thankful for the opportunity. i have interviewed you and the candidates in this process and i watch the criticism. i watch the debates. these debates have been getting pretty fierce, right? and i want to give you an opportunity. if this does happen to you, what -- how do you fix your our broken economy? i told the crowd we have 95 million americans out of the labor force. 46 million on food stamps. all the young people. we have stolen from the young children. doubled the debt. the president will accumulate more debt than any other president before him. how do you fix it? >> what happened to the country is trade deals done by incompetent people. we had incompetent people. and we've made terrible trade deals. what we have done worse than trade in the pure sense is our companies are leaving because we almost encourage companies to get out of the country because we have no policies, we don't know what we're doing. other countries devalue the

currencies and make it impossible for companies to stay. you see carrier leaving. announced last week. 1,400 people. ford is moving massive oirp ivi operations into mexico. nabisco is leaving chicago. that won't happen with me. sunny, that's not going to happen with me. you go -- i know north carolina very well, by the way, because i have property in north carolina. in charlotte. >> is there any state you don't? >> not too many. lake norman. does anybody know lake norman? it's an incredible property. trump national. like an incredible property and with great people and great members and everybody's happy. most beautiful homes you have ever seen. this is a great part of the world but they lose tremendous industry and all over the country. and they're moving to other places. a lot of them are moving to mexico. like the new china on a smaller level but like the new china. so we will bring our jobs back,

sean. we are going to bring our jobs -- as sure as you're sitting there, we'll bring the jobs back into this country for the first time. and we're going to stop -- we're going to stop being the country that's just pushed around. you know, recently you saw vincente fox, he was the former -- >> he was on my tv show. we had a big fight. you missed that edition. yeah. >> he said we will not pay for the wall and used the word. he used the f-word. i thought he would be on the front page of the paper. he said we won't build that you know what wall. that's terrible. but actually he said we're not going to finance it, pay for it. i said, wow, he would -- they would never agree to it. now they're saying they won't pay for it. we'll build it. pay for the wall. we are going to stop businesses from leaving our country. and we are -- they're being --

and they are being drained out of our country. our jobs, our money, our base. and our factories. we are going to stop it. >> you don't expect him to write a check but what you're saying is they will have to make concessions? >> many different ways. >> so in other words, you don't expect mexico to say, yes, mr. trump, here's a check for $10 million. >> it wouldn't look good tie deals that you will make more than compensate for the wall. >> may tax them. doesn't make any difference. look. we lose a tremendous amount of money on -- we have a trade deficit with mexico. $58 billion a year. people don't know that. the wall costs $10 billion. okay? that's a trump wall. beautiful wall. it will be done properly. it will be way up there, sean. you will be very proud of it and look good. as good as a wall can look. a really beautiful door. you know what this means. people will come in. >> legally. >> but they come in legally. come to our country. >> you know i have been to the

border ten times, and i should tell these people. border patrol. hi. i've been out on horseback, all-terrain vehicle. i saw a tunnel in a san diego office building dug from mexico up through the office building and we know the statistics. here's the question. i want to get back to the economy. government spending is out of control. >> true. >> how do you -- how do we stop the growth of government? >> i have been watching him for so many years and learn from him and the guests. you get criticized. he gets the information from television. the people that write the greatest of all papers are also on the television, too. >> good point. >> i watch this one right here. you have to think -- right? we can learn. we can learn from our sean. he's got a thing called the penny plan. it's very simple plan. right? >> want me to tell it? of every dollar every year for six years and balance the budget.

no more increases built in to government spending. they have to live within their means. it is amazing. >> except the military. >> you would increase spending on the military. >> i would increase on the military. >> every time you look at the equation, all right, discretionary spending and then social security and medicare. the third rail. >> right, right. >> would you consider raising the retirement age? would you consider maybe getting rid of cost of living benefits? >> i will call it the way it is. we'll make our country so rich and good again. we'll make it vibrant again. we had no growth in the last two quarters, essentially no growth. it's unheard of. if china gets down to 7%, like they will have a national catastrophe. we have nothing. we have nothing left. we have been stripped. if we get the growth up to 4% or 5%, i think that's absolutely doable, we can pay for everything. we can have plenty of money left

over for infrastructure. infrastructure of our country and also great jobs but the roads, the airports, the hospitals, the tunnels, the brims. >> we won't have to cut entitlements? >> i don't want to cut entitlements, no. >> there's two issues you discussed with detail with me. maybe explain to the audience. the money that corporations have overseas, trillions of dollars -- >> corporate inversions. >> repatriating the money and energy independence and the number of jobs that will be created doing that. >> right. exactly. look. we spend a tremendous amount of money on energy in the sense of protecting these people, that don't like us too much, folks. i'll give you an example. saudi arabia. no problems with saudi arabia. they were before the crisis went down a career ago a billion dollars a day. a billion a day. money that like nobody's ever seen. we protect them for peanuts. practically nothing. we spent a tremendous amount of money. south korea, when you want a

television set, we go to lg, samsung, they're all made in south korea. it's a monster. in terms of economic. that goes with air conditioner, so many different things and ships coming out of south korea. you look at china. you look at so many different -- you know that we have -- not a lot anymore but we subsidize china. we give them subsidies for other things. not a huge amount of money but still money. we are subsidizing things in china. japan, we protect japan. japan is interesting. the we're attacked they don't have to do anything. if somebody attacks japan, we're in world war iii. they don't have to fight for us. i mean, this is the way it is. germany. we take care of germany. we protect germany. the money spent on the military is massive. everybody says ten times more but it's protecting other nations. and many of those nations are very rich. they got to pay up. we want their help. they got to pay up.

okay? they got to pay up. >> let me ask this. i think -- i don't think there's a person in the crowd that isn't worried about their health care. >> yeah. >> we have obamacare. >> right. >> you said -- i think we came to the right town. >> health care savings accounts are something you like it. we could have romney care. right? >> who said that? >> see how that's worked out in massachusetts. that's a beauty. look. you have concepts, of health care. we don't have any competition. no competition. we let there be tremendous competition and the health care savings accounts, so inexpensive for the people, so inexpensive for the country. you know, obamacare's going to destroy. talk about budget.

in '17, it explodes unless the republicans give them more money. they gave them more money in the last budget to keep it going. it will implode. >> how's -- you mentioned -- >> i'm going to be president when it imploeds and i get the money when obamacare imploeds. not good. by the way. >> you'll replace it with competition and portability. >> absolutely. >> take it job to job? >> take it from place to place, sta it to state. >> health insurance here in north carolina and stuck in new york where i pay an unreal rate of taxes, i'd be able to do that? >> you can do that. move around. sort of like ownership. almost like ownership. and it also gets people to negotiate with their people like you see a doctor and negotiate with them because you don't want to use too much of your money. really an asset. right now, we have plans that are so out of control and obamacare's out of control. the cost of obamacare by 2017 will be astronomical. you know when you see -- to the country astronomical.

the premiums are going up 25%, 35%, 45%. people are getting -- is that right? >> and more. and more. >> no, no. absolutely. it won't exist in 2017 tie young people, the way it's designed is a ponzi scheme. young and healthy people pay for the sick, elderly and disabled. they need a catastrophic plan. an accident, cancer, then they would be given the help they need and they can incentivize a check-up a year and cheaper than if you stub your toe. >> the young people aren't joining obamacare. the people they want to pay for other people that do have difficulty -- i mean, preexisting and difficulties, those people aren't joining. the people with difficulties are all joining. and it's just not working. it never was going to work. it never had a chance to work. >> stay with us. we have mr. donald trump for the

getting the 1,237 delegates because they want a brokered convention, a contested convention. john kasich said, that would be exciting and acknowledged to me the only path he would have to the nomination. >> only way he can get it. he has a lot of problems i think in ohio. [ inaudible ] thank you. i think. it's very sad. i heard 59 planes flew in from all over the word. they're taking advantage of our country. these are people i know many of them. i can even look at their planes and say who owns this one and that one. i know them. they're flying in because they don't want to have strong borders. they want stuff flowing across the borders and no taxation when countries treat us unfairly. they benefit from that. we have to. otherwise we'll continue to lose the businesses. you have china sending things into this country, no tax, no nothing. if you want to do business in china, it's almost impossible and if you get the product there

you pay a tremendous tax. i want everything to be nice but it doesn't work. >> that is concerted effort to prevent you from getting the nomination. and it appears based on the -- the names of the people there that they're willing to spend millions and millions and tens of millions of dollars to stop you. >> we had a great night last night. [ inaudible ] i love these people. a great group. didn't we have a great night last night? what happened last night with the victories, a tremendous even my -- even some of the pundits the worst at least talented, i won't talk about them on your show because they happen to be on fox, many of them. >> not the host. >> that was a phenomenal evening for trump and not only the victories, the margins. landslides.

they were all landslides. here's what's happening. the biggest story in politics today is the fact that during the republican primary, millions and millions of additional people are showing up to vote. it is a phenomenon. been on the cover of "time" magazine numerous times. i've been on the cover four times in a short period of -- can you believe it? i've been on i think two times in my lifetime and i've been on four times. this is politics really a lot of fun. but the fact is we have altogether a movement going on. and it's a movement of competence and common sense. [ inaudible ] thank you. it's a movement of competence and common sense and low taxes and -- so many other things. by the way, and borders. and borders. >> last night you said something. >> they would be so foolish to give it away. millions of people. >> when you see the numbers and percentages, this percentage increase on the republican side, clearly the energy is there.

>> yeah. >> on the democratic side, depressed. 35%, 45%. last night you talked about reconciliati reconciliation. unity, bringing the party together, electing republican senators and congressmen and conversations with paul ryan. bring us in that conversation. how are -- how are the people there now responding to you behind the scenes? >> some called me and very personal and quiet and confidential. i'm called by the biggest people in the world of politics. by certain establishment people you wouldn't believe. i was called by paul ryan. who was very, very nice. i like paul ryan. i like maybe stronger border than he would like. that's okay. we can get that done. but he called and he was very, very -- it was very, very good that he did. and others. and others by the way. >> some have questioned you've been -- look. you're a tough businessman, a fighter. some of the debates we were

discussing with the crowd before are intense and some say donald trump, this is what mitt romney said, doesn't have the temperament to be president. you said i can be as presidential adds anybody. talk about the temperament you think a president needs. >> you know, it's actually quite a complicated subject. i had 17, there were 17 people that started. all capable people. senators and governors. i mean, not talking about babies and they got there by guile and intelligence. so i started off with 17. everybody that's attacked me has gone. you nats? isn't this nice for our country? everybody -- so we're now down to four. when i'm doing that, i can't be so nice. being attacked viciously, i mean, jeb was very vicious. they were all very vicious. and they're all gone. an enthey have gone like where the poll numbers were 11 and then they attacked me and 0 and they say bye-bye. these are not people that like

me. among the people trying to gang up to do something. i feel, number one, i know this. i could be the most presidential person other than abe lincoln. he was pretty good. a serious president. right? he had the serious president look. i was a great student. i went to the best schools. all that stuff. i have what it takes. when somebody attacks you personally and attacking you viciously, i guess they say, you should -- some people say stand up and let them say whatever you want. you're presidential. i would be run out of town. if i did that -- it doesn't work that way. no, no. sean. at the right time, the right time i will be so presidential you say, donald, you have to stop that. it's too much. but you know what? it is true. i think you understand. when they attacked me, i have to attack back. i'm a counter puncher. when they attack me, if i don't attack back, the press says he should act more presidential and then like a couple of days ago, a speech, no presidential.

i can be presidential but when you're attacked and attack back they say it's not presidential. >> i say after you had victories and press conferences, that's more of the person -- i've known you 15 plus years or 16 years. that's the person i've always known. now, it's different scenario. i know the democratic playbook. assuming it's hillary, i know how you feel about that, assuming -- assuming it's hillary, they're going to say, republicans are racist, sexist, homephobic, poison the water, air, throw granny over the cliff and hate america. >> what they did with romney. >> what they do all the time. >> especially with paul on the entitlement. the famous wheelchair over the cliff and all. i was hit once by hillary and that was four weeks ago and we haven't heard from her since. and i -- i will tell you i was

not given proper credit. she went down during this time and gave credit when bernie sanders doing well. i did a big favor to him. she said something about me. and i said something very strong about her and bill. it was just a counter. i haven't even started on her yet. let me tell you the other -- sean, the one person she does not want to run against is me. that i can tell you. you know, i watch -- i watch on your show ted cruz and i watch these people and they say, oh, well, number one, i'm beating her beautifully in a poll. one today. i haven't even started. >> this is a preview of coming attractions? >> i'm saying we're going to win. the other guys won't win. i'll bring places like michigan into play. nobody else is going to win. ted cruz and rubio i think rub yo owe's out of it now.

side, they listen to ted cruz's attacks, reason to rubio's attacks, others, and say donald trump's not a conservative because he was not a conservative in new york. tell us where you're conservative in your mind, what kind of conservative you are, how do you define conservatism? >> let's start off by saying it's true. years ago, 100%. i was a businessman. a magazine said donald trump's a world class businessman. i had to get along with everybody. i did. i didn't know i would be running for office some day. i was told if you're successful you can't run for office and i understand that because you go under a microscope. i was friendly with everybody. i helped everybody. i contributed to everybody. and to be honest with you, when i needed somebody or made a phone call, everybody took my call. that's a good thing. that's not a bad thing. i think people understand that. and that includes hillary and everything. secretary of state, they were there. that was what we're supposed to do. when i saw the country going so bad, the iran deal being made and said don't make that deal, i

see the horrible trade deals, i said, let's do this. i'm going to go. i'm going to run and see how it works out. i decided to run and from literally june 16th i've been number one. as you said, center stage. now, what happens is this. i'm a conservative person. i'm very conservative in many respects. but i'm a conservative person but i like to say a common sense conservative because i'm conservative on independence in energy. i'm very, very, very conservative on the border and all of. that i'm extremely conservative on the military. we are going to rebuild our military. it's going to be -- than ever before. i'm very, very conservative on our vets, our veterans are treated horribly and we'll take care of our veterans. our veterans are treated honestly, our veterans treated worse than illegal immigrants coming across and have a lot of -- cause a lot of problem. i'm very, very conservative when

it comes to education. we're getting rid of common core. we will have local education. we have discussed repealing and replacing obamacare. it is going to happen. >> you put education back to the states completely? >> 100%. >> all the money to the states? >> yeah. i think it's fair. i've seen it. you know, sean, it is interesting. we are in the top 30. we are number 30 in the world, the united states, number 30 in the world on education. right? we're last. number 30, you have sweden and norway and number one and through four. we are number 30 and number 1 per pupil in terms of money spent. so we spent more pupil. number two doesn't exist. we spend the most by far and the worst part of the list. not going to happen anymore. i've seen the parents are involved. i've seen it. the local education is the way to go. >> is there anything you think you're liberal on?

>> not liberal. but i am common sense. here's the one thing that the conservatives can get me. free trade. i'm a free trader. just so you understand. but free trade goes along with smart trade. i don't want to be a free trader, you know, free on our side but on their side they're killing us. okay? like china. and i have great relationships with china. i made a fortune in china dealing with china. i don't blame china. i wish our leaders were doing the kourns sy manipulate graeter than anybody in the history of the world. >> every time your opponents attacking you, is it attacking your old positions? >> like to attack the old positions and say i'm not a free trader. i love free trade. >> here's the other question. >> we don't have the capability. our leaders aren't smart enough. these guys in china and mexico, in japan, these are total killers. these are smart, smart people. they stay awack at night thinking about what to do.

whereas obama's out playing golf. okay? >> you've also said -- you've explained from the first debate on how you became pro life. pro second amendment. your son don is a hunter. you carry a gun in new york. >> i do. i'm a me believe of the nra. and my sons are members of the nra. >> so on -- if all of -- do you pledge -- i guess for those people that write me on twitter and facebook and say, hannity, you're too nice to mr. trump and don't challenge him on the conservatism. is it your promise and pledge of everything you listed, energy independence, the military, the penny plan, the borders, hang on, is everything you're saying, is that a promise and a pledge? this is you. >> you know why it's a pledge? i wouldn't do that if i thought who wouldn't pledge that stuff? it's common sense. but i remember when jeb -- jeb bush is a nice guy but he would

say he is not a conservative. he would look in the -- he is not a conservative. he would look in the camera and people say, so what? do you want to have -- say it to a large extent of free trade. i'm totally for free trade but it's got to be a double -- got to be a double path. >> is that the main thing? >> in. >> one other issue that comes up. >> draining the country. >> i agree with you. i'm not disagreeing. >> if we had smart -- the problem with free trade is you need smart leaders on your side, too. we don't have those people. carl icahn, smartest people in the world in our country, business leaders. i have them lined up. i have steve wynn is incredible. smart guy. >> i know steve. >> one of the greatest bankers in the world, super brilliant guy. makes so much money when the market goes bad, he gets it right. i have the smartest people in the world. they're ready to come and help. we use political hacks to negotiate the deals and we lose

all the time. >> can i interpret from that statement you would take in a lot of people from outside government? for example, you started with 17 people. some of the governors by the way did have solid records in the states because i think they governed conservatively and republicans feel betrayed. they made promises they can't keep. would you hire -- people in your mind to surround -- >> never said he was wrong. >> here we go. >> let me tell you where you're wrong. >> i feel like chris christie. >> like ted cruz, i mean, i will tell you, they are controlled by the donors. they are controlled by the special interests. >> i don't disagree about -- >> they're controlled by lobbyists. totally controlled by lobbyists. i can tell you this. >> if you're president -- >> i'm putting up my own money. >> won't they listen to you? >> but they're -- but, sean,

>> so, i was really struggling. i was in san antonio for six years, over 100 surgeries just to -- just to be this way. >> okay. >> so after that, i retired. i went back home. home wasn't home anymore. so i moved to west virginia. i moved to west virginia in -- i went to many vas. couple of vas were awful. awful. i was there -- i was waiting for appointments for several weeks. and now i'm going to smaller va. it's really good. i like it. it has a lot of problems. but i'm here for the other veterans. i'm here for them because i cannot -- thank you. i cannot see my fellow veterans killing themselves.

for lack of help. >> that's terrible. >> let me -- only because of the constraints of time. you want to ask him. the vets have been treated horribly. >> that's true. >> you're sticking up for the vets and helping those with ptsd and suffering and mistreated like you have. >> yes, sir. >> your question is, what is president -- do to fix this. >> okay. you know, tony, it's been a thing. i've seen you around and we've been friends to a sense. it's a been big part. a staple in the speeches. i mention the vets and i don't mention the military without the vets. the veterans administration is corrupt. it's a corrupt deal. and we are -- i say this and i say it very strongly. we'll take care of the vets and waiting two weeks and a week. >> some died waiting. >> they die waiting. if they have waiting, we'll move them out and get them to doctors
