to funding an ongoing criminal enterprise and i'll tell you, the facts that republican leadership in both houses has begun this discussion by preemptively surrendering to barak obama and saying we'll give in because obamaned to veto. you know, obama's committed his principles, his liberal principles. he will fight for them. he says i will veto any budget that doesn't fund planned parenthood and republicans surrender. we need to stop surrendering and start standing for principles. >> the stakes got higher now that the house voted to defund planned parenthood despite a veto promise from president obama. but is risking the government shutdown over planned parenthood good politics? joining us now from washington, d.c., sandy rios, pro-life radio talk show host and adam goodman, republican strategist. so if you were advising a republican presidential candidate, would you tell them to support a government shutdown
2:02 pm
over planned parenthood funding? >> well, i tell you, this should bother everybodyla right now tht public outcry over the practicet of planned parenthood has turned into a potential calamity of a government shutdown and rift within the republican party being refereed by nancy pelosi and the democrats. leave it to washington to come to that. what is really worrisome to all of us in terms of its impact on the presidential campaign to your question is that we're seeing another example of how an act of conscience is being punished instead of rewarded. >> but would you risk a government -- we know the republican brand got hurt badly the last time they went through with the shutdown of theit government. everyone blamed the republicans. would you advise republicans to go that far to shut the government down over the $530 million? >> i would not. the reason for thatt is simple. this will -- this whole thing will be turned into an argument not over the practices of planned parenthood, but over tht
2:03 pm
merits of shutting down government and everything that comes with is a trojan horse that the republicans are marching into this political campaign that deceives people from the real issue at hand, which the real attack on human life that we saw in these tapes that carly fiorina and others have certainly commented on and very passionately. >> sandy, would you advise, are you in favor of shutting down the government completely over this $500 million to planned parenthood? >> i think that's the wrongut question. i think this is part of the problem. the debate is this: would the president be willing to not fund a bill that would fund the government if it doesn't pay for what seems like is the largest abortion provider in the nation who likely is taking lives just born babies and cutting them apart to sell their organs? this is a fox news alert. police in phoenix holding a briefing, investigation into the string of highway shootings in

arizona. let's listen to the arizona media relations. >> arizona department of public safety detectives and members of our swat team made that arrest. as was stated last night, we have information, the weapon used in this case during the last weekend of august is forensically linked to these crimes, copy cats are possible, that's why we will continue to investigate. i'll go into more of that later. what i'm about to say is information coming from our investigators. the chronology leading up to the arrest includes the work of our detectives, reviewing a list of pawn shops that purchased or loaned money from any firearms matching the make and caliber that were identified by the dps crime lab. dps detectives collected the firearms that matched the search, selective research was then conducted on the suspect, leslie merritt, junior, who pawned one of the firearms
2:05 pm
collected. the crime lab test fired the firearm pawned by we believe mr. merritt. the test fired bullets were a match to bullet fragments from four casings over the last weekend in august. that should be four cases over the last weekend in august. we have evidence that does justify that leslie alan merritt, junior is the prime suspect in at least four of these incidents. there was no independent tip that substantiated information leading to this arrest. this was a result of exhaustive police work. however, the $50,000 reward is still available as we investigate and try to close out all the related incidents that have occurred these past few weeks. that is why the overhead freeway signs will continue to advertise the tip line, 602-644-5805. we're still interested in any additional information leading to the arrest of any suspect in

those two other scenarios that have been mentioned by director millstead and myself. the road rage incident over labor day weekend is one of those scenarios and the projectiles that were fired following that particular incident. throughout this very long investigation, the combined efforts of our federal and local law enforcement partners made a difference. today we are seeing the end results of some incredible police work as detectives from not just our agency, but phoenix police, tempe police and other federal and valley police agencies worked tirelessly 24 hours a day, seven days a week to bring this case to a close. in fact, we still have today the atf and f.b.i. helping us as we continue to analyze evidence regarding this case. it is important to note for the news media and for the public the incredible assistance given to us by the state crime lab. this was essential in the hours

leading up to the arrest last night. arizonans are lucky to benefit from the excellent professional working relationship between federal and local law enforcement agencies that exist in this state. this case now is in the justice system. we will be working with the county attorney's office and will assist as this case runs its course. >> the initial -- >> public safety media relations manager, bart graves, discussing the case involving leslie alan merritt, 21. arraigned on multiple charges, four counts each of carrying a firearm. they tested it, ran it through a number of testing with the crime lab. they went through pawn shops to actually locate the firearm and as a result of that, they made their arrest. they are also keeping available a $50,000 reward leading to the arrest of people or possible suspects in other possible cases related to the road rage, as well as the shootings that have been taking place along the

is what we're saying.n i interviewed caved brock, associated with that group the other day and asked him what, are youid saying about bernie sanders? what's your point? he wouldn't say. >> joining us now from durham, new hampshire, ed henry, who is covering the clinton campaign for fox. so ed, hillary, are they saying anything about the bernie sanders-hugo chavez comparison oror blaming that on barak? >> no, they're ducking it from the campaign. i think weighs really going on is that this leadership pac on the outside with operatives like david brock, they're trying to do the hard hitting attacks on bernie sanders and by the way, joea biden as well. the vice president who may get into this race, there are signs just in the last 24 hours, overheard him on his cell phone saying he's 100% in. this will happen. and nobody is really denying that that was said. so there are signs biden will get in. and you have hillary clinton's campaign itself saying, oh, we're giving him time to grieve. i'm sure it will change the race
2:13 pm
if he gets in. but people on the outside in private rooms are doing the attacking. john pedesta in a super pac meeting for the clinton team, saying if he gets in, he's not going to win. he's not really the new flavor. so they want to do the attacks behind closed doors and in public say oh, berry is a nice guy. we don'tos have any quarrel with him 'cause they're trying to look like they're staying positive. >> are they going to turn negative, the campaign itself any time soon? if so, just bernie sanders or biden as well? >> reporter: they can't go much longer and allow this momentum, this surge from bernie sanders. here on the ground in new hampshire, i can tell you i've been seeing all kinds of thingsg i was at a town hall meeting with hillary clinton last night and she had empty seats. this is the fronts runner, the former secretary of state, first lady. meanwhile, today here at the university of new hampshire, hillary clinton was making a bi deal. we've got so much enthusiasm, we've got an overflowed crowd. weig asked the fire chief, 350
2:14 pm
people. it looked big and wasd sort of crowded because it was a small room here on campus. i checked with bernie sanders campaign, he's coming to this very campus this weekend. apples to apples comparison, he already has 1300 rsvps. three, four, five times as many people as hillary clinton is getting on the ground in new hampshire. that's why the last six polls here, major polls in new hampshire have bernie sanders -- >> the clintons never had a problem firing people, letting people go. howrs long before heads start to roll in the clinton campaign? >> it's very interesting. the tea leaves we're getting, this "washington post" piece a couple days ago saying they realize they have a problem inside the clinton camp, butem it's status quo. they think their original plan will work. look, this plan has not worked for the last four to six months. so they're probable egoing to have to do something much more drastic in the days ahead,g whether that's a house cleaning, whether that's a candidate herself because people are going to blame the advisors.
2:15 pm
-- >> then again, how about the last one? hey, this time we're going to inject heart and humor telling her to inject heart and humor. that's ridiculous. >> reporter: we havee a plan to be spontaneous. >> yeah. >> reporter: that's basically what they said. and when you plan to be spontaneous, it doesn't necessarily come across as authentic. let me say something positive about hillary clinton, which is in that abc news interview some days back with david muir she works took some shots on the e-mail deal. but when it was pressed about what she's fighting for, she got into the middle class. she started crying, talking about her mom. there aree going to be people questioning authenticity. but if you watched what she did, that was her trying to show her real self. showing some heart. showing some emotion. frankly, on the campaign trail, we're not seeing a whole lot of that. she's got toca find a way to sof of unpack some of the things that's keeping some separation here between her and actual voters. bernie sanders is breaking through on the left. donald trumppa breaking throughn the right. hillary clinton may besa is the

what i have done and i'm very proud of it. you can read my book "hard choices." read how i negotiated a cease fire. how i put together the coalition that led to international sanctions against iran. you can reada about what i did when i was first lady, that gets the children's health insurance program or a senator workingc across the aisle on issues like getting better health care forla our veterans. >> so you got to go to the library to find the answer. joining us now with reaction from washington, d.c., simon rosenberg, democratic strategist and from las vegas, rick great nell, a former u.s. spokesman at the united nations., we're going to start with you. there are obviously a lot of big problems going on overseas. hillary clinton's tenure as barak obama's top diplomat end up hurting her on the campaign trail. >> i think it will hurt her because what we just saw, she can't list her accomplishments. it's really terrible when you look at her advisors, whether they were with her as former
2:21 pm
first lady, as a senator, as a secretary of state. it's the same group of advisors. they're all political advisors. she didn't hire any subject matter experts. it's no wonder she didn't -- she wasn't able to successfully push any issue around the country, around the world on a foreign policy issue. she has no place in the world where she can say we are better off after i left. you look at whatever country you can come up with. and i will show you how it's worse off now that hillary hada her four-year tenure and made it just atrocious. >> what about it? he makes good point. the putin reset button and how is russia? how is our relationship with russia? how about the middle east? every country seems to be either in flames or on the verge of flames. >> i think it's unfair to say she didn't do anything. she listed two things in that interview and also negotiated --
2:22 pm
>> hold on,flam simon. i'll let you list one if you want, or two. i know it's kind of a gotcha question. israel?ed hamas and really? that's your accomplishment, that negotiated with terrorists? it doesn't seem like it's game over there yet. >> every secretary of state negotiated withis israel. >> -- boy, if that's an accomplishment, what's a>> failure? >> i know that we're not going to agree onn this one. i know that we're not going to find common ground on whether the things she did was positive. but there are many things she did. russia has fewer nuclear weapons today because of hillary clinton.re china came to the table and committed to reduce the biggest polluter in the world, committed to reduce their carbon emissions. she negotiated a cease fire. hamas stopped bombing, putting rockets into israel. these are actual real accomplishments. they may not be everything that you -- >> hamas, as you're aware, is a
2:23 pm
terror organization. >> she stopped the rockets coming into israel. she promoted the ire dome. >> it's still going on. >> hamas is done with terror. is that what you're trying to tell me? >> no. i didn't say that. >> rick, go ahead. >> let's also bring up the one point where she said that an accomplishment was iran. okay? so now she's totally owning this iran deal. but the facts will show that the first 18 months of her tenure, she didn't do anything onir sanctions. as a matter of fact, she and president obama put in oil waivers for south korea, japan, china, india, a whole bunch ofer countries. they were trying to move the sanctions down.of she cannot claim and reporters need to fact check this. she can not claim that she ratcheted up the pressure on iran. for 18 months, she did nothing and when they finally got around to it, it was a weaker deal than the u.n. deal. so bring it on, hillary. if you want to talk about the iran deal as one of the things
2:24 pm
that you did that's successful, i think president obama's iran deal, john kerry, the hillary clinton now, she's taking credit for the iran deal, that will go down in history as the worst possible deal that we could have had out of the state department. >> simon, what's better? what region is better now than when she -- before she arrived? >> i think our relations in latin america are far better than they werebe when the obama administration came to office. i think that our standing in the world -- i know we've disputed this -- >> they may be better, because we're letting them come over our border freely. >> no, no. that's not true. i think what happened with cuba was a master -- >> she had nothing to do with cuba. nothing do with cuba. >> youwith asked about what the obama administration has done and where we are better off today. >> i asked how are we better off since hillary clinton's tenure as secretary of state, what arer the accomplishments? i'm still waiting for some. >> i tried to list, but you cut
2:25 pm
me off. i want to dispute something said about iran. she led the coalition that put on the toughest sanctions in iran in history. >> she did one round of sanctions, simon. she did one round of things. >> i understand. >> she did one and she didn't do anything for 18 months. >> it brought iran to the table which allowed us to negotiate this deal.s >> iran was at the table. >> simon --he >> probably in our lifetimes, she's touting it as an accomplishment and so are you? >> yeah, absolutely. and i'm proud of what the president has done on this iran deal and i want to say the contrast between what we've done and what carly fiorina says if she was -- >> we're not talking about carly right now. >> no, no. this matters 'cause carly is the one who brought this up. she's the one who began this conversation. >> no, every single presidential candidate brought thishe up. >> i got to go. but simon --
2:26 pm
>> evaded sanctions and sold high-tech to iran. she's got -- >> actually, i need to correct that record. >> we need to go. we're going to go to break. and i'll leave your mics open. >> thank you very much. ass thismore aheadad factor special moves ahead. is the media ganging up on donald trump??sp and the carly fiorina phenomenon. we'll hope you stay tuned for those reports.

in the unresolved problem segment, is the media lying in wait to get donald trump and manufacture controversy? this week at a campaign rally in new in hampshire, donald trump s asked this question. >> we have a problem in this country called muslims. we know our current president is one. you know he's not even an american. but anyway, we have training camps brewing where they want to kill us. that's my question. when can we get rid of him? >> we'll be looking at a lot of -- a lot of people are saying that ask a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening out there. we're going to be looking at that and plenty ofad other thin. >> the trump campaign says donald didn't hear the part where obama was incorrectly called a muslim and there is even speculation that the question was a plant. the latest example of a
2:31 pm
political dirty trick. still thert media is going wild with the story and it's dominate ing cable news.in joining us with reaction is news director and washington, d.c. david avella. scotty, does the media have it in for trump? >> no. i this i it's the exact opposite. why would they have it in forri trump? he's produced the best ratings yet. definitely more than we've seen for any other presidentialha campaign. why would they have it in for him? i think it's the politicians that are adding the spice and trying to encourage this and make this more of a story than what it really is. >> okay. david, what about that? the media brought it up and at least four or five potential candidates have said trump was wrong for not stopping that town hall questioner. frankly, there are so many things going on in the country right now, if we're worried about whether or not donald trump heard or misheard a
2:32 pm
questioner, are we wasting our time? >> welcome to the big leagues, mr. trump. you're running for president, you need to speak with clarity and rally your people around the ideas of how you're going toak lead the country. and he didn't do either yesterday. if you think about his comment, which is we'll look into that, what's he talking about? is -- >> david, is that the biggest issue right now? we're worried about how he responded to a guy who frankly sounded like an actor reading a script. >> eric, if his answer to the question was we're going to look into radical islam, that is a major issue facing our country and one that mr. trump showed he wasn't quite ready to handle in the debate. carly fiorina didn't have a problem with it. marco rubio didn't have aa problem with it. so if we're just going to look into what the problem is witho radical islam, that's not what voters are looking for in their next president. they want someone who is ready to act definitively. >> why didn't donald trump do
2:33 pm
what he's done so many times on the campaign trail so far when there is as question he doesn't want to talk about, he'll say, i don't want to talk about that right now. i'll look into it and talk about it later. it would have been that simple, no? >> it would have been that simple, but here is the thing about trump. he can't win with t anybody. he says something, he gets criticized. he's quiet, he gets criticized. i think the fact that he has enough nerve to stand up and have an open town hall with hundreds of people, thousands of people asking unscreenedav questions shows courage and the his answer was very diplomatic. i mean, that's what you say. you don't sit there and dismiss somebody. you don't belittle people. it didn't work out too well for mccain in 2008, to be honest with you,is when he belittled different groups with his answers. so what hein did was very diplomatic and i think it showed a lot of grace and respect for the people in that room. >> here is what happens, and you know this being on the right. you know that the liberal media wants to talk about anything that takes the spotlight off the bad things that are going on in the obama administration.
2:34 pm
this week we had poverty rate come out, the census put out poverty rate at 15%. that's -- 45 million people living in poverty. isis is killing people. refugees are coming over here. but we're worried about whether or not donald trump heard a question about obama's birth certificate right or not. >> no, you're completely correct. this is the part of it. hillary clinton was one of the first ones to issue the tweet. it's actually the democrats that want to distract from the obama administration. if hillary would not have issued, then you have peopleon like chris christie, kasich, others fall in line behind the democrats, which shows their intentions right now. >> david? >> they're going to do anything they can to take pot shots at him, including being wrong, which they are in this case. >> david? >> look, you can't have it both ways. it's why people need to, when running for president, and it's why first time candidates often struggle, you have to speak with clarity. look, the media is not your press secretary. they're going to -- >> david, do you have to have --
2:35 pm
if this question comes up, here is exactly the way you have to answer it. that's with these campaigns do. that's what these candidates do. they have advisors, as you know, who have every question possible answerd for them. maybe a trump or bernie sanders are doing well 'cause they're not listening to these advisors. >> well, mr. trump has to beos mr. trump. that's why he's the frontrunner in the party right now, because he's willing to say what he believes without filters. that said, you can't be happy about all the coverage you get when you get someone to come on stage and touch your hair to say whether it's real or not. and then get upset when theysa criticize you for not addressing a question that's given to you by someone in the town hall that you set up. you can't have it both ways. >> that's the funny part. you sat there and said he's struggling. he's obviously not because he's number one. >> i said he struggled with one question, scotty. >> his struggle is actually real. allowing himim to bond with the majority of the american
2:36 pm
people. >> david, you're not saying that trumpp invited all these people to come to his town hall. it's town hall. they come and ask theira questions. scotty, i have 30 seconds. was that a plant? >> i can't determine that. h but i'll say this, whether it was ora whether it wasn't, i guarantee youhe mr. trump handld it beautifully and he'll handle diplomatic relations just the same way. better than what we currentsly have n we'll leave it there. thank you very much. directly ahead, carly fiorina received rave reviews for a gop debate performances. but one rival said that was a foregone conclusion. we'll tell you about that. up next as this o'reilley factor special continues. and reduces the risk of them happening again. not only does eliquis treat dvt and pe blood clots,

>> thanks for staying with us for this election 2016 factor special. i'm eric bolling. carly fiorina phenomenon, by many accounts she won the debate a few days ago, but at least one of her rivals since the media is in the tank for her. >> when you walked off the stage, did you have one opinion of what happened and then you listened to the people, the press and then saw the reviews and everything else and have another or did they sync up for you? >> i think going in we knew the narrative no matter what was going to happen was that they
2:41 pm
were going to say carly had a big night to matter what and obviously they said that. >> so does scott walker have a point? joining us from charlottesville, university of virginia politics professor, larry sabato, and matt bizer. i'm not sure the media was in the tank for anyone.m but you have to admit, carly had a very good debate. >> shed had a terrific debate. she won the undercard debate with fox in august. this wasn't a great surprise. i think, frankly, if there is one thing just about everybody hates, it's whining from candidates who didn't do well at a debate. that, i'm sorry to say, is what governor walker is doing. >> so what do you think, matt? honestly, scott walker needed a big debate. didn't really get it. so maybe it is a little bit of sour grapes. >> yeah. it does sound a lot like sour grapes. have a gooda did night objectively.
2:42 pm
she's risen rapidly here and some respects; wasn't supposed to be on the stage under the original rules that cnn had for it. so i think it was a good debate for her and her star is kind of rising and we'll see how long she can keep it. >> do you think there was fair treatment of carly? there was a lot of questions about -- listen, i think she's fantastic. she gets it out there. she's very confident. but there are some questions about her business past. we'll start with matt. >> yeah. and i think that really damagedt her in her 2010 senate race which she lost to senator boxer in california. i think that's where this turns next a little bit is resurrecting some of thoset criticisms about her tenure at hewlett-packard, which we saw a little of during the debate, particularly with her going back and forth with donaldwith trump. i think the average voting doesn't know carly fiorina that well and i think they'llll leara lot more about her as morear scrutiny over her business.
2:43 pm
>> , it strikes me that carly fiorina, on the left, hillary clinton is using the gender politics. carly fiorina seems to want to push it away. is that aenol mistake? >> well, let's see what happens as things unfold. remember, were she to become the nominee, i'm sure that the fact that she was the nominee or even on the ticket would help to neutralize some of that gender factor for the democrats. but let me just interject here, eric, yes, carly fiorina lost that senate race by about ten points in california. 2010. yes, it was a solid republican year. but it was california. it's a deep blue state. my guess is carly fiorina is much better prepared to compete because of what happened in 2010. >> matt, she definitely stepped up her game with 11 people on stage. she did very well cutting in when it was not her turn to talk. and i think maybe some of the other candidates might learn
2:44 pm
from her. >> and she more effectively than anybody elser. went after trump and she said so much and so few words. her remark about her looks went over very well against trump. she sort of put trump on the defensive in a way that other candidates have really struggled to be able to do. >> let me go back to larry. christie, that back and forth between trump and carly was going and it was heated and elevating and a lot of things were coming out. a lot of information was coming out. chris christie stopped them in their tracks and said, this is what we don't want.ac maybe he's wrong. maybe it is what we want. maybe we want to hear what people's pasts are and we don't need the political speech that p candidate does.le that's with those two were doing. pushing away from the typical political debate. >> don't worry, we'll have plenties of time to get intome that. that wasget chris christie's moment, so don't take it away from him. >> you think so?
2:45 pm
you think it's his best moment? >> are we ever going to have a long discussion about business practices and corporate culture and things most americans know very little about. there are pluses and minuses to point out in both trump's case and carly fiorina's case and there is plenty of campaigning time left. there are plenty of debates left. >> larry, we were learning p the past of two major contenders. we were learning things that we might not had learned had they not gone at it on the stage. and maybe christie said stop because he didn't want to go back to some things in his isn't that correct yeah. ands it felt like almost a debai in a corporate board room over each other's business backgrounds and business experience, which given the resume of carly fiorina and donald trump, is an important debate for the two of them to have. i was interested in i was disappointed at chris christie cut it off. but you understand why he did it. christie was eager to interject himself. he needs have anted big moment d like larry said, it may have been his best moment of the night.

would you have top a -- done a stunt to gettings? >> two of the questions that i got i only got because i did interrupt. just basically shoe horned my way in to the discussion. i'm not sure that if i had done that i would have ended up having one question the entire night. look, i think people forget that this is not a tv show. it ispeop supposed to be a forun which republicans, not the whole country, republicans get a chance to decide who their nominee will be for president. to have thed playground argument of he hit me, let me hit him back. we're adults. we're running for president. and the whole forum should have been addressed in that manner. >> you're a policy wonk. you turned ohio around. i don't careo if people think im favoring you. i'm not. don i'm telling the truth. did a magnificent job in ohio. i never thought you were going to be able to do what you did there. but when you go out and you start to tell people about what you did in ohio, they fog out, governor.
2:52 pm
you're like the fold glove winner on baseball who makes all the catches, but doesn't hit any homeruns. >> but bill, here is the thing you got to realize. i'm running second in new hampshire. my campaign started on july 21 and i'm now running second. >> but there is only 17 people in the whole state. >> but bill, they're watching. >> the country, you got to gett well-known. >> well, bill, look, you will be. you do well in iowa or you do well, you win new hampshire or do really well there, you will be known around the country. >> come on. >> bill, here is what i want you to know, i'm building out my national campaign. i mean, i'm now hiring staff in southh carolina, in michigan, in iowa. we're raising money all over the country. just be patient.e i've only been in it since july 21. here is a national poll. i love people in nebraska, but it doesn't matter what they that it. about me today. it matters what i make early on. >> i want you to afraid your --

grade yourself in the debate. what would you give yourself? >> the grading is going to be done by the american people. but i can tell you why i wase happy with my performances, because i think what the voters are looking for, i think they're not interested in the back and forth, the schoolyard insults that a lot of the debate focused on. they're interested in substance. and there is a real difference in the records of the different candidates that on this stage an awful lot of what i call campaign conservatives, people who talk a good game, bt they haven't walked the walk. i think people are looking for a consistents conservative, been the samens yesterday, today, and tomorrow. i think in this debate, people were able to see a stark difference between my record and the record of the other candidates, whether it was on amnesty, they've supported it. i've opposed it. whether it's on obamacare. i've led the fight to stop it. others have not. or whether it's the second amendment and religious liberty, i think republican primary voters are looking for a consistent conservative who ther can trust to do what he said he'll do. >> let's talk about terrorism.
2:54 pm
when the united states invaded afghanistan to get bin laden and take the taliban out of power, you opposed that. correct? >> well, i opposed iraq and afghanistan. afghanistan does not have a central government. it has 300 tribal leaders. the only successes that we have which were limited were through our association with the northern alliance of tribal leaders and that helped for a while. that sort of dissolved now. and what have we really accomplished? every nation that has gone into afghanistan to, quote, tame it, has failed. so that doesn't mean that we couldn't take osama bin laden out. it doesn't mean t that we couldt take out the terrorist camps. but i don't see how we could possibly expect that we were going to do what no one else has been able to do.we >> if a government is declaring war in the united states, as the taliban government did, you have
2:55 pm
to attack the government, do you not? >> i'm'mst not sure that we attk every government that declares war on us. i mean -- >> i think we have throughout history, doctor. i can't recall any government declaring war on the united states, attacking the homeland, that we did not remove that government. almost every timee we did. doctor, you're always accessible to us.r we congratulate you on your campaign thus far. you're conducted yourself in an exemplary way. we hope we can continue the conversation onward. okay? >> absolutely. thank you. >> thanks. great stuff, next, ted cruz gets the late night treatment over a new ad of the we'll show that to you next thanks

for the threat posed by the soviet union. steven colbert had fun with cruz on his show. watch. >> electrics a scorpion in the desert. it's venom is a cleari and deady threat. but others refuse to even speake its name. since the scorpion seeks our destruction, isn't it time we recognize the scorpion for what it isim before it strikes again? [ laughter ] >> i'm ted cruz. i approved this message.uz >> wait, wait, wait, what? what is the scorpion represent? isiswh it terrorism? iran? mexicans? scorpions? a bear in a scorpion costume? as good as this is, i think thig ad asks more questions than it answers. but it has inspired me to make an ad that tackles an issue i care about in a much more

specific way. >> there is a spider in the desert. there is also a spider on a stick. and this one in utah. look, there is one on a nickel. and check this out, it's a spider doing pushups on a mirror. the point is there are spiders everywhere. some won't name the spider, but i will. he's named alan. and they think he's harmless. but to some of us it's obvious that he's going to crawl into your ear while you're sleeping and lay eggs in there. oh, yeah. it happened to the cousin of a guy i went to camp with. spiders. they're hatching in your brainf right now. i istephen colbert and approve -- >> what is that? get it off me! >> that's it for us tonight's. to catch my show "cashin' in" is it airing satury mornings at 11:30 a.m. eastern right here on fnc. thank you fororit bringing us io your home. while others might spin you, we won't. thanks for watching.
