singing. it was doing well. and we need a little bit of that. and as you said, i mean, you said it. he's a very strident person, nobody likes him. he doesn't have one endorsement from one senator. number one, number two, wasn't born in this country. nobody knows and they're looking right now and trying to figure it out. many lawyers have come out and said he can't run for president. he's got a problem, he's got a problem he took money from goldman sachs and citibank and didn't report i it's a problem. >> you had sarah palin's endorsement. >> i was very proud to have her her endorsement. sarah palin called and it was just an honor and you know, she

backed in to the senate and he gives credit. she's got great influence. i thought she was terrific and it's an honor to have her endorsement. >> any thoughts on the boycott? >> no real thoughts on it. whatever happens, happens. the country has bigger problems than the oscars. many, many people from the party called. many people that are very conservative that are, i guess you'd call them, in cases establishment. but people are calling to see what's happening. i mean, you look at the polls and you see you're up by 28 points in one state and 20 in another state and when iowa comes out today, two polls, i mean we're doing very well. and honestly, the party has to be healed and brought together. and i think the party c

brought together. >> mr. trump, i read the plan with your second amendment. but it doesn't pass with past decisions. >> i think it happened over a period of time. ronald reagan was pretty liberal as a young man and became more conservative. i feel strongly about the second amendment and more so with wh g what's happening. when you look at paris, people need protection. we have to get protection. my two sons are members of the nra. they're expert hunters and feel strongly about it. >> why have you never voted in a presidential primary. >> i don't know that that is a fact. i vote a lot. i can tell you i vote a lot.

>> is that something you've never done? >> in iowa there are ads on the radio that have been punching ted cruz's authenticity, naming that he hasn't given much to charity. should that be a consideration for voters? what is your sense of his office? >> i don't want to speak as to his authenticity. it's not appropriate in my opinion, however, i will say he does have problems and he's got to solve his problem as to whether or not he's allowed to run for president. he was born in canada, a citizen of canada until 15 months ago. i mean he was a citizen of ka in a -- canada. then, he said he didn't know that. he was a senator from texas, a citizen of canada and said he didn't know about it. he said he didn't know about goldman sachs and citibank. it seems a little bit hard to

2008. this year things have been more difficult for the governor. he joins us now from iowa. you have given it a good shot, but the trump/cruz brawl seems to be overriding everything right now. how do you see that? >> well, i will tell you, i'm still finding it out here with iowa people that the connection is real. and i just think people have forgotten the lesson ofvy iowa. every four years the media gets it wrong. they got it wrong four years ago, eight years ago. bill, they have gotten it wrong for 40 years. jimmy carter was never supposed to win it back in the 70's. the iowa people will make up their own mind and most of them don't make it up until just before the caucus. i think we will see that happening again february 1st. >> okay. and i hope they do. i would like to see some surprises. but santorum won last time, you won in 2008. it doesn't seem to mean that much in the general vote. although certainly we applaud juans for having a caucus. we think everybody should be heard. but, trump -- >> -- let me just point out something, bill. hold on one second.
