of a campaign cash crunch and the response. over on the democratic side, bernie sanders drew enormous crowds, more than five times than hillary clinton. does he have a shot. do you ever feel you don't pay enough taxes or that everyone is trying to kill you? well, one southern state is now asking folks to donate money to help make up for a budget short-fall. we'll see how that's going. let's get to it. first donald trump is a clear front runner no more. that's according to a finding from a couple of brand new polls. the first scientific survey since last week's republican debate. they show that trump who once led by a wide margin is tied in the first two voting states iowa and new hampshire. this is but one of the major headlines showing the contenders are on the move.
12:02 pm
let's start in iowa. according to the university poll likely republican voters dump comes in with 17% of support. you can see that's not how it should be worded but you know what i mean. 17% people surveyed say they would vote for him. scott walker and the florida senator marco rubio have lower numbers but all within the margin of error. one of the candidates could be the real front runner. the numbers are closer among people who watched the debate. more from people who watched and this is very telling. 55% said they were less comfortable with trump as a candidate. 23% said they were more comfortable. in new hampshire, the poll showed five candidates within the margin of error for the lead. trump lost ground and clocked in at 18% support. former florida governor jeb bush down at 13%. look at the ohio governor john
12:03 pm
kasich right behind bush with 12%. all of them within the margin of error. another statistic tie. donald trump said that he's still not ruling out a possible third party run, something he took some heat for in the debate. remember there was some booing in the audience. we're getting word one candidate's campaign could be close to an all out collapse. we have the story live in washington. rick perry has money problems. >> he does. his campaign cash is so low. he stopped spaying staffers. some perry employees are pledging to stay onboard as volunteers like this unpaid worker who wrote on twitter i work for governor perry because i believe in him. not a job for me. this is a passion. a mission to save the nation that adopted me. perry's backers think he could last until early voting. because the former texas

governor is also being backed by outside groups with deep pockets. promising to keep him going with an adviser for a pro perry super pack that we have got plenty of money. the super pack is not going to let perry down. there are very strict rules that say super pack in campaigns cannot coordinate. it will be interesting to see how the group plans to propel perry without being allowed to talk to its campaign. >> jeb bush with a speech tonight? >> yeah. isis exists today because secretary of state clinton was weak. he'll also lay out a plan to go out on offense to destroy isis instead of waiting for the next initiative. trump, his plan for neutralizing the militants focusing on ftakig their oil away because trump said if they don't have oil they don't have money.

12:06 pm
drew in 200 people in new hampshire. donald trump said more than 12,000 people turned out but according to the washington post that number was more like 4,200 because the fire code for the room where he spoke was 4,000 people. he also spoke with 1,200 people for that. jeb bush posted the debate that hundreds of people turned out for his post debate rally. >> okay. thanks. hillary clinton still the democratic front runner. not to say that bernie sanders has the enormous crowd and clinton has the small one. her campaign say she's better in small rooms so that's how they're doing it. sanders closing in on clinton in new hampshire. he's from vermont. what's going on with bernie sanders?
12:07 pm
>> he appears to be connecting with young folks. huge crowds in recent days on the west coast. in seattle sanders had an estimated 15,000 people show up to show their support and sanders had a chance to shake some hands and thank those who turned out. in portland sunday an estimated 28,000 folks turned out to hear from the vermont senator and last night in l.a. sanders fed off the local crowd. >> we don't take money for billionaires! we don't take money for corporations! and yet, we have received more individual contributions than any other campaign! >> more good news for sanders came late yesterday when national nurses united the largest nurses union endorsed sanders for president. >> what are we hearing from
12:08 pm
hillary clinton? >> she seems focused on poking fun at the republicans calling them entertaining. yesterday she mentioned marco rubio blasting him for his position on abortion and today she went after scott walker on the issue of education. >> you take somebody like governor walker of wisconsin who seems to be delighting in slashing the investment in higher education in his state. >> with 17 republican candidates running walker and rubio are delighted to be mentioned by name. some experts say singling them out to just clinton and her aides see walker and rubio as potential threats. >> we have seen arrests and injuries in the streets of ferguson. the hopes are that the calm has returned to that city. we'll take you live there next.

updates as we get them. we could see changes in college sports as early as this week. analysts say they expect the national labor relations board to soon decide whether northwestern university football players can unionize. billions of dollars clearly at stake. many former players have argued the ncaa violates the federal law. last year a regional board's ruling gave northwestern's scholarships employee status. it was claimed the student athletes are the first. this would apply only to private schools but could lead to similar efforts. effectively changing the game across college sports. the fox business network is live in washington. give it some context on how big this decision could be. >> reporter: a lot of implication here for a game that so many follow. this could disrupt the entire ncaa model as we know it. you probably remember the name

ken colter. he was the star quarterback for the northwestern wildcats. he was the one that led the huddle on this. last year he argued he and his teammates should be treated as employees and be able to form a union due to the hours they put in on the field and the millions of dollars they generate each and every year for their school. if they win their case coming up in washington, they could end up seeking union benefits. at about 100 players on a team each year, that adds up. here's in d.c. this is howard university behind me. the head coach here -- they were practicing here. he told me his kids, should northwestern end up winning this case, his kids will certainly take notice. take a listen. >> if it's something that works at northwestern and goes around i'm pretty sure we'll have guys that will research it and bring it to the table. >> so start multiplying this out and you can see how the money in big time college athletics could

mind you though, on the flip side of this, it's a 2% devaluation. since 2005 the currency is actually appreciated. it's strengthened over 30% because of the pounding of the united states and the european union on china saying keeping your currency too cheap that's making your exports too chieap. that's way more competitive than we think you should be. t china appreciated the currency over time. now after that 30% run-up it could devalue more because china says we're now going to benchmark it against the market and not control it. >> we're starting to make things in america again for the first time in a long time. does this hurt that? >> it hurts the exporters the big companies that you're seeing on the stock market. even the 2% adjustment worries people because they think more is to come. cheaper chinese currency.
