ever hear anything about president obama's suits, how much they cost, trump's suits, how much they cost? mind your own business. right? although $12,500, i mean, what was in that thing? was it made out of gold? i'm going to google. thanks for watching, i'm megyn kelly. this is "the kelly file." tonight -- >> donald trump is temperamentally unfit to be president and commander in chief. >> the last thing we need is hillary clinton in the white house. >> donald trump is here to preview a general election matchup with hillary clinton. >> our campaign received more primary votes than any gop campaign in history. >> then donald trump is smashing the record for most votes in a primary season by a republican candidate. >> no matter who it is, no matter who they are, we receive more votes. >> his son, donald trump jr. is here tonight with reaction. >> what we've done is historic. it's not a campaign. it's a movement. >> whether you supported me or senator sanders, we all need to

keep working toward a better, fairer, stronger america. >> and now that clinton is the presumed democratic nominee, thanks to the superdelegates, where are those bernie sanders supporters going to turn? >> to all of those bernie sanders voters who have been left out in the cold, we welcome you with open arms. >> all of that, plus dr. benjamin carson joins us. "hannity" starts right here, right now. and welcome to "hannity" and tonight, donald trump and hillary clinton are now their parties' presumptive nominees so what is a general election matchup going to look like between these two political rivals? we asked donald trump about face off against hillary clinton. here's more of my interview with the presumptive republican nominee from yesterday. let's go to a general election campaign. hillary clinton is the democratic nominee. you're the republican nominee. you know, this is two very different governing philosophies here. break down where you see the biggest differences in your two campaigns and where america
10:02 pm
would head. >> well, first of all, it would be more of the same with obama and all those bad decisions. so many bad decisions have been made and you look at what's going on with the jobs numbers now. 38,000 number which is horrible. actually, it's one of the worst i guess in close to seven years. you look at so many other factors, economically. the country is really struggle. we're doing poorly and we are -- i'm telling you, this country has such incredible potential. you look also at the military where we're really depleted. the military is in such bad shape. i don't know if you saw the feature that was on the other day where our jet fighters are prepla p replacing parts from museum and going to plane graveyards to open up old planes and get parts for our current jet fighters which are very old. you have other countries with brand new stuff. it's very sad. we'll be strong on the border, be great for economic development, get rid of obamacare, replace it as you know with something very, very
10:03 pm
good. i mean, there are so many alternatives and so good by comparison. obamacare, i don't know if you saw what happened in texas, but blue cross blue shield threw obamacare up 60%. 60 pk on the numbers are getting worse than that. i understand on november 1st, new numbers are going to come out which are going to blow it sky high. it's going to make it unacceptable. >> the average -- >> we can't allow them to change the date. >> the average health care premium since obama has been president is up 40%. obamacare has not helped families. one in five american families without a single person working. one in six american males 18 to 34 that are either incarcerated or out of work then 95 million americans out of the labor force but we keep getting told even though they created 38,000 jobs, we're told unemployment number keeps going down. is that a case where they just lie to us? >> yeah, well, it's a fixed number. look, they had the worst numbers that they've had in seven years. and the employment rate went down. which tells you what i've been saying for a long time. it's a sham.
10:04 pm
it's a scam. look, the whole thing's a scam. frankly, bernie sanders has gone through it. he's seen it. the whole thing with the rigged deal going on. i actually saw it a little bit but we won by so much, massive landslides, virtually every state -- >> you think the system was rigged from the beginning and bernie had no chance whatsoever? >> i do. i think he had no chance unless he won by even bigger numbers i think he had no chance. the beauty of what we did, i won by massive landslides all over the place whether it's new hampshire, south carolina, nevada, no matter where we went and came to new york and got tremendous numbers and pennsylvania, ohio, i mean, no matter where you look, michigan, i won michigan which was amazing. but we got tremendous numbers and, you know, ohio is close. we did well. we ran against john. he did a good job there. and, you know, so many different places. florida was unbelievable. the numbers in florida. the nd of victory we had was
10:05 pm
fantastic. so, you know, i think that probably helps. that helps solve a problem where something is rigged, you solve it by winning with massive numbers. you go and you knock out your opponent, you don't have to worry about what they're doing. >> what do you make of this new book, gary burn, former secret service agent, interesting life he had. he was posted directly outside of the oval office during bill clinton's presidency. and he talks about hillary clinton lacking the integrity and the temperament to be the president of the united states. she has an explosive temper. she's impulsive. enabled by sycophants and has the disdain for the rules that everyone else has to follow. you think the media is fair in their coverage of that versus how they cover you? >> well, so far it's got very little coverage which is really amazing because basically it says her temperament is a disaster which i know. and you know. and a few people know. i don't know if the word is getting out. but this is somebody that knew them very, very well.
10:06 pm
saw her in action. and look, she was a disaster. she doesn't have the temperament. she doesn't have a lot of things to be president. including, frankly, good judgment. her judgment is horrible. and bernie sanders said that. bernie sanders said that her judgment is terrible. she doesn't have the judgment, the good judgment to be president. so you got something right. >> at a lot of these rallies, we see now, we've been able to pinpoint that there are certain groups, for example, veterans groups associated with hillary were in front of trump towers. then we see certain other leftist groups and supporters of bernie and hillary organizing at trump rallies. it culminated in what happened in san jose. i don't know if you saw the video. this poor woman was literally surrounded by a mob and waving the mexican flag in her face, throwing an egg in her face. guys being chased down the road by a mob of people, getting punched and bloodied and bruised. then san jose mayor blamed you for what happened with these
10:07 pm
people that were involved in this violence. what is your response to that? specifically. and more specifically, with somebody like angela davis urging people to, quote, do whatever is necessary to stop trump. do you interpret that as a threat? >> well, i think the mayor was absolutely a disaster. he didn't know what the hell he was doing. we had a tremendous rally with many, many thousands of people. the place was packed and they left and they met a bunch of thugs. they were absolute thugs. by the way, the woman, she was incredible, way she kept the stiff upper lip. >> she was incredible. >> she was being pelted with eggs. she was strong. this woman was incredible the way she handled it. ultimately they let her inside because they say what was happening, it was terrible. these were thugs, people burning the american flag. they were absolutely terrible. and frankly, the mayor should be ashamed of himself. he couldn't do the job. i think he was almost afraid to do the job.
10:08 pm
but these were their people. these were bernie people. they were hillary people. these people are set out to do a mission. these aren't protesters. these are much worse than ro te protesters. some of the police tell me, when you see people wearing face masks, things over their face, you know they're professional agitators and you had a lot of professional agitators, but inside that arena, that place was -- it was a love fest. believe me. and coming up, donald trump smashes the record for the most votes by a republican candidate in a presidential primary. his son, donald trump jr., is here next with reaction. and then later tonight -- >> to all of those bernie sanders voters who have been left out in the cold by a rigged system of superdelegates, we welcome you with open arms. >> i want to congratulate senator sanders for the extraordinary campaign he has run. >> donald trump and hillary clinton are both courting bernie sanders supporters so which

jr. how are you? good to follow your dad. that's a tough act to follow. >> never an easy act to follow, sean. never an easy act to follow. >> you look at this, your dad made the point on a number of occasions that a republican party that stated for years they want to be more inclusive, want to build out the party, and especially a lot of blue collar, hardworking americans that are really suffering under the obama years have come to your dad. and i don't see every republican saying, hey, this is great. >> you know what, i don't get it myself. i know we've had this conversation on the air and off in the past because it doesn't make sense to any. when i look at the hardworking union laborers, guys who built the buildings, wearing hard hats with trump stickers on it. that's a historical democratic voting bloc. they've done it ad nauseam whether it made senses or not. those guys are coming up to me, not just in new york city. this saul over tis all over the. teamst teamsters, truckers coming up saying, hey, i love what your father is doing. whether the national gets on

>> one. >> one. >> she won't deal with those people themselves. when was the last time she gave a press conference, when is the last time she gave an actual interview, other than if it's grossly prepared and everything is spoon fed to her. that's the difference. that's the problem with government. you have bloated governments where they wouldn't know how to do anything -- we run efficiently and always will. >> but maybe the story could have been a one-day story, not a five-day story. >> i don't gdisagree with that. again, i say i'm a builder, i build buildings, i build hotels. that's what we do for a living. i've been at this for four weeks. last time i was on the show, i was at this for two weeks. i think we are learning on the go, we are figuring it out as we go. my father is an opinionated guy. he believes in something principally, he's going to stand by it and fight and he's going to say what he's going to say. that's the way he is. that's what he's going to do for this country. very differently than the clintons where, hey, one week i'm this, the next week the winds have blown differently, on this i'll be whatever you want me to be so i can be president. >> that's phony but that's what

people are rejecting this year. >> without question. i think that's what people appreciate about my father. i saw this early on in hrn new hampshire, iowa. a lot of people that were undecided voters were undecided between bernie and my father. it was about i want someone who speaks the truth, someone who attacks real issues. i'm going to want someone who's not just going to pander, say the things i'm actually thinking thenning a ing then say it to my face, well, the special interests don't want you to dhoo this do something different. that's why the outside candidates have gone in there and really crushed them. if the system wasn't so rigged, bernie would roeprobably be the nominee. the system was rigged for us but we won in a landslide. >> hillary didn't get the delegate count needed the threshold. she fell short. it's the superdelegates. she has 571 to bernie's 45. >> is it's so fake. the people are finally seeing that government is about protecting themselves and their jobs. you know, the whole civil

as we look ahead to the battle that awaits, let's remember all that unites us. >> and joining us now, former clinton pollster, fox news contributor, doug schoen and the founder and president of high noon strategies, lisa boothe. i'm looking at everything bernie sanders' people are saying. the biggest bernie -- one of the biggest bernie sanders social media sites on facebook, they're just angry to no getout over this. and i don't blame them. if i was a bernie supporter, i'd be livid. >> absolutely. look, there are a lot of natural inroads for bernie sanders supporters to look at donald trump. you look at an issue like trade which is one of the reasons hillary clinton lost the michigan primary. the majority of the republicans and democrats are concerned about bad trade deals taking jobs away from the united states. that's an issue that they line up more -- they line up better with donald trump on. you also look at their desire for an outsider, someone who's outside of the establishment. there's no more insider in part of the establishment than hillary clinton.
10:25 pm
donald trump is not tainted by establishment politics. i think that's another reason they might look at him. >> let's look at the delegate count. all right, so hillary clinton needed to win the nomination outright, she needed 2,382 delegates. okay. the delegates that she actually won, she fell short by 198. 2,184. now, clinton has 571 superdelegates. and bernie has a whopping 48. >> right. >> if i'm bernie, i feel my candidate got screwed. >> i think they certainly do. lisa's right about what i've heard. what i see on social media. there's a big but. you got the president of the united states who's going to do everything he can to get bernie on board. >> his phone call didn't work too well the last time. i know he was supposed to meet with him tomorrow. >> it's a process, sean. 5-1 in the last quinnipiac poll. the bernie voters are going for hillary over trump. this was a big, big night for her. look, i've been critical of her lately and i remain skeptical

about her candidacy, but she had a very good night, trump had a bad week last week. advantage, at least temporarily, clinton. >> i actually think, especially on the trade issues, job issues, that i can see a lot of these bernie guys going for donald trump. now, we sent david webb out. we had him ask bernie sanders supporters what they thought of hillary clinton. this was interesting. take a look. >> reporter: what's the one word you would use to describe hillary clinton? >> treacherous. >> hillary clinton, uh, she said it, opportunist. >> untrustworthy. >> scary. >> reporter: what's your one word to describe hillary clinton? >> avoidable. >> aye yi yi. i don't want to use the word, crook, but, um, untruthful. >> the ordinary. >> reporter: what about you? >> traditional. >> disconnected. >> reporter: what about you?

endeerme endeerme endearment. hillary clinton's big problem is she's simply out of touch. this is a woman who is despite amassing $100 million fortunes she's not like the truly -- this is someone who said she wants to take out the coal industry. she wants coal miners to lose their jobs. that is how out of touch she is from the working class america, from, wroun, blue collar workers who feel so disaffected and left behind by this economy. >> you got it, and add to that, she's a horrible politician. she has no warmth like her husband, she can't give a speech like obama. and she could barely -- >> she barely beat bernie sanders. >> bare by beat him. i could argue without the superdelegates, she didn't beat him. >> exactly. >> donald trump jr. and the whole trump family are comp compelling advocates but donald trump's negative is higher now than hillary's and sean, $2 billion, that's a reality, will be deployed against donald trump. >> what do you think is going to be deployed against her? >> well, i don't think so far they've raised that kind of
