steve. we'll get to donald trump and what he said about hillary clinton's e-mail scandal in a minute. first of all, we're in bismarck as donald trump will be speaking at the petroleum conference outlining his energy policy a little after noon today. but i expect when donald trump wakes up in california in the next little while, we'll hear him talk about president obama. the reason for that is at the g7 conference in japan, mr. obama, president obama weighed in on donald trump and the way he's perceived by world leaders. listen to this. >> but they are rattled by it. and for good reason. because a lot of the proposals that he's made display either ignorance of world affairs or a cavalier attitude or an interest in getting tweets and headlines instead of actually thinking

through what it is that is required to keep america safe and secure and prosperous and what is required to keep the world on an evil keel. >> president obama saying that world leaders are rattled by the prospect of donald trump becoming the president. the man is more interested in tweets than headlines. i expect in the next while we'll see a tweet from donald trump responding to that. yesterday he was in anaheim, california, focusing heavily on the scandal surrounding hillary clinton and her e-mails. and the state department inspector general's report said she did not follow the rules. donald trump predicting yesterday that she may not make it until the november election. here he is. >> hillary, as i say crooked hillary, crooked hillary, she's as crooked as they come. she had a little bad news today, as you know, from some reports that came down that weren't so good. but not so good. inspector general's report, not

good. >> more protests marked the rally yesterday. a rowdy, boisterous, 14 arrests, not violent like in costa mesa, california, or in albuquerque the other day. but donald trump spoke to paul ryan the other night said to have a good conversation. no sign of a paul ryan endorsement. remember the other day the trump allie ryder stone said mr. trump contributed to a fund for kathleen willie to pay for her mortgage so she could talk about what happened with the clintons in the 1990s, he was misinformed that donald trump did not contribute. although i strongly support donald trump, he was not among the hundreds of donors and friends who are voluntarily helping me save my home. i have never been paid by anyone in the trump campaign to say anything.

i've nev >> every donald trump speech is full of news as well as a jimmy kimmel appearance. on the hillary clinton e-mails, it gets confusing. it was written for a lawyer and not to be read for an entertainment value. but i take away this. no matter what brian fallon says as a spokesperson, fundamentally, she was never given permission to do it. when asked by junior staffers, what is going on in the private e-mail and should you be doing that? they said, don't you ever bring up hillary clinton's private e-mail again. so she was never told to do what she did. she knew it was wrong and everyone else was told to hush it up. and there was at least two attempts to hack into it. >> that we know of. and the state department yesterday could not say definitively whether she was hacked. here's the thing, with the ig report, it revealed that for the most part everything that we have heard from hillary and her aides regarding the e-mail situation has been a lie.

we talked to anybody about anything regarding the e-mail, you know, and i'm cooperating with the investigators, not true. hillary did not talk to the ig. neither did her top aides. jake sullivan, cheryl mills, they all refused to talk about it. >> i thought that was interesting, she did not talk to the inspector general. and also, she did this on a private server. that's what is different. some other politicians did use personal e-mails, but what is different about her case is she used her own server. she got her own server down in the basement and did it to be able to keep things private so that the government, public individuals could not see -- >> although yesterday it was embarrassing because at one point, brian, mark toner was asked about, what about this e-mail where humus says a lot of state department people are not getting your e-mail, you should get a state department account. she said, no, let's use another

device. i don't want anybody to be able to see these particular e-mails. >> and just to your point, ainsley, when e-mail was just beginning, contindoleeza had ov 1200. this was eight years later, condoleeza rice never used -- >> she had private e-mail but not a gismo in your house. >> good point. she acts like everyone did it. it just adds to the theme of what is going on in terms of judgment? what about leaving national secrets on your private server? >> and believing you're above the law. it's a judgment call, you're right. it's going to give donald trump a lot of ammunition going forward. and donald trump was on with jimmy kimmel last night. was were probably asleep if you're up this early in the morning. so we walk in this morning and our wonderful producers put together some sound from the jimmy kimmel interview.

instead of the v.a. going through the applications and enrolling the veterans, we are reviewing records so people can get enrolled. they just decided we are not going to bother and started declaring people ineligible. now 22,000 brave men and women who served our country have lost their health care benefits illegally. and that's a shame. >> so here we go, this thing breaks in 2014 in fee niphoenix. we find out about the scandal with people getting incentives messing with the applications. guys like you come out and become whistleblowers and things are supposed to change. wait times are high but we have been better. we have been better serving our veterans. and you say, you have observed no change, no improvement, more manipulation? >> more manipulation. and if you listen to that tape, the audio that you just played, it clearly shows that v.a. managers have decided that they don't want to do a full investigation because they know

many people who should have been enrolled are deceased. they also know that their applications for v.a. health care all around the country, some in people's desk drawer, some in large filing rooms, some in large databases that no one has checked, no one has reviewed, and because of that it's a lot easier for the agency to claim false accomplishments and just mark people as ineligible. >> financial incentives go to the different centers when they reach certain quotas. and instead of pushing people to work harder, it is pushing people just to cash in and screw the system. >> exactly, brian. and in our case, everyone involved in this backlog, this illegal process of making veterans ineligible, has been given a promotion. the process has gone on for two years. and i think we have to take this argument to the president. i think the american people should reach out to the

that was not the only place there was action. >> extreme weather to tell you about. a monster tornado ripping through america's heartland overnight. >> yep, two dozen homes wiped out as a twister wreaked havoc through central kansas for nearly an hour and a half it was on the ground. >> oh, my god, dude! >> maria molina is live in abilene, kansas. maria, what are you seeing right now? >> reporter: that's right. we are just north of abilene, kansas. this tornado really ripped through this area leaving behind all kinds of heartbreaking scenes. you can see the damage behind me very extensive. some of these things really unrecognizable. we have been driving around throughout the morning doing a damage survey and setting up our live shot this morning. and again, just unrecognizable scenes. we have seen cars that appear to be destroyed. power lines on the ground, trees down, and many roads continue to be blocked because of the trees that are blocking the roads out

there. so again, the damage out here, the scene still very raw and a lot of pieces to be picked up by the residences across kansas. like you mentioned, this torn was on the ground for a very long time. so the path of damage is extensive and we'll continue to bring you images throughout the day. unfortunately, we expect another round of severe weather and potentially a greater one today anywhere from texas up into parts of kansas, nebraska, even extending into portions of iowa. the threat for violent tornadoes for damaging winds and very large hail potentially the size of baseballs continues out there across parts of the plains. make sure to stay safe. over to you, heather. >> please stay safe out prayers everyone in that area. kicking and screaming, a passenger flows herself in front of the cockpit door just as the frontier flight begins to takeoff. watch.

goodness. those tense moments happening as the jet was taxiing to the runway in denver. it was caught on camera by another passenger on board. flight attendants now being praised for trying to get the woman off the floor. she was taken to a hospital for treatment. and a dallas man leading police on a dangerous high-speed chase with his infant child helplessly trapped in the backseat. >> what is this guy doing? what are you doing? stop! stop! >> wow. it gets a lot crazier than that. the man starts speeding erratically through traffic and driving the wrong way to avoid police. he ditches the car, scales a fence and makes a run for it. cops were then able to remove -- look at that, the 6-month-old baby from the backseat of the car before pursuing the father. they found him occurricowering bathroom at a starbucks. that man is now facing multiple charges including child endan r

all about? >> reporter: good morning. well, you know, according to that associated press report, some intruders they scaled barbed wire fences like this one behind me or simply walked past vehicle check points. others crashed vehicles into fences or even concrete barriers. these breaches happening about every ten days at one of the 31 major airports. incidents like the one you spoke about. man in the tarmac in washington, d.c., airport there. these incidents are fairly undercounted because the tsa and airports have refused to release complete information. or they don't label these understand dents as breach -- incidents as breaches. last year the a.p. dug through records and san francisco, las vegas and philadelphia had the most breaches. here at dfw airport that number is nine. for example, in 2004, airport

we have got a fox news alert. look at these images. devastation in the heartland this morning after a massive tornado tore through central kansas overnight. >> yep. two dozen homes wiped out as the twister carved a path of destruction. they say a half mile wide. >> large tornado. >> look across the road. >> oh, my god, dude. >> maria molina is live at the center of all the devastation in abilene, kansas. maria?

>> yeah, that's right. we're just north of abilene, texas, and that's just outside of is a lie thats, kansas, as well. we know several injuries as well. fortunately, minor injuries, but where i'm standing, you know, we havebeen surveying the damage. i haven't seen a home near us. the nearest home is a couple hundred yards but the damage and destruction left behind is very extensive. we are talking about someone's lives here. all kinds of items that we have seen scattered about on the ground. here it looks like what appears to be a shingle. some of the objects are unrecognizable. but here and there, we do spot some objects that belong to the people that lived in this area. a basketball out here, a volleyball left behind over here. we even found an umbrella. and even people's clothing. just thrown about out here. back there you can see the clothing that we found. so of course our prayers are with all of the folks out here who worked very hard and saw in a few seconds a tornado come through and cause all of this devastation. we do know that a red cross

center was set up nearby for the victims of the tornado. we do know that the threat will continue. but back here it does appear that there was a home beyond the trees. we'll be bringing you more images throughout the rest of the morning. it appears to have been a home, but a lot of destruction and possibly the foundation of the structure. today, we could be seeing additional severe weather. the very same storm system will bring another risk for severe weather and we're talking a greater risk today, extending from texas up into portions of kansas including this area right here. they could be seeing more violent tornados ripping through. even further north across nebraska and iowa. a large section of the country, we'll be looking at and facing the possibility of more tornadoes. very damaging winds. and large hail. yesterday, we had reports of baseball sized hail and that is a possibility yet again today. and by the way the risk continues in through friday again as the storm system continues marching east. stay safe out there, from texas to parts of the midwest to today.

shouldn't you? >> well, the law is the law. it was created in the '60s and '70s and if they want to change the law, it should be the congress not the president. those fights out to be fought out in congress, not by one person in the white house. >> but it's discriminatory against the transgenders. what's your reaction? >> i'm the chief legal and law enforcement officer in the state so my concerns are about the rule of law. and about safety for children. so this is in my opinion a solution in search of a problem. this guideline doesn't address any particular problem. they have not been very specific about what they're trying to solve. this opens the door for men deciding one day they want to be women and then switching back the next day. it's just -- it doesn't answer any particular question. >> and ken, the president has a hanging over every state's head that doesn't comply funding -- federal funding for schools. what are you going to do if that

federal funding is going to be pulled back? >> that's why we filed this lawsuit. there are 100,000 school districts that would be subject to this and parents are concerned about this. that's why we have the school district involved, because we are concerned about this funding. >> you saw the slings and arrows, one in north carolina's direction and the governor in particular. they're making it a polarizing issue. all-star games are saying we're not coming here. what are the message to the teams that say you're showing intolerance? >> i'd say look at the law and realize that we're constitutional democracy. and a republic. we need to focus on following the law and if these groups want to change the law, they should go in and speak to their congressmen and work on changing those law, but it shouldn't come through the lawsuit. >> there's law and that's logic. does there seem to be logic in this? out of all the issues that are facing this nation, does this seem like a priority regardless of where you stand?

>> oh, absolutely not. you know it's interesting, i met and met with a hundred parents over in ft. worth because the school district adopted this and across all socioeconomic, cultural parties lines you have parents concerned about one thing, that's the safety of their children. >> joining you or you joining them, alabama, georgia, louisiana, oklahoma, tennessee, utah, west virginia and wisconsin. so these are the states that have joined you. what is the next legal step? >> so i anticipate the obama administration will file a response and we'll have a hearing on this. our goal is to put a preliminary injunction and to permanently enjoin from going into effect. >> you said count me in and i think that's admirable. ken paxton, thank you. we'll see what happens next because i have a sense this is not going away. meanwhile, coming up straight ahead, we're turning trash into treasure by transforming this old living

through the area overnight, carving a path a half a mile wide. >> all right. the twister not letting up for an hour and a half. two dozen homes were wiped out. >> oh, my god, dude. >> maria molina is live at the center of the devastation which is abilene, kansas, which is my hometown. i was talking to my sister earlier this morning. she said that last night was my nephew avery's fifth grade promotion and they all rode the storm out in the church basement. >> wow. >> oh, wow. and there's reports that this tornado was on the ground for 23 miles here in dickinson county in kansas. so really just a devastating scene here. and now the sun is up and we're getting a better idea of how violent this tornado was. i want to share with you a few scenes we're able to see now. in the distance you can see what was a home. this was so powerful it completely destroyed that home. the farmhouse.

it does appear it was a home because there's a mattress and other belongings as well. we have been seeing family members showing up on the scene. we're trying to talk to them. no one wants to go on camera. they're still shaken up from yesterday's experience. another scene off towards my left. you can see another structure that was completely destroyed. debris on top of a truck. cars destroyed. we have tractors off towards my right that have been destroyed as well. so severe, severe damage. now, that house is way off in the distance. and over here we actually have debris that was spilled across this region. we have a smoke stack. part of it. we have wood that the tornado possibly shoved into the ground out here. so again a very violent storm and tornado that ripped through this area. over here we are also kind of getting an idea of the property. we even have some animal food

that was left here. and just some towels and just the belongings of this family that lived here, that still lives in this area. really just a devastating scene out here and heart breaking. unfortunately there's a threat for more tornados throughout the day today. we have the risk stretching across the big chunk of the nation. anywhere from texas up into kansas and nebraska and iowa. we are talking about the potential to see more tornadoes like the one we saw hit here in kansas. very violent. that can cause significant damage. in addition, some damaging winds. very large hail. potentially baseball sized or even greater than that. that can cause some significant harm to you. if you're outdoors. make sure you have a way to get the weather warnings. anywhere from texas up into portions of the midwest. the threat is high today for more severe weather across this region. >> all right. maria, to the north of abilene, kansas, they're looking at the devastation. 25 minutes before the top of

a detailed report released yesterday by a state department watchdog finds hillary clinton clearly broke federal rules with her private e-mail server. what does in mean for hillary and could an indictment be waiting in the wings? peter johnson jr. has been reading everything said about it. >> absolutely, here's my analysis on this, steve doocy, and america this morning. there was a blatant disregard if not contempt for keeping america's most sensitive secrets. this report is a blockbuster. and this is what it shows. no approval was given for the personal server at hillary clinton's home. the state department staff who complained about it were told, quote, never to speak again about it, ever. clinton and top aides stone wall and refused to be interviewed by the inspector general. in 2011, the clinton server was attacked by hackers. >> oh, boy. >> clinton and the staff then failed to report the attacks. that's in violation of the
