she's a firecracker with her fourth of july morning. good morning. >> for independence day, i'm trying to wear red, blue, and white. that's going to be my next color coming up for tomorrow. let's go ahead and take a look at the weather conditions across the country because we are tracking some very intense weather right now, especially across portions of the central plains. taking a look at places like kansas, missouri, and portions of ill, we had rain pushing through this area. yesterday evening we were even dealing with some tornado warnings with some of the storms that are rolling through. again, very extreme weather, large hail as welling softball size. and portions of the west, portions of milwaukee, we have lingering showers across the colorado rockies and into parts of montana. but as we head along today, we have the risk of weather.

you do have a threat for damaging wind, hail, even isolated tornadoes. believe it or not here on parts of the east coast, you could be looking at a tornado there. temperatures right now are now very warm across portions of the southern plains into the 80s in places like dallas and also houston. today they'll be heating up, 99 across dallas and a scorcher across the u.s. three minutes after the hour on a sunday morning. we're going to start your headlines with a fox news alert. three of the 20 hostages slaughtered by terrorists at a bangladesh cafe were from the united states. two students were visiting

official recommendation whether or not the justice department should formally indict hillary carolina tonight. there are reports that a decision could come in the next few weeks. if that's the case, the fbi will spend the coming days comparing clinton's 3 1/2 hour interview to the other pieces of information they've gathered. following her investigation at headquarters here in washington, clinton's campaign released a statement saying secretary clinton gave a voluntary interview this morning about her e-mail arrangements while she was secretary. she was pleased to have assessed the department of justice in bringing this investigation to a conclusion. she will not comment further on her interview. more on that in a minute. plenty of other people are commenting on her interview though. foremost among them is her republican rival donald trump who tweeted it is impossible for

the fbi not to recommend criminal charges against hillary clinton. what she did was wrong. what bill did was stupid. rnc chairman reince predistweeted hillary clinton has just taken the unprecedent step of becoming the first major party candidate to be interviewed by the fbi as part of a criminal investigation surrounding her reckless conduct. tomorrow marx two weeks until the national convection. a whole lot could change between now and then depending on what the fbi decides to do. >> it's interesting how they phrase it, this voluntary subpoena, li investigation, like she wouldn't have been subpoenaed. >> donald trump said she should be indicted. she went right to the phones and did an interview with chuck

todd. >> as best we can tell from the timing, she did the phone interview on her way to "hamilton." >> nothing to see here, nothing to see here. >> it's funny that they keep stressing it's a voluntary meeting because there's nothing anybody wants to do more on a long holiday weekend than sit down for eight hours with -- sit down for three hours wi s wits fbi agents. listen to this. >> the bottom line for me is i respect the professionalism and integrity of the officials of the department of justice handling this process. i was pleased to sit down and answer their questions today to try to help bring this review to a conclusion. i'm not going to go into any more detail than i already have in public many times as you certainly know out of respect for the process that the department is conducting.

eight hours. they got to grill me. if you remember third quarter did not ask her a whole lot of questions about the e-mail setup. they didn't want it to look political. that's not what the benghazi committee was. it was to see if she could have done anything differently. not a whole lot of e-mail questions. she says she'll talk to anybody about it. the state department sec general wanted to talk about her record keeping. she and her top aides all said no. and then they put out this scathing report and said, you guys all broke the rules and thanks for leaving us hanging. >> she hasn't done a press conference that we know of since september 14th, 2012. >> nothing since 2016. >> first of all, that i were the

at the time that stands out in my head most proud to be an american was in 2001 i was deployed with s.e.a.l. team 2 and we were overseas in europe. a lot of stuff in kosovo. a different type of conflict where we had lost s.e.a.l.s when 9/11 happen and we were at a point where we didn't know if they were going to send us to afghanistan or home as part of a rotation. ended up being flown i beach. seeing the flags on every house on independence street, the shore boulevard, that's when i realized i'm going to reenlist for the country.

what they saw. he planned this. this is typical machine or bill clinton intimidation, remind her of how she got there. >> there's a story from the federal protection detail in phoenix while this meeting was going. it talks about how bill clinton himself was rearranged motorcades that were getting clogged up at the executive terminal and delaying flights kchl you remember him ever doing anything like that where he's causing all kinds of logistical problems where he has somebody to see or somebody to intimid e intimidate? >> yeah. i actually have -- he was known when he was president and was in the secret service. he was known for impromptu off the record or meet and greet-types of things. there's a couple examples i remember in my expeditiouses

where like in new york city where all of a sudden he'd want to get out and talk to somebody and he makes it happen, no matter what. >> all right. well, your critics would say you're going against the grain and doing something you shouldn't and writing this tell-all book. what made you want to get this story out? >> well, you know, my experiences while i was there and the fact that mrs. clinton was running for president, i want everybody to know who the clintons really are. i know me speaking out is against the grain and we refer to that as talking out of school. but i feel it's important to know and the american ought to know. and one of the reasons i know so much and i was involved in this is because of president clinton's bad behavior. i was the first to be interviewed. >> one of the stories they talked about was the black eye

on bill clinton. how did he get it? >> he did have a black eye. the fact of the story is there was a fight in the private living quarters the night before and there was also a broken vase that i actually saw in the curator's office and the next time i saw him in the oval office, he had an obvious black eye and they were trying to conceal it with makeup. and when i asked about it, the assistant said he was allergic to coffee and i asked if he was allergic to coffee in one eye. >> you've seen what happens when hillary clinton is in a confrontation with somebody. what do you think her temperament was like behind closed doors in a three-hour meeting with eight fbi agents yesterday? >> i think it started out as probably pretty present and typically as the questions got harder and it was harder for her to answer, she got more

officials say it could have been worse though. >> they went on this bus and start started pulling people off before the bus became fully involved. we would have had more if it hadn't been for the efforts of our deputies. >> the bus carrying 34 people was driving along a florida highway when it ran a flashing red light and a stop sign and slammed into a semitruck. the bus driver remains in critical condition. the truck driver died at the scene. it's going to be one packed party. donald trump plans to release his full slate of speakers later this week. they're totally filled with a long waiting list of those that want to speak wednesday. he said it's going to be a wednesday release j and celebrities like mike tyson, mike ditka and bobby knight have been rumored to be taking part as well. donald trump does say all his children will be speaking. and a shocking high-speed chase with an unexpected twist.

maria molina is standing by with a look at a scorcher of a forecast. >> the temperatures heating up across parts of the southern plains and as you head out the door this morning across portions of texas, those numbers are already in the 80s across houston and dallas and across parts of the midwest and northern u.s., temperatures are a lot cooler already right now. they're only the 50s out there for places like seattle and farther east into cleveland. here's a look at what it's going to be like this afternoon. across southeastern u.s., southern plains, temperatures could be reaching the triple digits or upper 90s. and you factor in the humidity, it's going to feel a lot hotter than that. it's go doing feel like a scorcher. we have areas of rain tracking across missouri, northern illinois and elsewhere. into tonight, some of these storms could bring severe weather in the form of damaging winds, large hail, and even

young girl. it's about their relationship and it's a really wonderful, beautiful story with great themes of dreaming. the visuals are phenomenal. here is the cool thing. mark won the academy award earlier this year and he plays the big friendly giant through something called motion capture technology. he actually performs the part and they put dots on his face to create this 25-foot giant from an actual actors performance. that's why it feels so real. the film is beautiful. i recommend seeing it in 2-d. don't see it in 3-d. one of the things i love about steven spielberg is he's always made technology work. you look at jaws, an an ma tr tronic shark. i wanted to speak to him about technology. if you had to make "jaws" today what would he have done differently with today's special effect that is he used in the "bfg." i know there was a lot of issues when you were making "jaws" with

the shark but would you do it cgi today? >> yeah. it would have saved a lot of us our sanity, and we would have come out of that with good memories, but i think that the lack of shark because of the technical breakdowns of the shark in 1974 really forced me to find another way of telling the story in a more suspenseful way so if i had more of the shark, the film would not have been as effective i believe. >> guys, i can't tell you how insane that was to have steven spielberg talking to me about "jaws." that was like mind blowing. it was amazing. >> now, that probably wore you out and then forced you to sleep through the beginning of "tarzan." you went to see it and you were so tired from a flight that you slept through it? there's no review for "tarzan" because you missed the first half? >> sleeping on the job. >> the day before i saw "the

dominican republic. cs1 nunez. so we would throw. and he helped keep my arm in shape when we were deployed and i give him a lot of credit for helping me get back to being in shape for when i was able to get to shore. >> so how's the arm doing now, after the surgery? >> it's doing good. starting the rehab process and now we're excited to just get back to work and hopefully get back out here as soon as i can. >> so this has a spring training kind of feeling to it. the stadium not as large as some of our nation's big ballparks, but 50,000 people living at ft. bragg, who will have an opportunity to kind of go through this lottery system to get tickets for tonight's game. it's got to feel amazing just being down there, watching this park all come together, right? >> oh, yeah, like i was telling these guys earlier, it's amazing -- i was talking to some people who were working offen the field just a few months ago, and they themselves are impressed at how far this has come and what this has turned

going forward. in other words, if you had it reversed, it would be in retreat. so when you're leading into battle, that would be going forward. on the right side, only would it be reversed like this. >> i want to ask you about this. this is what a lot of people put on the front, affixed to the front of their house. what if you want to put your flag that you have affixed to the front of your house at half-staff. >> obviously, your flag isn't meant to go half-staff, it's meant to be up here. the way you can put this at half-staff or represent this being at half-staff, you put a streamer off the top, a black streamer that comes down, and that would be representing the flag is at half-staff. >> and when you do have a flag on a flag pole and you're putting it half-staff, you would fly it to the top and bring it down to half-staff. and when you're retiring it, you bring it back up to full and back down the retire it. >> and real quick, as you fold a flag, there's a certain way we need to hold our hands, as well. >> but there is, but for a person who's taking it off of their house, it's not going to happen, because it's too many.
