started to fade when isis became a threat and people said maybe he doesn't have the credentials. there's new polls out we'll share in the next hour that show when it comes to the economy, the number one person republicans would like to see in charge is donald trump. national security, actually ted cruz eclipses donald trump a bit. what's going on in the world right now? we're worried about what's going to happen. >> ted cruz's numbers are 69% among true conservatives. >> they are. for those who would definitely show up or more likely to show up at that caucus, ted cruz takes the win there among those who would probably attend the caucus. donald trump takes -- >> to your point, that's why rubio came out yesterday and said i like him, but when it comes to national security, he doesn't fund defense. when it comes to the patriot program as far as -- now we're in the freedom act, it's his fault we're not able to follow-up. it's a substantive debate, a good pregame.

>> on friday. i have a fox news alert to bring you right now. good morning everyone. hope you had aid great weekend. egyptian officials claiming they've found no evidence of terrorism in the october downing of that russian jetliner. russian officials say an explosive device was in fact placed on board the airbus that killed all 224 people on board. isis has claimed responsibility for that disaster. but preliminary reports, egyptian authorities say there is no indication of any illegal or terrorist activity. we should also mention tourism down in egypt by 10%. perhaps that's a factor as well. >> another fox news alert from overseas. a manhunt under way a suburb of paris after another possible terror attack. police say a preschool teacher was stabbed in his classroom by a man who claimed to be affiliated with isis who was screaming "it's a warning." he allegedly walked into the school before classes started and used items in that

schoolroom to attack that teacher and ran away. this comes as a terror magazine recently called teachers an enemy of a la and urged followers to kill teachers. that teacher survived and is in the hospital. we'll update you on that. a texas plumber, perhaps you remember the story. is suing for $1 million after receiving hundreds of threats when his truck, formerly owned by his company is seen on the battlefield with isis. see this right here. it says mark 1 plumbing and his entire phone number there. his name is mark overholser. he said the ford dealer he traded that truck to several years ago failed to remove his company name and phone number before they sold that truck overseas. they were posted on jihadi social media accounts. overholser says his business is suffering from that negative attention. post office workers across the country rolling up their sleeves for the busiest shipping day of the year. starting today, the u.s. postal service is expected to deliver

the terrorist tashfeen malik who helped murder 14 people in san bernardino underwent background checks, three before entering the united states. despite radical activity on social media, she passed all three background checks. what's going on? >> senior fellow at the center for policy research and has been researching our visa system. how did she pass three? >> it's amazing what you miss. there's two problems. first the agents i talked to, this is both intelligence and law enforcement are prohibited from looking at anything considered social media that may be sensitive to the person's

gray broke his neck while being transported in april. if convicted, porter faces up to 25 years behind bars. they're struggling to come up with cash. now the democratic national convention wants your money. the chairwoman, debbie wasserman schultz launched a proposal to make up for the party's struggling finances. they're $7 million in debt right now. both parties used to use taxpayer now congress uses it to research cures for children's diseases. republicans are responding -- they're responding they have the money and don't need the help from taxpayers. interesting. this happened to eva longoria, she shares this photo after her boyfriend, jose antonio bastion put a ring on it. she tweeted, show this engaged, #dubai, #happiness. he popped the question while they were in dubai for a global

all right, for decades the u.s. economy has helped shape elections but following the attacks in san bernardino as well as paris, national security now taking top priority, but will it stay that way? dr. larry sabateau, you were telling me it's all about the economy. let's look at this poll now and tell me if you've changed your mind long-term. national security now number one with 34 followed by economic issues at 32, followed by immigration at 15 and social issues at 8. change your mind in terms of long-term concerns? >> well, the economy is not going to disappear. that's a statistical tie between the economy and national security northern policy. if you're asking me, have things after paris and san bernardino changed to the point where national security may be the equal of the economy, i would say yes. first of all, memories are going to last from those two horrific

events, and second, unfortunately the world being what it is, you're probably going to have additional events between now and the election that will keep it fresh in people's minds. >> all right, so looking at that right now, if terrorism ends up top and economies second, cruz looks stronger in the latest fox poll with 30% of people saying he's best in the gop side, trump with 20 followed by rubio and bush. if you go on the economy, it is trump by a mile, 41-17. >> yes, trump would benefit more from an emphasis on the economy, although i think his tough posture appeals certainly to his base and they see him as an appropriate person to handle the issue. it's true for cruz, it's true for rubio. it's true for christie. could you even make an argument for some of the candidates who are way down the list, bush and lindsey graham. >> who is better on terrorism? it's pretty much republicans by
