with 845. ted cruz in second with 559 and john kasich with 148. senior national correspondent john roberts is live in hagerstown with the latest on the gop race. john? >> reporter: laura, good afternoon to you. about four hours' time donald trump will pull up the famous 757 at the hagerstown airport for one of the famous hangar rallies and ted cruz coming up the big winner on the weekend getting 65 of 94 delegates available at county and state conventi conventions, and these would support him in a second ballot. he got 19 out of 20 delegates in maine. the sole trump delegate put out a facebook post accusing cruz's operatives of being greedy political hul gans and donald trump continues to assail a system that he says is corrupt

path to the nomination, all be it he concedes it's a narrow path. he also said he plans to continue to take the fight all the way to california. now, that's at the very end of the democratic primary calendar. throughout the course of this campaign, one of sanders' signature issues has been income inequality and when asked about this morning why that is, listen how he responded. >> because poor people don't vote. that's just a fact. sad reality of american society and that's what we have to trans fo form. we have done a good job bringing young people in and had some success of lower income people but in america today in the last election of 2014, 80% of poor people did not vote. if we can significantly increase voter turnout to young people and working people participated in the process and voter turnout of 75%, this country would be

of the ball if you will in terms of the european economy and it's been a great deal of unrest. you add to that the ongoing discussions about migration and the syrian migration. there were a number of issues he wanted to drill down on with the german chancellor ang la merkel, those protesting, and expected to impact people by eliminating trade barriers but the germans are weary given the shocks by the refooj gee crisis. the president remains confident, he thinks this deal will get done. >> there are people that didn't think with trans pacific partnership, we would be able to give me the authority to move it

merkel made a decision last year to bring in 800,000 refugees from the middle east between 1.5 to 2 million have already come without so much as a buy or leave from partner, countries like greece, bull gar i can't remember, macedonia, seeing migrants coming through. there's been a tragic loss on one ship alone, 500 drowning at sea. more will happen over the summer. europe is not able to handle this problem. >> you talk about this being a fair well tour. remember back in 2008 when he was a candidate for president and gave what many saw as a hopeful forward looking speech in berlin while he was a candidate for president. ambassador, contrast that day to day, what has changed and what is good and what is bad? >> i think the most important

aspect of obama's tenure as president and international affairs in europe and around the world is the decline of american influence, the pulling back of the united states from defending its interest and its friends around the world. we've seen on the continent of europe itself, russia use military force to change international boundaries, something we all said in 1945 we'll never allow to happen again. those boundaries have been changed, countries in eastern and central europe are still under threat and nato alliance is effectively absent from the field. it's a tragedy that's being repeated in the middle east as we've discussed in refugee terms but the expansion of russian power including a new air base. these are simply the concrete reflection of the erosion of the structures of positions of strength and deterrence that the united states and its allies created over decades, when we

were the saudis involved in the 9/11 terrorism attacks against us? soon we may learn the truth. the obama administration is expected to release the secret 28 pages from the congressional 9/11 investigation. those pages have been locked away at the basement of the capitol and could shed light on the terrorists who carried out those attacks. 15 of the 19 were saudi citizens. garrett is live in the washington bureau with more. >> reporter: the secret chapter has been classified for the past 14 years and many people believe

those who are against him will fold. and that sloengs he continues to remain strong and continues to court voters which is what he -- he's the only candidate in the race looking for a voters because he wants the delegate count to get high enough to clear the map. ted cruz and john kasich are looking to sabotage his chance of doing this. they want to bring this to a brokered convention where they can win. so he's going to perform voters in hopes he can get to 1,237 or at least close. >> if he comes up a handful short, let's say under 50, do you have a sense that the republican party will give him the nomination or they will insist on that brokered convention? >> not necessarily without a small fight ahead of the convention. this week this this spring meeting concluding with the rnc,
