words together. in the same interview, boehner reveals he's texting and golfing buddies with donald trump. he thinks donald trump is terrific f. you think john boehner is the kind of leader you want in the republican party, donald trump is your guy. >> john boehner no longer the speaker. paul ryan came out and said i have a good relationship with both of them. when ted cruz said i haven't really spoken to john boehner, maybe 50 words my whole life john boehner actually got into some trouble where he wound up suing jim mcdermott who leaked an audiotape of a conversation back in the '90s between newt gingrich and john boehner, wound up going all the way to the supreme court. his attorney was ted cruz. so they do have a connection that goes back. ted cruz's campaign responded, he was just a junior associate at the time. >> yesterday before one of the big rallies -- they had a huge rally in evansville indiana and

then over to california with 30,000 there, bobby knight sat down with the guy he really looks up to donald trump, and they talked about how their relationship came together. the first thing i asked donald trump was, what about the comments about the speaker calling your main opponent ted cruz lucifer? >> i think it's standard frankly. everybody dislikes him. there's something about him nobody likes. he can't work with anybody. he's a united states senator, working with all of these senators and has virtually no endorsements. the one he most respects in the senate is as you know senator jeff sessions. senator sessions endorsed me four weeks ago. he's got no support. nobody likes him. you can't have that. >> never come out and really endorsed a candidate before but supported him. why did you come out for donald trump? what is it about this businessman that makes you think, i'm ready to do it? >> well, you know, it was not

complex. i consider myself to be more than anything else an american. there's nothing i would rather do in my lifetime than do something to help the united states. what better than to recommend this man as president because there is nobody in the united states presidential history that has come into the presidency or would come into the presidency with the background and the ability that mr. trump has. >> you reached out to donald trump early on. you had no idea if he was going to get one delegate or win this whole thing. what did that mean to you, donald trump, that he reached out to you before you became a front-runner? >> well even before i ran, when i was thinking of running like a year ago, he called. i didn't know bobby. i know him by reputation as the best. i never met bobby. he said i want to endorse you. i said coach, that's so nice i appreciate it.

into the tv station, he was wearing a surgical mask and sunglasses. he claimed he did have a bomb. he did have a flash bomb though. he wanted the tv station to play it live on the air. as for that bomb it turned out to be wires and chocolate bars wrapped in tinfoil. he was shot four times before he was shot and fell to the ground. he's in serious but stable condition. we'll have a live report from the station and tell you what brizzi's father says was on that flash drive. a massive search is now under way in tampa, florida, after four young girls run away from a foster care facility overnight. crews using blood hounds to try to find them. police say the girls ended up sneaking out of a window and they scaled a fence to get away. take look please at the photos on your screen. three of the girls are sisters. the oldest of the girls is 13 years old. the youngest just 4. a staff member noticed they were missing from the beds as the rest of the children slept. that staff member called 911.

the most bizarre story of the morning a fox tv station targeted by man wearing a onesie. >> yeah it sent employees running for their lives. >> joining us right now outside the tv station is megan gillian from our affiliate there in baltimore. it was her station impacted. gillian, good morning. >> reporter: good morning. we are so happy to report that things are quiet outside of our studios here this morning. the shell casings from the shots that were fired they have been cleared up. the candy bar from that fake bomb has been cleared out. the only thing still out there, there's a blue chair. that was given to the suspect, now identified as 25-year-old alex brizzi, by the security guard. what caused brizzi to get up out of that chair and walk out of our station after threatening to blow up the entire building still unclear. but we watched him walk down this path. we watched him ignore commands from all of the officers who

were surrounding this area. we watched him get shot in the middle of the street here. this morning we're starting to understand what might have been going through his mind. we spoke with his father edward. he says his son had recently suffered what he described as a mental break. he had broken up with his girlfriend. says he was found two weeks ago sleeping in a neighbor's yard. police were called. his dad said it took seven officers to subdue him at the time. he was take on the hospital for treatment. the dad says he thought he was better but then just recently he started talking about how he thought the world was going to end in june. and that's possibly what led him here to our station. >> he said that he had a vision from god and that the world was going to end and he thought on june the 3rd. so i think that's probably on a flash drive, something about the end of the world or, you know -- if i had to guess. my wife yesterday when he went out last night, she went down to

he didn't have permission to bomb the taliban just because they were taliban. hello, we have been fighting the taliban for 15 years. much of this starts at the top. much of this starts with the white house, imposing these restrictions for political reasons and they make no sense whatsoever on the ground. no sense whatsoever. >> and we have had three former secretaries of defense under the obama administration all say what bing west just said. the white house is meddling in the battlefield. >> exactly. look the rules of engagement should be clear, concise and simple. every soldier should understand clearly what they are and the authority to engage the enemy should rest with the ground combat commander and there's nothing worse than being a young platoon leader that's under attack, surrounded on all sides. you have to go 200 miles away to a general who's not on the

battlefield with you and then he has to go to the attorney to make sure he has the legal authority to attack. all the while, your soldiers are getting shot wounded and killed on the battlefield. it's not necessary because the commander on the ground has all the authority he needs. he's got the best picture of what's happening. and the decision whether or not to engage should rest with the ground combat commander. brian, we invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in american -- young american combat leaders. they're the best the world has ever known. we should trust them to do the right thing when the rubber meets the road. >> or trust the military people to do the right thing. we have the iraq afghanistan and the syrian operation to fulfill. what do you want to hear from the presidential candidates to make you feel as though they get the challenge? >> well brian, we can't win these wars. we can't. we can just keep the fight away from our shores, but what i'd like to hear from them is that they will allow our military commanders to give them the
