hello, and welcome to a special holiday weekend edition of "justice" i'm judge jeanine pirro. it's been a campaign season for the ages. and the real fun hasn't even started yet. tonight we'll preview a jel general election sure to make history. in november, will we elect this country's first female president? or a man with no political experience who has defied the odds at every turn? joining me now to look ahead to this historic matchup is a man who knows a thing or two about washington, d.c., former republican speaker of the house and fox news contributor newt gingrich rich. all right, good evening mr. speaker. >> good evening. >> we're thrilled you have of to have you on "justice."

i'm going to get right to it. you know, as we inch closer to the election, it seems that all of the givens from almost a year ago are upside down. hillary was going to be corps nated. and donald trump was just dabbling. and now we've got donald trump before, as he says he has even started beating hillary. what do you attribute this to? >> well, i think a couple of things. partly, personality. trump has turned out to be an amazingly entertaining national figure who has people absolutely mesmerized watching him. and he's making points lots of people agree with. turns out hillary is a really bad candidate who is sort of boring and doesn't communicate authenticity the way trump does. i think second, trump did a brilliant job of using all of modern social media, including television and talk radio and twitter and facebook and you know name it. and i think that made him different. and frankly, sanders did

something very similar. he reached out on the internet, $27 a piece, actually for several months raised more money than clinton. so clip has found herself in life and death struggle. at the very moment that trump has now clearly passed 16 other candidates to become the nominee. it is not at all the year any of us would have guessed a year ago. >> based on what you said, mr. speaker, i mean, this is almost a new era in politics, where you've got both of these candidates not going the traditional media market and political ads and all that, but just tweeting things out. and donald trump, when you think about it -- i mean, the man is -- he doesn't sleep, eyele' convin -- i'm convinced offist he is tweeting and constantly on the phone. has the control room numbers of most of the stations. hillary on the other hand i have this visual of her in the beginning of the campaign where she was marching and they roped off the reporters frommer had. i mean, isn't she just

personification of the old school politics? >> well, she is. and she has a number of really bad habits. first of all, she's way overstaffed. trump is his own instant response person. he is able to be fast, nimble. he learns, and he is constantly in motion. she has lots of people around her. i think they have ten times as big as an organization as trump does. trump may have won the nomination for less money than anybody in mern modern times. he is ability to use earned media and social media has been, as you pointed out correctly, literally historic and potentially changes the game. there is also another problem. even when she tries to be authentic, hillary just can't pull it off. when they said we'll be authentic, we'll use the subway in new york. it was embarrassing. you want to say come on, guys, have her do something she's used to doing, like sitting in the back of a limousine surrounded

by the secret service. but don't try to make her somebody she's not. >> to me, and the numbers that you quote are very accurate. we had corey lewandoski on, the trump expand manager, he said we have 70 people. she has 732 people on her campaign staff. but doesn't that, in itself, speak to efficiency? speak to the intelligence that a business man has and the redundancy in government we are going to start seeing float away hopefully. >> trump if you remember with the skating rink which the city couldn't fix in central park, the city spent six years, $13 million, couldn't fix it. it did not make ice. trump finally stepped in. they gave him approval. in three months, for $2.5 million, he fixed something which the city had thrown away $13 million in six years. you take that efficiency, that entrepreneurial drive and you apply to it the federal

government, it could be an exciting couple of years. >> what about the issue -- donald trump started with immigration, and then the ban on muslims and all that. and you know, hillary clinton came out recently and said, you know, the -- promoting the ban on muslims or saying you are going to do it is promoting terrorism. is's kind of like barack obama sayingan tan mow, gitmo promotes terrorism. is this political speak? is this like political correctness gone wild where people say whatever they think their side wants to see. >> i think it is a reminder that the left is crazy when it comes to islamic supremacy. the first great attack in 1979 when ayatollah ho main autoey allows the students to takeover the school illegally. trump wasn't the cause of that. you had the two attacks under

blil, the attack on the uss cole under bill clinton. i don't think donald trump caused any of those things. if you are a left winger, you have to forgive terrorists anything because they are anti-american and you don't want to be seen as anti-american because it violates your commitment as a left winger to never protect america. >> it is a sad commentary on politics on the left anyway in america. mr. newt gingrich rich thank you for being with us. good tow to be here. as we edge closer and the inevitable that donald trump will clinch the delegates needed for the republican nomination it does appear that a pouring of the republican establishment is getting behind the trump campaign. but that wasn't the case until very recently. sometimes my opening statements here on justice take on a life of their own on social media. that was the case with this one, from march 5th, just days after mitt romney took on donald trump and urged republican voters to

turn their back on man who was getting more votes than anyone else. i wasn't having any of it. take a look. there's an insurrection coming. mitt romney just confirmed it. we've watched governors, the national review, conservative leaders, establish mechbt, and party operatives trash donald trump. but mitt romney will always be remembered as the one who put us over the edge and awoke a sleeping giant, the silent majority, the american people. fact, the establishment is panicked. myth essentially called for a brokered convention where the republican nominee will be selected by party activists and delegates irrespective of their state's choice. the call? to vote for whom ever has the best chance of beating donald trump. you want a brokered convention? a primer, myth. whenever we have one, we lose.

do we inford a merge from a brokered convention to lose the general election? so why? because the party elites and elders want to protect us? and stop us from falling into the abyss? mitt, i'm shoe you and your cronies don't feel this, but most of us working two and jobs think we are already in the abyss, the obama abyss. and most of us scared about our safety and security. and you want to prevent us from falling into a recession? we don't believe any of you. that's why outsiders are so strong in both parties while the insiders seek a brokered convention or super delegates to guarantee their own positions. you are panicked. not for us. but because you are worried about losing power. the lobbyists, the pharmaceutical companies, the power brokers, the lawmakers who

are willing to invest in absurd pensions our children simply can't pay for for their own short-term political survival. we are sick and tired of legislators with modest means who leave congress multimillionaires, whose spouzs and families get all the contracts, from selling the post offices to accessing insider information so they can buy property and flip it. you are so entrenched that you are willing to give hillary clinton the win. it doesn't matter to you which party, crony capitalism and its paradigm will not change for the elite. let the american people suffer along the way. you know, mitt if you are so concerned about our country, where were you when barack obama lied to us saying we could keep our health care and our doctor? where were you when the gsa wasted millions of our dollars for stupid conferences? when the military suffered as the va was run like a piggy bank

for corrupt employees? when the irs went after conservative 501 c 3 applications when the clinton foundation runs one of the biggest 501 c 3s in the world parading as nothing more than a shell to pay campaigners and clinton operatives to secure hillary's election? and you say you are offended by donald trump's language. politicians have been trashing each other since the founding fathers. language so horrible, mitt, i can't even repeat on the air. you are so offended by trump's language, but not barack obama's condemnation of those who cling to god and guns. and you are worried about donald trump's businesses? you, mitt, were a corporate raider who threw people out of work and sent jobs out of our country. and you don't like donald's temperament and judgment? you couldn't even stand up to cnn's candy crowley.

you couldn't even get elected when the nation was ripe for a republican president. and 70 foreign policy security experts say amr. trch's own statements lead us to conclude that as president he would use the authority of his office to make america less safe and diminish our sanding in the world. are those bowsos talking about barack obama? and they go on to say that he poses a distinct threat to civil liberties in the united states. really? i'm worried about the civil liberties of americans who have had their heads cut off, and those killed in workplace violence. did you criticize that? no. and you want us to vote for rubio? why? what has he done? aside from having one of the largest abs absentee voting

habits in the history of the united states senator. and you complained about trump university. mit, the, what about -- when the owners were top owners to you throw solamir capital. remember, you were an original investor there. and how about vander top college were ferguson's michael brown were about to attend and your pals were about to cash his federal financial loan? your namby pamby reason that you won't support donald trump even if he is the party's nominee, you worry what you will tell your grandchildren when they asked, why, grandpa, didn't you stop donald trump? maybe you ought to worry about when they ask about your loss to barack obama. what are you going to tell them? will you tell them that you choked? and i don't care if he supported democrats, republicans, or

martia martians, he was a businessman, and i don't care if he said putin was a strong leader he could get along with. hello held, hillary clinton hit a reset button with russia. and you are worried about putin when barack obama dances with the bevel in iran? mitt, i never knew you were such a patriot. and you say donald's air gantd. he says things that you don't. but things that you think. your acts are more arrogant than his words. and, mitt, you lost your own state, massachusetts, which was the second worst home state loss in presidential election history. and trump, won 49% of massachusetts. donald trump is bringing in record numbers of americans. he's doing for to add to our ranks than any of your anemic get out the vote operations. yes, there's an insurrection coming.

we're fed up. we're sick of the lies, the v s veils and the games. you talk about immigration. yet no one has done anything since the last amnesty in 1986. while we continue to pay for education, medication, housing. while families like kate steinle's murdered by an illegal deported five times, convicted seven times suffer behind back door budget hearings. you continue to fund sanctuary cities that fund their noses at american victims. you talk about overspending, and the government, and the deficit, it's only gotten bigger. you take our money in the form of taxes, waste it away while you federal you are your own nest. from bob dole, john mccain, to you, mitt romney, and almost another bush, the party elite cannot win. don't be small, mitt. remember our history. remember when we were fed up with a monarchy?

cole dates the republicans. >> it looks like he is there. >> and wick, romney's chief money guy seems to be coming around to trump. so romney looks somewhat isolated. you had a good point. romney had no problem sanding up with donald trump and accepting his endorsement in 2012. nobody problem. and trump was talking about conspiracy theories even back then. and romney was happy to get his endorse men. i think it's species and hypocritical. >> she is right isn't she. >> everybody has to make their own decision on who they are going to vote for. >> to me, that's tyranny. >> let me use a baseball analogy. as frustrate as i may get with my washington nationals, i'm never going to cheer for a the

america yankee. >> 27 championships. if you want to be a leerz, great. >> i'm not cheering for hillary. donald has a bigger issue if he's going to win this presidency. he has to keep republicans -- he will. he will keep republicans to the point that he needs to win. he has got to get independents and he has to get democrats. 8% of the democrats are actually favorable to donald trump. he has to convince people to take a risk on him versus making a bad choice with hillary clinton had. she is a bad choice. >> how does it work, julie when you have got a businessman, donald trump, and you know i'm always very open to disclose he has been a friend of mine for a long time -- when you have a businessman with no record. then you have a politician with a record -- it's almost like supreme court candidates, when they have a record that's when you can kill them. when they don't you can raise them up. does it help or hurt? >> he does have a record. he may not have a political record but as he is running to be the businessman in chief, then his business record is open

game, fair game, you talk about the bankruptcies and the business failings. and there are many to talk about. the biggest thing is the republican establishment. if trump wins this becomes the party of trump which is inconsistent with what the party has been traditionally. this is not a traditional republican. if trump loses the romneys of the world and others in the republican, quote, unquote, establishment get another shot at the golden prize. they may not be the prize we want but that's theish thieu. >> i believe that the establishment is dead. i believe that the two-party system as we know it today is over. and i think that bernie sanders and donald trump are proving it. and whether or not they win or don't win almost doesn't matter. it's at the ordinary american saying, i have had enough. who is going to win? who is going to win? >> this talk of establishment -- i don't know what it means. >> i do. it's the lobbyists, it's the bushes -- >> what happens when the donors who are the establishment all of

a sudden get behind donald trump? we want them on the team, right? politics is about addition. we you had at to be for bringing every american who wants to create jobs, who wants to secure our border, wants to fix the health care system, that's who donald trump needs to attract. that's who all is going to get on the train for him to win in november. we have to bring everybody together. so much of this divisive language, is this a good republican, not a god republican, donald trump is laying out a set of principles and anybody who wants to follow those is going to get on board. he came out with a tax plan that was very heralded when it came out. there is not a republican in congress who doesn't agree with securing the border. >> let's talk about something more general. that is bill clinton, when he ran had that empathy, i feel your pain thing, going on. does donald trump have that? >> no, i think donald trump is basically flipping people off for lack of a better

first announced his presidential campaign, he shot to the top of the polls. but almost everyone said it wouldn't last. i have known donald for about 25 years and you've seen my interviews with him on "justice" several times throughout the campaign. one of my favorites is this one. when i sat down with him back in august of 2015 forks a revealing interview about his campaign which at the time was in its infancy, and his personal life. the big topic that summer was immigration, a theme that has state at the forefront of the trump campaign ever since. take at that look. >> i have thousands of hispanics that work for me. and tens of thousands over the years, mexicans. i love them. they are incredible people. but you know, so many of them agree with me because they have come into the country legally. it's taken them time, evident, and they don't want illegals pouring into the country. it's no good for them either. >> 76% of the independents say

that your plan to deport everybody who is here illegally is over the top. would you change your strategy going forward once you are out of the primary -- >> jeanine, you either have a country or you don't. you can't have everybody pouring in illegally. we don't know what we are doing at the border. we have a president that doesn't have a clue and they are pouring in. we have incredible border patrol people. they can stop it immediately. but they are told not to. people are walking right in front of them walking right into the country. you either have a country or don't have a country. we will build a wall, a great wall. >> how are you going to get mexico to pay for it. >> they are going to pay for it. >> nabisco is moving their plant to mexico. how is that? ford is building a massive plant in mexico. >> how can you -- how can you get mexico to pay? >> it's called negotiation.

a politician can't do it because they don't have a clue. they are all saying you can't get them -- do you have any doubt that i will get them to pay for the wall? they will pay for the wall. >> what do you think of the american people? >> i love the american people. the american people are great. but they are not allowed to do what they want to do. and they are holding back this incredible energy, this incredible country. between regulations, and truly stupid leadership in washington. they are holding back this incredible pent up energy. and when we release it, we will be great again. >> all right. i want to talk about donald trump, the father. what do you attribute the success of your kids --? >> i have good kids. five wonderful irn which. they have all been very good students. in that sense i'm lucky or whatever it is that it takes. they have been good students. the adult children, don, ivanka and eric, they love what they are doing and they do it well. >> don't you give yourself some credit for that?

>> i do. i was very strong, no drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes. >> i remember. >> no drugs, no alcohol, no cigarettes. i've seen it where kids get stuck -- friends of mine, successful guys, in some cases, very successful, they have children that are very smart but they are stuck on drugs or something. there is one thing i can tell the kids, no drinking -- i mean of any consequence, but no drinking and no drugs. i always throw in cigarettes because if you can avoid the cigarettes that's a a great thing. >> in the 25 years i have known you i haven't known you to drink alcohol? >> i just don't drink. my brother was an alcoholic. handsome. the most handsome guy you have ever seen. he was the life of the party. fred. he was an incredible guy. but he died of alcoholism. and when he would be with me -- he was quite a bit older than me. he would always lecture me. i don't want you to drink. no drinking.

it was a big age drirchs. no drinking. and i saw how he ended up -- he had such potential, the most tremendous -- most handsome, the most personality of anybody, better than me. really just a great guy. and alcohol destroyed him and i've seen it destroy so many people. and i learned from him had. he was a great example to me. and he worked hard. and he would always tell me no drinking. he would say no cigarettes, too. he smoked and he drank. >> who is your mentor, your hero? >> my father. he was a builder in brooklyn and queens. a tremendous initiator. he didn't teach me per se, say this is the way you do it but i'd be sitting down with blocks when i was a little kid and i would hear him on the phone negotiating with a plumber or a electrician or somebody -- that's when i see the deal we're making with iran, how incompetent it is, how incompetent our negotiators are,

>> he now, the majority of americans believe and are right, that hillary clinton is untrustworthy, dishonest, and a liar. hillary has tansed with federal prosecutors most of her career. she knows how to delete, conceal and destroy evidence. remember those pesky missing rose law firm files? not to mention 30,000 deleted e-mails, deleted in a minute. she lies so much, she doesn't

know the difference between the truth and a lie. and like most liars can't keep those stories straight. and don't give me that woman thing where oh, it's time for a female president. yeah, it is. but not her. what makes you think that electing this woman who spent most of her career riding her husband's coattails is necessarily a good thing? doesn't it depend on the individual? man or woman? and for those of you who think a woman will automatically help other women, consider this. the clinton foundation, an organization over custom the clintons have control pays female employees 38 cents less per dollar than males. so much for that old pay inequality thing. supporting women? hillary made her bones creating the attack team on all the women

who said bill engaged in sexual activity ranging from harassment to affairs, to worse. but if these women are all liars, as they say, why was paula jones awarded $850,000 from the clintons? and mon could lewinsky's dress -- and monica lewinsky's dress, if only that blue dress could talk. why do they get away with it? why do they or why can they do things that if any of us each a four star general does, would put us in jeopardy or in jail? what is it about them that puts them above the law? i submit it is the people that are indebted to them. the people for whom the clintons have done favors. the people that she actually e-mails on that server that might be in jeopardy for having received those e-mails and knowing there was classified

information on her e-mail on that unsecured server on that non-government website. the classic inside game is what the clintons do. another one of my opening statements that became a favorite on social media. welcome back to "justice." my political panel is back. julie rue beginski, and david avery wella. okay, i want to t off of that one. you know, when you look at hillary clinton and all those things that i said, julie, and whether you agree with it or not, the fact that she hasn't been able to close this deal yet -- although she will be the candidate -- all of that noise continues to hurt her to the point where now donald trump is beating her. what does she have to doll? >> first of all, she has the close the deal. she will. probably new jersey will put her over the top on june 17th even before the polls close in california. secondly, you will fine there is

no surprise -- i disagree with you on a lot of what you said al though you looked fantastic saying what you said. if you remember, barack obama and hillary clinton took took it all the way toll until the end of june in 2008. back then, 60% of them said they would never vote for barack obama. in the enhe ended up winning. the same way you had a never trump movement collapsing is the same way the sanders supporters will come home to her. >> didn't you say to us she would have this wrapped up in february, then march, then now maybe june. and that with the polls that show donald is beating her in some polls -- >> the challenge is, if you look at most public polling 20% of democrats don't find her favorable, don't think she is a trustworthy person.

she has to figure out how does he she motivate that 20%. >> but done has the same number on his side. >> we are talking about how she gets the nomination. she has to make sure the 8% of democrats who have a favorable view of donald trump -- she has to make sure they don't go and vote for him. >> you have got democrats that will vote for vote. i don't know of republicans who are willing to vote for hillary. when it's all said and done. >> sure, there are. >> what you've got now is this huge blue collar democrat you know union group that like the ronald reagan years they are going to comol over to trump. there is no question about that. who does she pull from. >> independents. barack obama lost independents four years ago and eight years she has a shot at them because trump's numbers are unpalatable. that's mathematic, not my spin.

second those reagan voters don't exist. either they are all dead because they are all older. or they are now voting republican. reagan democrats from the 80s no longer exist. >> i think what was happening in the reagan years. it was bad on employment, it was difficult to get a mortgage. with all the same kinds of thing that are going on now. you can say even with health care costs going up. hillary says she is going to add to obama care. i see a lot of the same parallels. >> barack obama is at 51% in the recent polling. >> he is on his way out. nobody cares. >> the point is he is at higher numbers than reagan was in '88 and look what happened. george bush became the third reagan term with ragon's numbers. you may not like all of this. but people are not dissatisfied with barack obama. >> i think it depends on the subject. i think barack obama has had

some of the lowest poll numbers in the history of president inside this country. >> never below 40. and he is over 50 now. >> julie, being a democrat knows the dead can vote on their side. >> is that a new jersey thing, my friend. >> these dead reagan democrats are coal miners in pennsylvania who are going to lose their jobs if hillary clinton becomes president of the united states. go through many working class white americans. they are out there. and it's why donald trump is going to be able to put some states in play that we haven't in years past. >> david i love you to death. >> you love all of us. just say it. >> i do. but you are completely dead wrong. recent history. a democratic has not won the white vote that you say is going to go to trump since lbj. >> we haven't had hillary clinton to run against. >> you said the same thing about obama the first time. about clinton in '92, clinton in '94. come on. >> hillary made a huge faux pas

talking to the coal miners in west virginia. >> agreed. >> all right? now she has michigan, pennsylvania, and she brings out bill to say oh, everything is going to be fine of the they faulk out of both sides of their mouth. but i think the most interesting part of all of this is that when you tuesday historic diet for gallup poll questions in presidential races are you satisfied, that is a key indicator of people going to the other party. and they are not satisfied. they may like barack obama. i'm not going to fight with you on that. but people hate government right, which is why a socialist and a businessman are at the top of the hill on this i think this. going forward, nobody thought bernie would be anywhere near where he is. now i think more people are coming to his side. what role ultimately will he have in the convention? >> bernie? >> yeah? >> i think he is trying to get the democratic party to move more into his direction. >> they are going to give it to

that's been a socialist country? >> no. >> no. >> i wasn't that great in history class. >> it's happening now. >> socialism is akin to communism except there's no government control over every aspect of your life. >> socialism would be horrible for our country. socialism is where you take money from people who make money open give it to people who are not working. >> what would it do for america? >> it would make america something different than what it is now, which is a free enterprise system. >> we would have more affordable or free tuition or college and it would be good. >> who pays for it? >> i think that in the current environment the very wealthy should be taxed at a much higher rate than they are. >> the soviet union didn't work because they were overspending on a military budget and the rest of the world was in a free

market society and they couldn't cope with it. >> i don't know if it's going to work. you have people who don't want to let go of their money. >> why is bernie resonating? >> i think he relates to people well. i find him charming myself to look at. would be the last guy in the world i would ever vote for. >> have you ever heard that socialism is a political and economic organization where you know the government pretty much owns all of the methods of production and then redistributes the wealth? >> say that again. >> do you know what socialism is? >> yes. i lived in a socialist country. >> what do you think of socialism? >> we're here today. socialist is not that great. >> thank you. we'll be back in a moment. don't go away.
