the kind of person who makes you want to be better, do better, my husband, doug brunt. yay, who was born on this date in 1971. thank you, thank you, with our three kids right now at the beach. happy birthday, dugger. i bought him a donald trump tie. tonight, how worried is the clinton campaign now that crazy uncle joe biden could jump dmoo into this race? ed henry has a full report. plus they're at it again. >> mr. trump's plans are not grounded in conservative principles. >> jeb bush doesn't have the energy or capacity to make our country great again. >> jeb bush and donald trump trading jabs over their plan to combat illegal immigration. you are tearing up communities over thugs and criminals. >> a navy vet unloads on the black lives matters movement. she is here to explain what led her to make that video. >> it's not about color. it's all about the law. >> sheriff david clark is here to weigh in.

plus, juan williams, frank luntz. "hannity" starts right here, right now. >> welcome to "hannity" tonight. hillary clinton's campaign could be in serious trouble with falling poll numbers, major scandals that are now mounting. the democratic front-runner could soon be faced with another major challenge. latest reports joe biden, crazy uncle joe is seriously entering the 2016 race. here with more on how the clinton campaign is reacting to the news, our very own ed henry. ed? >> reporter: sean the clinton camp is playing defense. democratic sources tell us vice president joe biden basically got a green light from president obama during a private lunch at the white house. as it appears biden is getting closer to getting in. sources confirming a "washington post" report that the vice president has now set up meeting at the naval observatory after labor day with top fund-raisers who raised big money for the obama/biden ticketed. clinton's poll numbers continue to sag in key battlegrounds like new hampshire. a new survey, public policy
10:02 pm
polling shows democratic social is beating her. that may explain why clinton is now interrupting her vacation in the hamptons to hit the campaign trail the next three days. tonight the clinton camp is offering a new excuse about why she jokes about wiping her server with a towel. john podesta telling reporters the candidate was badgered by a fox reporter, although i think the questions were fair and balanced. sean? >> ed henry joining me with reaction democratic strategist jessica tarlov and drea tantaros. the amazing thing, joe biden comes back from vacation. he didn't have to tell the world he was meeting with elizabeth warren. they leaked it. the best political decision barack hussein obama ever made is picking joe biden and, of course, it shows that he's well qualified for the top job. it seems obama is now throwing hillary down the stairs. thoughts? >> yeah, bill clinton threw obama down the stairs in 2008 remember when he said this is the biggest fantasy. this is payback, sean.
10:03 pm
there is no love lost between the clintons and the obamas. also, think about it. if you are president obama, this is a win for you. one, you can stay neutral, few if you want, you can stay in the race. publicly, if joe gets in the race, all he cares about is his legacy. who will provide it better, joe biden or the clintons? they will triangulate against president obama. >> here is the interesting part. they're going to try and go scorched earth. that's how they deal with politics. but hillary doesn't know what the fbi has. she may need a pardon, jessica. >> i think all of this obviously falls apart if there is an indictment for hillary or her top aides. i think that's really actually the only way that the clinton train stops here. to andrea's point, i think you're right about '08 and the clintons. but the clintons did the obama administration a big solid in 2012. bill clinton went out hard for him. he was the only one actually
10:04 pm
explaining obamacare clearly to the country. you remember how much obama fumbled that, himself. we have the explainner chief of the our health care policy. i think in that sense the obama administration thinks they owe clintons something too. she was secretary of state. we want to get into debating whether that was successful or not. >> the quid pro quo, joe will get the nomination, step aside. it's not your tush. >> she's not going to go that easily. >> here's the thing. i think hillary is not necessarily a winner, either. i think this white house would rather have biden protect their legacy than have hillary clinton. sean, i have never been more excited to have ed mcmahon, aka joe biden, crazy uncle joe jump in. and you know what? he is going to outflank her on the left. he is going to deliver the message that your party really wants. >> but the progressive wing of the party is firmly behind bernie sanders. that machine have i there. the centrist to left machinery is with hillary clinton.
10:05 pm
she's still up in the polls. >> if she partners with warren, if they get on the ticket together. >> they take away. >> >> if elizabeth warren gets in the race. >> donald trump, 35% in new hampshire, 35% in south carolina. 32% nationally latest reuters poll. i tweeted out today, why, he reignited this battle with megyn kelly. why not focus on isis, iran, putin, china? immigration, borders, the economy, jobs? and not this. wouldn't that be smarter to focus on the issues? >> look, he's winning on the issues. he should stay on the issues, because this is where he wins. every time he talks about an issue like immigration. he makes all of the other candidates look weak because he says i'm going do, this i'm going to do that. you know what these established republicans say you can't do that? no one wants to hear you can't do anything. >> i don't know how sustainable he is. he's done an incredible job and ignited this controversy. >> over immigration. >> over political gravity.
10:06 pm
>> a thousand percent. i think 85% of republicans say they wouldn't vote for him. >> no, that's number has changed dramatically. >> they want to win. >> i think they're going to try to crush all the insurgents. ted cruz, donald trump, ben carson, they're going after him. >> it's not working. >> so far. >> maybe john kasich rises up there. >> he is rising. >> he is my dark horse. >> i'm with you. john kasich has the most inclusive message on the republican side. >> inclusive. that's liberal speak for hug, politically correct. >> yeah, that's how we do things. >> the republican race for president, speaking of donald trump. he and jeb bush are trading political jabs yet again to combat illegal immigration here's what trump said a few hours ago while in iowa. >> the word immigration and illegal immigration, you wouldn't be asking this question if it weren't for me, when i came out and when i announced, i'm the one that started this whole thing. i took a lot of flak the first
10:07 pm
two weeks. now everyone is apologizing to me. jeb bush doesn't have a clue, doesn't have a clue. if i weren't in this campaign, jeb bush would not be talking about illegal immigration. if you remember, he said they come as an act of love. tell that to the families and there are many, many families, who lost a loved one. act of love. this is no act of love. it's tough stuff. it's mean stuff. and it's going to be taken care of. you know, a lot of the gangs you see if baltimore and in st. louis and ferguson and chicago you know they're illegal immigrants. they're here illegally. they're rough dudes, rough people. they're going to be gone so fast if i win that your head will spin. they will be gone so fast. >> and just yesterday, jeb bush took a shot at trump's plan to combat illegal immigration. take a look at there. >> the simple fact is that his proposal is unrealistic. it will cost hundreds of billions of dollars.
10:08 pm
it will violate people's civil liberties. it will create friction with our third largest trading partner that's not necessary. i think is wrong with this. if he was interested in a more comprehensive approach, he might want to read my book. >> all right. here with reaction, we have the executive director for the center for immigration studies, mark kerkorian is with us, an immigration attorney francisco hernandez. you know, mark, i listen to all these pundits, and francisco will probably say the same thing. it's not doable. you can't build a wall. you can't possibly tell people that enter the country illegally, didn't respect our laws and sovereignty to go. but the american people seem according to polls they love trump's proposal. >> yeah, that's what mexico does. >> i mean, i think part of the reason that trump, even though his proposal is a mixed bag in some ways, the reason it's resonating is that he's saying, look, we can get this done and here's what we're going to do. some of his proposals i think
10:09 pm
don't make sense. we just don't need a wall for 2,000 miles on the border. places we do need it, other places we don't. what's happened for years and years. >> i would bailed wall for the entire 2,000 miles. i know what people say, that there's other things we could use, and i've been down there 12 times. in my opinion, build a wall. and build a double wall. >> okay. build a wall. let's start with legalizing 100,000 mexicans to build it. how you going to build it? you can't afford it. >> we have built hundreds of miles of fence, hundreds of miles of fencing already. some of it is pretty good. wait a second. it actually has done significant amount of good when combined with more border patrol agents. we have camera towers, sensors, it's actually the border i'm not saying the border is fixed, but it's not the joke that it used to be precisely because we haven't spent a lot of money on it. >> hang on, first, it is a mess.
10:10 pm
i want to go to francisco, though. i have a question. who are you going get to build it? are you insinuating that americans are lazy? 93 million out of the labor force, 50 million in poverty. are you insinuating we can't get enough americans willing to do the work? i don't buy that. >> mr. hannity, i'm not even going to insinuate. you will not get enough u.s. citizens to sign. it will not happen. it doesn't happen. >> you are saying americans are lazy, i don't believe that. no, no, no. you are putting words. i'm telling you exactly what donald trump says. keep it simple, make your point and get out. donald trump i think he's in there to actually implode the republican party bus he has no beef behind his ideas. that's the thing. give him a microphone. >> i am asking you. you said 93,000 americans in the labor force, we can't get enough americans to build a border fence. that insinuates americans are lazy. >> that's no what i said. >> let me finish.
10:11 pm
a lot of jobs have been lost by americans because of illegal immigration, which is also increased the competitive nature, which has driven down salaries. it's simple economics. >> so, it's economics. you are right. i agree, 100%. >> all right. we're done. thank you. >> if the jobs aren't here, they're not going to come. if americans take those jobs -- >> the construction work is a job that americans won't do. >> we've got to move on. thank you both. we'll have more on the republican candidates' immigration plans. who is resonating best with voters. plus, democrats take a page out of their wornout playbook. they are going to expose this to attack governor scott walker. >> at the same time really tightening the noose literally around the -- around african americans. >> pretty despicable. tightening the noose. we'll check with juan wells and daneen borrelli.

>> frank, i just read this in the new jersey star ledger. you said about donald trump that you have never seen anything like it in your life. on the night of the debate, you were really wrong about how he did in that debate in terms of how the people perceive him. why the big turnaround? why do you say this is not like ross perot, that this is real. you've never seen numbers like this in all the years you have done this. what did you find out? >> sean, it's no different than what you and others had to say in 2012 when you thought that mitt romney was going to defeat barack obama. >> after the third debate, i had my doubts. but that's a different issue. the third debate was a disaster. >> well, but it's a part of this is, look, i'm not a referee, i'm a researcher. my job is to explain what i'm getting at the time. the danger in this is, if you speak in favor of donald trump, they'll claim you are in the tank for him. if you speak against him and say
10:17 pm
you didn't do well, they will set him up in the establishment. let me be clear about this. what trump has done over the last three weeks is that he has taken his media appearances, taken that language of political correctness and used it as a weapon to challenge those who are opposed to him. you have 25 up to 30% of the republican vote and some democrats who are just fed up with the way washington works, fed up with wall street, fed up with the media. fed up with elites and that's why he's doing so well right now. >> you said in this new jersey star ledger, the commission poll of yours, that he is virtually invulnerable to any attack by any 2016 candidate and it is totally conceivable trump will become the republican party's nominee for president. what changed so dramatic ally? >> he has been able to monopolize, even a conversation like this. there are hundreds of thousand, if not millions of trump voters that will watch this interview right now, either in this area
10:18 pm
or the one that comes on later and they will say, sean, they're tired of politicians who speak in sound bites. they're tired of all these focus group slogans. they want someone that says what they mean, means what they say. now look. there are weaknesses to trump too. veterans still have concerns over what he said a month ago about john mccain. women still have some concern about the language that he uses. but overall, there has been genuine movement towards trump and it's because of his persona, not his policies. it's who he is and how he talks. >> you said for the first time that he got 100, a perfect score? >> when he was talking about how badly our veterans are treated in america, and i'm glad you raised that when he talked about the fact that the v.a. still hasn't been fixed, our republican voters thought that was perfection because they believe that our veterans should be supported. >> wow. >> that's what is going on right
10:19 pm
now. i've never seen 100. i will get you those clips. you'll be able to show your viewers. >> all right. lisa? >> sean i think we're saying illegal immigration is front and center in the 2016 election. that obviously clear here. i think voters are angry right now. they're angry about president obama's executive action on immigration. they're angry about the border surge last summer. what they see is lawlessness and that's from president obama. i believe that's what donald trump has so successfully picked up on is this anger in the country and the anger towards the lawlessness. i also think what frank picked up, which is true, we are seeing this larger anti-establishment movement right now. we see it on the right with donald trump and on the left with bernie sanders. >> lisa, i'm a conservative, and i'm disgusted with republicans. they promised in 2014 they would stop illegal unconstitutional executive amnesty. they fund it. they still haven't repealed obamacare. i'm one of those conservatives. >> sean, i think you are right about that.
10:20 pm
i think that's what is going on here as well. look, i think a lot of the people that are supporting donald trump, it's not just his policies. it's not just a cult of personality. >> all right. >> what it, it's really just saying i'm sick and tired of you, republican party. i'm sick and tired of you, president obama, and it's bucking the establishment. >> by the way, ted cruz concern, he's standing up to the establishment. scott walker did it in wisconsin. leslie, i have a different question for you. clearly, barack obama gave the wink and the nod to crazy uncle joe to get into the race, and he is sticking it to the clintons. i got, that does not bode well for your coronation. what are you going to do? >> well, first of all, you know, yesterday, there were a lot of people on wall street who sold despite the fact that everybody on wall street said, hold on and look what happened today. and i would say the same thing with regards to hillary. >> it went down again today. >> republicans want to make the e-mail and the server a swift boat, and this is not going to
