as you wake up on this monday morning, it is shocking and kind of funny and sad all at the same time. >> because of the timing of the pageant, not everyone even knew that a mistake had been made. we'll fill you in on all the details everybody is going to be talking about today. first, we'll get to that fox news alert for you today. horror on the las vegas strip. one person is dead. dozens more injured after a car plows right into a crowd. police are saying this was no accident. >> kelly wright has been following the breaking developments out of vegas all night and joins us now. >> kelly has been following it and so have i this morning. police are still trying to piece together the details to find out exactly why this all happened. one officer calling it a horrible tragedy.say a woman in car steered on to the sidewalk and began plowing into pedestrians, killing one person and injuring 36 others. a toddler was in the back seat of that car. the driver is in police custody and they're giving her a

sobriety test to determine if she was impaired. she's expected to be charged sometime today. >> she was up off the street on to the sidewalk two or possibly three times. based on the evidence and information from our investigators, at this point we are treating this as an intentional act. >> police say it happened in front of planet hollywood where the miss universe pageant was being held. some people watched the horror in disbelief. >> it looked like she wasn't even trying to stop the car. she had both hands on the wheel and looking straightforward and there were men running after her trying to stop the vehicle. they couldn't get to her. they were yelling stop, stop. >> people were punching the window apparently trying to get the child out of back seat. she kept mowing everyone down. >> the child was not harmed during the reckless drive. some are still recovering in the hospital. steve, elisabeth and clayton x

haas north and south. but all the districts in the district are closed a a precaution today. this will affect more than 11,000 students in the district. officials looking at that threat. they hope to open the school doors tomorrow. a suspicious device that grounded another air france -- a passenger found what appeared to be a kitchen timer taped to cardboard three hours after that flight took off on the way to paris. at least five passengers, we understand, were questioned. officials still investigating this. air france will be taking legal action over that incident. a boy scout leader lucky to be alive this morning after a bear attack. the man was leading three scouts on a hike through a cave in new jersey when the bear grabbed his foot and dragged him. well, the quick thinking scouts ran out, called 9-1-1, the scout leader stayed curled up in a ball in the cave for more than

chances after two high schools were specifically threatened. wfxt's stephanie quinn yu is live in nashua with the latest on this threat. good morning. >> reporter: and clayton, police are telling us that threat was sent in an e-mail again specifically targeting two high schools, one where i am which is nash ua north high school and te other nashua south high school. we have videos for you. the fbi is working with the state agency to determine the credibility of the threat and who exactly sent that e-mail. police told us at this point, they are looking at all angles. police telling us that it was actually a school administrator who received that e-mail yesterday, and immediately called police. police didn't say what specific threat of violence was in that e-mail, but they told us that e-mail stated students and staff at both high schools would be harmed today and of course as a

we have not been able to confirm if any americans are among the dead but we will keep you posted on this as we get it. was a fake bomb that forced another air france flight to land early a test run for the real thing? this is what kenyan and french officials are trying to find out this morning. that is a look at what folks found on board that plane that caused so much distress. we are hearing reports that five people who were on board that plane are under arrest this morning. one traveler found this device in the bathroom and forced an emergency landing in kenya three hours after the flight took off. officials are still investigating. air france says they will take legal action over that incident. another fox news alert to bring you a detailed threat of violence shutting down 17 public schools in new hampshire this morning. police say that the e-mail threat was speccally directed at students and staff at nashua high school north and south, but all districts in, all schools in that district are closed this morning as a precaution. more than 11,000 students in the
