>> well, it's interesting. we have never seen a campaign like this. you have three candidates in this race. the campaign has been in one state. donald trump has led the polls here and ted is a winner in iowa. who knows? it's a very unusual, and dynamic. i can say we want to get as many delegates as we can in new hampshire. it's going to be a long process. we have seven delegates out of iowa. ted came in first. he got eight. so he's only one delegate in front of us. we want to get as many as we can out of new hampshire and move on to south carolina. we feel strong about our campaign there. >> it's about delegates. >> it will be in this one. if you look at this race with so many competitive people in the race, i think that is going to be a big factor here. we're going to be the nominee. i just don't know if it will be in may or march. >> thank you. >> thank you. >> now, they've moved onto the cake in dixville notch and why

not? it's midnight. they've voted and we just got the results. a total of nine ballots were cast. bernie sanders took it on the democratic side, unanimously. john kasich took it to donald trump and that was it. everybody else, bupkiss. now, over the weekend, governor chris christie managed to score some points in this abc news debate by attacking senator rubio. his point is that senator rubio's campaign is built on memorized lines and revely rehearsed sound bytes and it's not sincere, that he's acting basically. christie's critics pointed out the new jersey governor can also repeat himself from time to time. >> this is the difference between being a governor and in the legislature. you have to be responsible and

9:14 pm
too inexperienced for the job and has done everything intentionally. that is how he's trying to rebutt the argument that a first-term senator is not the one. >> nobody buys his responses. nobody buys the responses and he got caught doing what i said he's been doing. >> reveals what to us? >> he has no substance. that is what. he repeats canned lines over and over and over again. >> okay. >> he does it all the time. town hall meetings and tv interviews. >> do you ever do that? >> yes. but i almost never open the same way. i almost never close the same way. my answers are different. absolutely. >> how about the people say it's message discipline? >> how about the people who say it's robotic? i don't know. if you like marco rubio, you like that. but that is not the way it works
9:15 pm
when you're sitting in the big chair. you can't repeat the same thing over and over again. there is not substance there and that is what it showed. everybody suspected about marco rubio. he's a nice guy. he's got a lot of talent. he has not served one day in a position of management and now he wants to manage the largest, most complex government in the history of the world? it showed that importantly than that, is that i am ready. because i did not get shaken. >> let me ask you. >> he's coming back at me. i didn't repeat the same things over and over again. >> everybody remembers four years ago, republicans breging you to run and you said i'm in the ready. do you feel like he's you four years ago? someone just isn't ready for the job but putting himself out there? >> no. it has nothing to do with me about him not being ready. i make my own decision,
9:16 pm
everybody has to make their own decision and he's being judged about whether he's ready or not. he's not ready. >> what about those saying i love christie but i don't think has a chance. >> the momentum is going our way. senator rubio is dropping like a rock and we are rising. >> any predictions? >> i will do better than you show on the screen. >> you showed on the screen that is your prediction. i'm going to do a lot better than that. then, you can buy me a beer or something. i'm a tee totaler. >> okay. we'll have tea. >> good to see you, megyn.

part of our platform, also, wall street reform and that is something hillary clinton has not always been on our side about and bernie sanders has. he may be a man but he is by far -- >> a few years ago, gloria steinham said bernie sanders is an honorary woman. and a feminist. now, he's running against hillary, i guess he's just a man. >> you said something on your colbert interview i thought was brilliant. you said something everybody can agree with is that women should not have to choose between work and family. that is something the women watching last night understand more than men. hillary clinton understands womens' issues she's been fighting for them for 50 years and understands them on an innate, human level in a way that bernie sanders will never

be able to understand. and i think miss steinham and madeline albright are taking for granted a symbolic victory this would be for women if hillary clinton became the next president of the united states. and let's just say, if bernie sanders is the candidate, he has much chance winning as donald trump asking you, megyn to be his fourth wife. >> i'm not going to touch that one. >> i don't agree with that. >> the supreme court nominee is -- >> but, let's be fair here, hillary clinton when she's running i don't think the turnout is going to be high. when an entire generation of our party is being disenfranchised and joining the independent

movement that is a problem, maybe we should find more women to run. maybe there are more senator that's could have run. >> i want to continue this discussion. there is more to talk about but can't because we have another guest. great to see you both. >> thank you. the conspiracy that will not go away. the feud between ted cruz and cnn over who is to blame for a feud against dr. ben carson and now, accusations of stealing votes. howie kurtz is next on why this isn't going away and what it could mean for the campaign.

feud between cnn and senator ted cruz is ramping up again. today marks a week since the bickering began over who's to blame for the suggestion during the iowa caucuses that dr. ben carson was dropping out. just this weekend, senator cruz defended the campaign again. >> on monday night about 6:30 p.m. cnn reported that ben was not going from iowa to new hampshire or south carolina. rather he was, quote, take a break from campaigning. cnn reported on that. they didn't correct that story until 9:15 that night. i apologized to him then and i do so now. >> cnn issued a statement after the debate suggesting senator cruz's remarks, quote,

categorically false. and on it goes. howard kurtz, so, does it boil down to cnn sent out a corrective tweet saying he's still in the race but didn't report it on the air i guess until a significant time after or at least that's cruz's defense. >> cnn didn't really have to correct anything. the initial report said in a highly unusual move ben carson going off the trail. >> led us all to say, oh, when's happening with carson? >> cnn didn't say dropping out, suspending. but the voicemails and i confirmed authentic talked about suspending the campaign. he should move on. >> he was asked about it at the debate. >> yes, no. >> he was asked. >> he should have said it was wrong. he blamed cnn and didn't do anything wrong. the thing is the fallout over this controversy, a week latter, still talking about it. i think kind of cast a shadow on the win in iowa and kind of took

the oxygen away from it and not made much news since. >> let's talk about beyonce. how did she tick people off? >> a halftime show with people in black panther-like uniforms, black power salute and singing a song and the video version on top of a police car sinking and giving the finger and so forth. people found it offensive to law enforcement. i long for the days we argued about janet jackson's nipple. >> did you say the n-word? it's okay. it's almost 10:00. >> i don't understand why cbs allowed this. it's a wonderful family event and this injected a note of racial and political divisiveness. she can do her protests. i don't think the halftime is the appropriate spt. >> very charmed. what happened with the introductions? very weird. >> biggest train wreck. every high school football team knows how to do this. number 44, left tackle, all right, did on out.

carson didn't hear. piled up. watching it. you know? here's one saving grace of that. two hours of scripted sound bites at least an unscripted moment and kind of amusing and pretty awful. >> could happen to any one of us. what super poligrip does for me is it keeps the food out. before those little pieces would get in between my dentures and my gum and it was uncomfortable. just a few dabs is clinically proven to seal out more food particles. super poligrip is part of my life now. t...to help sense danger before7 was engiyou do. . because when you live to innovate, you innovate to live. the all-new audi q7. a higher form of intelligence has arrived.

last night after the super bowl, yours truly visited the late show with stephen colbert and talked about the next fox debate on march 3rd and the issue of feminism. >> do you feel like that you represent a form of feminism? >> well, i don't like that word feminist. >> why snot. >> i think it's alienating and that's because it's been co-opted by people. and i think that's alienating. i like the sandburg approach of tabling the most divisive and see what we agree on as women.

it's not to talk about it but to do it. and i love the steve martin motto. be so good they can't ignore you. >> twitter. see you tomorrow night as we get results in new hampshire. > . tonight -- >> it is going to be i think something special tomorrow. >> the new hampshire primaries only hours away and donald trump looks to capitalize on his lead in the polls. he is here tonight. >> in the state of iowa, we saw that old reagan coalition coming back together. >> after winning in iowa, ted cruz is aiming for a repeat in the granite state. >> the gop contender will join us. >> there's a special place in hell for women who don't help each other. >> and hillary clinton's campaign gets desperate and plays the gender
