the fourth of july fire woerks and the marathon rolled up into one. as if that weren't bad enough, there's a new warning from law enforcement in philadelphia. they're worried terrorists are trying to impersonate police officers and firefighters. now, this threat isn't specifically tied to the pope's visit. nor are there any credible threats against the pope. it's one more consideration that the pope's lengthy security detail is going to have to factor in from the secret service and the swiss guard and local police and the fbi. >> we're most concerned about the unknown. if we had something specific and credible, we would be acting upon that. to disrupt it, neutralize it and ensure that no harm comes to anyone. >> the pope will first touchdown in the united states around 4:00 p.m., just a few miles from here at joint base andrews where he'll be greeted by president obama and the first lady. the big day is tomorrow. it starts at 9:00 a.m. with a welcome ceremony at the white house private meeting with the president and

then the papal parade. the pope in his white american edition pope-mobile will make his way down the stop. followed by the first canonization mass at the basilica of the national shrine of the immaculate conception. then he will address a joint meeting of congress. the first time that's ever happened. this is the first time the pope has ever been to the united states ever, in his whole life. a lot of firsts coming up in this historic swing from d.c. up to norng and then philadelphia. >> it's an exciting time. we thank you for that. >> the pope won't have any trouble with crowds. did you know he worked as a bouncer at one point. it's because he was a chemist. that's one thing i didn't know. he graduated with a degree in chemistry. he's going to have an extraordinary time here. >> a man of the people. it starts here in the united

states. a couple hours. you'll see it all live here on fox. governor scott walker, after a forceful address to the iowa freedom summit in january where the republican establishment said, you know what, he could be one of the final guys standing. as it turns out, he was one of the first guys out. listen. >> today i believe that i'm being called to lead by helping to clear the field in this race so that a positive, conservative message can rise to the top of the field. with this in mind, i will suspend my campaign immediately. i encourage other presidential candidates to consider doing the same so that the voters can focus on a limited number of candidates who can offer a positive, conservative alternative to the current front-runner. >> there he goes. just like that, the guy that many people thought was the conservative answer because of the success he had in wisconsin,

winning in a purplish state. he bows out. when people asked him about a wall, he said i'll build a wall on the northern border. when he was asked about the refugee crisis, he said i don't deal in hypotheticals. he had a major meeting with his wife called late last week after the debate. that was a do or die debate. did not do exceedingly well. he was overshadowed by five or six candidates. then it became clear, a lot of donors running for the hills and supporters wouldn't get paid. he decided to get out. >> with the suspension here. when you look at his polling, he was less than 1% going in. the latest poll out of the sec debate there. we had the one zinger thing. we don't need an apprentice in the white house. we had those moments and then this one. this is a huge moment calling for other candidates to step out so that they could -- so that the ones with the most steam could challenge what i think he's aiming at, donald trump.

chris christie disagrees with this strategy coming from scott walker. >> i don't share his view. i don't think there's anything dangerous going on. the fact is we're having a competition. the competition of personalities and approach and division will be what determines this. there's too much talk about the people on the stage. let's talk about the people at home in the audience. >> that was a big moment. >> you know what, it is now officially phase 2 of the republican primary. time to stop trump according to mr. walker. that's his goal. but also keep in mind, he's still a sitting governor. he's got a state to run. and he doesn't want the run for presidency to screw up his day job. others are suggesting it was patriotic for him to drop out, essentially doing the tim pawlenty thing that he did a number of years ago. do you think it was patriotic for scott walker to bow out of the race for the white house?

kobe pearson is known for social media experiments, exposing the dangers of the internet. you may remember his first video showed him luring girls with a fake facebook profile. it got more than 38 million views on youtube. this time he's out with a new public service announcement showing that boys can also fall victim and perhaps the most serious part about this is the fact that he lured were already warned about the dangers by their parents. >> never had a problem in the past with him talking to people or anybody that he doesn't know? >> never. >> we've been talking for 12 hours. he was persistent to meet up. be there in 20 minutes riding my bike.

american catholics are the biggest supporter of the universal church in the world. so there is some enlightenment that the holy father needs. he said on his trip back from south america a few weeks ago that he realizes that there's some things that he needs to learn and he's going to be open-minded and welcome a dialog. i hope we have that dialog with him. i really sincerely think, while he's such a dedicated, compassionate, humble man, that there are some things that, as a head of state, he should learn about our country. hopefully, he will. we'll see. he's going to visit catholic charities, which is great they give $31 billion out. does he understand that $39 billion from american coffers go out to more causes. $8 billion of private capital funds from the horrible capitalist companies go out to charitable global causes that he

a public nuisance. that's what some people in su y sunnyvale california call a boy with autism. neighbors filed a lawsuit claiming the boy's parents did not do enough to protect others from the boy's sometimes violent outbursts. the boy's family has since moved out of that neighborhood but in a hearing later today, a judge could decide if the boy's school and medical records will be released to the people who are suing the family. so how could today's hearing affect all families who have

children with disabilities? we're hearing from both sides. david schwartz is an attorney and an autism advocate. he is defending the autistic child's family. and lisa giabenazzio is representing the families suing. she's also represented autistic children as part of her family practi practice. good morning. so, david let's start with this. the neighborhood in the neighborhood say this 11-year-old attacked their kids, his parents didn't do enough to stop him and he was a public nuisance. i'm sure a lot of people would describe a lot of kids as a public nuisance. but does it seem to you like they're unfairly picking on him because he's got autism? >> absolutely unfairly targeting this young man because he has autism. and autism, they're making it seem like it's an unusual case. it's one out of 88. one out of 54 boys have autism. 60 million people around the world. so to isolate this young boy is

really vindictive at this point because the family's already moved out, also. >> yeah, and lisa, apparently the family, the parents hired caretakers, the kid was taking medications, undergoing therapy. moved out, and yet the neighbors are still suing. >> you are going to have to look a little bit more behind the case. if this case was in new york it wouldn't even have legs. but in california they have nuisance laws and they also have parental negligence laws that apply here which is the crux of this case. that is what's going on. they're not targeting the child. they're targeting the negligent supervision of the parents. and only in california can they do this. like i said, here it wouldn't happen. so it's on a state by state basis. so does it attack autistic children? no, but it definitely attacks the parents' responsibility to take care of your child. and they have done things that they also are claiming they haven't done enough. i mean the facts are 11-year-old boy, autistic boy, approaching puberty, probably getting pretty strong, attacks a 4-year-old,

shakes him, bangs his head, kicks him in the back. i think that was the catalyst. >> well that does sound like a lot of kids in my neighborhood, actually. the lawsuit says the behavior included hitting other children, throwing things and wandering into neighbor's garages. david the family did hire a caretaker. but apparently, you know, they were unable to control the kid. >> this lawsuit is unconscionable. it's unconscionable for the neighbors to bring a lawsuit against -- i can't even imagine. it's the first of its kind because no one would even think to do such a thing. who would ever bring a lawsuit against a family of an autistic child, with everything that they have to go through, with this child on a daily basis, now to have to face a lawsuit. and the lawsuit is completely frivolous. it should be thrown out. >> the lawsuit is not a lawsuit against the autistic child. the parents are the people that are named in the lawsuit. okay? it's negligent supervision. and i think that we have to point out, on the benefit of

mix themselves in to the crowd. we'll hear a lot more about this throughout the day. in the mean time a statewide scare this morning as two inmates escape from a kentucky jail. we're told matthew johnston and christopher cornelius used bed sheets and tied them together in order to escape from the roof of the louisville metro department of corrections. they were assigned to work duty on the roof. both were captured earlier this morning thankfully. cornelius is being treated for minor injuries. both men were booked in july on felony drug charges. jury selection begins later today in the trial of two men accused of killing border patrol agent brian terry. he was gunned down in arizona back in 2010, killed with a weapon from the botched fast and furious gunrunning operation. that's where federal agents sold guns to criminals, and then later lost track of them. well terry's parents have accused the obama administration, specifically the former attorney general eric holder, of covering it all up. and this one ought to make

so you have to be prepared. >> so jennifer, you used to be a student, correct, of the professor, so you're named as his lawyer. you must have been a good student. >> i must have been. it's a huge honor, and an opportunity presented itself i couldn't pass it by because i really believe in what he's doing with his lawsuit. >> so tell me about the merits of your case. why do you feel strongly about it? >> well, the right to bear arms is a natural right. it is necessary for our own front and the university doesn't have a right to choose how we defend ourselves. so under the missouri constitution and the federal constitution, as well as state law, my client should be able to possess a firearm in his vehicle and on his person while on university-controlled property. >> all right. so let's take a look at some of the states and their concealed weapons policy and what we're looking at right now. the states that allowed concealed weapons on campus, colorado, kansas, texas,

missouri, utah, idaho, oregon as well as wisconsin. do you feel as though that is a safer campus when you can carry a concealed weapon? >> absolutely. i mean, the bad guys know that people don't have guns in school environments and that's why they targeted those environments that we've seen across the country. so the problem with a rule meant to keep campus safer by banning guns there is that the bad guys don't care about the rules. >> professor they say that maybe campuses aren't the safest place to have guns because they're rife with alcohol, drugs and depression. your reaction? >> well, i'm just addressing circumstances involving faculty. i'm a faculty member. and so there are other issues that might be involved in connection with students. but those aren't really applicable in my particular circumstance. >> what other professors feel the same way as you, that you think you're representing? what percentage at your university? >> you know, i confess i don't know. i suppose we'll find out.
