the economy? >> 67 percent they were very worried 25 percent some what worried or 1 percent said they are not worried at all. i think the most important take away only 7 percent said they are not concerned about the economy. with this a very, very small number suggesting that all of the messaging on obama's administration saying hey guys the numbers are good the numbers are strong. it is not resinating with people. donald trump's message of making america great again is the priority. >> someone who isn't a politician that's what they loved about donald trump. >> tell us about the religious vote. >> donald trump got 50 percent of evangelical 43 percent for

cruz and 5 percent for kasich. the number is growing and growing. a lot of people are saying how could this happen. early on we saw he have gel cal vote was going for cruz and people said it is most important someone shares my values but there was a shift somewhere along the way. that happened recently and it has been breaking for trump. >> what about the republican party, the campaign. do voters feel like that has divided them or united them? it has been pretty toxic. >> it has been a really toxic time. 40 percent say it energized the party. this is really important to understand. i think that, yes, it has been a divided party. 50 percent are saying they want an outsider. they want a new day they are expecting some division and that is important to understand.

now cruz has dropped out. there is opportunity to come together on the republican side. there's a runway between now and the general election where there can be unity. if we can get the never trump movement to start rallying together saying we understand what the people are saying, there could be some energy. the division you can even see the tone in donald trump's speech last night saying he was a great spet tore. >> he cleaned it up didn't he? >> it was a complete pivot. donald trump now his job is to start uniting the party. we will see what will happen. certainly you saw the rnc came out last night with his statement saying he's the presumptive nominee and it is time to step in line. >> what about the democrats, how do they feel about their campaign? >> this -- 73 percent say the party has energized. 23 percent say it is a divided party. this is a fascinating number.

this number is actually growing on the democratic side not drinking. i think the upset is indicative of saying this isn't over. obviously on the left they are more together than we have been on the republican side. but certainly they are not all together yet. they don't have a clear answer yet outside of the super delegates and bernie has no sign of going anywhere. it will be interesting to watch how things keep going on that side. i think they have to come together as well. >> over the entire campaign process it has been just something else. >> this year i think what has been so fascinating is because there has been so much attention on each primary, each primary mattered so much it really illuminated the process. people are paying so much attention and saying there has to be a better way. some of the exit polls you have seen there is such dissatisfaction with federal government with how things are done now. so i think we really are calling for change. >> thank you so much lee carter.

come on the scene if you are not a physician? what did you do if you see somebody that's submerged? >> that's a wonderful question. summer months, we'll see drowning victims both at the poolside and beachside. most importantly we stay calm and make sure the scene is safe. the most important thing to do is to make sure they are safe so they don't become another victim. >> how do you make sure they are breathing properly? >> the first thing you want to do is set the vic and you want to open their airway. you want to look at the patient if their chest wall is breathing or air is moving out. we want to put them on their side. the most important thing is airway. what we do is we simply thrust the jaw open and that in and of itself will relieve the tongue off the back of the throw -- throat and allow the person to

breathe. >> in the hospital or ambulance, what did you do? >> they are trained at different levels. at the very basic level, they will support the breathing of the patient to continue to help them bring them to the hospital. at the advanced life support level, we have very sophisticated machinery now in nassau county one of which is a bipap machine or c-pap machine. it stands for continued positive air pressure. this machine can actually push the fluid away and allow the air sacs to exchange that oxygen. >> now you are in the hospital, that's where i understand more than half the time serious complications ensue, brain damage, even death. what can you do in the hospital to stabilize the patient and get a better outcome? >> certainly, as we get into the hospital in the continuum of air continues, the patient is

obviously changing. their respiratory status may be getting more compromised. time is not on our side. we have more sophisticated tools. we may use the bipap machine and bridge them in fact they are breect -- breathing. if they are becoming more labored, we may do intubation. it's very neat. we're going to have them open their mouth and we can see right down into their airway and pass the tube and breathe for them as we put them at ease. >> a lot of time with heart problems as well, rhythm problems? >> absolutely. we see a lot of these same modalities, these same tools being used for people with heart failure which is a similar phenomenon with fluid on their lungs. in addition to people with arrhythmias. >> brain damage? >> certainly, ventilation or proper oxygenation to the brain

is very important. >> if there's one thing you want to tell parents out there to keep their children safe, what would that be? >> the most important thing and i believe this personally is prevention, make sure your children are safe around the pool area, pool areas are safe. swimming lessons and comfort around the water. >> life jackets. >> life jackets are important but they are not a substitute. and they are not always available and a child may be curious. waterproof your child by putting them in the water and not be afraid of the water. >> this is very important. be very careful for your kids. doctor siegel i have a 7-year-old and 4-month-old at home. at what age should i be putting my child in swimming lessons? i started at 1 1/2.
