we'll see you tomorrow night "on the record." the o'reilly factor is on. tonight: >> we are seeing tourism. we want the people to come here to say that. [gunshots] screams] >> another horrifying crime captured on live tv. a television reporter and cameraman murdered by a former reporter at a virginia station. we will have the inside story and a viewer warning. it is just awful. >> sit down. sit down. you weren't called. sit down. go ahead. >> i have the right to ask a question. >> no, you don't. you haven't been called. >> i have a right to ask the question. >> go back to univision. >> donald trump and univision jorge rams go at it in iowa.
5:01 pm
there is more to this story than being reported. we will tell you the truth of the matter. also ahead tonight, laura ingraham on why bowe bergdahl's attorney is not in love with the factor and dennis miller on joe biden possibly running for president. caution, you are about to enter the no spin zone. the factor begins right now. ♪ ♪ hi, i'm bill o'reilly, thanks for watching us tonight. donald trump vs. who jorge ramos. that is the subject of this evening's talking points memo. yesterday jorge ramos disrupted a press conference held by donald trump. the the media has not, has not reported this story honestly but talking points will this evening. it all began when mr. ramos jumped the line and began asking mr. trump about his immigration policy when he had not been called upon.
5:02 pm
trump had ramos removed. correctly saying that he had no right to ask his questions without being recognized. it is every political candidate's right to regulate q and a sessions and if they don't chaos will ensue. that's what happened with mr. ramos. that being said, if trump was avoiding ramos, the anchorman does have a right to ambush him, to try to get some answers to his questions. but that is a last resort. donald trump is suing univision over it dropping his miss universe pageant so obviously he is not a fan. however, ramos was admitted to the press conference. now, i believe jorge, had he been more patient, would have gotten his answers from trump because donald does not usually avoid confrontation as we all know. it looked like mr. ramos grandstanded the situation, hoping to generate publicity for himself. that's what it looked like. again, he should have waited
5:03 pm
his turn. a few minutes after he. few minutes he brought him back. >> somebody on the other side of the border, a woman is getting ready to have a baby. crosses the border one day. has the baby, all of a sudden for the next 80 years, hopefully longer, but for the next 80 years we have to take care of the baby. >> deporting babies. >> excuse me, some of the greatest legal scholars and i know some the television scholars agree with you but some of the great legal scholars agree that that's not true. that if you come across. >> excuse me deporting babies. >> no, i am answering. if you come across for one day, one day, and you have a baby, now the baby is going to be an american citizen. it's going to be tested. okay? >> so the question is how are you going to build on 1900 miles wall? >> >> very easy, i'm a builder. that's easy. i build buildings that are. -- can can i tell you what's more complicated?
5:04 pm
what's more complicated is building a building that's 90 stories tall. >> isn't it a waste of time and money. >> by saying the border wall is a waste of time and money as mr. ramos did at the end of that sound bite, he is editorializing. not simply probing for answers. that's the key. jorge ramos has now become an advocate for people who enter the u.s.a. illegally. and that has superseded his job as a journalist. he is a man who wants amnesty for illegal aliens and not only that he doesn't really want to stop illegal border crossings. a case can be made that mr. ramos is an open-border guy, certainly a far left position. so let me ask you a question. what's the difference between jorge ramos on immigration and black lives matter on race? what's the difference? both are advocating policies from a distinct political point of view. now, that's allowed in america. howhowever, when an anchorman
5:05 pm
does it, that becomes a problem. we have been trying to get jorge ramos on this program for months, especially after the kate steinle murder in san francisco allegedly by an illegal alien felon who been deported five times. mr. ramos would not speak to me about that. he hid under his desk. isn't it interesting that when events like kate steinle's murder occur can, the pro-illegal alien crowd disappears or deflects the security issue. i have a very simple question for you, who jorge, do you support kate's law? you can email me the answer since you won't appear on the factor. after the trump deal last night, we asked mr. ramos to, again, appear. no luck. now, donald trump usually takes tough questions as you have seen here over the past few months. you may disagree with his position on illegal
5:06 pm
immigration and talking points has challenged it. but when you have a guy like ramos who disappears after the steinle murder, and a guy like trump who stands up, that's a pretty stark comparison, is it not? think about it. jorge ramos is the most influential hispanic anchorman in the u.s.a. and mr. ramos is an amnesty guy. so how could he possibly report the immigration issue fairly? how? the answer is he can't. it's not possible. jorge ramos went to iowa to try to debate and embarrass donald trump not to get answers for his audience. if mr. ramos wants to be a commentator like me, that's fine. if univision and fusion are putting the man up as an objective purveyor of news coverage, that's fraud. so let's recap. trump was right to control his press conference. ramos has a right to ask his questions if they will not be considered. he has the option of ambushing any candidate.
5:07 pm
however, that should be a last resort. talking points believes ramos has become a zealot. advocating far left positions that most americans reject. to be fair, trump is advocating a hard right position on immigration and specifics are hard to get from him. but he does show up to address the questions. those who despise trump are trying to use the ramos i want as another example of his immaturity and hostility with those whom he disagrees. but if you step back, if you step back and look at it objectively, who is really being upfront with the american people? an anchorman who has become a political activist or a candidate who states his case and takes the heat? you make the call. and that's the memo. next on the rundown, reaction, then a brutal murder on live tv in virginia. we have the inside story on why a reporter and a cameraman were shot dead this morning. the factor is coming right back.

5:50 pm
>> all i see is he's a bully, this is trump. he's that, he's that. >> over at the competing cable morning show. >> oh okay. they're not that liberal >> they were pretty fair looking at it. >> they'll surprise you once in a while. now the hispanic american vote will not go to donald trump, i don't believe, even though he says it will, it won't. then the republican party is nervous that that will translate to if somebody else is in nominee. do you see any danger there? >> i don't know how the vote is going to turn out for latinos. but i do know we have millions of people who stayed home last time and feel like both parties, kind f agree, you pointed this out, on a lot of issues. and they don't feel like anyone is championing the law enforcement, law and order, midding class wages, having better trade deals with china. and they finally hear this guy
5:51 pm
who is rough and tumble. i had him on my radio show today and said the late night tweets aren't helpful. he's backed off from that. i think they like the fact that someone is there to mix it up. >> there's no doubt about that. >> he's ready to get it done. i don't know what's going to happen but they feel like they have a champion and i think some of the other candidates need to step up their game a little bit. i think he's going to make them better candidates in the end. >> we'll see at the middle of september when the cnn debate comes up. the candidates are going to have to throw off the monotonous rehearsed answers. now on september 17th, the day after the debate, beau bergdahl will have the first serious hearing in his unending trial. it just never gets anywhere because the government doesn't want this man on display. it with us a bad deal to bring him back for five taliban
5:52 pm
captives. but bergdahl's lawyer is really mad at fox. >> i think's very unfortunate that fox news has an opportunity to use this case in an effort to stir up the base, use this case in an effort to vilify my client who everybody knows has gone through a terrible five-year long captivity among the blood thirsty and ruthless taliban. and used this case as a lever to bludgeon president obama. >> now we tried to get counselor fidel on the factor but i think he's dining with jorge ramos. >> that's a shock. >> he's right. everybody knows the taliban probably worked over beau bergdahl but whose fault is that? it's beau bergdahl's fault.
5:53 pm
this is an embarrassment. i think it's a cry for help. he has a really lame defense. we have a number of bergdahl's unit mates who came out and said man, he deserted us. and corder as you remember, had three of the names of their fellow soldiers who died -- >> searching for bergdahl, right. >> looking for bergdahl. i don't think they're going to get a lot of sympathy. >> he'll guilty and he'll be found guilty but they're not going to do much to him. be found guilty and they'll give him a dishonorable discharge or whatever. thank you very much as always. laura has a brand-new website project called life zett. might want to check that out. factor tip of the day, patience paying off in my life. the tip moments away. seems liked block.
