this is fox news alert. i'm patti ann browne. a five-hour stand offatoff at a planned parenthood in colorado springs coming to an end. the suspect in custody after exchanging gunfire with police. a short time ago the colorado attorney general confirmed there has been a loss of life. a police union official says an officer has died. at least 11 people were taken to hospital. five of them police officers. we are also told the suspect brought unknown items with him and authorities are working to clear the building and make sure those items are not dangerous. it all started just before noon local time. police support responded to reports of shots fired at the clinic, nearby
