retirement fund, in the red for years will be completely exhausted within the next 20 years. this has another survey find that nearly 80 million americans are struggling to pay their bills. so, does our government have a plan and what does it all mean for you? >> we begin on a saturday with the 2016 campaign for president and what a weekend it is shaping up to be with stunningingly sharp -- for trump and clinton. trump rallying supporters in two crucial states today. vowing victory with or without the republican establishment. he was in south florida this morning and outside pittsburgh, pennsylvania later on in the afternoon. where he continued to defend his style saying what he thinks. >> everything's political correct. i mean, you watch what you say. you say something a little off. you end up with headlines. like a bunch of babies.

support the nominee. then there's mitt romney, who continues to assail donald trump, apparently tearing up while talking about trump and clinton being the big party's nominees, about a donor retreat romney is hosting today in utah. this comes one day after mitt romney accused trump of being a racist. >> i think his comments time and again appeal to the racist tendency that exists in some people and i think that's very dangerous. >> the rnc chairman, reince priebus, now tweeting his disapproval of that attack by mitt romney writing quote, respect mitt and differences, but couldn't disagree more. scotus too important to lose for generations. let's stop this and unify and trump, too, taking several jabs at mitt romney today. >> he doesn't like trump because i said, you can't give him a third chance. he lost the first time. he really lost the second time.

they say this man kevin james loybl opened fire on the singer last night in orlando. then they say he shot himself. investigators now try to figure out why he targeted her and if this horrendous crime is just the latest celebrity stalking type case so tragically ending in her death. casey is live if our dallas bureau with the latest. >> hey, eric. good to see you. this is just incredibly sad. police say there were about is 20 fans around the young singer at the time these shots rang out. so a lot of them witnessed this. thankfully, no one else was hurt and frankly, investigators crediting the singer's brother for that because he tackled the gunman moments after watching his sister be gunned down. 22-year-old christina grimmie had just wrapped up a concert at orlando's the plaza live venue. she was interacting with fans

when a man walked right up to her, pulled up a gun and inexplicably opened fire. grimmie was rushed to an area hospital, but died a few hours later. the 27-year-old suspect who police have identify ied, this man, immediately turned the gun on himself and took his own life. orlando police say it appears he came to do some damage. >> what our detectives are doing is going through the suspect's cell phone and computer. to see if they could find a motive for this crime. the suspect had two handguns on his person. he had two additional loaded magazines for those handguns. and a large hunting knife. >> now, here is what is still not clear. how loibl got those multiple weapons past the security guards at the venue. that is part of what police are still investigating. apparently, bags are searched,

some say is a slap on the wrist for former stanford athlete convicted of rap ere. a petition making the rounds to out him from office. more than 1 million have steined it and on camepucampus, stay tu are tstudents are planning to pt during commencement ceremonies tomorrow. brian? >> at the ste of this is is judge aaron persky, the judge last week handing down just a six month county jail sentence to former stanford university swimmer, brock turner, for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman behind a dumpster in january of 2015. since then, the judge and his family have received death threats. more than 1.2 million people have signed online petitions demanding he be unseated for handing down a sentence they viewed as far too lenient. prosecutors argue he should have

been sentenced to six years in prison instead. the judge cited turner's youth, lack of criminal history, believes a long prison sentence was too severe. opting to go with the recommendation from the county's proeditibation department for a lesser sentence including three years probation. now, at least 16 california state lawmakers have now written letters urging the california commission on judicial performance to investigate the judge. a stanford law professor is leading an effort to garner about 70,000 handwritten signatures from local voters needed to put persky's recall on the ballot. the judge ran unopposed in tuesday's primary and is set to begin a new six-year term in january. >> this decision is an outrage. it makes every woman at college in the state of california less safe. it particularly makes women at stanford less safe and we need jungs who understand the consequences of sexual violence and who want to give sentences

edifying for mr. trump and no wonder he was to upset about romney. because it resognates so deeply and so broadly. which met as they do -- in utah. this is going to be an almost impossible situation. mitt romney said he thought that 90% of republicans would ultimately wind up voting for donald trump, but i'm not so sure that's the case because i think a lot of people simply aren't saying whom they're going to vote for. or aren't saying that you know, they just can't bring themselves to vote tr donald trump or they're waiting to see whether or not tlas third party unlikely i think you would agree, but also whether or not something happens that changes the political landscape. aing lot of people are very downhearteded. a lot of republicans are very disdressed by the choice they're

leadership tell the rest of the world how we're going to fight and the weapons we're going to use. but what is out there already is is that when our troops see the taliban, they can engage them with their -- our troops don't need to be under direct fire. if they see the enemy, they can use our air power to kill the enmany i. >> i understand your opiniohlig you know, giving the tick-tock of the plans of engagement there. it's frustrating and dangerous to the troops, but you know, the president has the person meem to answer to. and the last thing they want is more engagement on on the ground. is that why the president is making this announcement? >> i believe in part the commanders on the dpround there have told the president we're going to need more fire power this summer. >> right?

>> they certainly have and to the president's credit, he has listened to the previous generals. to bring them home sooner, so i believe we are leaving the troops in place and having a looser rules of engagement in the rules of engagement. last summer during the filgting season, the fighting season is on now and it's really an opportunity to go after the enemy with the u.s. air power that's unparalleled and unprecedented in any place, especially affected there. >> i'm sure the troops don't want to be ham strung in any way. if the afghan army and police are considered corrupt and lack guidance, how is this with this approach to fighting in afghanistan and i'm sure there are people at home asking did the tens of billion of dollars in american aid not help?

win back the white house. a long title for a relatively kind of short read here. fun read. so, let's go over some of your tips. so, i picked a few out of eight sections starting with section one, tip number three. credibility trump's quality. so, what does this mean? reading dwlaszs and pretending not to. credibility trumps quantity, so, what does this mean and does donald trump have the muster? >> well, this means i started writing this book right after the 2012 tlex. so, i looked back to what i thought the republicans did ineffectively and rather than criticize president obama on substantive points, they were what i consider nitpicking, looking at the slightest, petiest detail and that was my criticism. there was plenty to criticize the sitting p president about

without trying to criticize every little thing. donald trump at this point does not necessarily pass muster on it. but there are many things that kind of give donltd, make donald trump the exception to the rule on so many issues. part of it is whoo his likely general election opponent is going to be. >> what do you mean? >> what i mean is that there are so many negatives about hillary clinton and there are so many positives to donald trump, that a lot of the things that trump may be doing wrong, that i point out in the book. >> i'm going to move on. i have it in my mind. there's a rerecent fox news pol that shows in terms of negative opinions of the candidates, i think mr. trump is a little bit of a hit of secretary clinton. but i don't have that in front of me right now, i'm going to move on. >> producers can tell me in my ear in a moment. part two of your book. basic dos and don'ts. tip number seven.

don't latiniy and what does that mean? does donald trump embody this tip? >> he does not pander to latinos. one of the interesting things about this whole thing with the mexican jung, everybody focuses on trump being racist, where donald trump pulled out one individual and said, it has to do not only with his heritage, but also the organizations to which he belongs. the real racists as i see et are all those who every day say donald trump is going to lose the latino vote because he's so strong against illegal aliens, as to imply that latino americans are against law, they are for lawlessness and will be okay with the lawbreakers as long as they share a common heritage. that's what the panderers do and donald trump does not do that, which is why he passes that point with flying colors.
