you have folks coalescing against him. they have not embraced him if you will. >> garland, it sounds like many voters will not tie donald trump to the the republicans if he gets the nochlination, how dew see it? >> that is correct to some extent. the question is for a republican candidate, how do they endear themselves to the base? let's face it. donald trump is popular with the the base. i would argue the democrats in kentucky and what happened there, they ran away from a popular president with his signature plan, they dampened the base. and didn't endear themselves to the base. so the question is, is it possible for a republican candidate to fence sit and will not associate myself with the donald trump base.
