america's election headquarters i'm eric shawn. >> i'm arthel neville. good to see you this sunday morning. donald trump is not taking anything for granted. today's event in the big apple follows a massive rally at upstate new york yesterday where trump hit his main campaign themes with supporters in his home state. >> after this week, when he gets wiped out in new york, which he will -- he gets wiped out. he no longer has a road to the nomination. he will no longer, after this weekend, because it should be -- it should be pretty thorough. because who would -- after he talked about new york values and talked about it in such a disgusting way, who in new york would vote for this guy? and who in new york would vote for the other guy, who is in favor of the nafta? so you can't -- i'm sorry, folks. you have only got trump! >> all right. so senior -- our senior national correspondent john roberts is in

but that doesn't mean that our government should forfeit its responsibility, particularly when you think of the precedent that we would be seth. it may make us feel good or let's really be honest here. it may have some temporary political advantage in today's context, but it will cause harm to america beyond calculation in the number of lawsuits that our citizens could face in other countries down the road. >> finally quickly, what do you think will happen? >> i don't think the bill will pass. i think the president would veto it in any case. as i say, given all this fuss, let's declassify the 28 pages. get them out there. >> we'll see if the president does do that after his trip in about 60 days. we certainly will be on top of this. ambassador, always good to see you, as always, thank you for your inviting. >> thank you. for now, all eyes on new york ahead of tuesday's primary. let's go now to senior national correspondent john roberts live in staten island with the latest

these reports of a close encounter are not consistent with reality. they claim the pilot made visual contact with the u.s. plane and then changed course. but the u.s. european command strongly disagrees, they believe it was a dangerous maneuver that has the potential to escalate tensions between two countries with a very tense relationship. families trying to take in a movie under the stars get quite a shock. the epic fail that led to this soggy disaster. and as the republican candidates go into overdrive with just 48 hours to go until the new york prime, will donald trump pull off a big win in his home state? he's looking forward to a fall matchup with hillary clinton. coming up, new york congressman peter king, who is no fan of mr. trump, gives us his take. ♪
