welcome back. they're the newest generation of freedom fighters taking on isis. a father and his two sons, all three men served in the marines and were eager to make a difference on the war on terror so, they hopped on a plane to middle east to help. and here is an iraq war vet to founded humanitarian experience abroad. and he joins me live from southern kurd stan via skype this morning. nice to see you and thank you for joining us. what why did you decide to join this fight? >> well, thank you for having me. i think the reason why most of us decide to join was of course to help the kurds and to beat back isis or dash. but in addition, i'm combat vet, i served in 2003 in iraq. and a lot of us have a tendency

to keep in the fight and help out. >> and that's one thing but to pack up, go to the front lines and try to help the peshmerga in this region who don't have a lot of support like they used to have when the united states army and military was there, what are they facing against isis? >> they're facing a problem that could easily be solved with more help from this administration and future administrations. they're like a little israel. they could be our best friend but they need night vision, they need to be able to match them toe for toe at night and during the day. they need specialists. >> one of the things that you've talked about is that you might feel there's a disconnect from americans at home think this might not effect us anymore. its

they say two 16 year olds tried to break in twice and that's when they tried to front door, which was unlocked and the 11-year-old opened fire with his mother's gun, killing one of the teenagers. >> just makes you think where they learn it from or where is the -- basically, where is the parent? >> it seems that anybody at this point can pull a trigger on a weapon and it's very scary. >> the boy's mother said she bought the gun because of other break in attempts. and they want to know why they were alone with such easy access to the gun. so far, nobody has been charged. and the son of the clerk also refusing to issue marriage license licenses. her son won't face fines or jail

welcome back. in the south, football is like a religion but just don't bring actual religion on to the field. that scares the authorities. case and point, a georgia high school football team is afire after a baptism went viral. a atheist group says we request that the district immediately investigate and take action to insure no more religious events take place. they say they have the right to practice their religion as they

want to and no one was forced. kevin williams, a senior pasture who performed the baptisms. welcome to you both. so, kevin, how did this happen? >> it really goes back to the summer. there was an fca camp that the football team wanted to go to and men in the community and our church, we sponsored those kids to go to the camp and there were 63 kids that ended up going and out of those, there were about 600 kids at the camp and derrick moo moore, the chaplain georgia tech was the and 23 kids gave their lives to christ at that camp and 13 of those 23 got bapti at our church on a sunday morning and then we had a special day where we invite football players, cheerleaders, band,

everybody. it's all voluntary. they come if they want to. and at that service, moore, was our speaker, the chaplain, and at the end of the service, we gave an invitation for people to give their lives to christ and we literally had 50 people come forward and out of that 50, one of them was a high school football coach and actually our defensive coordinator. and he requested later on that evening or the next morning, he requested to be baptized on the field, if it was possible and so we look under to it and thought, well, we have to make sure we follow the rules, it can't be during school or any activity because that's what the rules state. so, we went in between that. there was no school, school was out and it was completely voluntary. nobodies to the come. >> this is not a school event. this is something that that kids

wanted. so, you're son is on this team. do you feel like this is the worst thing that's ever happened? do you feel like the school is pushing christianity on your child? >> absolutely not. i've been telling everybody, we made the news, the national news now because of a mass baptism and i've seen a lot of headlines, a whole lot worse across the nation. i've seen this event bring our children together in a way no other event could, to be honest with you. >> and how offended some people have. the school district has said they will look into it and take appropriate action. are you concerned that action will be taken? >> no. this was completely on the

anymore but thank you. there was the number and picture. after they left new orleans, they went to tennessee in a shelter. the local paper happened to take a picture of them. he sent the picture side by side of them in the shelter and her and i in new orleans. i was like that's the little girl. i texted him. it was kind of weird. i'm like hi, i'm mike. i'm in the air force and been looking for you ten years. they were like yes. so i said can i call you? i called and talked to her mom. she filled in blanks what happened before and after i picked them up. it's been pretty good. words are failing me. >> that is really cool. take us back ten years ago. how did you meet for the first time? what were the circumstances? >> september 6 th. new orleans had been under water. they had been without water or food seven days.

when waters receded enough for them to get out of the house, walked out to the street. i lowered down, picked them up, took them to louis armstrong international. that's where she gave me the hug. >> you helped save more people than just the beautiful girl with the million dollar smile and your million dollar smile next to you. why was the search important to you? >> i just got back from afghanistan. wor worst deployment up to that time. it was a good kick in the gut at that point. seeing the americans and everybody in pain and suffering. it was hard 14 hour days just seeing all that. when she gave me that hug, it was exactly what i needed at that moment.

i needed something to say it's okay, it's all right. you're fine. when she gave me that hug, you know, i was transported off the planet. nothing was bothering me at that moment. it gave me enough fuel to keep going. >> i was there that day. have you been back to new orleans sense? >> no, i haven't. i hope to get back soon. i've been worried to see it in disray and not many repair. i've avoided it. i'm ready to go back. >> she's 13 years old and doesn't remember this day and taking this picture. she was happy to find out you were looking for her. when you meet in person, what are you going to do and say? >> give her and her mom a big hug and explain how her small gesture was huge to me and america. i think it helped a lot of people. we got a lot of racial problems going on, but as you can see, don't have to be.
