favor. it was polls showing a tight race in california bernie sanders says he will reif you say to concede to clinton. his goal to persuade enough super delegates to switch to support him. clinton says she expects sanders to presumably support her. sanders says she cannot expect that of his followers. >> the idea that i can snap my fingers and have millions of supporters march in line. that's not what it is about. if i am not the nominee we are going to fight to become the nominee. >> sanders is showing little indication of quitting even opening a new line of criticism. contributions for foreign governments. clinton and sanders spent much of the weekend campaigning in california. they will campaign there as well today. so will former president clinton. back to you. >> rich edson we are live for

the judge says he has a quote conflict of interest. while he is not backing down from the comments some are urging him to stop the attack. newt gingrich who is considered to be a possible vice presidential running mate for trump. >> this is the worst mistakes trump has made. i think it is inexcusable. >> attorney general alberto gonzalez says trump has a right to ask the judge to be removed from the case but not to attack his heritage. >> i would have taken a different priech. i think it's the temperature for someone who is running for the president of the united states. whenever you say sag about a judge's nationality i think it de means the office and i think it hurts the judiciary of the hole. >> paul ryan condemned trump's remarks calling them racially tinged attacks. then there is senate majority leader mitch mcconnell who says trump should be unifying the

economy selling scores and grudges. >> kelly wright thank you so much. >> now to extreme weather, the east coast is on high alert from florida to south carolina. millions of americans are bracing for as much as 8 inches of rain even tornadoes when tropical storm colin makes land fall today in the tropical state. >> it has been picking up steam bringing severe thunderstorms from the northeastern portion of the yucatan peninsula. most of the western coast is under a tropical storm warning. maria molina joins us with the latest. >> good morning. it has been a very active hurricane season already. we are just getting started. it started june 1st and we are already at the third main storm. this one is gradually intensifying. although it does appear it is rather disorganized over the gulf of mexico. a lot of thunderstorm activity not near the center of

circulation. that brings questions as far as how much it is really intensifying. maximum sustained winds are stronger as of the 5:00 a.m. advisory by the national hurricane center bumping up maximum sustained winds to 50 miles per hour. we expect it to further intensify through out the day today and eventually as it makes land fall into tonight. it is moving north, northeast at 14 miles per hour. it is a quick pace for the storm system over the gulf of mexico. as we head into late tonight it could be making land fall across portions of florida. storms still about 50 miles per hour. take a look at what happens here by tuesday afternoon. continu it could be just east of north aerial li carolina bringing in rain over many of the areas also isolated severe weather.

three people before getting into a stolen car and speeding off. officer smith was getting people out of the way when welch came barreling down the road hitting and killing him before crashing into a tree and running off. welch is expected in court today on murder charges. the greatest is now home. mohammad ali's casket arriving in his hometown of louisville. the foxing legend died from septic shock at the age of 74. he battled parkinsons for decades. hundreds of fans are visitingalvisiting ali's home and leaving pictures and throw flowers and also a memorial outside of the museum in louisville. they are mourning the death of one of the great killed in a taliban attack. david gilkie and his interpreter

>> i don't think it will impact it that much. hillary clinton is just a few dozen delegates away from wrapping this thing up. she will clinch it tomorrow. let's face it, the playing field has been tilted in her favor by the democratic party elites from the very beginning. she has been slowly crawling her way through this slog. she is going to get it done tomorrow because of the super tell gats. if she somehow loses california which is not totally implausible. she could get swept and still win because of the proportional allocation. if she loses california that is just a black eye as she wheezes across this finish line finally. >> richard weses across the finish lynn is a good way to put it because sanders is not going away. what type of damages is he doing to her not only now but possibly moving forward into the general election? >> there is no question this is a tough primary. protracted primaries tough

primaries make for better presidential candidates. what we saw in 2000 president obama had a tough primary. because he went through a tough primary he was able to destroy and eviscerate tom mccain in the general election. she is allowed to hone her skills, take on these attacks, answer these arguments that are coming against her. so when she faces donald trump making the same argument she is prepared, she is poised and ready to answer them. i think this is a benefit for the hillary clinton campaign. there's a good fire drill for what they will do under donald candidacy. as we go into philadelphia the convention this gives bernie sanders a chance to make the platform what they want it to be a more progressive platform which is a stark contrast to donald trump's race baiting hatred and straight out craziness. >> he has made it clear he wants to be a significant part of the platform. richard we were talking about

in the yucatan peninsula. he is under a tropical storm warning and maria molina is following us. it has been a busy year for a storm. >> the third main storm in the atlantic hurricane season so it has been very active. we have maximum sustained winds with colin at 50 miles per hour. it has been intensifying. the forecast is for the storm to make land fall as we head into tonight across western and northern florida. the storm is moving quickly at 14 miles per hour. a lot of the thunderstorm activity away from the center of circulation so it brings questions as far as strength. taking a look at the forecast cone you can see it is forecast to continue to move toward the northeast through the day today. there will be stronger gusts stronger than 50 miles per hour at that. the bigger concern will be the heavy rain and potential for isolated severe weather with some of the outer rain pandz th bands that move on shore. 6 inches of rain possible from florida into georgia. flooding will be a big threat with this storm. let's head over to you.

>> maria molina. thank you. hopefully all of the people will be okay. the greatest is now home. mohammad ali's casket allowing in his home town of louisville as fans around the country pay tribute to the great boxing legend. he is outside of his museum in louisville with more. >> good morning heather. this has been the scattering spot all weekend in louisville, enk ken where people are making a makeshift celebrate the grea. his body arrived here from arizona for his final jorn knee home. the town where he grew up celebrates him as a native son as well as a citizen of the world. as fans and well wishers waited for tours outside of the tiny pink house where he grew up and where he was first known as cash shoes clay.

the structure is now a museum. they got a glimpse of the man who knew ali better than most his younger brother ahmed. he shared with us what he wants the world to know about his big brother. >> i want the world to know that mohammad ali was the most genuine loving person in the whole world. he was a great champion, had conviction and love and raised up to be with god. he will be in heaven and my parents in heaven. all good people will be in heaven. >> ali's funeral is scheduled for friday. there will be a public per significance down the avenue that bears his name. the procession will travel down a street that is the same street where he had a parade in 1960 to celebrate his gold medal in the olympics. >> it will be a week of celebration. will one incredible man lauren green life for us.
