tie the negotiations to their release, think about the logic that that creates. suddenly iran realizes you know what? maybe we can get additional concessions out of the americans. >> well, we're giving them $150 billion. they continue to spin their sentra fujis. they get conventional arms as part of the day. they get 24 days notice and they have to approve any inspections. wow. we couldn't get the four americans? >> well, the answer, i just hear it now for the first time, that's incredible to think that we would ask for them and they would get more. why would they get more? they're getting so much. you just say if you have the right message. i guarantee, if i were there, you would have those prisoners. if i were president, you'd have those prisoners and they'd be back really, really fast. you remember ronald reagan when they had the hostages. as soon as he got -- once it was obvious he was in thereby they were let go.

they had no respect for jimmy carter. they had a lot of respect for ronald reagan. i think it's incredible. i think his answer is incredible that it would have opened up the negotiations. it's a simple thing. we want our prisoners back. they're thought doing you any good. they're in horrible jails from what i hear, the worst. these are four people that shouldn't be there in the first place. so, i mean, it's just incredible that he would say something like that. that's such a simple thing to do. and it would have been good for them. it would have softened the deal even from their standpoint. they don't want these prisoners, they don't need them. it's almost like they're taunting us by keeping these prisoners. >> what would a president trump have done differently from the outset and what would be the parameters of a trump deal? >> well, as you know, i did read and oftentimes everybody else is telling me it's the best book, but i did write the art of the deal. and they didn't write and they didn't read it and i will tell you, it's to me amazing, sean. because you look at the basics of what they've done and how

they've done it. i would have doubled and tripled up the sanctions very easily. i would have waited for them to call us. i would have said we want the prisoners by the way before we even start. they would have given them up in about ten minutes and we would have had a deal that would have been much better. but, you know, what we're doing is just insane. and from what everything i read, at the end of the term they're going to be able to very easily produce nuclear weapons. which is the worst of all. i'll tell you, this is a terrible deal for us. this is a potentially catastrophic deal for israel. israel has to be very nervous about what's going on with iran right now. >> let me go back to the issue of immigration which is i would argue catapulted you to the top. it's now every single candidate is discussing the issue at length and in detail as a result of your position. this drug kingpin, el chapo has pretty much threatened you and told you to be quiet.

what is your response back to him? >> you know what i'm bringing up is much more important than donald trump, my life. frankly, what i'm doing is so important for the country. i'm so -- i appreciate your question the way you worded it. the truth is we wouldn't even be talking about illegal immigration if it weren't for me. i brought it up. they hammered me and then they found out they were wrong. so many people have apologized to me over the last week. because, you know, when i made my statement they didn't read my statement. they read little pieces of my statement and tried to make me look bad. fortunately you have good reporters and some of the media was honest. a lot of people are apologizing to me. i brought up illegal immigration, i talk about mexico because i'm not talking about individual -- i'm talking about mexico is forcing people in that they don't want. and they want us to take care of those people. they want us to put those people in prisons. because they don't want to. if you remember many years ago, cuba fidel castro emptied his

jails and sent them to us. well, in a much more sophisticated way, that's what mexico is doing also at the border. so because they don't want the cost. the cost is tremendous. and then you look at what happened with the escape, it's a pretty sad state of affairs. had i not brought immigration up and illegal immigration in particular, you wouldn't be talking about it right now. you wouldn't be asking me the question. now all of the candidates are trying to jump on. here's the problem, they're weak and they don't understand what to do. you have to build a wall and you have to have very, very strong people there. and you will be able to control it. and i had an idea recently, when they send illegals into our country, we charge mexico $100,000 for every illegal that crosses that border. because it's trouble. i want them to come in, let them be legal. they have to go through a process. and the hispanics agree with me that. i love the mexican people, their spirit and everything else. they agree.

they have worked hard to become legal, and they don't like what's happening at the border where all of these illegals are flowing through. >> as you know mr. trump i was down at the board a dozen times, all the way from the rio grande to san diego where there is a drug warehouse and an office building tunnel built. when i sat through a briefing last year with governor perry, the one that president obama should have been at, i was told that since 2008, 645,000 crimes against texans alone, since 2008. why are people so resistant to acknowledge what is a simple, you know, unadulterated truth that crimes are happening because our border is not secure? why do you think there's so much difficulty and controversy in just stating that fact? >> first of all, governor perry did a terrible job when he was governor of texas, he could have done a lot better in terms of securing the border. he did a terrible job. whether he likes it or doesn't like it, i personally don't care.

but the job he did in terms of border security was absolutely terrible. and what i've heard from a lot of people, you know, mr. shore has this incredible son who was killed just horribly killed by an illegal that came in. this unbelievable young guy that was going to go to college on a scholarship, applying to stanford and all of this, just wiped out. what he told me is when people hear it's an illegal, they leave him alone. they don't do anything. they were going really after the guy. as soon as they found out he was illegal, our law enforcement didn't want to do anything. they don't want to work the same way. i'm saying, what is this a double standard? the answer is you have a double standard. it's hard to believe. i've heard this from five or six other groups. you know we had a news conference last week with five unbelievable families whose children had been -- were killed by illegals. they said the same thing.

as soon as the government found out they were illegal it became like, let's sort of leave it alone. they got very little cooperation. you'll have to explain that to your viewers. because why this would happen, it wouldn't happen with me. believe me. and mexico -- go ahead. >> i'm not trying to interrupt you. i want to go to the broader question here though. one of your major criticisms of your fellow candidates in the republican party is pretty much they're career politicians. they've been timid, weak and ineffective. when you look at the major issues that our next president will have, getting jobs for americans, the debt, deficit, healthcare, immigration, all education, all of these issues, national security, which is huge, what -- where -- how will you govern differently? in other words how will you deal with the economy and national security? go ahead. >> sean i'm going to bring trade back into the country. nobody's going to do it like me.

in fact a rival network of yours, i won't mention the name but they did a very big poll. and i kill everybody double and triple on things like trade and economics. anything having to do with financial and leadership. i won on leadership by a long shot. you have to bring trade in. you have to bring our jobs back from china and so many other place, including by the way mexico. ford is building a $2.5 billion plant in mexico right now. tennessee just lost a big beautiful auto plant from a german manufacturer, car manufacturer going to mexico. it's going to go instead of tennessee. tennessee expected to get it, they're not getting it. we need these built in the united states. we need the jobs here. nobody can do that like i do that. i understand, that's what i do. s that why when everyone looked at my financials that came out today, they were stunned. i'm a private person. >> i knew you were a billionaire. can you balance our budget? can you save social security? can you get the americans jobs?

how quickly would you be able to turn that around? >> i think very quickly. first of all, i want to save social security without the cuts. i'm the only one that can do it. i'm going to bring and jobs back. i'm going to bring money back. you know, one of the things i point out is that you have to have an ability to do that. jeb bush is not going to be able to negotiate with china. these guys are killers in china. they take advantage of us with their manipulation of the currency. so many other things. jeb bush sean is not going to be able to bring jobs back. that i can tell you right now. i will and i'll bring them back big league. we will have a great, great -- look at our gross -- or gdp last quarter was negative. you don't see that. you look at china where they go up 7%, 8% and they consider themselves a failure which is what happens. sean we went negative.

that means we're getting smaller. >> that means if we have another quarter of negative growth, that's called a recession. >> by the way, with more people. sean, with more people. >> good point. >> we're getting smaller but we have more people. >> how -- in your consciousness in your thought process when you were contemplating this run, you see 93 million americans out of the labor force. 50 million in poverty. 46 million on food stamps. how important are those people to you? you're a billionaire. i read your financial statement today. how important are those americans that are struggling just to survive? >> very important to me. you look at that labor force, it's ridiculous. they look for a job. you know the statistics are totally -- i don't know if they're done for some politician. i don't know when this started. you look for job, you can't find one, you give up looking for a job. people have given up. they're great people, they want to work. they want the make good money. they can't find a job. they're essentially for statistical purposes, they're considered employed. so the number doesn't reflect.

on to foxnews.com. welcome back to "hannity". the manhunt for the mexican drug lord joaquin el chapo guzman who escaped from a prison over the weekend. you can see on the video. earlier today mexican authorities released the footage of el chapo in his cell before his escape. as you can see he walks back and forth and then he goes right down and he's gone. joining us now on the ground in mexico tonight is fox news senior correspondent geraldo rivera. geraldo, this guy is extremely dangerous. he also now is threatened donald trump. what's going on there? >> he's not only extremely dangerous and threatening the donald sean but you know he's one of the richest men in the world. he's got a billion dollars according to forbes magazine. he obviously used that tremendous wealth to engineer a remarkable feat digging a tunnel from this maximum

security super maximum security prison one mile underground to a house that i visited earlier that they built from scratch. so this was a tremendous infrastructure project. they joke here in mexico this country is traumatized by this by the way -- they joke they should have el chapo finish the mexico city subway. i said why not the second avenue subway, the job that he did, his cronies. two thousand tons of dirt, which would have taken four guys working ten hours a day a full year to do. he did it. he escaped. not only did they dig that tunnel sean but they made it come up at precisely the right point, the one corner of el chapo's cell. where the security camera could not see, the ground right by the toilet. he's dangerous, sean, he is at large. and he is in many ways, i think, a kind of the model for what mexico is right now. it's a dysfunctional state. it is in a sad state. the president has lost all

credibility in losing his number one prisoner, el chapo. and now this country has to pick up the pieces and find out how this guy managed that. because he could not have done it, sean, without help pretty high up the food chain. >> he couldn't have done it without help. let's look at this here, they not only built the tunnel into the most secure prison that they have in mexico, the second time he's escaped. they had a motorcycle inside the tunnel to get him out of there? and nobody heard a thing? come on. >> this is a man who is, i think, by far, the most powerful person in mexico. he has as many guns, some say, as the mexican army. when they have gun fights he out guns them. he's the drug lord, the ruthless homicidal drug lord who has run the sinaloa drug cartel for many years.

he escaped in 2001. he was 14 years on the lam. the only way he wased sean, is with the help of u.s. intelligence. now everybody is scrambling to find out where he is. is he still in mexico? has he gone back to hide in his native sinaloa state which is on the pacific coast of the gulf of california there. where is he? will he -- i'm telling you, these threats against people like donald trump must be taken seriously. these people are the real deal. these are ruthless murdering organized criminals. and they can do the same thing the islamic terrorists do, they could get some kid to take a gun on a suicide mission and do something awful. >> so he had a lighted tunnel built under the prison air conditioned i read. an air conditioned tunnel for the comfort of el chapo. and a motorcycle and nobody knew anything. now, i want to go back to this issue of how dangerous he is. as i understand it everything i've read he's dealing heroin

all of these drugs, a multibillionaire. he takes his business seriously. now you have the issue of donald trump. doesn't this kind of validate in a lot of ways a lot of what trump is saying that the mexican government is corrupt, that they have enabled all of these people that are poor some looking for jobs people with good intentions but also criminals now have access to the united states and mexico hasn't lifted a fingerer to stop it? >> there is no doubt that this is a country suffering from malignant corruption. corruption that goes all the way up to the top. this would not have been possible without the active co-conspiracy of people in power. now, the real danger, to me on the border, is the disfunction of this government the fact it doesn't work anymore. that is a real national security threat to the united states of america. if mexico gets back to the

violence of the juarez cartel days it's going to spill over. it has to spill over. it's -- what trump says about the border, is -- by this graphic example proven at least to be partially true. >> i think it's more than partially true. the crime statistics bear this out. you know when i sat in that security briefing geraldo, with governor perry, since 2008 645,000 crimes against texans by illegal immigrants, that they have been victims of. so it's a real clear issue. it's not about the people that want to come here, work, have a better life for themselves and their family. the question is we read about all the kidnappings and all the killings and hostage taking that goes on in mexico. is this guy one of the ones mainly responsible? >> he is definitely one of the ones we are losing our satellite to you. we'll talk more tomorrow about this. but there is no doubt.

i've seen. to go into detail while eating about using ultrasound so as not to damage the body parts, the lungs, the liver, the heart. they use the forceps in the right way. i also thought the left's argument on abortion was this was just a blob of tissue. apparently valuable tissue and completely formed body parts we're talking about, right? >> keep in focus this is an illegal activity if you're selling body parts. it's why the organ donation system in america is just that it's a donation. you cannot buy a cornea a heart, a liver, you can't buy lungs. you have to get in line and it has to be through a donation. >> this is disturbing. i would love to know this president, why doesn't he order his attorney general to

was highly edited. you explain to us give us a clear understanding. how you can justify what this doctor was saying as she sat there fork in hand and casually ate her lunch. i just find that i would like to believe, sean that even people who are for abortion if they find there's a justification for that surely they could speak out against this kind of savage behavior. >> conventional wisdom if you listen to political pundits, it's maybe not the best strategy for republican presidential candidates to talk about social issues. you're out spoken about this issue. others have been -- i know scott walker said something as well. others have been quiet up to this point. between the gay marriage ruling and this do you believe these social issues will be at the forefront of this campaign you're running? >> well i think we'll talk

mostly about jobs and national security. i'm not going to be silent about the very foundation of our civilization. what we're seeing with the destruction of human life if we're not a civilized people. if we don't act with some level of decency toward nature and nature's god, which is words right from the declaration of independence then we don't have the foundation of our country. i mean everything that we stand for is based on being a moral people. and without that our country can't make it. i don't care what kind of economy we have. you can't separate the money of this country from the morality of this country. and if there are presidential candidates who want to just say, well we just want to focus only on the economy, never bring up the issues of integrity and honor and decency, i'm sure there's going to be place on the stage for them. but i think we can be inclusive and talk about the full spectrum of issues that make us a great
