"the factor" begins now. i'm bill o'reilly. thanks for watching tonight. violence growing in america. that's the subject of this evening's talking points memo. with the nation locked in on the oregon massacre, violence is once again a hot topic of conversation. the usa is a violent country. our freedoms allow bad people to create criminal enterprises and allows madmen the opportunities to commit atrocious crimes. tough sentencing drove violent down after the crack carnage of the 1990s which made new york and los angeles exceedingly dangerous places.

they were based on aggressive community policing and controversial tactics like stop and frisk. the left labeled anti-crime initiatives as racist. under president bush the younger they got nowhere. under president obama they have been taken seriously. mr. obama and the first attorney general eric holder believed there was a strong racial element in the american criminal justice system. they ignore the fact that drug dealers have denver stated poor neighborhoods and enslaved millions of minority americans over the years. mr. obama and mr. holder believe selling drug like crack, heroin and meth is not a violent crime. never mind folks addicted to those drugs commit the vast majority of property crimes and child abuse. never mind that drug over doses

kill thousands of americans every year, that drug gangs in chicago and miami are responsible for an incredible amount of violence. as you need guns to compete in the street drug trade. now just in time the justice department will release 6,000 inmates across the nation, many dope dealers. congress is getting ready to change mandatory sentencing guidelines to help them avoid paying the penalty they deserve. all of the liberal compassion for criminals is having an effect. violent crime is rising quickly as lenient sentencing and anti-police rhetoric kicks in. the murder rate from 2014-15 instructive. in washington, d.c. up 46%. milwaukee, up 68%. st. louis near ferguson up 51%. baltimore up 54%. denver up 75%.
