audience was the republican gop establishment. the message was essentially i get it. i can do this. >> a lot of people said they liked it. reading from the teleprompter made him more presidential. >> you can tell it was well written. whoever his speech writer is, you get it. we got to make it tighter, more scripted and crisper. the other thing that came out, clear, you know i'm a fighter. i fought for myself, my family, my business, i would like to take that same attitude but only essentially i've got your back. there is a feeling in this country as you try to look at the president opposite than the one you have, instead of apologizing for the country, maybe somebody is ready for it to go at it for them instead of against them. here is donald trump. >> i know some people say i'm too much of a fighter. my preference is always peace,

declared hillary clinton the winner. so how many people out there across the country -- in the primary states did not show up to vote yesterday because the show is over? dennis kucinich says this is a disgrace on the part of the a.p. >> what's with the associated press on this? i mean, they're supposed to report the news, not cook it in a kitchen and serve it up to the rest of the media. i think it's offensive and raises serious questions of journalistic ethics. let's look at this election as bernie sanders is looking a at it. it's about philadelphia next month and bernie sanders is going to be a powerful presence at that convention. because of the millions of people who closed ranks who said they wanted a new direction for the democratic party. >> tell you what, in terms of new direction that's exactly what hillary clinton has given us. we have had five separate slogans breaking down barriers,

all right. donald trump breaking tradition with the plan that includes focussing on democratic leaning blue states. where republican nominees do not often try to win or campaign. can trump really turn some of those blue states red? here to map out the path to victory for donald trump if there's going to be a victory is the director of the university of virginia center for politics, dr. larry sabato. dr. sabato, exciting time for you. you have been working on this almost since the last election ended. so now we have some states that could change the calculus. give me an idea of what the states are. >> okay. brian, there are two pathways for donald trump that are realistic. that are reasonable. to get to 270.

the assumption has to be by him and his campaign that he carries all of the romney states that's 206 electoral votes and yes, that includes north carolina. never easy for either side and then he has to turn the states turning blue. the first pathway is easy, focus on ohio, the key swing state, which is then right in terms -- been right in picking the presidential winner the last 30 times and no republican has ever won the presidency without ohio. add to that florida which obama won narrowly twice. the key blue state that i think trump has got to turn to win and that's pennsylvania. he's got to focus on his base which is white, blue collar workers. and there are plenty of them in pennsylvania. >> did anything change about pennsylvania or is it just the candidate that could change pennsylvania?

>> well, pennsylvania has been changing. i think it's been getting more competitive. i was just up there on monday, i was surprised by the number of legislators of both parties who told me they thought pennsylvania was very close. >> wow. >> you know, they're people who keep their earsground. they have to because their livelihood depends on it. that's path one. >> path two includes? >> path two is totally white blue collar worker. focus on your strength. you go north. yes, you have ohio and pennsylvania in there. but you try to add michigan and wisconsin. those four states plus the romney states equal exactly 270. you don't have a vote to spare, but as i always remind people, you're president of the united states whether you get 270 or all 538 electoral votes. >> some things pop up in mind

strategically. number one, lost wisconsin, did not run up strongly in wisconsin. he has to find a way to do that. if he wants ohio he has to make amends with governor kasich. that would give him a leg up perhaps with the republican -- with the popular republican governor in place who doesn't seem to be speaking to him. >> well, you know what, in politics people don't speak to you one day and turn around and speak the next. sometimes they speak blue language, and i don't mean blue versus red. remember, though, brian, the vice presidential nomination is open. there are a couple governors, scott walker, john kasich, that's wisconsin, ohio. you know, those are possibilities. >> absolutely. of course you have california and new york with donald trump also will be focussing on but a long shot. dr. sabato, i promise to talk to you 500 more times. >> i look forward to it. a major tsa fail, this fake bomb passed through security 95% of the time and a year later did they turn things around? the results are in. plus the first military miss

70% of the independents, plus the republican base, guess what? donald trump wins. i think that's what is going to come down to as we go into november. >> okay. well last night, when he was up at his golf course north of new york city, herman, i'm sure you were watching donald trump shortly after 9:00 p.m. eastern time. we heard him give a speech essentially a victory lap as we conclude the primary season. and it seemed like he had a new tone. he certainly was reading off of a teleprompter. what'd you think of that speech last night? >> i thought the speech was absolutely right on and spot on and it said exactly the tone -- set exactly tone he needs to set. now, a lot of people will make a big deal out of the fact that he used a teleprompter so he could stay on message and he did a good job. he wouldn't have read the information from the teleprompter if he didn't agree with it. obviously he did.

now, they'll make -- when i say they, not y'all. other people are going to make a big deal out of the fact that he was using a teleprompter. we have a teleprompter president. we have had for the last seven years. >> right. >> so donald trump finally uses one to make sure that he's cl r clear, concise and pivoting to what's important and i think that's why that was such a great speech. >> now, remember in 2013 the irs they targeted tea party groups, they went after the tea party groups. well, a lis has been -- list has been released. now there are 426 organizations that they went after. 40 of those names are not being not part of the new class action lawsuit. but 60 different organizations with the word "t" in its name. 33 with the word patriot. the list goes on and on. what do you think of this? >> the good news is they have finally come clean and that doesn't help the confidence of the american people that the irs is trying to be objective.

they're not. they are definitely biased and they are used as political tool. the bad news, it took a court order in order for them to come clean by identifying all of those organizations that they're going after. so that's good news and bad news. but i don't think this is the end of the story. because i believe that the organizations that are filing the class action lawsuit against them, that is going to continue to go forward. and the american people are going to learn more and more about why we must replace the tax code and replace the irs. >> well, it certainly would be easier, you know, if you did it all on a postcard and it was a flat tax or a fair tax or whatever. but if hillary clinton is elected president, she said i would be an extension of barack obama would we see this kind of targeting of conservatives in the future? >> it would continue. here's one thing that's very clear now that we are at this point.

hillary clinton would be a continuation of the barack obama administration and a lot of people are waking up to that fact. they don't want obamacare. they don't want hillary. they don't want the continued use of the irs and the tax code to try to intimidate people. the clarity between donald trump and hillary clinton is very clear. and that's why i believe that enough people are going to wake up and realize that hillary clinton is just another extension of the obama administration. >> and in many ways the damage is already done. after the 2010 election they wanted to neutralize the tea party and they effectively did this. let's move forward to something that came out recently and it is a part of a trend. at yale, there's a petition out there to change the way that the english department assigns i guess their homework and actually formats the curriculum by having less white people, authors and poets, to study.

here's the quote from the petition. it is unacceptable that a yale student considering studying english literature might only read white male authors. it's time for the english major to decolonize and not diversify their curriculum. what do you think of this? >> bull feathers. look, you go there to take the curriculum not rewrite the curriculum. i don't believe for a moment they're only studying white poets. that's crazy. but it is a trend on some campuses that some students think that they have more say in helping to write the curriculum than taking the curriculum. if i were one of the parents and my child or grandchild had their name on that petition, they would be coming home and i would be asking for a refund from the university. >> no kidding. >> that's why i didn't go to yale. >> that's right. >> herman cain from stock

from a pennsylvania shopping mall? we are now seeing how she managed to slip away with this 7 week old. surveillance video showing sharif amore striking up a conversation with the mom who also with her toddler and the newborn. the women walked through the mall. they sit down in the food court. while the mom tends to the toddler, amore picks up the crying baby. she walks away and throws away some food and then takes off with that child. the baby was found safe later at her apartment. she said she had recently lost a baby and now she faces kidnapping charges. glad that little girl is back home now. well, what a difference a month makes for the tsa. 10 million passengers waiting 30 minutes or less to get through airport security over memorial day weekend. that's thanks to major changes with the agency including adding more employees. but it was a totally different scene a couple weeks ago, you remember this. those nightmare lines at

>> it is of course symbolic, but symbols mean something. i think it will be a real milestone with my nomination for our country, but it will also send a signal around the world. >> i am pretty good at arithmetic and i know that the fight in front of us is a very, very steep fight. but we will continue to fight for every vote, and every delegate we can get. >> so that's what sanders is saying. i'm staying in it. now let's look at what he is doing. a few data points. he's laying off more than half of his staff in the next week or so. he's also going to washington on thursday to meet with president obama. we know president obama is looking to get into this race, looking to make an endorsement. it will be almost impossible to imagine he is going to endorse sanders, so you could think that an oval office meeting might be a little uncomfortable there for senator sanders.

>> reporter: but when it comes to the fight against hillary clinton, he is going to take it all the way. he previewed a little bit of that last night. also said he's going to give a major speech early next week, detailing what he believes all of the negative things that hillary clinton has attached to her and how people shouldn't vote for her as president. one of those things he believes is her foreign policy contrasting his with hers last night saying that he would be all about strengthening america and america's place in the world. here again is trump from last night. >> this is the opposite of hillary's foreign policy, which invaded libya, destabilized iraq. unleashed isis and threw syria into chaos and created the mass migration which is wreaking havoc all over the world. >> reporter: now donald trump doesn't appear to have a public schedule for at least the next couple of days but he'll be in d.c. on friday. then next week he starts to hit some of the battleground states. he also has to prepare for the

convention now which is his next big event coming up on the 18th of july. and of course he's got to figure out who he wants to have as his running mate. a lot of news yet to come for the trump campaign. >> all right, john roberts, live outside the trump tower where we heard that starbucks is open and the bathroom is open. >> and you can order a taco bowl. >> that's right. it reminded me of a key moment of the speech when he said i understand what we accomplish, but there's a new face to the campaign. a lot of experts, the ed rollins of the world, the karl roves, joe trippis will say there's a total difference. you need a different pivot from when you get the nomination to after the nomination and the question is would there be a second act? i thought that was a way of saying i do have a second act. >> well, donald trump spoke at 9:00 last night and then hillary clinton was backstage and ready to come out and she was listening to donald trump's speech in the background. clearly on her mind.

mediterranean sea. terror has not been officially ruled out as a cause just yet. two f-16 fighter jets collided midair over georgia overnight. both of the pilots were able to safely eject before the planes came crashing down. both are expected to be okay. an investigation is under way to find out what happened. this comes after a similar situation took place just last week when a pilot had to eject himself from the thunderbird in colorado. that was after the ceremonial flyover for the air force academy's graduation that pilot wasn't hurt. and sanders supporters and staffers are outraged after the associated press calls the california primary early in favor of hillary clinton. well, naturally they took to some twitter with some funny results. jeff said, quote, the a.p. has called it for the warriors. game 3 and 4 need not be played. warriors are our champs. #california primary. ray says, quote rigged system, rigged results. i do not stand with hillary,

and child abuse charges and still no word on why he was trying to take that teenage girl but glad she is okay. another story that is hard to believe. a yoga instructor is now facing murder charges. accused of intentionally driving off a 200 foot cliff with her car in order to kill her identical twin sister. witnesses say that the two sisters were fighting and pulling each other's hair and that's when allison sped up the car and drove in the rock wall and then off a cliff in hawaii. well, ann was in the passenger seat, she was killed upon impact. allison was airlifted to the hospital. police later arrested her after she tried to get on a flight from hawaii to new york. they believe she was trying to flee the country. the pair full of past troubles. they're accused of being scammers, randomly disappearing in the past. closing down a yoga studio without paying their employees and then they filed for bankruptcy before moving to hawaii and then changed their names. this is a beautiful story we
