and we should defund them this week. he blocked amendments to end sanctuary cities, to cut off funding. he blocked my amendment for kate's law. >> now the reason mcconnell blocked those things is that he did not want the bills attached to highway legislation which would provide $350 billion to rebuild the nation's roadways. mcconnell wants that passed and doesn't want any controversy attached to it in the form of extra amendments. talking points believes the three bills senator cruz is talking about defunding planned parenthood, punishing sanctuary cities and passing kate's law which would mandate five year prison terms for criminal aliens which come back. stand alone legislation. yes, there is a chance those bills would be filibustered in the senate. and would not get the 60 senate votes needed to put them up for a full vote. there is a chance that would happen. but, let the american people

see who is opposing putting felonious aliens in prison when they defy deportation. let the folks see who is voting against that. same thing with planned parenthood and same thing with sanctuary cities. if those bills are voted down in the senate. they are filibustered, the american people will have some serious issues with the democratic party i believe. if they pass congress, and president obama vetoes them, again, americans can can better ascertain who is looking out for people like kate steinle and unborn babies. the house will certainly pass all three bills. if senate majority leader mcconnell does not put those bills up for a vote, then he becomes just like harry reid and senator cruz's withering criticism becomes valid. now, we contacted mcdonnell's office today. they told us the senator will not will not block stand alone votes on kate's law, sanctuary cities and planned parenthood. good good. i would encourage mr. mcconnell to read hank

something passed. the problem is, of course, if you, in order to get the 60 votes to bring the underlying bill up in the first place you have made agreements about what amendments would be allowed and what amendments would not, and you break that agreement, the whole thing may go down. >> right. so sometimes these things are kind of delicate. >> nothing to do with the highway bill. sanctuary cities, kate's law. he wants to get that done to stimulate the economy and get the infrastructure up and running. i got it. >> mind you though, bill, he did allow certain amendments including one that's quite controversial that has do with the export import bank that searches don't like there were some amendments here and that's part of the controversy. >> he thought he could get everybody on board amend would have enough votes. >> the bill, the highway bill will in all likelihood. >> pass. >> goes to the house. the house will have to pass it. it won't pass it any time soon. none the less, smooth by the

with mr. charles krauthammer. >> no. i think for once he is wrong. it's certainly good to be skeptical but not since the hoover days when hoar was the director has the fbi engaged in abuses or made decisions for political reasons. under watergate they resisted the effort by nixon, the president to suppress that investigation. several years ago the fbi began an investigation of senator menendez, a democrat prosecution allegations which turned out to be bogus. and then into bribery. this is way before menendez criticized obama. now the fbi director comey is the guy who resisted and refused bush white house orders to continue to do intercepts when he thought that they were illegal. so, in my opinion, there is no way that the fbi would try to cover. >> all right. but they haven't announced it so far. how do you see it? do you think the fbi will -- they can investigate bay the

way on their own. they tonight need the attorney general to okay it. but they can't prosecute without the justice department the attorney general okaying it. is that correct? >> that's correct here the other thing. >> the unauthorized disclosure of information is the responsibility of the national security division at the justice department. they are the ones who will be supervising and directing the fbi. the fbi will be out there on their own. they will be under the direct supervision of the justice department. it's been five or six months since we knew about this. i can tell you any other lower level employee, if they had found out that that employee was using a personal serve tore run their email communications through. particularly somebody with access to sensitive and classified information the justice department and the fbi would have been in court the next day with a search warrant.

>> why do you think they haven't been aggressive toward hillary clinton? >> well, the reason is political. >> what does that mean though? loretta lynch is in the tank in the attorney general? it is political. the only way to know whether her email server was accessed by servers. we all know that the only way you get to the bought of, this and that's why i said hillary clinton herself should call for it is to have the fbi look at her server. >> the fact that hillary was using this server is not enough to trigger an fbi investigation. >> but now the inspectors general is. >> and a the fbi needs some concrete indication of wrongdoing. >> now they have it. >> now they have it. >> it's suspicious or the timing is. >> they could if they wanted to. no, no. we don't want the fbi, you know rummaging through everyone's personal lives. >> it's not everyone. >> without -- >> it's not everyone though.

>> what do you think about the explosion in homelessness? >> it's awful. a lot of people are noticing it and people are placing the blame on the mayor. >> the homeless surge taking place in the neighborhood. you have noticed it? >> yes. of course i have noticed it. >> i think the mayor is totally to blame. the guy at the top sets the tone. >> do you ever feel unsafe? >> yes, actually i have a couple of times. >> what do you think of the mayor? >> i love the mayor. more than anybody. >> he is not doing nothing for the city. i don't know why people voted for him. >> how do you think the homeless situation has changed since he became mayor? >> worser. >> i heard there was a homeless person in front of mansion the other day. >> where the mayor lived. >> and they removed him. >> they removed the guy from the the mansion but let guys pee all over your neighborhood. >> yes it's pretty disgusting. >> do you think the mayor is a hypocrite. >> i do. >> i used to be a homeless person. i came out of that i got my
