repair manual for the boeing triple seven. it shoes the diagram of the wing parts. and it includes a part that the number matches what we know to be the number that was written inside of this particular piece of the plane's wing. how certain are you that this comes from the malaysian airline jet? >> jon, i am almost certain that this is sadly from malaysian 370. >> there are not any other triple 7s that lost flopinators. and i think it a mere formality. a necessary one. but when it is confirmed, it will sadly confirm that the plane crashed most probably in the southern ocean. but the more important point obviously every piece in the

puzzle is helpful, but we really need to find out where the aircraft wreckage is and i don't think it moves that ball forward finding the actual wreckage. that's what we really need. what brought the plane down. this doesn't bring us much closer to that given the length of time. >> we have the graphic and wing tip of the boeing triple seven in the bottom of the screen. you can see the flapperon that apparently washed up on the beach in the islands off of africa. and the part number is stencilled in the part of the wing. it is a six foot section of it that helps the plane stay at

spodes when landing. >> and you sort of answered this in the earlier answer. this piece ended up 3500 miles away from where they think the plane went down and that is like having something wash up you know in san francisco that originally came from the state of maine somewhere. does this give us a better idea where the plane went down mitch? >> i don't think so. sadly i don't think so. the southern ocean. i am a sailor and it is dopest mountains and caverns and the currents move in a counter clockwise way and given the barnacle growth i don't think it will help us pinpoint the

location. i think it may yield small pieces of evidence. egypt air that crashed in the ocean it was a different type of ocean bottom. but each piece helped and here,y would be curious was it a in- flight operation due to high speed or separation that occurred as a result of corrosion. there may be small pieces of information that the investigators may get, but it is a largeand i emphasize small pieces may come out in examination of that flapperon. >> and it came from outside of the fuselage and one of the theories. we'll not know unless we find the black boxes or fusel age. one of the theories that the

plane sank largely intact without breaking in half. >> that's right, jon. we would have expected as we saw in some of the other crashes, the lighter debris coming up and floating on the surface. and here it appears a reasonable spec of speculation that the fusleage went in at a high rate of speed. and i am curious as to whether it was separated in a high rate of speed and lighter debrie was captured or contained in the fusleage and in the bottom of the ocean as to floating on the ocean's surface. >> mitch is an aviation attorney and expert as well.

clinton this is somebody we don't necessarily trust and consider honest. and the e-mail question and what is in them and as they come out. there really is not a smoking gun. it is a continuation of various investigation and whether class foyed information was misappropriately handled and then national security and she was secretary of state and so forth. it is a trustworthiness and also a question of how you are are treating national security issues. and it is a potent issue for republicans. >> if she is running on her record, this is a part of the record and this is a damaging part, the handling of the e-mails. >> that's why she is not talking much about the secretary of state and her tenure. when you are this well known and been around this long sometimes

>> there are new questions about a suspect sorely killer shot and killed by an escort in her home. they are investigationing neal falls for ties to missing or murdered women. the man reportedly from oregon had contact with law enforcement in 20 states and we are learning about a possible on line altereg. falls may have maintained a false facebook page with a series of disturbing posts. and bring in rod wheeler. a former homicide detective and fox news contributor. this facebook page was under the name of bj ross a female interestingly enough and in which there were disturbing

photos of barbie posugzed and cut up other dolls and that kind of thing. does that fit the profile and personality of a serial predator? >> it does. youous the term disturbing. what is more disturbing police are looking at homicide cases dating all the way back to 2003 and women who have the same profile as heather. who ultimately killed this guy. and women who fit the same profile went missing including four women in nevada and their bodies were ultimately found in the state of illinois. this case is just beginning to blossom, and what the investigators are going to realize and find out, jon, he was probably involved in a number of homicides in the country. >> we have a screen map now of

the states where he is known to have had contact with police. oregon, you might expect that is where his vehicle carried plates and look at them. all over the country. montana colorado arizona, texas and all the way to georgia and ultimately west virginia where he was shot and killed. and so now the authorities have to go back and try to find out where he was at the time and who might have disappeared in one of those states. it is a daunting order? >> they are working hand in hand looking at each and everyone of these cases. important thing to note here at the time he was killed in the state of west virginia when they looked in his vehicle and personal affects, this guy had a listing of women who he planned to visit over the next

few months and so the question becomes, were they going to be the next victims of the guy. and thankfully heather was able to get the gun away. she would be his next victim and she was able to kill him. looked at that and this guy had a kill kit in the truck of his car. and that consisted of hand cuffs and rope and machetes and things like that. they were the tools and weapons of choice that this guy was going toous to kill other women. >> we know he was pulled over in 20 or so other states. if you are a trooper and you pull over a guy in a vehicle like his, and you shine your light in the back seat or daylight or look in there and see the axs and handcuffs, does that give you grounds to perhaps

detain him or run a check on who this guy is and what he is up to? >> excellent question and the answer is yes, it does. police officers are trained when they see items like that inside of the vehicle, it does warrant further investigation. they could have had him step out of the car and investigate him more and put his information in a database and try and link them together. an astute police officer will look further. >> perhaps the police can bring closure to the families in for exampling out in neal falls is responsible for the deaths in the country. >> thank you, jon. >> political pundits eating

basically like watching the nick fanning episode in replay. the board went up in the air. the tail was thrashing around. fortunately my friend got back onto his board and was brought into the beach. with shark headlines on our coast. groups in california have purchased a drone to spot sharks swimming in populated areas. sounds like it would work. >> reporter: hey, there. a pretty cool use of technology in seal beach to spot sharks. the old-school way to do this is the life guards sit on the stands and watch the water or take a jet ski out. with the drones it's faster and more efficient. when we tagged along with the life guards they launched a drone and spotted a great shark

immediately. now they've learned that they have ten to 15 sharks swimming consistently throughout the area. they're all juveniles and don't pose a threat but they have put warning signs up and are telling people to be careful. they say they plan to shut the beach down if sharks get too big or aggressive. it's all in an effort to keep the beach goers and surfers safe. >> i think it's great. we're out there. we can't see them until they're really really close, if that's the case. some preventive measures are always awesome. >> reporter: they have to get a permit with the faa which they're working on right now. as of now this is just a trial phase. they do say they're getting calls from life guards across the country to see how successful their drone program has been. you couple the drones with some new apps we've reported on that let people know exactly where great whites are because they've been tagged and you have pretty much the most educated beach goers and surfers possible
