don lemon asking a question or too about facebook query, and carlos lopez asking questions? >> i know juan carlos lopez, he can talk about any issue from domestic to foreign policy. he himself could have been the moderator, and the fact is they had him asking the immigration question, had don lemon asking the african-american questions, i know you want to showcase your anchors, but should we pigeonhole them. and what about anderson waiting almost two hours before asking questions about the e-mails. >> again, i think it was very disappointing from cnn's standpoint that they didn't address the e-mail issue earlier on the the first hour is very important, and guess what? that has been the topic of what

being against that -- i should say, abortion, so is there a different way that the media view democrats who are clearly trying to appeal to the more populous constituency? >> i think the media is so intrigued by the democratic socialist who is now running. the meter fact they asked the question who is against capitalism, that is something we never could have imagined years ago. i think there's a sense that they love to push on the fact that they're fire rate -- on the democrats side, i think they praise this idea of more government, more involvement, gull back to the free college tuition. they don't necessarily critique their policies or say how much will it cost? >> keep in mind this was a trump-less debate. there needed to been some charisma interjected, so i think the tenor was different.

>> republicans have very deep divisions, and it's around the margins. >> maybe, jackie, by the way the debate got almost 16 million viewers, by previous standards we would say that's amazing, though not at the trump level. did the press go easily? she talked about her evolves position. that wasn't her stronger answer. >> it wasn't. you have to look at the debate in the whole entirety. i can only speak for what we did. in general, yes, there was some high praise for hillary, maybe it was over the top in some corner, but i would say keep watching. >> one more factor, because you all were talking about it in the makeup room. here's hillary clinton. >> secretary clinton how would you not be a third term with president obama?

he uses twitter to hit gab at specific commentator, some of them on fox. does he have a legitimate beef? >> i think he does, but there's two sides to the coin with him. i think some of the coverage of him has been something to complain about, you know, words used sort of out of context to portray him as having said something more extreme than he intented, but the other side, he's got a volume of coverage that's unpresent dented in my experience. it has subsided a bit now, but it's still a tsunami. >> it's enormous. there were periods of time back in acwhere he was going to make a speech and he would take a few questions ahead of time.
