there is a lot going on there. go to my facebook page and also stay with fox for updates on this egyptair crash. good night. see you monday. ♪ ♪ hi, i'm eric bolling, for bill o'reilly. thanks for watching special factor 2016. let's get right to the top story how the crash of egyptair flight 804 is becoming a central issue in the battle for the white house. both donald trump and hillary clinton are blaming the crash on terrorism while also trying to position themselves as the best terror warrior. here is what we know so far about the crash. search teams have found plane wreckage. human remains and personal belongings in the mediterranean sea but so far no black box. investigators still don't know what the cause of the

plane to go down but now there may be a new clue, smoke alarms were reportedly detected going off on board moments before the crash and terrorism is still not being ruled out. trump was the first to call it that. >> what just happened about 12 hours ago? a plane got blown out of the sky. and if anything -- if anybody thinks it wasn't blown out of the sky, you're 100 percent wrong, folks. >> well, chris, it does appear that it was an act of terrorism, exactly how, of course, the investigation will have to determine. but it -- once again, shine as very bright light on the threats that we face from organized terror group. isis and other networks of terrorists have to be hunted down and defeated. >> hillary then went on to blame trump for creating terrorists with his proposed muslim ban. >> when you say we are going to bar all muslims, you are sending a message to the muslim world, and you're also sending a message to

the terrorists. because we now do have evidence. we have seen how donald trump is being used to essentially be a recruiter for more people to join the cause of terrorism. >> trump responded in a statement saying hillary's comments just prove she is not qualified to be president. as we reported, new poll shows registered voters trust trump over clinton to do a better job fighting terror by 52% to 40%. today after getting the endorsement of the national rifle association, trump delivered a rousing tough on terror speech saying if the good guys had guns during the san bernardino attack they might have been able to fight back against the terrorists. >> they walked in, no guns on the other side. they had the guns and they killed 14 people, many wounded, many in the hospital to this day, but they wounded many. but they killed 14 of their co-workers. and the co-workers thought they were friends. so there is something going

on. now, i tell you again, same story. if we had guns on the other side, it wouldn't have been that way. i would have, boom. [ laughter ] if we had guns on the other side. [cheers and applause] >> it wouldn't have been that way. >> joining us now from tampa to weigh in adam goodman a g.o.p. strategist and from d.c. a former state department official with the obama administration. adam, you saw that trump, very, very rousing speech and that line, i would have gone boom. boy, he got a big round of applause for that one. >> well, i will tell you. you are seeing in the square off what this election is all about. it's not cerebral election, it's visceral where we want not scripted replies, we want spontaneous reaction to what we're feeling. i love the words that donald trump, eric, used when he first tweeted out when fortunately our hearts go out to the families by the way in this strategy he first tweeted out when are we going to be strong, smart and vigilant that's striking to the core. i think, when it's all said and done, you are about to

see a new theme emerge in this campaign, i like to see it this way, you may not always like what trump says. you are going to love what he is going to do for america. he will bring that crowd at the nra feels it he is commanding the stage. is he controlling the conversation, and i think everybody's ears are open to a new kind of leadership that is on display with donald trump. >> okay, david. so, hillary clinton has said she is like barack obama. she basically wants to run as a third term of barack obama on many issues. so, if she does that and then you have that juxtaposition of barack obama's being weak on terror. he can't even say islamic terrorism and donald trump come out right out of the box saying this is a terror attack, isis, we're coming after you, it's got to stop. i think that really does define the difference between the two candidates, hillary and donald. >> look, hillary clinton has four years of experience as secretary of state. donald trump is woefully unprepared to be commander and chief. i say that not just because he hasn't studied foreign policy issues. he doesn't care about foreign policy issues and he

hasn't put people around him who know foreign policy issues. though all of those things are true. i say that because shockingly ignorant things he has said about foreign policy. yesterday, the prime example, he said that this tragedy, the egyptair tragedy was terrorism. but there are no facts yet to suggest it was terrorism. >> i'm not sure it matters whether it's terrorism, david. i think -- i don't know if it matters if it ends up being terror or not, when matters or what's resonating among the americans we show the poll 52% to 40% they believe donald trump would be tougher on terror was resonating is that he is perceived to be tough on terror, islamic terrorism. let me ask you something. >> eric, he called it terrorism before anyone -- >> david, on the left you talk about hillary's experience, she is far more experienced than donald trump. i would argue that experience doesn't even equal qualifications, just because she has experience doesn't mean she is qualified to lead a fight against terror that tankly hasn't been fought for 8 years. >> look, you can criticize

hillary clinton for 2008 for foreign policy experience and not knowing the issues, but after four years of secretary of state meeting with hundreds of foreign leaders, conducting many trips abroad, and year seeing our foreign policy, during a time of mostly peace and prosperity and effective foreign policy and reaching out to countries that used to be enemies and making them friends, she has a strong record on foreign policy and she has a strong command issues. >> four dead americans, the ambassador and three of his people in benghazi. there is a deal on the table that most americans think was a terrible deal with iran. what is her foreign policy legacy, adam? >> eric, i mean, make the list. iran, iraq, syria, yemen, isis. the aggressiveness of the russians, benghazi, it goes on and on. she is defending a record of foreign policy that i think has led this country into perle and a more defenseless position as opposed to what

donald trump is instead of defending, he is demanding what must be done. i think we are looking for a strong, determined, clear-headed leadership at the top and i think the world is looking for america to stand up and be there again. i think we haven't had that for the last eight years. i would love to have a debate on hillary clinton's foreign policy credentials. i think she has a lot of splaining to could as they say. the biggest thing in this election we don't want to hear the guilded responses and the poll tested dribble. give it to us straight. let us know how you feel. that's where donald trump is scoring right now. >> in a strange met for. strange situation today, almost exactly the same time going on, donald trump was accepting the endorsement of the nra while there was a lunatic, could have been a terrorist going at the white house with a gun. he gets shot. listen, i have got to tell you, you are donald trump taking that meanwhile this guy -- where is president obama during this whole time? he is golfing. >> eric, accepts an endorsement from the nra has

and struggling with oic. in the election 2016 segment tonight, the trust deficit for hillary clinton and donald trump according to the new fox news poll just 31% of registered voters think hillary clinton is honest and trust worthy. 66% do not: 44% trust donald trump, 57% do not. new cbs news poll finds that 64% of registered voters say that hillary clinton is not trust worthy. donald trump also comes in at 64%. will this matter with voters come november? with us a democratic strategist and pollster and ashley pratt senior political reporter at lifezette. start with you, four years the trust worthy number. it seems to be hanging out very elevated 64, depending on the poll, 64 to 70%.

donald trump's scorched earth strategy against hillary clinton. trump is holding nothing back, going after both bill and hillary clinton. just this week on hannity, trump called out bill clinton over his controversies with women, including an accusation of rape. mrs. clinton was asked about that. >> do you ever feel compelled to defend your honor, the honor of your husband? >> no. >> with statements that he is making that go to the core of the relationship? >> no. not at all. i know that that's exactly what he is fishing for and, you know, i'm not going to be responding. >> but will her nonresponse strategy work? remember, trying to stay above the fray didn't work for trump's other g.o.p. opponents. joining us now to analyze from washington ned ryan the republican strategist and here in new york democratic strategist bernard whitman.

is this a smart strategy to take the high road for now against donald trump? >> well, here's the thing. first of all she has to put away bernie sanders but, you know, looking at donald trump, i have to say as republicans, regardless of what you think of donald trump and who he is and what he says and it's refreshing as a republican to see somebody, see a republican on attack, not defending, not making excuses but a full-fledged ears back attack. i think it's been very interesting to see over the last week that he has made it very clear that everything is on the table. everything will be on the table. there will be no holds barred and i think this is going to be problematic for hillary as she pivots toward the general. she is not the greatest candidate. let's face it she is not bill clinton. she has feet of clay. >> she herself will tell you i'm not the politician that my husband is. >> exactly. i think the fact that donald trump will attack from every different angle i think eventually it will get to her and throw her off. it's a good strategy. never defend always attack. >> hillary at what point

>> everything changes. game changer. >> she is going to be able to unite the party. >> bernie sanders is out and hillary clinton and trump game changer for you. >> i'm not going to disagree with bernard. i think this is going to be ugly campaign one of the ugliest. i think donald trump is better suited for this than hillary clinton. much more nimble and better on the attack. hillary clinton is a candidate who has to have structure and follow step after step after step. it's going to benefit donald. that all to say, i think the thing that's going to help donald in the general is this is the year of the outsider. nothing screams more establishment than hillary clinton. nothing screams outsider more than donald trump. and i think this is the year of the outsider. people are looking for somebody who is maybe not as scripted, somebody who is more authentic. somebody that is a new face, a fresh face, a different approach, not taking us back to the 1990s, let's look forward. let's look ahead. let's have some new ideas. i think it will be very interesting campaign and give the advantage to donald when they start to debate

head to head. >> fox news poll has -- you are a hillary hater, you are a bernie sanders supporter? not you, just random democrats says i can't vote for hillary. i don't like the establishment factor going on. didn't work on the g.o.p. side. not working on the democrat side. i can't vote for hillary. does donald trump get some of the bernie sanders supporters? >> i think there is no doubt that donald trump will get some bernie sanders supporters. more likelihood that hillary clinton is going to get a lot of g.o.p. support one in five republicans say i would never vote for donald trump and i would consider voting for hillary clinton. >> you look at the negatives. the negatives. >> they both have negatives. >> 2 and 3 women are negative towards donald trump. 3 in 5 latinos are negative towards donald trump. attacking hillary clinton for being a woman. for being responsible for her husband's affairs, the negatives on donald trump among women are going to skyrocket. it's going to make him unelectable.

>> here's the thing. going back to republican voters. somehow voting for hillary, i think what's becoming more and more crystallized especially with donald trump releasing his list of potential supreme court justice, people are realizing this election is going to be about the supreme court. it's going to be about obamacare. i think as more and more people get closer to the general, some of these people that are saying we will never vote for trump, guess what, i bet 90% of them will vote for donald trump. >> bernard, fox news poll had donald trump leading with white women. donald trump is running against a white woman. >> absolutely. you know what? the average of the last six presidents who have won, 39% have -- whites have voted. we typically in the democratic party have a problem with whites. you know what? 84% of people of color are supporting hillary clinton. it is almost mathematically impossible for donald trump to be able to achieve enough support muck whites, 53% right now, mitt romney got 57% of white votes. he needs like 65% of white votes. >> is he doing better with
