let us know what you think of the show tonight. don't forget tomorrow night, charles krauthammer. tell me what you think. this is "the kelly file." tonight -- >> we'll who it is. >> the candidates back away from the pledge to support the party's eventual nominee. >> i'm not in the habit of supporting someone who attacks my wife. >> dr. ben carson will react to how it impacts the 2016 race. and tonight, in a "hannity" exclusive -- >> got too much money. >> he's entirely un-american. >> he has to be respectful to everyone. >> we take you inside an anti-trump protest and expose the left wing agitators. >> bernie sanders, 120%!
10:01 pm
>> donald trump with a major endorsement. "hannity" starts right here, right now. welcome to "hannity." tonight six days away from the wisconsin primaries and last night 2016 republican front-runner frdonald trump sai he would no longer honor the pledge he signed. >> do you continue to pledge whoever the republican nominee is? >> no, i don't anymore. >> you don't? >> no. >> you won't promise to suppo supposupport -- >> let me just tell you. he doesn't have to support me. i have tremendous support right now from the people. i'm way over 2 million votes more than him. >> i don't want to make people uncomfortable. i don't need their support. >> senator cruz and governor kasich asked the same question and not as blunt as donald trump but they did not say whether they would still honor the pledge. take a look. >> do you still stand by the pledge to support whoever the nominee, even if it's donald trump? >> anderson, as you mentioned, what i said is true.
10:02 pm
i'm not in the habit of supporting someone who attacks my wife and my family. >> so i just have to follow up. if donald trump is the gop nominee, would you support him? >> let me tell you my solution to that. donald is not going to be the gop nominee. we are going to beat him. >> i've been disturbed by some of the things i have seen and i have to think about what my word and endorsement would mean in a presidential campaign so i want to see how this thing fin initials out. >> here with reaction, former 2016 republican presidential candidate, dr. ben carson. he's endorsed donald trump. i'm concerned and i wonder if you are, as well, not that you support donald trump, but things are very personal. for a few days i would argue that the whole campaign on the republican side has been off message. and, you know, if they're going to take this posture, how does that result in unity to defeat
10:03 pm
hillary clinton? >> well, sean, as i've said before, the republicans seem to have a penchant for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory no matter how good things look. they do this. they destroy themselves. and what i would ask each of the candidates, mr. trump, mr. cruz and mr. kasich to consider is the fact when they engage in this type of rhetoric, they drive wedges between their supporters so whoever of the three ends up being the nominee will have a great deal of animosity built up from the supporters of the others and they're not going to want to get behind them. that's going to essentially guarantee a victory by the democrats and if the democrats win they get two to four supreme court picks and an america as we know it will be gone. they have got to think of more than their own personal feelings here. >> what do you think of john boen'hner saying, well, you can nominate anyone you went on the
10:04 pm
floor. paul ryan would be a good choice or the strategy of mitt romney laid out or the rnc head honchos, one in north dakota, one somewhere else basically saying they want a contested convention and the goal right now to prevent the person you endorsed donald trump getting 1,237? how do you feel about that? >> well, i think it would be a colossal mistake and, you know, i'm starting to think that many of the so-called republican establishment, of course, they say there is no such thing. we don't exist but we know they do. i believe that many of them would prefer to have hillary in there than to have donald trump. because she is part of the political establishment. and can be controlled. whereas donald trump cannot be controlled and they're not interested, democrats or republicans, in the ruling class of having somebody that they can't control. >> you know, i'm actually beginning to agree with you.
10:05 pm
i'm getting the sense that there is a desire to, you know, by the way, let me backtrack. there's a desire after conservatives were told to suck it up with john mccain, bob dole, for example, they want to say, oh, all of you voters were wrong in choosing the top two people trump and cruz. you guys were wrong. and so, they're not going to -- behind the scenes, they don't offer the support they normally do to stand back and say i told you so. i'm getting this feeling more and more. >> absolutely. which virtually guarantees a loss. and somehow we have got to get them to understand that if you put bernie sanders or hillary clinton in there, what is going to happen will be so much worse than anything they could imagine with whichever of the republicans they don't like. think need to consider their children and their grandchildren. but on steroids.
10:06 pm
>> well said. dr. carson -- go ahead. >> remember what i said about hillary. >> yeah. i do remember. all right. thank you, dr. carson. appreciate it. here with reaction contributor tucker carlson, senior correspondent geraldo rivera. look. i don't know any other way to say this, geraldo. there's a circular firing squad emerging. >> sure is. >> it is ugly and as ugly as it's ever been and just elects hillary clinton an i'm saying this today. >> no doubt about it. >> so that they can stop what they're doing. what are your thoughts? >> my thought is that talk about rinos. republicans in name only. these guys are obviously filled with more hatred for each other than dismayed at the prospect of a hillary clinton presidency. it is destructive. it is spiteful. it is not helpful. the tone of this campaign has gotten so grotesquely personal
10:07 pm
that i totally agree. i mean, if a guy had -- if i thought -- if i was donald trump and someone was sneaking naked pictures of my wife public or if i was cruz and, you know, they were portraying my wife as someone who's less attractive than the other guy's, you know, this is like, you know, the kind of college or barroom brawl stuff but it's clearly not going to help the democrats and -- the republican republicans, rather. >> stupidity on stilts, tucker. you see any resolution to this? >> well, here's the problem. i agree with ben carson completely. there are republicans in washington who would secretly, maybe not secretly prefer hillary clinton. on foreign policy, just agree with her more and bad for the country. here's a disaster. if the republicans in d.c. successfully wind up installing someone who got few or no votes during the republican primaries as the nominee. why? because it's a attacn attack on idea of democracy itself.
10:08 pm
democracy and free speech two most important concepts in america and the average person believes that the vote matters. it matters. you have some power to affect who governs you. this would be saying, no, the donors choose and that would be deeply destablizing. >> tucker, the amazing thing is that's the plan. >> i know. >> they want to disenfranchise them, usurp the will of the voter. we'll pick for you. >> frankly -- >> renders the votes -- >> be honest. that's the point of the kasich candidacy. and i'm not against governor kasich but let's be real. no possibility of getting the majority and why is he in the race? order to get it himself or fundamentally illegitimate or make the way clear for someone else. come on. >> in fairness, though, one wonders at this point if it's possible but trump and cruz can prevent that. they can stop that. they have enough delegates themselves between them that they could stop that now. >> it's -- >> geraldo? >> trump is the only one who can
10:09 pm
win this nomination it seems to me in this process. i think he will and cruz takes wisconsin and trump will clearly sweep the northeast and i think out here in california trump should prevail but you have a situation and donald trump's base is shrinking. you have the fact that you have these two main rivals who are saying they will not support him or may not support him in the general election. a stunning development. and then you have the whole thing with women and, you know, trump saying that if a woman has an abortion that she should be criminally prosecuted if abortion is outlawed. that's crazy stuff. i know he's retreated or backtracked on it somewhat today. but still, the attitude, the vibe toward trump now is that he's got these angry white blue collar guys and they're facing out and everybody else is against them and can't win the presidency of the united states if that's the main demo. >> what do you think, tucker? last word. >> you can attack trump.

>> we have to end it there. >> that is not true. >> yes, it is, true. radical islamists exist and kill in the name of allah and hijacking your religion. >> to kill the innocent. yeah. if you -- >> prove it. >> the one that says -- the one that says take neither jews or christians as your friends. >> by death. >> following mohammed is what they're doing. following his example. >> we have to leave it there. >> the prophet was the -- >> national border patrol council officially endorsed donald trump for president. this is now the first time the group has ever done so in a presidential primary. presidential primary. you will findmy insurance rates are probably gonna double. but, dad, you've got... welcome back to "hannity." first time in the history, the influential national border council endorsing a presidential candidate in the primary season, that candidate is donald trump. joining us now to discuss that endorsement, the vice president of the national border patrol council, shawn moran and francisco hernandez. shawn, why the first time? what motivated your group to get involved this time? >> well, sean, we think that border security is an important enough issue and that it's a
10:50 pm
clear and present danger to not just our nation but to our communities that we needed to get serious and we needed to endorse a candidate that's going to take border security seriously and put it front and center. >> yeah. i clearly think it is our number one national security issue. you know, >> i'm okay with building the wall. >> here is the problem. >> i understand having been down to the border so much, people want jobs and opportunity america offers and i'm in favor of people coming legally after we have an opportunity to vet them. right now, there are 95,000 americans out of work. illegal immigrants compete for jobs and importantly, i'm sure you'd agree is that we can't have isis and other terror groups crossing that border that want to bring harm to towns and cities right? >> i agree with you but an

endorsement by a union doesn't make us any safer, they care who is congress, congress apportions mrn. god bless them, they have a right to endorse anyone they want. but it's not a game changer. it's not going to get donald trump elected over hillary clinton. it's not going to make a difference but they have a right to express their opinions, nothing wrong with that. we're going to have to legalize 100,000 mexicans at the wall. >> i've been to drug houses, floor to ceiling drugs. i sat in an intelligence briefing. 642,000 crimes committed against texans, that is a tunnel i saw. that the one of the boats i've been on. and i've been -- >> tunnels, taller ladders. >> okay. but i have a chance. those are the drugs i saw. right there. i'm holding it. drugs in a drug warehouse. >> sure. >> and sean, how -- >> you're mixing drugs with

immigration. >> how out of control is this and do you think the american people fully understand the scope of the problem? >> you know, i don't think they understand. >> stop using drugs. stop using drugs. then drugs don't come. >> let sean talk. >> thanks, sean, i think the american people don't understand the full problem. we have a president who has appointed a commissioner of customs and border protection who is more political than ever, carving out our immigration laws by policy. border patrol agents are letting everyone we catch out of the door. that is not border security. we need a president who understands the problem, who is going to put the right political appointees in there and let border patrol agents go out and enforce the law. >> it is true, gang members are part of those arrested and some people that cross the border illegally they murdered innocent americans and rapes have
10:53 pm
occurred. that is all true, right? >> we're up against the most violent criminals in the western hemisphere gang members are trying to get across border. they've killed border patrol agents and no other candidate is going to take that seriously as donald trump. >> and francisco, i have to believe you want the american people to be safe. we can figure out an immigration system to allow legal immigration from mexico. you know? you know how people from el salvador and nicaragua are treated in mexico if they're in the country illegal? >> you're right. in mexico is tough border endorsement. my ex-border patrol friend, just because a union endorses, it's doesn't mean he voted for that

person. they're going against the boss. yes, we they had to protect the border but the drug dealers and cartels are going to get across by submarine, ladders and tunnels. it's not going to fix the problem. we all know that. >> oh, no. it will be effective. coming up we have a important question of the day and need your help, that is straight ahead. your path to retirement may not always be clear. but at t. rowe price, we can help guide your retirement savings. so wherever your retirement journey takes you, we can help you reach your goals. call us or your advisor t. rowe price. invest with confidence. each day is a game of chance. feels like i wanted to put the odds in my favor. so my doctor told me about botox®, an fda-approved treatment that significantly reduces headache days for adults with chronic migraine, 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting 4 hours or more. it's shown to prevent headaches
