7:00 pm
don't forget our coverage tomorrow beginning with a special report followed by the kelly file and hannity who is here now. have a great everybody. see you tomorrow. this is a fox news alert. tonight donald trump is holding a rally in california. he just stepped on the podium. let's listen in. >> leave it up to the lawyers. i have watched so many lawyers on so many different networks, i have read so much about the e-mails, folks, honestly, she's guilty as hell. she's guilty as hell. the fact that they often -- this is true. the fact that they even allow her to participate in this race is a disgrace to the united states, it's a disgrace to our nation.
7:01 pm
it's a disgrace. so we'll see. we'll see what happens. i don't know. i've always had great confidence in the fbi. know some fbi folks. i've always had great confidence in them. i can't believe they would let this go. you got the equivalent of two years. he did nothing compared to her. you look at some of these other people and their lives have been destroyed, what she did is 20 times worse, what she did. now her guys are taking the fifth amendment. the whole thing is a mess and she keeps running like this, no problem. i'm telling you, it's a great system we have, we have a great country, we're going to make it a lot greater by the way. we love our country. we love our country. and i don't believe our country can let her get away with this
7:02 pm
crime. i can't believe it. we'll see. if they do let her get away with it it will be a big topic of conversation on the campaign trail, i can tell you that folks. [cheers and applause] and then if i win -- [cheers and applause] it's called a five-statute of limitations if i win. now everything is going to be fair but i'm sure the attorney general will take a very good look at it from a fair standpoint, okay. i'm sure. i think it's disgraceful. so we have a very important race. we're doing amazingly well. some of the pundits are saying the most phenomenal thing they've ever seen in government. newt gingrich said the other night there's never been anything like this in the
7:03 pm
history of our country. we have great crowds. we always have great crowds. i mean look at this place. amazing. this is amazing. cameras, why don't you take a look at this, please, if you would. they don't turn. they don't turn. the other night crazy bernie, he's a crazy guy, but he's doing okay. he is nuts. he is a total nut job but you know what, he's doing okay. by the way he does get the second biggest audience. nothing like us. not even close and everybody knows it. here is the difference. so the other night they said ladies and gentlemen, donald trump, here's donald trump, i had like a tremendous, close to 20,000 people and this happens all the time, ladies and gentlemen donald trump is
7:04 pm
speaking now and he's just finishing up and then when everyone leaves they have somebody standing there and the place is empty it looks like a garbage dump and they'll say donald trump just spoke and then let's all fall asleep. then they have bernie sanders. he had 3,000 people. bernie sanders had a tremendous crowd tonight of 3,000 people. unbelievable crowd. and i'd have 20 and they don't mention it. just like when i said to the cameras turn around and show these people, even during this big game in this territory, it's amazing to me, i mean this is -- it's incredible. honestly, even coming here i said to my people, are you crazy to be having it in that location? it's a great honor. but look, we have to vote, we have to do a mandate, we have to win and one of the biggest reasons we have to do this for
7:05 pm
united states supreme court justices. [cheers and applause] i put a -- i put a very big -- i put a very very big list of great justices -- that's okay. will you be behave? where is he? where is he? where? [ boos ] >> that's all right. leave her. let her stay. that's all right. she's got a little bernie sign up. did bernie give it to you himself? it's all right. it's sad actually. no, that's okay. let her stay. there's no problem. i don't mind. i don't mind. you know they send them in with a little bernie sign made in china. it's a little bernie sign. it's a pretty sad thing. i mean unfortunately i was talking about the system so the republican system was rigged,
7:06 pm
but we won by knockouts. the bernie system is totally rigged. they have super delegates -- darling there's no way he can win but keep your sign hanging high, okay. there's no way, which is a shame. bernie and i do agree on one thing. we agree that the united states is getting ripped off like crazy on trade. so on that i agree. that's why i think a lot of the people are going to come to me when this is all over, the bernie people are going to be voting for trump because that's such a big thing, our wealth is being drained out of us, it's being taken like we're a bunch of dopes, like we're a bunch of dopes. this year we have a trade deficit with china of $505 billion. we have a massive trade deficit with vietnam and japan, with mexico. you can name any country
7:07 pm
virtually any country we deal with we have a trade deficit. it used to be the other way around when we were smart and strong but we haven't been smart and strong for many many decades and we're going to change that around, folks. we're going to change it around. we're going to change it. [cheers and applause] now, we have to change it or we can't keep going like this. it's not like we have a choice, let's go like this for another 25 years. if we're going to save our social security and i'm the only one that's going to save it believe me without cuts, if we're going to save our medicare, if we're going to save all of these things that we have to save, we have to bring our jobs back and we have to make sure that nobody's taking our jobs anymore, folks. and we're going do that. we're going to do it. so remember a couple of things. hillary clinton wants to abolish
7:08 pm
the second amendment. she wants to abolish it. [ boos ] >> the nra national rifle association last week endorsed donald trump. i believe it's the earliest endorsement they've ever given to a presidential candidate and i give that credit to my sons. they've been members for a long time, so have i, but my sons are fantastic. by the way, i have to say this. wayne and chris and all of the people, the people that i met at the nra, these are great people, they're great americans, they love the people of this country. they want the people of this country to be safe. these are great people. so i want to thank them for the endorsement. the national rifle association.
7:09 pm
okay. so let me go for a second. so i said nabisco and ford are leaving. let's say a company announces they're going to leave. i'm simply and it's going to be very strong and very simple, folks if you leave, here's the consequence. you're going to be taxed at the rate of 35% for every single air conditioning unit that you bring back into our country, okay. okay. very simple. now, i've been watching politicians in washington for seven years trying to figure out how to stop companies from leaving. they're all leaving. i shouldn't do it because i'll ruin your night but i have stats on san jose, not good. not good. you're losing your manufacturing, one in three manufacturing jobs lost. hillary ran up a $1 trillion
7:10 pm
trade deficit with china while she was secretary of state, so many different things. since bill clinton signed nafta probably the most economic deal we've ever made in this country, since then california has lost one in four of its manufacturing jobs. i mean, i could go on, except it's statistics, folks, done by my statistician. he thinks it's the most exciting job in the world. i don't want to depress. it's terrible. nafta was signed by bill clinton. it's probably the worst economic deal made by our country maybe ever. you look at new england and look at upstate new york and look way out on the island in new york, the places have been wiped out. pennsylvania, i love pennsylvania -- we're going to win pennsylvania by the way. we won all of these.
7:11 pm
you know, in the primaries they said we'll stop him right after new york. so we had a pennsylvania landslide and a maryland landslide and connecticut landslide. rhode island landslide. then they came to indiana and that was going to be the firewall indiana. bob bobby knight and bobby said i want to endorse you i want to endorse you. you're the guy that can turn this country around and bobby knight walked into an arena and we had 20,000 people and they gave him a hand for five minutes. i said you know this is one of the few endorsements i think is going to work out very nicely and i won the state of indiana in a landslide. in a landslide. and i think and i'm not even talking about landslides but i think we can win the state of california and win it pretty
7:12 pm
substantially. now, i've been told by all these geni geniuses, all these brilliant guys say you can't win the state of california. i think we can. look at the crowd. look at this crowd. during the warriors game -- look at this. this is crazy. we'll continue to monitor donald trump's rally and bring you any news as it happens tonight. coming up, hillary clinton went after donald trump today in what was supposed to be a foreign policy speech. our panel is going to weigh in and later tonight. >> america cannot shirk the mantle of leadership. we can't be isolatists. it's not possible. >> the president at it again today taking shots at trump. plus laura ingram is here tonight. that and more right here as

reason. donald trump moments ago responding to hillary clinton who earlier today was supposed to give a foreign policy speech but instead she used the platform to launch vicious attacks that kind of weren't that funny against donald trump. here is reaction with larry elder and fox news senior correspondent and fox news contributor. what he said is true because if james cuomo comes up with a criminal referral then the obama justice department gets to decide and he went into this about the double standard and a disgrace to the nation and the laws that were broken and she's guilty as hell. >> would he characterize what he said as vicious. you characterized hillary clinton on donald trump as vicious and she's -- >> would you like to go through the areas where we know she

litigating your case during the litigation is folly. to do it because he's mexican -- >> that's not what it is. there's more information that we know. the law firm appointed the judge in this particular case to represent a plaintiff in the trump class action suit has a connection to hillary clinton. it seems that he paid the clintons nearly $500,000. when you put those two things together i think donald trump has a good case to make there should be a recusal based on somebody, a part of an organization, donating and part of a firm connected to the case appointment giving that much money to the clintons, don't you? >> well, i agree with him. it's kind of a bold strike to go after the lawyer that's presiding over your case but he does have an argument for
7:19 pm
recusal but i have to tell you i think donald trump should have settled this thing a long time ago. it's a minor issue and for him to get this upset is similar to bill clinton not settling with paula jones and then settling with her for $800,000. if he didn't have his eggo involved he could have gotten this out of the way. >> what do you think monica. >> i think we're trying to apply standard conventional rules to a completely unconventional candidate here. there's a method to his madness on this. there's the legal point that they have raised that you're suggesting that he can't be impartial but that's not what he's doing. he's making a political point. he's going out there and sowing the seeds of doubt about this judge. the new york state attorney general is a democrat who is a big clinton supporter and he helped to bring this case to

clintons congenital liars. we know the most problematic scandals for any politician and especially mrs. clinton are the scandals that forces a preexisting notion about the candidate and for mrs. clinton she is dishonest and unlikable. the state department reinforced all of that and what donald trump is doing is playing the game by a different set of rules. he's not a standard republican presidential candidate like john mccain who was playing by gentleman's rules. >> how does he win the election. >> be nice. >> how does he win the election with no spanish people voting for him. >> that's an assumption you're making. >> mitt romney got 27%. >> i will tell you right now i do not believe that your analysis is this is going to be right because after eight years

office. i would say that's a failure, not a success. your reaction. >> i would say you're right about that but the interesting thing is what they like to do is redefine everything and take the people who really don't have a deep understanding of what's going on and manipulate them. this is the very thing that thomas jefferson and benjamin franklin were afraid of. if people were not well informed and didn't have the proper information they would be easily manipulated. i think the progressives understand that and they've taken tremendous advantage of it. they also speak poorly of people, but when donald trump does the same thing they say he's being unpresidential. barack obama does the same thing, but he does it in a more gentlemanly way. it's basically the same thing. >> he overpromised, there were no shovel ready jobs and he failed spectacularly.

he said $9 trillion in debt was irresponsible. it's going to be 20 when he leaves. the numbers of people out of the labor force in poverty on food stamps up by millions and he says by every economic measure that's the case and then he says it's a success. hillary has tied herself to him. does she get to make that case successfully or do those people that are suffering in the millions do they reverse course and change parties in terms of who they vote for? >> well, i'm certainly hopeful that many of the people, many of the downtrodden in our society will actually start to listen because you're going to see the republican party, you're going to see this in the platform and you're going to see donald trump talking about the ladders of opportunity that are going to be present that will allow a person on the basis of their god given talents and willingness to work hard to climb that ladder of opportunity and become part of the dpa country.
7:33 pm
that's what republicans and conservatives should represent, not keeping people in bondage and fooling them into believing somehow you are their savior. they do a good job of it but i think there's a lot of people starting to wake up and think for themselves and they're going to be in big trouble. >> the people that have been impacted by these horrible economic policies are minorities in america, black americans, latino americans and back to my argument i don't think people that are suffering are going to vote for the same pollies that have not lifted them up or given them an ladder of opportunity. thank you dr. carson. >> or at least they'll sit at home and they won't come out and vote. but i'm hoping that they will actually turn this thing around because we have a lot of programs that are going to be available and it's going to be help an awful lot of people. >> yeah. you got to think that's 90 some odd million americans out of the labor force. those are millions of families suffering.

there are protests outside of donald trump's ral in california. on the ground is jonathan hunt. >> reporter: we followed the usually patent here. the crowd was passion in the as they always are on both sides shouting slogans and then as the rally wrapped up they became more rouddy. this is is block and a half from the convention center. there's a hard core i would say of around 100. a lot of simple casual observers. >> is that an american flag?
7:49 pm
>> reporter: there was one protester who had one of those small american flags and did indeed set fire to it. our cameraman caught that. that's the video you're seeing. he was cheered that particular protester as he set fire to the american flag by a couple of dozen around him. it was a reflection of the debate and the terrible state of the debate at times we're having in this political election cycle. >> can you interview any of these guys? >> reporter: i could but all you'll get is curse words. that's the level of debate that we've seen. >> i'll take the risk. ask them why they're there. ask one or two guys, if they come on and curse i warn our audience if you have young children watching. hopefully they won't.
7:50 pm
>> reporter: let me grab a couple of signs. >> jonathan is in san jose. >> we're protesting against donald trump's racial speech and standing in solidarity. >> reporter: when you say hateful speech what do you mean. >> what words. >> reporter: could you tell me specifically what he said that has upset. >> have you heard his comments against muslims and against mexican migrants, spewing hate. >> he was talking about -- he was talking about a temporary ban until we can secure and we know that the refugees are vetted. >> reporter: would you not agree in any way with a temporary ban as donald trump tries to work out what is going on. is that something you think is divisive. >> that question is so insulting i refuse to answer it. i'm not the one being
7:51 pm
interviewed coming into our country. >> i'm not the one being interviewed here. >> absolutely. it's morally wrong. >> next person. >> and unacceptable. we're standing in solidarity with muslim communities, with mexican migrant communities and people of color. >> thanks for your comments, sir. >> thanks, jonathan. >> let me walk around here a little, sean. >> you've got a hard job, jonathan. we appreciate it. why is he carrying the mexican flag, that guy? >> why are you protesting here? >> i'm against trump because he's oppressing our people. >> how exactly is he oppressing your people? >> he's putting us down, he's discriminating our people. he doesn't even know when he's talking about. >> shouldn't people come into this country legally? >> when you say he doesn't know what he's talking about, what specifically? >> he's just ignorant.
7:52 pm
he's oppressing the lower class, the middle class. >> should people come into the country legally? >> immigration is your major issue. >> i come from an immigrant family and it pisss me off to say stuff like that because it hits home. >> your family i assume immigrated legally. >> my family immigrated illegally. >> why don't you accept our sovereignty? >> i got accepted into college and stuff like that. >> do you think the people should respect the laws of the united states and the sovereignty of the united states? >> if we're being oppressed we shouldn't respect the laws. >> we shouldn't respect the laws? >> you said we should not respect the laws of the united states? >> no, we should not respect because that's a -- >> ask him if he knows what mexico does to latin american people when they come into the country illegally? >> do you know what the mexican
7:53 pm
government does to latin american people when they cross mexico's southern border and come in illegally? >> can you repeat that? >> do you know what the mexican government does to people who cross over into the country illegally? >> yeah, i'm aware. i'm aware of the violence. same thing here. there's violence. >> what are you aware that they do? what is the violence against immigrants here and illegal immigrants? >> immigrants here, the violence is they hunt them down. when you go down to the border. >> oh. >> whoa. >> that's what we warned you about, sean. you always get these elements in this crowd. we try to keep the offensive signs is out of this as well. probably about to hand it back to you. >> real quick, we'll get reaction, thank you. pretty amazing exchange. they don't know why they're there and burning the american flag and you see all the mexican flags. >> it's cowardly to burn the american flag.

we see the kind of lawlessness that president obama has been pushing. he'll get an executive action on immigration, his 2012 executive order as well, he's been pushing for this lawlessness that we see tonight. >> thank you. when we come back, more "hannity" right after this. raises your rates... maybe you should've done more research on them. for drivers with accident forgiveness, liberty mutual won't raise your rates due to your first accident. liberty mutual insurance. once i left the hospital after a dvt blood clot. what about my wife... ...what we're building together... ...and could this happen again? i was given warfarin in the hospital, but wondered, was this the best treatment for me? i spoke to my doctor and she told me about eliquis. eliquis treats dvt and pe blood clots and reduces the risk of them happening again. not only does eliquis treat dvt and pe blood clots. but eliquis also had significantly less major bleeding than the standard treatment. knowing eliquis had both...
7:55 pm
...turned around my thinking. don't stop eliquis unless you doctor tells you to. eliquis can cause serious, and in rare cases, fatal bleeding. don't take eliquis if you have an artificial heart valve or abnormal bleeding. if you had a spinal injection while on eliquis call your doctor right away if you have tingling, numbness, or muscle weakness. while taking eliquis, you may bruise more easily... and it may take longer than usual for bleeding to stop. seek immediate medical care for sudden signs of bleeding, like unusual bruising. eliquis may increase your bleeding risk if you take certain medicines. tell your doctor about all planned medical or dental procedures. eliquis treats dvt & pe blood clots. plus had less major bleeding. both made switching to eliquis right for me. ask your doctor if it's right for you.
