american people on the factor. bill gets answers to the questions you have been demanding. >> is it the president though, constitutionally bound to enforce the law? >> caution. you are about to enter the no spin zone. a special edition of the factor gwinns right now. ♪ ♪ hi, i'm eric bowling ir bil. thanks for watching this special edition of the factor election 2016. after a dramatic week in the presidential race, the campaign has come to iowa. many of the democratic and republican candidates are flocking to the iowa state fair this weekend, trying to win the hearts and minds of voters where the first presidential caucus will take place joining us now from the state fair in des moines, iowa, fox news chief political correspondent carl cameron. karl, the trump bandwagon rolls into iowa tomorrow via chopper. give us a sense of the level of enthusiasm for trump in iowa.

>> it's pretty extraordinary. he is obviously not a career politician. he has never run for president and come to iowa as a republican candidate before. he did run for president in the reform ticket a few parties back. but tomorrow is being sort of eagerly anticipated by all types of fair goers. this is a bipartisan fair, obviously. it's open to the public. so there are going to be democrats, perhaps throwing questions at mr. trump, independents, as well as republicans. he won't actually sit and a take the stage at the so-called soapbox where all the candidates speak. he have amedia availability with reporters. there will be 40 trailing him around with cameras and video cameras and hand held things to live cast it to the web. and he is leading the polls. and he is owning the buzz. he is -- most of the discussion by all of the candidates is about trump. there is a lot of questions amongst iowa caucus goers whether or not he will flesh out the skelton of bumper sticker slogans and hot let

rubbing with policy. iowaians demand that front runner earn is talking even his rivals. >> the corn kernel poll, what is that? >> corn kernel poll is put on by who radio. what you do is take a corn kernel from them and put it into the jar with the picture of the candidate that you like. now we are in the second day of the corn kernel poll it's going to go all 10 days. the record was achieved in last year's senate races when joni ernst has 56,000 votes collectively and she won the straw poll here at the fair and she won the u.s. senate seat. trump is winning hands down. ben carson is seconds. and no one is even close to the rest of the two of them. it's a lot like the most recent polls. trump is in the 30's. ben carson is in the 20's. carson is in the teens and everybody else down in single digits. >> speaking of ben carson he

entered the no spin zone. he put nasty accusations to rest. are iowaians excited about another nonpolitician running as president. >> absolutely. one of the things so key here in ground game. some think because they are not politician they may not have any very seriously mistaken. both of those gentlemen have hired long time iowa pros in the case of donald trump, it's chuck laudner the man who helped rick santorum win the iowa caucuses in 2000 will. bebb carson ryan rhodes he in 2010 was one of the very first tea party organizers here in iowa. he is he with ben carson and they have organizers in all 99 counties. and better than half of the 1700 precincts already. the trump people are trying to do that. ben carson already has. he is going to be a serious player and not going away with the depth of his organization. >> all right. moving on, karl, to the next one. carlie fiorina. she has been on a roll lately. she made some news today talking about vaccinations

and whether they should be mandatory to school kids. your thoughts on that and how the iowa people' are taking that. >> well, carly fiorina has not spent a great deal of time in iowa. she has come here but hasn't been doing the types of bus tours outside of des moines and big cities particularly in the northwestern part of the state real bassian. she got the biggest bounce out of the beef bates. only woman on the field. she has a lengthy business record. she can go toe to toe with donald trump when it comes to either hillary clinton bashing or claims of job creation, et cetera. she can fund her own campaign should she should too. she is worth about $30 billion. she is using campaign contributions right now. carly fiorina is a player. for her to come out to iowa and do hard core retail politicking as is demanded, will bees next big test for her. she has proven that she can carry the tune in terms of

the policy issues that matter. she has proven she can be a very very tough critic of hillary clinton. the important thing for her to do now is build the organization that can continue to sort of gas her campaign bus all the way to the finish line. >> so, you said is the next one is jeb bush. you sat down with jeb bush earlier. we will take a listen to it and get your comments in a second. listen. >> where do you need to to be post labor day in 17 horse euphemistically race? >> it's hard to tell. i don't know if everybody is going to be in it for the long haul. we have a tragedy in each of the early states in iowa. it's to organize and organize. i will be here regularly. we have had great events. lots of enthusiasm. and got to convert that to caucus goers. it's not the same thing as going to the polls or voting absentee. you really have to be all in to be able to show up monday night for two hours on a february 1st. >> karl, give us a sense of the enthusiasm surrounding jeb bush. he really needs a come back here, does he not?

>> yes, he does. jeb bush has never said he expects to win in iowa. that's very telling. iowa, new hampshire, and south carolina traditionally you have got it win at least one or two of those states in order to have enough national name recognition. i.d. and incoming donations to go through the remaining 47 states and the additional territories and to actually clinch the nomination. jeb bush's campaign here has not been anywhere near as aggressive as the other candidates. enemy ways is he running the type of frontrunner campaign that and stops in iowa for cattle calls and big events like this but doesn't spend days at a time out in the country going to very small events, meaning 150, 15 people at a time. which is how people like rick santorum and mike huckabee won the 2012 and 2008 caucuses here in iowa. jeb bush hasn't done that. this is a swing state. and the general election, it's purple. in iowa, only about 120,000 republican also show up for the caucus, and that will be

a record. when you consider that there is nearly i 4 million people here, there are an awful lot of republican moderates who will not be participating in the caucuses who may well be jeb bush supporters. the drim marks the riddle, and in his own words, the problem, is whether or not jeb bush can, quote: lose the primary or potentially in this case the caucus and then still manage to win the general. he has been testing that question virtually every week with his arguments over common core and immigration and now, the question comes, when he comes here to the fair today, jeb bush had a fine showing. it was a huge sacrum of -- scrum of supporters. he got questions about immigration. the one thing he got more than anything was questions about trump. karl, before we lose you i only have about a minute or so. talk to us about hillary clinton. she is going to roll in tomorrow. she hasn't spent a lot of time in iowa. new hampshire, she is severely under water to bernie sanders by six or seven points.

how does she turn that around? can she turn it around? or is it too early for her to turn it around? >> well, first, in new hampshire, bernie sanders' surge may have something to do with being a favorite nephew. is he is after all from vermont and it's next door. hillary clinton did win new hampshire back in 2000 will. but that was after she got her clock cleaned here in iowa. she didn't come in second. >> she came in third. not just to barack obama but also to the now disgraced former senator job edwards she came in third. her work here is going to definitely be cut out for her. tomorrow has the kind of potential for political spectacle that we have never seen. the kind of crowd that hillary and trump is going to draw, if they clyde on the midway the fair is going to look like it did when the hoover trains were clashed together as part of the fair's show. >> carl, we have to leave it there always great to talk to you. thank you very much. next on the rundown, new polls show big problems for hillary clinton and her presidential campaign as her email scandal seems to grow worse by the day. we will analyze that when

real clear politics. david, your thoughts on the real clear politics hillary clinton knowingly lied about the emails? >> it's interesting, suffolk university did a poll back in june of just democratic voters in new hampshire testing not only the email issue but benghazi. it didn't bother democratic voters back then if you asked does it individually bother you a majority in each of those three cases said no, didn't bother. but when we asked will it hurt her in the general election? in each of the three democrats likely democratic voters in new hampshire sced said that it did. email issue 51 to 41 to help. >> tom, leadership like every single day there is information coming out. still more room on the downside for hillary clinton's campaign, right? >> sure.

sure. i mean, look at this story, sort of like it's a morbid analogy but like a cancer. it's a malignant tumor and it's metastasizing as we get story and story. we learn more and more about this. and what's interesting about that poll, eric, is the number i you always look at, republicans definitely think she lied and they are not going to vote for her anyway. the fact that it's starting to disturb some democrats if some of them decide not to vote for her that would be an issue. most will vote for her anyway. what do independents think. two out of three independents think she lied and those are the numbers that will really drag her down in general election. >> no doubt that's huge important number. back to david though. they say the old saying that the coverup is 10 times worse than the actual crime in this case it could be the crime and the coverup because we are finding out more information. >> it could be. the test though is what's going to happen in that democratic primary because hillary clinton even in the

real clear politics average is ahead. one poll hasan ders winning in south carolina you go right back to clinton country. it's very interesting to see the difference between democratic voters and the electorate. >> tom, producers, if you don't mind could you put that second poll up again that shows hillary clinton did hillary clinton put u.s. security at rusk by mishandling classified emails. this is extremely important. it's not a question whether she lied or not. in this poll they are asked whether the security of the united states was put at risk by it i think voters down the road are more concerned about that poll number than the prior one tom, would you agree? >> i think that's definitely important. no question. i mean, the idea that someone in her position, right, secretary of state, was mishandling information that would put the united states security at risk that's a big deal. all of this is tied in to her honesty and trustworthiness numbers. this story has been taking a

mexico. i have hundreds, actually thousands of mexicans that have worked for me over the years and now the fact is that mexico, terrific people, and really smart leadership. and they are killing our leadership because they are sharper, they are more cunning. >> all right. you said that before. >> they know what they are doing and still they are taking in. >> you haven't said how you are going to make nieto pay for the wall. >> it's simple. they are taking in billions and billions of dollars. they're building the ford motor company is building a 2.5-million-dollar. >> are you going to stop trade with them? >> no. i'm going to say mexico, guess what? it's this is not going to continue. you are going to pay for the wall. i have said they are going to pay for the wall and they will pay for the wall. bill, it's peanuts compared to the money we are talking about. they take in they are doing to us in trade and at the border it's unbelievable. >> if you would repeal nafta by executive order as president that would certainly hurt mexico. so maybe you could do that. >> isis. how are you going to defeat isis? >> i would hit them so hard. i would find our proper general.

skills. >> those tired programs are now supporting 50% of american households. getting some kinds of means tested which is beyond social security and medicare, money and they don't want to give the money up. >> well, i don't necessarily -- >> -- that's her constituency. >> i think the vast majority of americans would prefer to have a better paying job but they don't have the skills for higher paying job or america isn't creating enough of them because we are not globally competitive. >> we have to unleash the free marketplace. >> hillary clinton herself, you are going to attack her as being dishonest woman? are you going to do that? >> i will tell you what we can't afford. >> no, no, no, no. are you going to say that hillary clinton's dishonest? >> look, we don't need any drama in the white house. at this incredible hinge moment in our history pack in the white house two people everywhere they go bring drama with them. this country cannot afford another 8 years of a soap opera. >> are you going to point out what the dramas are? >> absolutely. would see what they are already. >> do you believe that american women in general are not treated the same way

the men are in the workplace? >> well, i think there is some evidence of that. but, i don't believe -- look, if you create a meritocracy, a real a meritocracy where you pay for performance, pay for merit, instead of say time and grade or how long you have been there or what you look like, then you are going to have an equal pay environment. of course, democrats don't like that. they like seniority systems. that's what unions do. that's what federal government bureaucracies do. if you will give a woman the opportunity to credibility, then you have an environment that not only works better but provides equality of women. not all environmental. >> because of biology women take time off from work to raise money. >> absolutely. >> their priorities are different. >> that's right that's why a seniority system disadvantages women. >> my point is this: i think that in this country, particularly in the media, women have just as much

chance to succeed as men here and in my business. >> in your world. >> i don't see it -- i guess it's the same in wal-mart. if you are good, the wal-mart people don't care whether you are a man or a woman unless there is some idiot in charge. overall in our society, i think women in america do have equal opportunity. am i wrong? >> there is no question that women in america have more opportunity than anywhere else in the world. there is no question. i mean, i started out as a secretary. and i had the chance to become the chief executive officer of the largest technology company in the world and now i'm running for president. that's only possible in this country. it's also true that women are half the nation. and so women are half potential of this nation. and if you look at the burdens of poverty, for example, it falls most heavily on women. if you look at the fact that women sometimes do leave the workforce for a time. whether you have seniority systems that pay for time and grade. that disadvantages women. >> no. it does, but, remember, the poverty on women is driven

used that very term. the israeli government officials, three different times, recently have said we're going to create another holocaust. one of them said that we will wipe israel off the face of the map. the other one said it's great that the jews are all in israel. that way we don't have to chase them down. they are all in one place. these aren't conjectures on my part, bill. i have been going to israel since 1973. dozens and dozens of times. and i have also been to auschwitz three times. the reason that happened is because people in europe and in the united states said nothing like that can happen. >> and, listen, you are right in the sense that the iranians -- some in the iranian government are "on the record" that we want to destroy israel. >> that's their official position. >> that's their official position. that being said is, if you take that position, what they said, as gospel, you can't make a deal with iran on any level at any time. you can't.

>> why would you want to make a deal with people that don't ever honor the deals they made and went quit that rhetoric? now, if they made some concessions to preconditions and said we no longer will say this about israel, we will respect their right to exist, we won't continue to call america the great satan and say death to america in the chambers of our government. >> let's assume they are not going to do that because they are fanatical haters and that's who they are. but you just said it you can't make a deal with them. so then the alternative is war. is it not? >> no, it is not. that's what president obama and john kerry keep saying. >> right. >> as if they are the only ones who have come up with any options. the real option is to continue the sanctions, don't let loose, make them even tougher. >> but russia and china told us if we had walked away from this deal that they weren't going to obey the sanctions any longer. i think you would have had more defectors, too. so it would have been the united states and maybe britain and a few others. >> there is san option.

opportunity in 2009 to stop it and we didn't. >> stay on topic here. if we don't make the deal, they get the nuke. >> if we don't go in and militarily make sure they don't. >> so you are basically saying there would be war? >> there could be. but the better thing is to cut them off economically. >> you can believe there is no investigation into the planned parenthood at this point? >> no, i can't. given what we have seen on these videos and the history, there absolutely should be. there is enough here to investigate, let's get the facts as you said in your opening. let's get the facts, let's see where they lead and let's move on this because we're talking about some things that are highly offensive to most of the people in america and if, as alleged on the video, they are against the law. >> now, there obviously is a political component here because the president of the united states is a big planned parenthood supporter. right? >> yes, sir. >> everybody knows that. >> he has made it clear. >> isn't the president though, constitutionally

bound to enforce the law and so is nancy pelosi. >> he took an oath as you said and i took the same kind of oath. you said i swear to enforce the laws. not the laws i like or the laws i agree with you about the laws. and this president has not done that and this attorney general in her first real challenge has to show everybody is she going to be the chief federal law enforcement officer of this country or is she going to play politics? >> but, can she go against her boss, the president of the united states? >> i absolutely think she can. as attorney general we have seen that happen in the past. we have seen attorney generals resign. >> nixon era. >> why should we expect the same type of ethical conduct and righteousness from the current attorney general? >> now, we are not convicting planned parenthood here. we are just saying we need to know the facts because the taxpayers are funding. do you believe the taxpayers should spend money on planned parenthood? >> no, i don't. let me tell you, bill. we, in new jersey, i absolutely vetoed planned parenthood funding six years

in the back of the books segment, democrats in disarray. hillary clinton is losing more ground in the polls but who is in the best position to exploit it? joining us now to analyze from washington political reporter at the hill along with political reporter for the washington post. who picks up the ground that hillary clinton is losing? everyone says sanders. he is doing very well in new hampshire. is it time maybe biden or al gore jump in? >> i think a lot of the democratic strategists are skeptical that it will continue. he is a self described socialist

and has never really had deep ties with the democratic party. he is not registered with the democratic party officially. i think that what we could be seeing over the next couple of weeks as people like former maryland governor martin o'malley who has not caught on in any of the polls could begin to catch on. as well as vice president joe biden there are a lot of conversations happening about whether or not someone like him would be able to get in the race and shake things up. that could pose a significant primary threat. >> is it amazing that the next best hope that things blow up for hillary clinton that the next best hope is a socialist? >> right, like kevin said i don't know if he is the next best thing for them because they aren't going to elect a socialist. it is not their best bet running into a general election. >> what happens? they found more top secret e-mails that she knew about and her numbers continue to fall and

her honesty and trustworthiness numbers fall and they have to turn to somebody who do they turn to? >> in that absolute worst case scenario for democrats someone like joe biden does step up. he is interested. it is a job that he wants. someone floated the idea that maybe he would only run for one term. he would swoop in and bring washington back together and then not run for a second term because of his age. right now hillary is not in that dire straits. her honesty factor is dropping. the clintons have been here before. this is classic clinton. they find themselves in hot water and somehow always find a way to get out of it. >> when hillary clinton was leading by 60 points those on the left are saying she is very strong. we have our candidate. as it is cut down to maybe 30 to 35 points, cut in half her lead the left is saying this is really good for hillary. she needs competition.

are they just making excuses? >> we have heard this for years ever since the possibility that secretary clinton would run for president. she has faced significant problems with the base including from the elizabeth warren/bernie sanders wing of the party. the fact that you have the latest new hampshire poll that sanders has surged ahead of hillary clinton is under scoring the fact that there is a lot of frustration and i think a lot of democrats don't want there to be a coronation. this whole notion of running an isolated type campaign will only box her back in. >> you know what is interesting to see, tomorrow i believe 1:00 p.m. that helicopter, that trump helicopter starts to land and gets down to des moines. there will be a meet and greet and then a donald trump with a photo opnext to the butter cow.

what is going on in the trump band wagon? it is really entertaining. >> so i actually went out to iowa in june and started talking to people that were operating donald trump's ground game. and there is a ground game in iowa. he has a field of operation. he has grass roots supporters out there getting out the vote. what they say is trump out there he is saying all of the stuff that he says, being loud and trump like. behind the scenes they are talking to people who don'ttypically vote in the iowa caucus and trying to convince them to come out for trump in january. >> don't forget the guy running the ground game is the architect behind rick santorum's remarkable win. >> who won the iowa caucus last time around? great talking to both of you. thank you very much. coming up we will show you the most bizarre insane political ad of the season. stay tuned.
