tv   The Greg Gutfeld Show  FOX News  December 20, 2015 7:00pm-8:01pm PST

7:00 pm
one of my christmas wishes this year is for >> one of my christmases this year is 1 million followers on facebook. mer i am 15,000 shy. the greg gutfeld show is next. >> good evening. this is a fox news alert. i am kelly wright. public schools will be closed tomorrow in new hampshire. the superintendent said he received an e-mail threatening violence to students and staff in two city high schools. local and state police have been alerted as well as federal employees. the governor issued this statement, we are looking at it right now. basically says that public safety is any government's most important responsibility especially at our schools. and we are closely monitoring the situation in nashville. i have been in contact with the mayor and the emergency operations center and state police and emergency office officials are working with the
7:01 pm
nashua police department local public safety officials and the fbi. we will continue to monitor the situation and work together at the state local and federal levels to investigate the threat and keep our community safe. i will also like to add here that superintendent mark conrad announced this when he received this threat he wanted to say, i am quoting from here, because the threat is specific and extends to several high schools. you will be cautious and close all of the public schools in nashville tomorrow repeating what's going on. we will continue to have more on this story as it develops. i am kelly wright in new york. >> before the republican debate are tucked in their beds the media already has its angle. what's with all of the isis ally crap. >> destroying isis. >> destroy isis. >> isis. >> isis. >> isis. >> isis. >> isis. >> the war against isis.
7:02 pm
>> if you drank ever are i time you heard isis you would be more pickled than lindsey graham at a happy hour. the debate isis would love. if one of the goals of isis is to scare the american people the gop did them a service. what happened to the real issues? not a single thing about un bathrooms or threat of unisex costumes. the secret racism of garth vaider the sexism, pets with gluten allergies. pets with gluten allergies. instead it was this isis thing. isis this and that. i ask what if that debate had been the first one and not the 5th debate? the media would have behave mocd it. more would be live than not. there's a pile of jerk who says screw them i say even if they
7:03 pm
are right. the fact is i am terror crazy i backed (bleep) over it. my wife is worried in month i will be living in a storage container reversing my gold and silver catheter. if you are a neurotic weirdo you may obsess over this thing not flatulence or the hollywood wage gap. it is a shame president obama finds it over wrought. i feel the same about climate change. let's make a deal i won't mock your ex sen shall anxiety you won't mock mine. call it the truce of the terrified. we can be scared together and hope that together we all turn out to be wrong. i want to go to >> i want to go to you first, matt. am i crazy? have i gone too far?
7:04 pm
oo what is the question. >> we don't have the conversation we should have had a long long time ago. my fellow muslims have been shutting unfortunately this conversation down. that's what happens when you take a young kid they go to college they drink alcohol they come 21 and they ca the first time in their lives. they go wild. when you shot a conversation down in this way and then suddenly the gop debate has this conversation of course it gets out of control, gets out of hand. but i want to say when you do that, when you try to tell people that they muss ant talk about it, what you are really saying is they muss ant express themselves around the topic. when you say don't think about it the only people that gain from shutting down conversation and shutting down forts are the theo krats and fascists. when you can't speak about something it only increases closed mindedness. only increases fear. and fear crashers thrive on
7:05 pm
closed mindedness and fear. >> by depressing it it comes out in other areas. it goes under crowned and you goo tow where it is. much like tucker. i never met a care free person more than you. >> that's true. >> are you worried about terror the way i am? >> it is such a wise point. when you control people say you control what they think. >> it is the immigration debate it has been tamped down for years. there's a reason. i am worried about terrorism. i am not worried about being killed by terror. that's much less scary than parkinson's or things that happened to average people. i worried about europe where freedom of expression is tamped down because of the lack of social cohesion they have there where these are societies filled with anxiety leaving aside the death toll which is neglect gabl. there's a death toll on society where you have a resident group that hates the majority. you don't want that. you don't want to live in that world. >> why do you want the apocalypse?
7:06 pm
>> give me a minute. access my talking points. it is unseasonably hot out, isn't it? (laughter) >> democrats don't want the apocalypse. it was really well put, as was yours, tucker. when people say about the debate it was too much isis talk, that was the topic for the debate. you have like 75 million of them. and i know we are hiding ours saturday nights and no one is going to watch except me because i have to for work. >> technically it already happened. >> hillary was amazing. she killed it not in the terror way. >> you need people to be talking about it. what was interesting to me about the gop debate from isis and policy on terror no one but lindsey graham was saying anything about the obama policy. they were just saying it louder. >> what drives me crazy is
7:07 pm
people get totally into terror>> the things that scarier than terror is missing the signs of the terror attacks which is what happened in san bernardino. what could we have done to have stopped this. fear can actually be a great motivatornd a it is important to be vigilant. while the odds of you ever being in a terrorist attack is slim try telling that to the family members. >> the risk you only need to be right once. by marrying the technology it is far deadlier than what we have seen. i think it's happening. cat, are you scared? are you still thinking about star wars? >> i am never going to talk about star wars ever again.
7:08 pm
i am so sick of talking about star wars. >> i heard you won't even take the train. i heard you drove to philly. >> i drove to philly instead of taking the train. the storm that was far less safe. i could have died. >> you are over run by fear and we have obama who is not just not passionate he seems annoyed he has to talk about it at all. your number one job is to keep us safe. ask if you care that i get my head blown off. >> it is as absurd the force can be used for good. i like enmyself to luke
7:09 pm
skywalker but it can be used for bad. kwef to acknowledge that. the religion of islam is as ridiculous to say isis is islam to say they have nothing to do with islam. obviously they have something to do with it and we have to talk about it. >> i see myself in jaws. >> you are throwing the scuba tank into his mouth when you are firing a gun into it and it explodes. >> exactly. at a rally chris christie had this to say. >> after isis burned their pilots to death in a cage. other countries in the middle east learned it as they watched their hostages beheaded op live television. these are animals we have to bring the fight to. >> anything about that seem offensive? let's turn to chris matthews.
7:10 pm
>> animals call them what they are bad people who witness animal things. >> it is what christie is throwing around. >> i feel such shame. would he shopped calling them names. >> people ask me whey i come on f fox>> there is micro aggression maybe macro aggression to chris matthews. it does have something to do with islam. we need to be clear about that the debate we are having with radical islamic terrorism. they are saying it's radical as extremism. we are playing such ridiculous word games with ex sen shall threat with the likes of what we haven't seen. >> we are told to call them dice not isis. i speak fluent arabic i graduated from the language. i will assure you it means isis
7:11 pm
in arabic. it is the exact arabic equivalent acronym. it has the word state in it. when they ta they are not islam and not a state you are saying they are islam and state in arabic. >> it is also masochistic. who will be the first one thrown into a cage when the caliphate come to georgetown. chris matthews. the gay community in paris pretty strongly in favor of tle pen because she seemed to be concerned about it. the one thing american left and obama has is they do hate the left. they are the american left that is a beneficiary. >> the sem mant tick fight is a safe one. why should it matter what we name men. like pig lets on a big's farm you don't name them because they
7:12 pm
are going to slaughter. let's focus on the real bulls. >> that was really good. >> thank you. i think about bacon often. >> you think isis ever thinks about what they call us? our enemies come up with words about us. >> they think about killing us. it is an easier conversation to this word is bad, this word is bad rather than actually coming up with a solution which is hard. you mentioned we have to think about the civilians over there andsy about our civil liberties but it doesn't really matter what we call them. it's important we need to figure out to do something and think of what to do. >> i binidon't think the mass shootings are the goal.
7:13 pm
we eliminated airplanes, right? you can either go smaller or you can go larger. d i don't think they are content with the shooting. >> until they figure it out. i think they are working 24/7 that is biochemical. i am honestly going crazy. i might buy the -- you ever see the commercials? >> when the world gets annihilated you plant the seeds. >> what was the movie with brend brendan frasier he has been living under ground like we were going to have a nuclear war it is like 1992 when he comes up. >> blast from the past. >> yeah, it could be like that. >> isn't that great how i came up with that? the producers whispered it in my
7:14 pm
ear. >> brandon frasier movies, he gained a lot of weight. file bad for him. >> we have a valentine from vlade, a vladtine. the keys to this home belong to mark and alissa anderson. they bought the place four months ago on what was arguably the scariest day of their lives. neither has any idea what the future holds for them. but they bought into a 30-year mortgage anyway. that was bold. they must really believe in themselves. buy in. quickenloans/home buy. refi. power.

i like that. >> i like that. another great week for our orange haired hell cat from planet awesome. fox news polls show 49 percent of gop voters support donald trump. that's an 11-point jump since november. then killer of journal list russian president vladmir putin paid him a very nice compliment. he hands out compliments as often as bernie sanders drinks his ear hair. he said he is bright and talented and absolute reader. donald trump was asked about it on another network. >> you like vladimir pumir puti comments about you? >> he kills journalists that don't agree with him. >> ours do a lot of killing, jim. there's a lot of stupidity going on.
7:19 pm
a lot of killing and a lot of stupidity. >> he said he kills a lot of journalists. trump thought that was a good thing. >> everyone in our world but the bulk agrees with wholeheartedly. a oo but it is wrong. barely, tucker. >> here's the best part about the trump phenomenon. it has awoke enthe rest of us to the fact that the country we need doesn't agree with us at all. everyone in it the press the leaders of both parties have a picture of the voters especially the republicans as people who were libertarian and economic evangelical on the social issues that's where they are. that's where the wall street journal is that's not where their voters are. at all. every time trump says something that horrifies them they expect them to vab operate. when he says we need a temporary
7:20 pm
ban on muslim immigration his numbers went up 11 points with republicans this he went up 2 points by democrats. it's not the country you thought it was and it's not because you are terrible. the people who run this country are short sighted, dlefr but not wise. greedy, not rooted in this country the long-term success is horrible. >> this is something that blue my mind when he said, america does the killing, too. it's the same thing howard zin, oliver stone, glen greenwald. it's the argument the left has to say, to justify terrorism. he almost says the most left wing thing you could say. sorry. >> he loves me. so actually there's a recoword describe this. it can apply to people like donald trump. we have our very own in the united kingdom they say the exact same thing. people say it's because no one
7:21 pm
was representing that voice out there. that's true. actually if you go to a school, you look at the comments underneath you see all of the trolls there are all of the comments. image the comments come to life. that is donald trump. he says whatever is on his mind with no filter. >> i see him as a roast comic on tour. you see stuff that he says it and it is getting a response. he does it more. a oo you headline only so. the behavior changes. i think the trump the candidate is different from what twrufrume president would be. you will see leaders who speak favorably of donald trump. once you talk to the man
7:22 pm
one-on-one, he really shows why he is such a successful man. he knows how to make other people feel important. >> he flattered him and knows that flat re -- >> it is like the ultimate trolling of obama,>> what? >> what put tin has done. he is playing nice to me and i am going to go to the guy that you hate the most and say that i think he is fantastic. >> like hanging out with an x. >> totally. >> you know loves trump i bet you my car bill clinton really loves trump. >> he called him to get in years ago. i bet you $1,000 he is cabbing elling could himself. >> but you leave my wife alone. >> donald mentioned put tin's polls. this is popular with the russian
7:23 pm
people. you think the polls are legitimate? >> i don't think it has anything to do with it. the only reason he likes putin is putin likes trump. i like people that like me. they are my favorite. i get it. at the same time i will post a status on facebook, i think it is funny someone not cool likes it. that makes me not cool by association. we have trump saying you killed a journalist but you said you like me, just don't insult me because that would be really bad. he is the most flatterable person out there. completely effects whether he likes you. >> i understand what trump was saying put tin does things to help his country unlike our president. that's his justification. but i have to remind myself that i work at fox news where half of the people here are guys who have been in war zones whether it is shep or hem error leland or they are not desk jockeys
7:24 pm
like me. as a sign of respect to the guys who go out there you have to say that's wrong. >> the world is filled with terrible people. they run to almost every country in the world outside of western europe. you have to have a higher concern. why is putin a higher concern? i think he's a big but is he the greatest threat to americaner america? they image he is our main problem. he is actually in effect on our side in this. >> i agree with you on this. >> i kill americans first. call me a trump guy.
7:25 pm
>> if we are going to be correcting liberally target innocently people killed. there is that difference. >> yeah. it's the relativistic nature of it that is senatoring. i agree with you. hierarchy, i get it. america better not do that. >> they are wrapping me. is closing get itmo such a good idea when we are fighting terror? oesh thinks so. sorry for handing out place mats with liberal talking points. way to kill some trees, harvard. {off-line}

7:29 pm
{off-line}>> by early next year we should have reduced that population below 100. we will continue to shift away steadily at the numbers in guantanamo. >> it is his version at every party. president obama still wants to give the emo to gitmo and up load over 100 prisoners take them to somewhere. not every guy that gets released comes back and becomes a florist. abraham al cozi is he a hair colorist? he is an al qaeda member in
7:30 pm
ararian peninsula. they either expected to return to the fight. will gitmo close or will congress stop the president? he serves on the house homeland security committee. congressman, my first question is, i want to settle this argument about it being a recruitment tool. is there any evidence of that at all? i have always heard that. >> i think the only evidence in the mind of the new york times writers or liberal left. somehow the real reason al qaeda hates us why the jihadists hate us is because of u.s. imperialism with dick cheney, because of guantanamo. it is all nonsense. the fact is the only reason they feel they can attack us is they think we are weak and we are not going to retaliate. i have been there guantanamo. there's not an army base in this country or boot camp in this country where the soldiers are
7:31 pm
treated as well as the so-called prisoners are at guantanamo. these guys are playing soccer. they are getting arts crafts and language classes. you have to be in prison you have to be in a prison camp this is the place to go. they have, again, this is better than any army boot camp, any navy marine boot camp in the country. nobody bothers them. they are abusive. they are terrible. >> president obama often brings up the cost which i find interesting because it's very -- it's not very often you hear a progressive bring up the price of something. but it's only -- wouldn't america kind of think the price might be worth it to -- by the way, there's nobody on planet earth that wants these guys. we can't -- we are calling our neighbors. can you take these people? they don't want to take them. gitmo is kind of like a favor, if you will, to the rest of the planet, because we are holding on to that. >> yeah, you know all of these
7:32 pm
flirzs have been released. all of them are gone through a screening process. almost 30 percent of them are back on the battlefield including this guy kozi you are talking about who were big in one of the al qaeda elements. they were the ones that tried to attack the u.s. the most times since 9-11. isis obviously is a greater power but as far as wanting to attack the u.s. it's the arabian presence law. that's what he wants. he shouldn't have been released in the first place obviously. >> yesterday when i was on the five. geraldo you remember him started yelling at me said gitmo was unconstitutional. i couldn't follow the argument. is there any shred of fact that gitmo is unconstitutional? >> he no of t no. i think it is not unconstitutional. they said some requirements you have to follow as far as due process. it is not unconstitutional at
7:33 pm
all. gitmo is with the military and it can be applied with everything they could comply with. i think quite frankly these guys are treated so easily there. everyone re release we are putting american lives at risk. why the president has this compulsion, seems to make him happy when he talks about it how he's going to close gitmo. that is one of the first things he did is sign an executive order. i wish he showed the excitement once going after al qaeda and isis. >> before with he go do you think it is going to close? >> the only way you can close it is to send those prisoners to the u.s. >> thank you congressman king. up next social network companies have obligations to reporter rist activities or is it an invasion of activities. we report, you der rive.
7:34 pm
we always were told we were german. we were in a german dance group. i wore lederhosen. so i just started poking around on ancestry. then, i decided to have my dna tested through ancestry dna. it turns out i'm scottish. so, i traded in my lederhosen for a kilt.

7:38 pm
here's my theory. a >> here's my theory a car maker is obligated to build a safe car, correct? a restaurant has to make sure it is cooked fully and properly. shouldn't social media companies be obligated to support their activity if all companies are required to reduce risk and create a state product that would make sense. no? diane feinstein are on facebook twitter to reporter rist activity to police. it is counter productive and could create privacy issues. don't critics say that about privacy. no one cares about your drunken flirty text or stupid opinions on the force awakens. we talked about this big brother
7:39 pm
era. nothing will happen because we are too boring to be spied on. no one cares about our stupid lives. >> very good point. >> if you are not doing something wrong you shouldn't be worried about that. >> can i have the pass word to your e-mail? >> you know what it is? >> privacy is essential to your humanity. you are de humanized when you don't have privacy. >> privacy ers haves security. >> that is the choice the congress is possessing. they are saying we are going to do nothing to stem the tied. but you tax mayor american citizen make sure we can read your e-mail and listen to your phone conversations. >> no one is going to listen to your conversations. >> look at david petraeus. >> that was a weird scene.
7:40 pm
>> tell that to the former governor of new york eliot spitzer. >> question knew about hillary's e-mail. >> i am saying they were caught up in 2001 al qaeda for killing us and their privacy is being violated. >> it seems to me you are more upset about having your e-mail red and we are talking about banning muslims from the country. >> i am an american. >> i am an merp, too. >> let me ask you this quick. are there burglaries in your neighbor s neighborhood? >> yes. >> they are shooting people. >> we have refugees living in my apartmentive my gun up and privacy away. >> why are guns part of this conversation? >> it's the same thing. >> why is everyone concerned about the one terrorist not the one guy who did a background check and got his weapons?
7:41 pm
>> don't even know what you are talking about. i don't think disarming me -- >> i think from counter-terrorism perspective the council (indiscernible). two things a terrorist will do. they will use encrypted apps based in companies out of germany we just discussed and they have no jurisdiction. even if they are they will have levels of encryption a bit like the block chain they get to a stage where it is going to become impossible for us to monitor all of this stuff. it will be so deeply encrypted. >> what do we do? >> instead of focusing on the supply side of it let's look at the demand. why do people want to become terrorists? that's what we haven't been addressing. as we said earlier we haven't been talking about it haven't
7:42 pm
been having this conversation which comes in harry potter vauld mortgage, he who can't be named. the demand part is where we should be focusing and understanding how the next generation of young women growing up and they are angry and saying hip hop music instead of blowing people up. >> oh, the hip top music. >> we have two options that people are sitting out there. either we look at the social media or shut down parts of the internet which will make more people mad? probably not having the internet. it could be counter productive the see something say something if companies have to reporter rist activity. if they miss it they don't want to be penalized for it. i don't know it if it will help us.
7:43 pm
>> it was awesome. we loved james bond. >> i am not ready to give up the liberties that make our country the a great place to begin with. they know it will be penalized if they don't find it. be over run with the stuff don't have time to look at it. my rights are important to me. god bless america. >> i would end on that even if you a though you are wrong. still to come social justice place mats. harvard university i have died and gone to social justice heaven. if santa has a magic snow globe for every family.
