a fox news alert because there's a lot going on this easter morning. >> americans identified as the shults were killed in the brussels airport bombings. >> this as prosecutors charge three terrorists connected to the deadly attacks. >> and we learn brand-new details about the so called man in white. fox news senior affairs correspondent greg palkot has the latest on this story. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, folks. yeah. it's a sad easter sunday here in brussels. a small group of people gathered at the memorial behind us as yet we're learning more new important information about the investigation into the deadly attacks this week. police think they could have the other airport bomber t man seen in white in that surveillance picture with two other suicide bombers. it's believed he has fled the scene, it's believed his name is faycal cheffou. he had claimed to be a

journalist, and he is charged among other things with terrorist murder. two others were arrested as well. possibly accomplices. sadly, we can confirm two more americans were killed, 30-year-old justin shults and 29-year-old stephanie, his wife. they were both from kentucky. they both worked for countries here and they loved to explore europe, traveling. they were in fact at the airport probably going off on another trip. in fact, when the bomb blew, there were others there as well, of course 31 dead. with the shults we believe there are at least four americans dead in this tragedy. now, there are also 12 americans injured. the total -- 31 dead, 270 injured. we're learning more about those injuries. many of them with serious burns. many had their eardrums burst. it must have been deafening inside that metro when the bombs

blasted. there was a march and a demonstration against terrorism here behind us, but it was cancelled at the last minute. government officials are too busy investigating and the organizers complied. but again as we see in the scene behind us, i'll step away and the cameraman pierre can zoom in. a small group of people gathered there looking at the flowers, looking at the messages and the flags. 40 nationalities involved in the dead and the injured here. being remembered on this sad, sad easter sunday in brussels. back to you guys. >> greg palkot, thanks a lot. when we get to the american response to what, so europe has been flooded over the past 12 months with more than 2 million refugees from the syrian civil war. the president of the united states barack obama in his radio address yesterday explained that in response to this, the

americans has a moral response to let them into our country. here's part of what he said. >> as we move forward in this fight question to wield another weapon alongside the air strikes and in's the power of our example. our openness to refugees fleeing isil's violence, our determination to win the battle against isil's propaganda and radicalizing the young muslims to their cause. >> this has become the standard barack obama response. a little bit about the war. he says a relentless air campaign which has been anything but relentless. then immediately turns to we need to be open, we can't stigmatize american muslims which most americans don't do at all. they want a strategy that works. even though they have infiltrated the migrants in europe, we should be more open here to more migrants. so tone deaf to what i think -- >> so this is the most perverse

anti-american thing i have ever heard from a american president. he doesn't explain why we have a moral obligation, how it will fit the country, how it fits into the fight against isis, but we have to do it and it's our fault and we're bigots if we don't. >> i think he's tugging up on our heart strings and is there a way to do that abroad rather than here on american soil? why not have safe zones as we had many propose in the weeks following all of these terrorist attacks. your heart goes out to the people who are living in iraq and syria who are in this -- in the chaos, in war torn zones. but i mean, come on. after you have seen what happened in paris two of the suicide bombers, they allegedly came in with a flood of syrian refugees? is that a good idea? >> the united states has helped more people, we have let in more people than any other nation in the world. he's making the case is that in

order to fight isis we need to let in more refugees. >> and what safeguard? >> i don't get it. look at the chaos in europe. any normal person says, whoa, this is an immigration problem, why do we want a part of that? >> it's triggered a vigorous discussion on the campaign trail, amongst donald trump and ted cruz there's a lot of talk and trump had a new foreign policy slogan as to what his response would be like. he said i'm not isolationist, but i'm america first. we have been disrespected, mocked an ripped off for years. we'll be friendly with everybody, but won't be taken advantage of by anybody. this is in response to attacks, but also ted cruz has been relentless after those attacks in trying to define trump as bei being isolationist. >> this is something that trump

has in the latest book. but he talked yesterday about how the idea of boycotting oil from saudi arabia would be a good idea. unless they provide troops or funds to fight isis. saudi arabia was without the cloak of american protection he say, i don't think it would be around. he said that in the new york times. >> well, that is true. it's a new slogan, but also an old slogan, america first, goes back 80 years to the second world war. obviously, most people would agree with this, we should get something back. we should acknowledge that 70 years of a peaceful europe and disarmed germany, we have gotten sothing out of it. >> we didn't know what we'd get after the post world war ii investment. >> yeah. we provided for all the decades but we have got something back. >> you're right. it's on balance a good thing, but what does that look like in the world of international terror. >> breaking overnight, bernie sanders winning big in three states. washington, alaska and hawaii. let's look at the numbers in

washington state. 72.7% of the vote went to bernie sanders. 27.1% to hillary clinton. >> and in alaska, 81% bernie. huge number, 18% hillary. >> and in hawaii, 70 to bernie, 29 to hillary. these are unbelievable numbers and the obvious take away, oh, he's just a joke, he's a boutique candidate, really? why can't she put this guy away. he's an elderly socialist who honeymooned in the soviet union. she's got the most backing ever, what is going on here? >> let's look at the numbers as far as the delegate count though. clinton almost doubles, 1,703 to sanders 985. that's without hawaii. >> but can we put that on that screen. look at the shading on the graphs. the top part of hillary's, dark blue. those are super delegates. those are elected officials who haven't participated in the

process at all. they just decided they're for hillary. there's nothing democratic about it. >> in the democratic party, you're going this is not fair. my vote should count as much as it -- >> look at the super delegates. it's a 300 delegate race without the super delegates, between the two. >> exactly. >> when you're up 75/25 in some of the states red alarm. the only thing that hillary has going for her the old guard. the republican party is in chaos but the democratic party is on the brink of chaos. >> yeah. on to other stories making headlines now. starting with news overnight of war torn syria, the ancient city of palmyra is under control of the syrian government. and overnight siege by russian backed syrian troops forcing isis fighters to retreat. it is considered a major blow for the terror army. palmyra is home to roman era

unseltsling link between money being sent from abroad to smugglers in mexico. the investigation coming after six middle eastern men were arrested cross into the border into arizona. joining us now is arizona attorney general, and his report released -- his office released that report and he has some of the more shocking findings. attorney general, thank you for joining us this morning. >> thank you for having me. >> what are the most shocking numbers in this report? >> we had a meeting with the mexican counterparts here in arizona. we had a broad, vigorous discuss on what we have seen and what we have been able to identify in southern mexico, that is the number one transport point of money coming from the middle east into mexico and then the second highest activity is here along the border between arizona and mexico where we're seeing money being transferred from the

middle east into mexico and into the southern united states. >> so what we saw on the screen are a number of people lines or smuggling routes that you have identified through the report. different avenues of approach to the southern border. you say it comes back to the money. the money trail. who's it going to? >> that's the heart of the problem. because we know that money is coming in. is it being paid to pay the smugglers, the coyotes? is it being used for other purposes? we don't know. because obviously it's cash. it's coming in. these are wire transfers so we don't know what's happening. like i said is this for human tracking or human smuggling purposes, something more nefarious, they're supporting folks who come over here to do us harm? i'm a product of immigration, i'm a first generation american, but this is a national security issue, not an immigration issue. >> absolutely. a porous border is a national

security issue. where is the money coming from? >> i don't want to get into too much because we have several active investigations going on, but these are countries i will say that don't always want good things for the united states or where we have been recently involved militarily or where we know that there are folks fleeing from some of the wars that are going on, the civil wars going on in the middle east. >> sure. based on open source reporting, it looked like afghanistan and pakistan, other countries in the middle east like you said with some difficult backgrounds. money making going to mexico and smuggling. what's your sense of the intentions of the people? the president says we need to be open to more migrants. are they fleeing the war zone? >> well, the problem is that they're breaking law coming into the country. and it should cause all of us concern when we don't know who's coming in, or why they're coming in. as we saw in the recent attacks

some quick headlines on an easter morning. four black hawk helicopters now assisting the fight against the biggest wildfire in the history of the state of kansas. over 620 square miles had been charred so far between kansas and oklahoma. since the fire broke out on tuesday, at least six homes have been destroyed and there's just over 35% contained so far. and then an ice cold surprise for one car dealership in pennsylvania. a mysterious chunk of ice fell from the sky and smashed a new car. they heard a whistling sound before it shattered the windshield. experts suspect the ice came from the airplane flying overhead that broke loose. anna? >> all right, thanks so much.

in 2009, crystal mcdays heart stopped beating for nine minute, she said she went to heaven and stood with god. her best seller "waking up in heaven" was a hit and now she has another book called "chasing heaven." joining me is the author herself and thank you for joining us. >> thank you for having me. >> well, having this amazing experience going to heaven, how does that resonate with you this morning on such a significant day like easter? >> i couldn't have picked a more significant day to come and talk about the love of the god that i met. you know, the whole experience that i had in heaven was centered around the fact that not only does god love us, but he is love. and when i came back, the thing i struggled with the most was that i wanted to still be with him. and yet, here i was, you know, on earth. but what he showed me was that every time we experience love, we're experiencing him.

it became a miraculous journey of all the places we began to find god and heaven right here on earth. >> yeah. the beauty and the earth and the glory in the sky, all that. seeing him in the sunset. facing the sunrise and the sunset. for people who aren't familiar with your initial book, tell us the story. you were in the hospital with pancreatitis, what happened? >> i was a mom, a schoolteacher, i had four children. i woke up with pancreatitis and i went into respiratory arrest. while they performed cpr i st d stood -- i call it the gates of heaven but i stood in the presence of god. and it changed me to the core of who i was. >> well, you say you struggled with being here on earth when you came back. >> right. >> you know, only handful of people have had experiences like you were, they were able to come back and tell the story. so many of us have been on mission trips, you go on a youth retreat or something. you have a mountaintop

experience you're on fire for christ and you bet back to your normal life. did that happen to you at all? >> it did. and here's what i learned is that that's where god places us around each other. you know, when we go on to the streets with the homeless and my husband who served in the army, he puts his arm around a vet that's sleeping on the streets, you see that love, you see christ right there in the midst of that. my girlfriend who took her foster children in -- who tucks her foster children into bed every night, you see christ. he outstretched his arms, he welcomed the jew and the gentile, the righteous and the unrighteous. around we have been chasing him our entire lives. and that's what i love about this journey, is that i didn't have to die. you don't have to die right now and go to heaven to experience god. he's right here among us. >> i'm sure you have had some skeptics who will refute your story. what do you say to them? >> this is the only thing i can

from the river this weekend. the man's body was found inside. rescue efforts were delayed due to strong river currents and the man's name will not be released until the autopsy is performed. robert de niro pulling a controversial film from the tribeca film festival after initially defending it. it's from the cover-up -- a cover-up to conspiracy and it links vaccines to autism. >> and they slice and diced the data in an effort to get rid of that effect. >> oh, my god, i can not believe we did what we did. >> well, he has a son with autism and says the film is no longer contributing to a productive discussion. a majority of science in the film has been discredited. and on the battlefields of afghanistan, they were inseparable. until tragedy struck. both dog and the man were injured by the bomb.

is this the right response? joining us is boris epstein, kristen tate and ryan gerdowsky. great to see you. ryan, do the terrorists win if the president doesn't get to golf? >> no, it would be the greatest thing for the president to respond in a more pragmatic way than saying we believe in freedom and plurality and secularism and these are policies to fight for. he's not doing that and that's a void being left open for the presidential candidates and you can see it in trump and you see it in -- well, less in clinton, but -- >> you see it in bernie sanders. all this whole race is a reaction of course against obama. nobody says that. but it seems true to me. i know you're not allowed to they golfing and dancing after a terror attack is arrogant and stubborn but it does.

>> he did the wave at the baseball game with castro, then he tangoed in argentina. that was his response. he gave 51 seconds to addressing the brussels attack when he gave his speech in cuba. 51 seconds. and he did it in -- in a way that made it seem he didn't want to be talking about it. this is our president. do you remember after 9/11 what the u.k. did? they played the national anthem outside of the queens palace. that was a beautiful moment. this was brussels' 9/11 and he couldn't care less. >> boris, like a lot of my favorite people you're an immigrant to this country, pro immigration. why does the brussels terror attack require us to bring in tens of thousands -- maybe hundreds of thousands of syrian refugees? why is that a national response? it seems demented. >> it seems like using a horrible event for a liberal, crazy benefit and that's what obama is doing. he's had a -- you have a lame duck president acting like a lame duck president for seven or eight years this. this is terrible.

the scene of him doing the wave, dancing, now golfing, american people want to be comforted, right? they want to be comforted and not being told, because this is happening in europe, we need to bring the refugees here. we have seen what it happened to europe, belgium, germany. it seems like there's an ulterior motives. >> i don't want americans want to be lectured by their supercilious president. this is the result of your being a free america. that's the message. ryan to the democratic race which is pretty unbelievable all of a sudden. bernie sanders swept three states. and not just one, now of course they're proportional on the democratic side. by like 80% in the case of washington, alaska and hawaii the other two. by huge, huge margins. why can't hillary put this man away? >> because hillary has no message she cease running on -- i mean, they're slamming obama.

she's running as if george bush is still in the white house. and she really has no new ideas. and no one believes her. she lacks authenticity. she lacks a demeanor that says that she's going to change things for the next eight years. i know a lot of democrats, i'm from new york city, and i know a lot of democrats none of them besides the older ones who are more establishment are for hillary. >> of course. that's the thing. if you look at the number, the democratic voters under 30, i mean, some states two weeks ago it was 90% for bernie sanders. so we spent all of this time, kristen, looking at the drama on the republican side which is real. but the democratic side seems ripe for a similar kind of revelation right now. >> bernie is hillary's little annoying attack chihuahua. he won't get in the way of the nomination, only the fbi can at this point. but i will say he will make it harder for hillary in the general election because bernie has this rabid passion behind

her -- his campaign. hillary has not done that. all the bernie supporters won't be excited to show up for hillary at the poll. i see the millennial posts about bernie. i see people saying, hey, even in this man doesn't get the nomination i'm going to write in bernie on my ballot. >> well, i think a lot of people feel that way. >> all the millennials. >> boris, they're close. within 300 delegates. >> right. >> so why would the democratic party have super delegates which are obviously the fence -- against the idea of democracy? >> this was a commission in the ' 80s to say we'll have the super delegates who are elected officials and the crazy people who nobody knows who they are and they can swing their allegiances.

what was going on? you were standing outside, set the scene for us a little bit. >> well, we were outside in jimmy's car actually, taking a break, sitting down after coming out of the store. and it was quite surreal. the bandit came out, the robber, with a mask on his face. muhammad, the owner, said, he robbed me with a knife, put it to my neck. jimmy bolted out of the driver's side, and i left the passenger side. it was instinct, first nature to go for it. >> just boom, boom. jimmy, how about you? what made you decide to take action? i think if i was in the situation i would have gone, maybe i'll call 911. i wouldn't have jumped in to apprehend the suspect. what made you jump in? >> i heard a friend ask for help. we saw muhammad, we had just left the store. he screamed help, he robbed me, catch him. so i looked at danny and said,

come o let's go. i jumped out, and we chased him down. we wanted the neighborhood, a couple of our wives' friend -- friends' wives were there. we knew that this guy would be back. we wanted to hold him until police got there. >> helping a friend. >> yeah. he said -- use said in your statement, too, a member of the community you want to help out. you think about the fact this guy's got a knife. you talk about instinct. it looked like a heck of a takedown. have you done something like this before? >> years ago. in football. >> a little gridiron training. >> how thankful was the owner that you helped him out? >> he was really appreciative. you don't realize what's going on until it's over. then it got over, everybody was safe. the police came. they did a great job. the city was right there. they got -- they got the person, they took him away. no one was hurt. we got a bad guy off the street.

hillary clinton. bernie sanders sweeping three states overnight, and putting superdelegates on the notice. we've got the latest. then, calling all counselors. the emory university students who flipped out over trump chalk drawings on campus may need an extra session this morning. we've got the latest sketches that will have them cowering. mornings better with friends on this special morning. and we start out with a fox news alert. americans identified. authorities confirming missing kentucky couple stephanie and jason shultz were killed in the brussels airport bombing. >> this as police across europe rounded up five suspects overnight connected to the deadly attacks. >> we're learning new details on the so-called man in white. you remember him from this video. fox news foreign affairs

correspondent has the latest from brussels. greg, what can you tell us? >> reporter: happy easter to you and our viewers. it's cloudy here, but it's not keeping people from the terror attacks behind us. this as we're learning more about breaks in the investigation this week. police think they have the other airport bomber, the man seen in white in this surveillance photo with two other suicide bombers. it was thought he fled the scene. luckily his bomb in his suitcase didn't go off. they think his name is fay as -- faysal cheffouri. he is charged with terrorist murder. sadly, it's been confirmed two american americans have been killed. 30-year-old justin shultz and his wife, 29-year-old stephanie. from tennessee and country

respectively. both loved exploring europe. we're learning that they were at the airport to drop off their mother who had visited for a week. she safely got through security. can you imagine what it was like for her? maybe she was at a duty-free shop and hears a huge explosion coming from the departure side of the terminal, and she knows her loved ones are there. terrible. along with two unidentified americans we learn good that were killed on friday -- learned about that were killed on friday, bring it to four americans killed. 31 killed, 270 injured including 12 americans injured. many suffering severe burns. many literally had their eardrums blown out -- especially in the metro. that blast must have been deafening. one more note about the investigation. it is expanding european-wide. we learned of another arrest today in italy. a man there thought to be tied to the attacks here and in paris. and apparently his job was smuggling in the terrorists using the massive refugee flow

coming from syria and turkey. so yet another danger. i'm going to step aside as we close out and show you the scene here. the organizers of a paris -- of an anti-terror march and demonstration had to heed the call of the government officials today. they said do not have it today. we're too busy with the investigation. too good with the security. we can't have it. so there is no formal march. informally, even on this easter sunday, hundreds and hundred of people coming out to pay their respects. back to you guys. >> greg, thank you very much. i was reading an interview with a doctor who was treating some of the victims there, who was a former military doctor. he said the injuries were consistent with, you know, the bombs and shrapnel and all of that that he's experienced in war zones. seeing it on women and children was just even harder. >> it's just horrible. there's only one reason it's happening. this is the legacy of 50 years of europe's immigration policy and the refugee resettlement policy from the middle east. i don't think anybody doubts

that. the president of the united states, barack obama, in his radio address yesterday said our response, the american response to what just happened in belgium, needs to be more resettlement of refugees from the middle east. here's part of what he said -- >> as we move forward in this fight, we have to wield another weapon alongside our air strikes, our military, and our counterterrorism work and our diplomacy. and that's the power of our example. our openness to refugees fleeing isil's violence, our determination to win the battle against isil's hate and violent propaganda, a distorted view of islam that aims to radicalize young muslims to their cause. >> i don't think there's anything more harmful you could do to america, i really don't. i think this is the last lesson any normal person would draw from what happened in brussels. i don't understand this. it almost seems calculated to make the country weaker. >> also in paris. two of the suicide bombers reportedly came in falsely, under false pretenses, with a

flood of syrian immigrants. we heard that isis has passport printing machines. how are you even sure the documents they have are correct? >> it's a european-wide jihadist network. they've expanded the migrant crisis. we did a segment about the southern border being exploited pie folks from the middle east with who knows what nefarious intentions. yet our president time and time again breaches e preach-- preact our sins and says to let in refugees who are not properly vetted, while playing the threat of terrorism. saying we've had military expert on after military expert. >> americans are, compassionate. we want to help. these people are victims. we want to help them. is there a better way, is there a better way than bringing them to american soil? >> some are, of course. it's a tragic situation in syria for sure. why is every terror attack an opportunity to lecture america on its moral shortcomings? look, the president has one main

job. that's to protect the country. there's no way to argue that letting in tens of thousands of syrian refugees is protecting the country. it's just -- that doesn't make sense. >> no. he's going to something, he ideologically believes in. >> protecting the country is not just one -- >> the terror attacks in paris and belgium, remember the mob that was going on -- >> of course. >> some were asylum seekers. >> the discussion has created a firestorm of discussion on the republican side, amongst candidates. donald trump and ted cruz both obviously going after the obama administration, bawls at each other on -- but also at each other on what it should look like. this is what donald trump said in "the new york times," "i'm not an isolationist, but i am america first. we've been disrespected, mocked, and ripped off for many, many years by people that were smarter, secluder, tougher.

we're going to be friendly with everybody, but we're not going to be taken advantage of by anybody." this in response to ted cruz criticizing him for being an isolationist, saying he wants to retreat from the world. there is donald trump's way of fighting back. >> when you agree with his proposals, withdrawing from nato, the net effect is saying i care about the country, that's the first order of business. should be for any u.s. president. i think trump is doing well in spite of a not very-one-run campaign because of the message. >> according to the dallas cowboys 21 trillion debt we have and saying that bad decisions has led to that helps, as well. >> a great message. the question is, what does it look like? >> i completely agree. if you compare it to the preside president, more refugees. look what happened yesterday on the democratic side. bernie sanders is still in the race. boy, is he. there were three states up yesterday -- washington, alaska, and hawaii. bernie beat hillary clinton by all three, by massive, weirdly

huge margins. >> a commanding 70 and 70 and 80%. wow. >> absolute shellacking. >> what does this mean? hillary clinton's got every democratic officeholder in the world, massive war chest, can't put this guy away? >> she's got the superdelegates that have pledged, too. let's look at where we stand. you see the dark blue shaded area on hillary clinton's side. the superdelegates. if you take those away, the lines look even. >> you heard about 1,237. on the republican side, they need 2,383. you take that dark piece away, they're only 250, 300 apart with big states to come where bernie feels he has advantages. it's a much tighter race. superdelegates are going to -- ok'd end up determining this thing, sort of an extra democratic sets -- >> they're party hacks who want to be ambassador to belgium. they're in it for the reward at the end.

it's totally non and anti-democratic. >> you are seeing the same from the democrats and republicans going, i don't know if donald trump can win a general election. i don't know if bernie sanders can win a general election from the democrats. >> can't win an election from prison either. >> a lot of the people who run the democracy aren't in favor of a democracy. on both sides. >> enlightening discussion. ten minutes after the hour. some other stories we're following now. we'll start with this headline. new overnight from war-torn syria news. the ancient city of palmyra is again under control of the syrian government. an overnight siege by russian-backed syrian troops forcing isis fighters to retreat. it's considered a major blow for the terror army which controlled the coveted city since last may. palmyra is home to roman-era ruins which isis destroyed for propaganda purposes during the occupation. three people shot including a police officer outside a tampa brewery. the officer identified as 13-year veteran jose rodriguez, responding to reports of two men in separate cars shooting at one another. upon arriving, all three traded

bullets. the two suspects both died from their wounds. officer rodriguez was airlifted to a hospital and is expected to survive. authorities say his bulletproof vest saved his life. late comedian garry shandling was known for pushing the envelope and deciding nothing was off limits, even his own death. >> what i want at my funeral is an actual boxing referee to do a count. and at five wave it off and say, "he's not getting up." >> this morning, a doctor who cared for him in the past year is refusing to sign his death certificate because he says the comic was in good health and does not believe he passed away from a heart attack. that persistence is prompting an investigation with the los angeles coroner who will give an official report on the cause of death. shandling died on thursday. he was just 66 years old.

protocol for this administration, right. we say this so we don't have to deal with it. we want to make the people believe it. really i think all it's doing is showing exactly what's about to start happening here. europe is closer to them. it's easier obviously because you're not talking about a big body of water between us and them. that's the only difference now. >> absolutely. >> i think this is just -- look, this is a little, small look inside of what we need to be expecting next. if we don't get a good strategy together. >> talk about a strategy. a lot of this spawns from the caliphate in iraq and syria. you're in touch with guys on the ground. what are they telling you about how the fight is going and the nature of the enemy? >> yeah. look, i know i've got friends who are putting it to them now. and look, i asked how do they compare against what we've been fighting the last 12, 13 years. they said these guys are more organized than we could have ever imagined. that scares me more than knowing they're well trained. you can be well trained and

organized and not effective. you can be half trained and organized and -- it's going to be hard to take over. >> and be effective. yeah. they've certainly proven to be more than the jv team. we've heard analysts talking about what our approach should be. some suggested you go in, fight to take them out, or don't do it at all. what kind of approach should we be taking if we truly want to desmight isis -- decimate isis which this administration says it wants to be doing? >> i'm not strategic as far as picking what the strategy is going to be. i think when we start, number one, is america in or out? we can't go in with this half-assed strategy like we did iraq and afghanistan. we get over there, we didn't win right off the bat, we're tired of fighting are. we committed or not committed? the second piece, are we going to change our strategy every time the political office changes up there? i mean,ike either let us do our job or keep us at home. we need to understand that keeping us at home, that this is

continues in chicago. mayor rahm emanuel rejecting all three finalists in the search for the city's new police chief. now instead, he will choose the replacement for now. emanuel asked the city's chief of patrol, eddie johnson, to fill the spot in the interim and asked the police board to conduct a new search. ex-superintendent gary mccarthy was fired in december, if you'll remember. this after one of his officers, jason van dyke, was charged with murder in the shooting death of teenager laquan mcdonald. skiers caught in an avalanche. the scary event caught on camera. look at this. >> whoa! >> this video coming out of vail, colorado. you see white piles covering the camera lens as they try to dig out. the video was released as a warning to skiers. miraculous miraculously, everybody was okay. do you remember this picture, sad paul-paul?

easter celebrations allow us to focus on the hope of the holiday. joining us in studio, fox news religion contributor, father jonathan morris. please give us hope now. this is tough. >> well, risking being superficial here, but when i saw the lamb chops on the grill, i thought -- >> which we ate. >> i -- hopefully afterwards i will. you know why lamb on easter, right. this is the message of hope. lamb on easter because remember john the baptist looked at jesus as he was walking and said, behold the lamb of god who takes away the sins of the world. jesus was the lamb of sacrifice for us. with all of this evil going on, all the sadness going on, jesus said, i know this is going to happen. i know you will abuse free will. that great gift to love with free will, and you're abusing it. the suffering that you deserve, i will be the lamb of sacrifice, i will go to the cross. of course, it didn't end there. it wasn't just that god is dead and actual t's all over.

that would be the ultimate tragedy. rather, today we celebrate that jesus rose from the dead. that the apostles went and mary ran to the tomb and found an empty tomb. that means there is hope. if you believe what jesus said and what people witnessed. >> he t didn't end there. the hope is for the rest of us that it doesn't end here. >> that's right. when we look at life and see a longing for love. that longing is not, hey, i want to love for 30 years, 50 years, i want to be loved for 50 years and that's it, no. the human heart longs to be loved forever and to love forever. i think that's as birds have wings, they were meant to fly. we have a heart that was made for eternity for god. i think that our longings represent that reality behind it. >> father, obviously we live in a fallen world, and the news we see each day. how should on this easter christians be thinking about the world we live in and engaging with it? >> i think it's a question of doing it in our own lives.

the people you run into. decide that you're going to be hope for them. decide that you're going to share the joy even if you don't feel it. you'll see how it comes back. you know, i gave the sermon last night, my homily. i ended with gps, you know, you take a gps to get someplace now. gratitude, prayer, and share the joy. gps, gratitude, prayer, conversation with god, and s, share the joy. i think it's a simple way. we can't say just make it all rosy. but in our little world, we can make a difference. >> why start with gratitude? >> i think we don't recognize all the good blessings, the blessings god has given us, we're just going to focus on the negative. and we won't be able to have that joy. gratitude is humility, recognition that i'm not god, and i'm not going to create everything perfect around he. but when we're -- around me. but when we're recognizing all the good, we're humble enough to see also the hope that is to come. >> quickly, can you help us make

sense of this terrible tragedy we saw in brussels. when things like that happen, when there's natural disasters, when bad things happen to good people, some people have a hard time with their faith and go, why would god let this happen. >> why i explain it? no. what i can do is tell you that these were choices that individuals made. they used their free will to do evil, evil, evil. and there are consequences, otherwise there would be no free will. and we have that free will to do good. god gave it to us in order to love instead to have hate. these people use it to hate. and god said, i'm not going to make your free will go away, but i'm going to have a solution to it. that is the resurrection. it's not a perfect answer. i don't have one. i wish i did. it's -- i believe it, i believe that answer. and i believe there is great hope. >> you're an honest man. and not a glib person either. >> no. >> nice to see. >> a great answer. gratitude, spread the joy -- >> and prayer. gps. >> we're grateful for you. >> let's go get some rack of lamb. lamb of god.

film. this film works on an action level. i thought henry cavill did a great job. and my biggest problems of the movie were jesse idenberg as lex luther was not the best choice. >> i was seeing an interview that they did with yahoo! ben affleck is sitting here like this and trs -- there is this viral video of him sitting in silence. why do the critics not like him? >> i think zach snyder has always been a very decisive --

divisive film maker, some critic just don't enjoy zach snyder's films. a lot of those critics are my friends and colleagues. we have different tastes in movies. i'm a big fan of action film. a critic he's review is their personal opinion. >> you look at the from the perspective of people who just love movies. how is it doing at the box office? >> they say it's going to garner $170 million in the box office. there's nothing wrong with going to a film and appreciating a fun action movie and staying away from like oscar-winning type scripts. it's a fun action movie. it's like fast and fewer --

this surveillance video. our correspondent is live in brussels with the latest. we've been coming to you all morning from in front of the makeshift memorial to the victims of the terror attack. i'm going to step aside and show you the scene now. the crowds have been building into the morning and into the afternoon. the sun is out right now and they are standing alongside the flowers and the messages relating to the victims. what you don't see in this shot, guys, is serious, heavy, military trucks, all the streets leading into it, along with police and soldiers. obviously, authorities think that any terrorists wanted to strike out just one more time, this would be a good place to do it. they are making sure sure that doesn't happen. let's get to the investigation you were mentioning. an important break possibly in the probe on the attacks on tuesday. police think they have the other airport bomber, the man seen in

that light jacket with two other suicide bombers. it is thought that he fled the scene. his name is given as faycal cheffou. he is charged with a couple of items, including terrorist murder. a little bit more on the sad news that you mentioned. yes. two more americans confirmed dead. 30-year-old justin shults. 29-year-old stephanie shultz, his wife. they originally come from both tennessee and kentucky. they were working for companies here. they just loved apparently every week to hop a plane and go explore different places in europe. they were at the airport dropping their mother off who had been staying for the week in their home here in brussels. she was through security and she is safe, but it just must have been horrible for her. now, along with two other unidentified americans that we reported on our friday, we

believe are killed, this could be four dead, and folks there's a little bit of change up in the totals now. officials are now saying that there were -- 31 dead. that they have been giving include three attackers. in fact, there were 28 victims. they have upped the total of injured up to 340. 12 of those are americans at least. >> thanks. >> what a sad story and what a terrifying story. i think everybody senses and some president hall candidates have said this may come here. things that happen in europe tend to move here. americans are really looking to be reassured. in his weekly radio address, president obama rather than reassuring the country said in order to fight terrorism, we need to move tens of thousands of syrian refugees into this country. here's exactly what he said yesterday. listen. >> as we move forward in this

we're going to augment this easter with some quick headlines. a deal has been reached to raise california's minimum wage to $15 an hour. it would give the state the largest minimum wage pay rate in america by far. it must now go through the state legislature which is entirely dominated by democrats. specific of the plan have not been released yesterday -- yet. we'll bring them as we discover what they are. delta flights could be grounded this week if pilots are forced to walk off the job. or decide to. a fierce showdown coming to a head this week between the airline and the airline pilots union. their contract is set to expire. the deadline ends march 31st. pilots are looking to add profit sharing to their contracts after delta posted record profits last year. in this heated election year, many are hoping change will come from a new president, but our next guest is asking

you have all this anger. what does it look like when you have a presidential campaign in the middle of a season where ordinary people are mad at their leaders? last night gave us a sense of that. bernie sanders, 74, a socialist facing off against hillary clinton in three states, hawaii, alaska, and washington state. he didn't just beat her. he crush her in all three. 80% in thrask. this from a guy they should have put away months ago. what the heck is going on? >> it's showing her vulnerability in a general election should she become the nominee. >> as we've noted, this is a real race. you take the super delegates out of it. >> we've got a graphic. >> it's a stacked deck they put on top of it. this is a 200, 300 delegate race. without those super delegates, she's barely above 7 1100. this is a real race. >> every account of this takes into account the super delegates. they are all just there because they want to be ambassador to

belgium. they are just party hacks. they have never been elected. they have no role actually in the primary other than to keep the people from voicing their opinion. that can't last. >> i think they are also siding with her because they think she can win in the general election. and on the republican side, you are seeing the same thinking, donald trump has got this populist moving going -- movement going but can he win against hillary clinton? meanwhile, we have a college from emery college in atlanta? >> the philosophy of school room in one generation because the philosophy of government in the next. >> so somebody at emery last week made a chalk drawing of donald trump on the sidewalk. how did they respond? they dipped into emergency funds for counselling by those who felt endangered by a chalk

islam. it's not islamic terror. remember, we go back to the ft. hood shooting, that was workplace violence and despite overwhelming evidence, despite historical evidence, despite demonstrated contemporary evidence around the world, despite the ongoing slaughters, president obama cannot admit he's wrong. it's been painful for us, tucker. there are interesting historical parallels. we've got to tell you a very quick story. in the year 1900, a ship from china brought bubonic plague to san francisco, the city fathers wouldn't admit the plague was there. they refused to admit there was plague in san francisco for years. as a result, no quarantine and it spread to ground squirrels and rodents and now there's plague endemic in our southwest. that's what obama did. he would not address the plague of islamic terrorism. wouldn't quarantine it.

exporting them to another place, to another culture. it doesn't make any sense at all, quite frankly, and, you know, again, we need to use some common sense. if they want to be in their own country and if being in their own country is more comfortable for them and it's safer for us and less expensive and less risky, why not do that? why do the thing that doesn't make any sense but that is politically correct? >> why is it that president obama is not saying let's do what your plan is? instead he's saying let's bring in more refugees or at least more accepting of the idea. >> i wish i could explain a logical reason for why someone would say that. i can't come up with a logical reason for that, quite frankly. i can only come up with a politically correct reason. >> aren't liberals always telling us how the united nations is the answer to everybody problem? -- every problem. wheres the united nations in all

of this? >> the united nations, i think, in the beginning, was a good idea. i don't think anyone recognized that it was going to become a completely political body, and basically lose its utility in terms of world peace and it needs to be restructured. i think we need to be putting pressure on them or maybe something else needs to be looked at. another situation that is actually relevant to the world today. >> dr. carson, in talking about his america first slogan, donald trump has talked about we pay for things to do things around the world that we oftentimes don't get a benefit from, yet there have been places and engagements like in germany and japan post world war ii where there was a lot of investment. you think americans realize that america should be a leader and engage in the world or is what mr. trump talking about a new form of isolationism, he's
