police say 26-year-old james mentor pulled a gun at oasis tabernacle church shooting his girlfriend, their one-month-old son shot in the hand, the pastor shot in the leg when he tried to intervene. the shooter was upset over their recent break-up. could joe biden be setting his sights on the white house run? his wife might be holding the answer. jill biden's spokesperson saying, of course, she would be on board if her husband decides to throw his hat into the presidential ring. biden deferred to his wife when asked about the campaign. the spokesperson adding, the bidens have not made a final decision yet. an off track -- between two race car drivers turning violent. jimmie johnson is punched in the chest by kevin harvick. johnson wanted to talk about what happened on the racetrack that day. johnson said he got bumped by harvick, blew a tire, had to swerve to avoid a crash. it's not clear if either driver

on 9/11, one man saved 12 lives and lost his own. now an award inspired by his actions has been presented to its first recipient. that true american hero minneapolis firefighter jake laferrier joins us live today. thanks for being with us here. tell us your story. you went through about a month of rehabilitation, you had about 12 surgeries. what happened that day? >> yes, back in july 2010 i was involved, me and my crew on a back draft like you see in the movie "back draft" a house explosion where the house blew up on us, pretty much dove from the third floor of this burning building, landed in a burn unit, sustained third and fourth degree burns to my hands, second degree to my body. i was inpatient for about a month and a half and in that time i saw two little guys, a
