andy? >> i knew mcdonalds serving all day breakfast would be bad for the show. let's welcome our guests. she was a hot teacher and now she's a hot student of politics. i am here with fox news contributor jed jedediah bila. his voice is so deep it registers on seismographs, comedian dan soder. i taught her everything she knows about fashion and retail. fox fuse and fox business contributor. and we are hanging with mr. hooper. next to me, comedian paul hooper. let's start the show. apparently there is politics in our politics. on tuesday hillary clinton, whom i just found out is running for president, released a new ad taking aim at a comment made by a leading house republican about the house benghazi committee.
12:04 am
enjoy. >> the republicans peoplely admit it. >> kevin mccarthy saying they are investigating benghazi and was admitted to destroy her candidacy. >> everyone thought hillary crib ton was unbeatable. they put together a special committee. what are her numbers today. >> they spent millions attacking hillary because she is fighting for everything they oppose. from affordable health care to equal pay. >> mccarthy is the house majority leader and considered the front runner to replace john boehner at speaker, but these comments last week caused a furor on both sides of the aisle. he said this committee was set up for one soul purpose to find the truth on behalf of the families of for dead americans. i did not mean to imply anyway that work is political. hillary's ad has been a success. already it was viewed 70,000 times on youtube. >> the republicans finally admit it. >> republican kevin mccarthy saying the committee
12:05 am
investigating benghazi and clinton's e-mails was created to destroy her candidacy. >> everyone thought hillary clinton was unbeatable, right? we put together a benghazi special committee. what are her numbers today? >> republicans spent millions attacking hillary because she is fighting for everything they oppose. >> the cat loves that, doesn't it jedediah? >> who is the cat voting for? that's the question of the year. >> that's a democrat home i think. jedediah, he never said -- talking about mccarthy, but he never said the sole purpose of the committee was to get hillary. what's the big deal? >> i think it was a miss step though, don't you think? he made it sound like a political witch hunt. people on the republican side were doing this because they wanted to they'll her in the polls -- because they wanted to nail her in the polls. they were doing it because people wanted answers and she wasn't trans parent with that information. with that being said i am tired of republicans making these kinds of blunders and we all have to run and try to save them. this guy is not the right guy for the job. if you are going to do this,
12:06 am
if you are going to hand hillary clinton a good political ad she can turn on an issue that you should be winning on, get off the stage, kevin. you are not fit for the job. >> you make a good point. you make -- would bane are have done this? >> he would have started crying doing that. it is too soon. i don't know if that is too soon. i have to agree with jedediah. this guy literally made a political campaign commercial for hillary clinton. one segment he did. i'm assuming that was on msnbc. >> no, that was on hannity. >> there you go. he literally did this commercial for her and i greaty with you. if he will sit there and go ahead and miss speak like that without proper training and hand that over to hillary clinton he shouldn't be talking to hannity in the first place. >> do we have to pretend, paul, these politicians are not engaging in politics?
12:07 am
so the house committee is the -- they have a bunch of republicans and of course they want to make hillary look bad. everybody knows that. why are we pretending that's not the case? >> the benghazi thing was twisted around so much. just throw it back and forth. i am so confused. i haven't opened a link in a couple years. >> look, these guys have been investigating. they have a right to do that. i am tired of the investigations anyway. they always line these people up like the tobacco representatives and they say, oh, is tobacco bad for you? what good are these committees? we already know she lied. just get out there and say hillary lies all the time. >> that's what the clintons do. they lie. they are really good at it. if it was like a family secret like a gravy you would say i trust the clintons.
12:08 am
that's a pretty good gravy. i just like the sexual tension between fobs news and hillary. it is a real sam and diane thing. will they, won't they? i don't know. >> am i the sam in that scenario? >> did you like shoulder pads? maybe you can be dye app. diane. >> jedediah, you say they keep making the mistakes. >> they do. >> or does the press make much a do about nothing. >> that was a stupid thing to say. i watched that segment initially and i said why did he just say that? this is an opportunity. he handed hillary something easy to run with. if you are a good politician you don't do that. mario rubio doesn't do that very often. >> he is gonna do it. >> i doubt it. >> he'll do it. he'll do it because what they do -- >> he would be doing it now. >> they miss speak, but they don't make a big deal out of
12:09 am
it. it is like the 47%. >> okay, but you know what, then republicans like man up. stop blaming the media and be able to handle -- >> i don't think they should blame the media jie. that wasn't even a hard question, tom. i'm mccarthy, right? yes, she is guilty and of course we are using it against her politically. you know why? she lies all the time. tell it like it is, right, soder? >> absolutely. what did i just agree with? >> next story, the supreme court justices get more liberal as they age. also more fun and flirty i hear. the older a judge gets the further to the left it drifts. that's especially true for republican nominee. they offer a number of theories including research that suggests contrary to popular wisdom people get more liberal with time. does this surprise you? >> this absolutely surprises me.
12:10 am
my parent aren't one of the justices, but they are getting more conservative. i don't know where this theory is coming from. in fact, i know a lot of older people that are getting more concerned as they get older. in terms of liberal policies, i was going through that piece this came from and they were saying the justices were getting more liberal because they want something is to talk about at cocktail parties. i'm sure that's not the case. i'm sure they have a million things to talk about at cocktail parties. there is another point they made that there was a justice correspondent that they were dreadfully afraid of. i don't think that's the case either. he wouldn't make a decision based on the fact that there is, of course, the "new york times" that may scour them. maybe they are getting more liberal. i just know in my perm periphery -- personal periphery they are not getting more liberal. >> that's the conventional wisdom.
12:11 am
the parents, oh i just got off the phone with my parents who are so conservative. where are these cocktail parties where people can talk about liberalism? >> hollywood. >> i like to think as you get older you are more open minded, but i know you don't, right? that doesn't seem to be the case. >> you are equating open mindedness with liberalism? maybe they become more liberal minded and see more fiscal responsibility. >> sounds like you are about to give a speech on how fun saving can be. >> maybe it is a dinner party thing and they don't want to be yelled at. >> getting yelled at at a house party is never good. they could lean a little that way. it is just -- i don't know. >> there was a point the piece made that maybe because of life experiences they have more gay couples in their lives. they are working for them and
12:12 am
seeing more women in the workforce and that is dplensing their -- influencing their decisions. but they are supposed to be advocating for the constitution and what the constitution says. i don't necessarily agree with what this piece was saying. >> they are confusing leb brail with libertarian. as people get older they are more live and let live. conservative his whole life, my dad was and much more rigid in his 30s and 40s and 50s. now he has an attitude that people have their own tree dom. if a gay couple wants to get married, maybe that's not my belief system, but live and let live. let them enjoy their lives. that comes with an easier look at life. you are looking at your retirement and you are less stressed in the workforce. there is less rigidity. that's not liberal. liberal controls what you do and not the opposite. libertarianism gives you more
12:13 am
opportunity to do those things. it is a term noel -- terminology confusion. >> dan, what's your theory on that? >> is it not obvious? when you go to work every day in a robe you will be more liberal. >> that will do it? >> it is comfortable and you wear loose fitting under that robe? hugh hefner is probably the most liberal person. where there's smoke there is fire. >> but his robe opens from the front. >> look, you guys are missing the real point. 538 acted as if people were becoming more liberal over time. let's look at the progression of conservatism. are you are a baby you are dependent in every way. of course the definition of liberal. when you are young adult you are liberal because you need student loans and your parents' health insurance. as a productive adult you are
12:14 am
more conservative as the government bleeds you of your hard earnings to pay for other people's social programs. and as an old person once again you move left as you collect governmenten entitlement and go to half priced movies. >> so it is the circle of life. >> so you do get more conservative, but as you get more elderly you are more liberal and not libertarian. >> i disagree with that. if i have to bring my dad here i will do it. >> you should. >> i will do my arrows out from the body and in to the body. now the most important story of the day. is it fair to left them keep ferrets? schools across the country are seeing a rise in the demand for comfort animals. it could help students with

12:18 am
maybe you can't have a giant pig. maybe there is a weight restriction, but why can't you have a kitten in your dorm room. >> i don't think someone in college has an emotional need. when i hold my pet close to me my heart slows down. >> that's what happens to me when i talk. then go get a job at a refrigerator factory. >> that's an odd place of to get a job because of the ale meant. >> if you want to go to college, go to college. if you want to hug your pet, stay home. >> everyone is talking about mental illness. it will make them feel better and they can get the notes and they have a therapist or psychiatrist and say this person needs an animal, by all means. it is ridiculous to have a 903-pound -- 93-pound pig in your dorm room.
