point to the poll as more evidence of momentum on the campaign trail. >> the poll i say said massive enthusiasm for message we're delivering. the vast majority of people that are voting for me in the iowa are not necessarily anti-hillary clinton, they're pro bernie sanders. >> elizabeth is now live in washington. did he take jab at the front run senator. >> really not at all. the senator stayed away from directly throwing punches. we saw him tackle topics that appeal to general members. the collapse of the american middle class, income inequality. he went broader tackling foreign policy, sounding more presidential saying the the u.s. should have the strongest military in the world and be prepared to act when it or allies are threatened.

called the peak. it was dubbed mount mckinley in 1800s as tribute to the president. the renaming process was 1975 by state leaders to honor the cultural past of natives. the can delegation of ohio where mckinley was born blocked the effort. the suspect in the case is getting ready to make first court appearance tomorrow. police say the suspect shannon miles has a criminal history including convictions fornectdug arrest. hundreds of people attended a vigil at the gas station where the deputy died while fuelling his patrol car. investigators say it appears the deputy was targeted simply

because he was a law enforcement officer. when will miles appear before the judge? >> it will be some point tomorrow. it's according to paperwork released by the harris county sheriff's office. 30-year-old shannon miles scheduled to appear here in federal court 208 in downtown houston. his name has not appeared on the official documekedocket. we don't have a time. it has not been updated. the sheriff says goforth had no previous confrontation with the suspect. the flag has been lowered to half staff in honor of this deputy. >> that gives us some idea.

what's the community reaction to this murder? >> absolutely reeling from this ambush style attack. the gas station where the shooting happened has become a makeshift memorial. more than 800 people from the community, folks from the general public, sisters and brothers of law enforcement showed up there last night to pay respects. another service planned for tonight. they've been placing balloons, cars, stuffed animals, signs at the pump where the deputy was gunned do you think. those who knew him said help wasn't your average law enforcement type. >> we'd be staying home alone, and he'd check on us when out of town. make sure our house was okay. >> tragic this happened. he was a good guy, really good officer. i know there's people in the world that think all cops are bad. it's not true. there's always bad app les in te

ask congress to return from recess. they must vote by september 17th. according to the president, it will be the most important vote on foreign policy since invasion of iraq. >> thank you kristin. >> day of tears and prayers in western virginia as hundreds filled the auditorium to remember two journalists shot and killed on live television. a service to remember 24-year-old alison parker and 27-year-old adam ward. they were shot and killed by a former co worker that shot and took his own life. three firefighters killed while fighting the blaze at washington state were laid to rest today. the procession of 80 fire and emergency vehicles traveled through the area before the service. people lined the streets to pay respects. a woman held a sign reading you are heroes. these three young men died when

threatening to dump rain on the southeast. downpours are possible well into the workweek. hurricane erika is blamed for 25 deaths and widespread damage in the caribbean. we are not expecting this in the states. forecasters warn the danger is very real. meteorologist janice deen is live in the fox news weather center. how bad could things get? >> record rainfall across florida in the past few weeks. dealing with tropical moisture in the already saturated ground. this was erika. good news it's not a hurricane, tropical storm or depression. all that moisture is streaming into florida and southeast where we could easily get three to five inches. going to be wet as we start the brand new workweek. there's your future radar. monday, tuesday, wednesday at least a chance of rain in this region and of course you mentioned flash flood watches and warnings. three to five inches over

sierra nevada mountains. crews found her alive after nine days. a fascinating survival story. how did they find this woman brian? >> incredible story. she set out with a group to hike 10 days ago, only supposed to be for the afternoon. she got separated from the group. she found herself nine miles out. she heard voices of rescuers nearby. with a whistle, she got their attention and was airlifted. the nine day search effort was tough the. searchers hiked 19 miles to find her through heavy smoke from a wildfire nearby at another national park. >> the california highway patrol was able to to find a way into the area where she was found.

they actually had to find a pathway through the smoke into that area. they were able to land, load her into the helicopter, air lift her to crmc in fresno. >> the terrain is so rough, it took crews a day and a half to get to the search area. >> incredible story of tenacity. how did she manage to survive? >> resourcefulness and bit of good luck. she planned to hike for that afternoon and had minimal supplies and food. she was suffering from several broken bones and immobile, unable to hike towards safety. she found a way to survive. >> she had a water filter with her. she basically crawled from where she was injured down to a creek. took her two days to do that. she was able to drink from the water filter. >> her voice is said to be strong. she's extremely grateful.

a fun night at the ball park ended in tragedy for a baseball fan in atlanta. it happened during a game between the braves and yankees. the fan was reportedly booing rodriguez when he fell from the upper deck to lower level stands. he was identified as gregory murray, 60 years old. the no one else was hurt.

police do not suspect foul play. frightening moments for one surfer when a great white shark took a bite out of her surf board. it happened off california's central coast. the great white swam under her board and chomped it leaving this mark. this wasn't the only sighting this weekend. hi will. how is the surfer doing? >> when you look at her board, you may think she got hurt. she was not injured. we're talking about eleanor dempsey, swimming between los angeles and san francisco when she saw a six foot great white, so called juvenile great white that popped up and took a chunk out of her surf board. when she realized what was happening, she took off and didn't look back. the cancer vooisurvivor made it

some can be dangerous. a man was bitten off coast of san diego earlier this month. this was ten feet long, didn't seem shy. it was a startling experience. one kayaker wasn't surprised to see the shark in the area. >> we got bumped by a hammer head yesterday and today. something brought him that way. they're not going to come in for no reason. if there's bait or someone that brought fish on their boat coming in with it. or if gutting fish here or bleeding out, you'll see that happen. >> some lifeguards in southern california using drones to spot sharks to protect beach goers. there's also apps to track shark movement. >> thanks. also in california, an auto mechanic just arrived to work when he found an unwanted visit, to a mountain lion. it backed off and hid under a

cnn has upcoming debate. they're taking just the top ten candidates in polls as fox did. they're using polls that go back as far as two months before the fox debate. a lot has changed since then. there's been many polls since then. they're saying she's skewed towards earlier polls and burned out of the debate, and that's unfair. what do you think? >> it's a real possibility because cnn has come up with cry ti -- with criteria bizarre beyond belief. polls before july. she's right about something else. the establishment of the party is not going to help her. they're the ones that sanction the debate. they're the ones that tells cnn you got to use more recent polling. fox used the five most mayor recent polls they thought met

people reject this. they believe the president is not telling the truth. they are really upset. meanwhile we have the same game in washington. other content for american people. now we have perhaps the president or white house, we won't have a vote. we'll fill buster this. the most important security agreement in 25 or 30 years and you're not going to have a vote on it. the debate coming in december. the notion of political class we figured this out before. the president's attitude and media's attitude, people go to hell. no we don't have to have votes. we go to u.n. today the iranian president said he wasn't going to submit. he wasn't going to split to his parliament because he may go ahead and implement it. we are not but act like it. it is content and not willing to

have honest debate. >> they'll vote against it in the house and senate. he'll veto that. we will not be able to override the veto. congress will let it happen. obama will implement it, declare victory. it's a bad example of democracy at its worst. >> more tangible example of what we've been talking about. two thirds of republicans and democrats do not want done here. pat so articulately said in iran too so they don't have to be guided by the rule of law as we apparently are not guided by the rule of law or will of the people. it's very scary patti ask and speaks ill of our democracy.
