sheets fired. >> an unknown whooit male white in a green vest. >> body armor. >> a fox news alert, a man believed to have shot ask killed dallas police officers in cold blood is dead. kdfw reporting the suspect shot himself after barricading himself and shooting at officers for hours. >> this coming after a tragic night in texas. five police officers murdered by snipers during a protest. at least six others are wounded.
1:01 am
people running for their lives through the streets when the protests exploded into chaos and gunfire. >> there were two snipers opening fire from parking garages. officials believe they wanted to kill as many cops as possible. >> this incredible new video shows a man with a gun shooting outside a building downtown. right now, three people are in police custody. >> told our negotiators that the end is coming, and he's going to hurt and kill more of us and that there are bombs all over the place in this garage and in downtown. >> this is what we know right now. five officers are dead. 11 shot in total. three people are under arrest. a fourth suspect is dead, killed by his own gunfire. we have fox news team coverage for us this morning. let's get right to casey spiegel, covering this for us all night long. he's live for us in dallas with
1:02 am
the latest. good morning. >> good morning, ladies. as we speak, dallas s.w.a.t. officers are is he the said to be tearing down and wrapping up. a tense standoff that lasted for showers with one of the suspects. the dallas police chief says that the suspect had been holed up in a parking garage down the road there just across the street from where this happened. the parking garage is on the left-hand side of the road across from the green bank of america building. police say the person had warned that he would hurt more officers and that he had planted bombs around downtown. but so far, that has been unfounded. >> okay.
1:03 am
did we loose casey? >> we are hear. we are pausing because we wanted to show some video for you that showed some of the gunshots. but police say that the shooting broke out about 8:45 as the protesters were wrapping up their event in downtown dallas. 11 officers total with the dallas police department and also the dallas area rapid transit team were hit as we have been reporting, five have since died, others said to be critical and in surgery. now, eyewitnesss describe the panndaemonium as people literaly scattered in every direction, not knowing where they shots are coming from. listen. >> there were five or six and -- shot down. it was around like we were just walking through the park. >> this video sent out by the
1:04 am
associated press shows a man with a rifle hiding behind a concrete pillar and shooting. police have characterized this as a sniper style attack. the man seen in this video is believed to be the one who is said to have taken his own life after that tense standoff this lasted for hours. now, three suspects are currently in custody this morning. a woman and two men all are being questioned at this hour by dallas police. ladies. >> i understand that those individuals that are currently in custody were stopped in a vehicle. is that correct? do you know anything about that? they were inside a mercedes. is that true? >> yeah. there were two men that reportedly put a camouflaged bag quickly int trunk of a mercedes and reportedly sped off from the scene. it caught police eyes and then they followed those individuals
1:05 am
and they made their way a few miles south of downtown dallas and those two people were taken into custody. so those two mep from the mercedes and one other, a womg who was detained and taken into custody near the parking structure back there where these shots were believed to have come from. so, between, three suspects this custody. one suspect reportedly has taken his own life here tonight. >> do you know if that woman was with that suspect that had taken his life? because i know they were both in that same vicinity of that parking garage. >> right. unfortunately the police haven't given specifics in terms of what made them, you know, single out this particular woman. they just said a female was in custody, taken into custody near the parking garage and then the two males, they gave a little bit more specifics about the mercedes and the police tailing them and all that. but as far as the woman that
1:06 am
we're talking about here, unfortunately, police are not e releasing that information right now. >> and the people that they do have in custody, do we know if they are cooperating? i know that there was word of these possible bombs hidden all over some parking garages. are they cooperating and are they looking for more suspects? >> well, what's interesting is that we talk about the bombs. the suspect before he reportedly took his own life told police that he had planted bombs, quote, all over downtown dallas.. but what was interesting about that was that we did not see any change in the scene here. we haven't seen any bomb sniffing dogs, no teams out here or anything like that. we did not see police officers sweeping the area. we're only 2 1/2 blocks from the crime scene from where these officers all went down. so it's unimaginable, really, wh this scene was like. but as far as the suspect that they have in custody, whether
1:07 am
they're being cooperative in the questioning and things like that, that is not being released at this point. keep in mind, this is an extremely fluid situation and not only are police dealing with trying to get to the bottom of what with happened here, but their hearts, as you can imagine, extremely, extremely heavy as they troy to go about their job and they try to go about conduging their business because they've lost five of their own tonight and others are critical ask still in surgery fighting tore their life. so very somber and just an absolute horrific night here in dallas, texas. >> cannot imagine. >> terrible, terrible situation. >> thank you very much. we will check back with you as it develops. we have seen protests erupting all over america in the wake of the louisiana and minnesota shootings. >> and president obama calling those shootings a problem for all americans, not just minorities and tensions reach a boiling point across the
1:08 am
country. >> garrett is live in washington, d.c. with more of the nation's reaction. garrett. >> heather and patricia, this was not just dallas. these protests took place all over the country last night from new york city to los angeles, chicago, atlanta, seattle, and they're in washington, d.c. this comes two weeks -- this comes after two incidents this week in which black men were fatally shot by police. the first came early tuesday morning in baton rouge, loose louse, and it was caught on video. two police officers responded to an anonymous caller who said they were being threatened by a man outside a store. two officers responded and you can see them holdsing down alton sterling before faithly shooting him. the second shooting came a day later outside st. paul, minnesota, and the aftermath was caught on video.
1:09 am
32-year-old philando castile was pulled over, his girlfriend and daughter in the car. immediately after the shooting, he's slumped over and covered in blood. yesterday, the governor said while we still don't know all of the takts, no one should be shot and killed for their taillight being out. >> would this have happened if the those passengers and driver were white? i don't think it would have. so i am forced to confront and i think all of us are forced to confront because this kind of racism exists. and this is coming up on all of us to do whatever we can so his that it doesn't happen, it doesn't continue to happen. >> last night, president obama weighed in on the shootings and said this is an issue the entire country should be concerned about.
1:10 am
>> this is not just a black issue, not just a hispanic issue. this is an american issue that we should all care about, all fair minded people should be concerned. >> and we're told the president has been briefed on the shooting of laufrs in dallas and has asked him tooes team to keep him updated as they get more information. >> gard, thank you very much. we're going the take a look at some live pictures for you from dallas as we bring in rod wheeler. he's the former d.c. detective and fox news contributor. rod has been with us all evening long. thank you so much for stick around, rod. >> absolutely. glad to be here. >> from what i understand, and tell me if this is correct, this is the deadliest day for law enforcement accepts 9/11. >> that's right. it's the deadliest day and it's the darkest day for law
1:11 am
enforcement. just last night, five dallas police officers sacrificed their lives. you know, what's interesting, though, about this whole situation is that these police officers that wound up killed and shot and injured, they were protecting the protesters. so these individuals that startinged, ambushed, cob can expired to kill these police officers were the individuals that were mrauts were out there supposedly protecting. so, again, we see this attack now, this assault on american law enforcement. and i'll tell you, heather, i really hope that president obama comes out early this morning and spokes out against this horrific attack against these police officers like he did against the attack or the deaths of the two individuals this week. we shall see if that's going to be the case. >> and we are waiting that live from poland. if that does, in fact, happen, we think we will bring that to you live. >> this has taken things to an
1:12 am
incredibly new level. it had to be a planned strategic ambush coordinated attack. and this is obviously, it seems, the work of a group that planned this well in advance. >> you're exactly right. and actually, i've been saying that all night long. let me share with you real quickly some things that we learned early on about these suspects. they were heavily armed and according to some of the eyewitnesss in dallas, it appears as though these suspects were armed with ak-47s, possibly semi automobiles and some of the eyewitnesses say some of the suspects had on body armor. if that's the case and from the position in which these guys were shooting at the police officers, that clearly tells me that this was a planned attack. this wasn't just a situation where they guys decided to have a conversation with the police. they waited for police to get
1:13 am
into a strategic position and that's when they attacked and killed these police officers. they still continued to protect and try to protect the protesters. >> so planned for some time, then do you believe that this was not a direct response to just the two shootings that have happened within the past couple of days, that being in minnesota and louisiana? how long do you think this was planned and do you think that they were just waiting for a moment of opportunity? >> you know, i think you have it firth out, actually. i think this was an attack that was planned for some time and i think they saw this opportunity to kind of put themselves along with the black lives matters group and the other protesters and use that as their vessel to shoot at these police officers. this did not occur just last night. this is something has had to be well planned out. and the individual who wound up committing suicide just a few
1:14 am
memberships ago, he said to the police there were bell other death, more death, they were bombs placed around the city. atf is involved in the investigation and they're examining some of the materials to see if there's any substance to what this guy was saying. this thing had been planned out for a while. again, they hijacked this prosecute protest and then caused the deaths of these officers. >> it's so harlt breaking to wake up for dallas this morning. it's obviously not going on be business as sush. this is a huge crime scene. how do you think this will unfold with law officers of trying to keep this city on its feel but dealing with this enormous undertaking? >> right. well, this is going the be a tremendous responsibility that the city of dallas is going to
1:15 am
have to endure. and they're going to have the support of law enforcement all across the country. they're already started receiving support from many police departments. but even beyond the police department, this case clearly illustrates that there's a major crisis in this country. and until we get leadership in certain positions in this country, we're going to continue to relive this.. we have to stop throwing police officers under the bus every time there's a situation going on. that is not to say that police officers don't make mistakes. that's not to say we have rogue cops within the ranks. yes, we do. we try hard to get writ of those folks. but at the same time, 99% of our police officers put on that fun form each day, they go out and sacrifice their lives so they can keep us safe. and i think we need to give them a lot more respect. >> and based on what you just said there, how difficult will it be for mott only the officers
1:16 am
there t in effect specific dallas area, but for law enforcement all across the country tore their loved ones, to accepted them out the door this morning to go ask do these jobs where clearly their workplace, is not a safe place for them? >> that's right. it's not going to be an easy task. and i'm sure family members of police officers have to endure this day in ask day out. but, again, i really want our president, our national leader to come out and speak out against this activity because, i'll tell you, the speech that he gave a couple of days as wag a weak speech. he has to speak out against this in order to try to -- >> what are the chances of copycat attacks taking place across the country? is that something that we need to be concerned about? >> absolutely. i think we should be concerned about copycats and whether or
1:17 am
not there's any other individuals that conspired with these people to pull off this attack. and i keep saying that for a reason. because the way that this attack went down was not an impromptu attack. they had to have help from others individuals and we need to find out -- and that's what law enforcement is doing now -- trying to find out who could have been involved with these people. were there other individuals, are there other attacks being planned against law enforcement. all of these questions are diligently being pursued right now as we speak. >> we will keep you with us throughout the rest of the morning. let us know if you get any additional information. >> okay. thank you. joining us right now is a wps from the shooting, lewis palez. are you there? >> yes, ma'am, i'm here. >> did you get your name right? >> that's exactly right. >> can you tell us what you
1:18 am
witnessed? >> me and a friend were riding bicycles down pam. we happened upon the protests. we were spec tating, basically. once the protests stopped at the museum, we watched and it was very, very peaceful. there were police officers. they seemed calm. everything seemed to be fine. the crowd started heading down commerce street going east. we happened to go around themy sue yumm so that we ended up small half a block behind the rest of the crowd. we were going in the same direction. all of a sudden, the crowd just parts. we thought maybe there was a fire tracker. the crowd started screaming and running. we starting walking towards the crowd because at that point, we didn't feel in danger. when we get closer, that's when the shooting really started.
1:19 am
i hit behind a car and people started coming in our direction. we ran towards the museum and hid on the west side of themy see yumm. approximately 20 people were hiding by the door. at that point, the cop started pushing us trying to get us out of that area. the shooting was exactly in our direction. and it was awful. the number of people running and scream b,.it was pretty chaotic. >> you said you heard the shots fired. do you know about how long did it last and what exactly did you hear? >> i couldn't tell you how long it was. what i can tell you is the medical -- there was a pervasive smell of gunpowder. so i knew there was a lot of
1:20 am
shots fired. and something that i haven't mentioned in the news, there was a gas from -- like it was the original shot, it felt like there was a warning shot, then there was a gap of time and then the shooting really started. but i couldn't tell you in numbers because by then we were trying to figure out how to get out of there. >> but you felt like you heard one shot first and then there was a delay and then multiple shots? yeah. because when we were leaving, there was an amount of people packed into a three-lane road. so i really -- i was worried that a lot of spectators were going to get shot, a lot of bystanders. so, you know, i felt, after thinking about what happened, that there was a gap in time
1:21 am
between the first shot when the crowd scattered and when we actually heard the shooting from the police officers. you also said this a ton of people were running towards you, they were scared, they didn't know what was going on. were those people saying anything? would you describe the looks on their faces. >> at the very beginning, there were quite a few people that did not seem that concerned. i mean, we really thought it was a fire cracker or just -- nobody knew what was happening. lots of speculation. but once the shooting really started, after that gap of time, then you could see the terror on people's faces. across the street, i saw somebody carrying a baby. and they were not being careful with the baby, but i could tell that they were really very
1:22 am
scared. that's when i got scared is when i saw somebody coming from the crowd and i could see the real fear in their eyes. >> how long were you hiding in the area that you were before you felt that it was safe for you to move on sthp. >> well, we were behind themy sue yumm for approximately four or five minutes. i happened to have my gps watch on so i have -- i actually have all of the areas that we ran around trying to find a way to get home.. but we tried to go north to get back to our apartment and the police officers were actually pushing us south. so there was a period where we were kind of running back and forth on the treat just because it was so chaotic. but we were in that area for a good five minutes. >> in fact, i could just ask you one more question because we have an address. you said you were running around and it was chaotic.
1:23 am
what was law enforcement doing? were they directing you at all? >> well, i will tell you, as we were running away, every single police officer we saw was running straight in towards where the danger was. we happened to have just finished talking about what an awkward time for the police officers in the area that were protecting this march, but they did not hesitate. we happened to be standing right next to about five police cars that were blacking commerce and as soon as the shootings started, they all got into their cars and head straight into the shooting. so just immense bravery on their part. once they realized the crowd was getting out of control, some of us coming into the area started trying to corral the crowd out of that area. but the very first police officers, the ones that were
1:24 am
closest, they ran rate in without letation. >> thank you so much. we appreciate you giving your your account of the situation. we're glad that you are safe. >> yes, we were. we were very glad to get home. >> so glad that you're okay. thank you very much. >> thank you. >> incredible how he describes that it was an awkward situation where the police were protecting the protesters and yet they were ready to just right in and help them and their fellow officers. >> running directly into danger, which is what they're trying to do. joining us now, former lad detective mark ferman. thank you so much. you were just listening, i'm sure, to our witness. were you able to hear what he had to say about law enforcement running into danger, you know, that's what you're trained to do. well, it is what you're ained to do and you don't really think of it as run intoog danger. it's running into -- now you're
1:25 am
on the job. that's exactly what you're trained to do. and you run towards the fire. you don't run away from it. so, you know, they don't -- officers don't see themselves as that being a heroic act. that's what they do for a living. that is the hembleness of it. the bravery of it is people that lead normal lives and don't see this kind ofd danger watching humans run towards danger. it really sets them back. and that's what i heard in his voice.. >> mark, what is your take on this? base based on what we know, all evidence would show that this looks like a planned, coordinated attack. what is your gut on what you think these shooters agenda may have been? >>. >> when you look at it, i've been listening to the broadcast of rod wheeler.
1:26 am
he has a lot of good points. i think rod and i both agree that this was not a plan attack in response to baton rouge, louisiana or in minnesota. that this attack, to have this attack was a long time in the making. to be able to facilitate, the planning, multiple people. it's not something that's going to come together over a couple of days. so it's a coordinate t add tad, but the ideology or the motivation with trying to hijack a peaceful demonstration and the opportunity to have law enforcement in a relaxed environment, you know, they were reportedly -- and, you know, i
1:27 am
wonder if it was salvaged. so whenever the officers were parking their vehicles or taking a break, they would have an opportunity to have officers that had their guards down somewhat, you know, to have that maniel centers in one location. that is what i'm kind of reading into that. >> this has been described as a triangular attack. our witness was just speaking and this was the first time we heard that. he said there was a gap. there was an original shot, his words, possibly a warning shot followed by multiple gunshots. what do you make of that 12347? >> well, when people talk about trianglezati trianglezation, they're talking about shooters in different locations. so when the victims receive fire, they actually run in to the next level of fire.
1:28 am
and it's an ambush of triangulation. it is a military tactic, a tactic that s.w.a.t. teams know, police officers understand it and in that situation, of an elevated fire, you have to run towards the fire to get out of the kill zone. but it souns sounds like that the kill zone was fairley large and the gunmen that were placed -- where they placed themselves gives them a long periods to actually take aim and loot at their vijts. >> that's interesting that you mention that would be a military tactic. what type of experience or what do you think about background of the shooters would be involved 123 this would be so strategically planned. >> a lot of this is out in the
1:29 am
military world. you don't have to be in the mild military to learn these tactics. unfortunately, you can watch some movies and understand it. guerilla tactics, terrorist tactics and let's mott kid ourselves, we might have actually entered into a new period in american crime where we have terrorism for no other person than to kill a concern group ooh individuals and those people cops. you know, it's one thing to have terrorism in the middle east where they actually have a religious drive that is, you know, something that they quite possibly don't even understand themselves but it's been going on for centuries. and it's quite another thing to acquire and evolve into a way to commit terrorism within our
1:30 am
other boarders har phenomenon -- to get it to stop. >> mark, how were they able to get this firepower in their and set is themselves.up and position themselves ask get this all at the ready without being seen by this police presence? >> well, you know, they were in a barking garage. you can serve drive in there with a vehicle the day before. the day of the event. and ernl you could keep everything under wraps until darkness. and you can, quite possibly when the asession is somewhere else, you would probably have. by that time, it was obviously
1:31 am
too late. people are reacting to the give up fire. so that is r isn't an issue, but this is exactly how the one suspect and quite possibly all the suspects were caught. the police with so many police officers, they were able to actually control the perimeter that they actually trapped the suspects within the perimeter. and by doing that, they actually got the one suspect without even leaving the garage. he was trapped there and then they got the other suspects that let me tell in the vehicle. so that isn't that difficult because you can't look at everything all the time. days before. it's not like the president is going to come in and speak at this building and the secret service is going to come in three days before and search it and, you know, do all the
1:32 am
security briefings with all the people. this is a peaceful demonstration. this is crowd control. this is not building control. this isn't hi ground control. it isn't any of those things. but it will be in the future. >> i know you are coming back. we're going to reset right here, though. . but thank you so much and we'll join you a little bit later. and if you are just joining us, we are following breaking news in dallas. five police officers killed in cold blood by snapers during a protest the the one suspect who was holed up in a bark garage firing police for hours just killed himself. >> you can see people there running for their lives through the streets when a protest erupts into chaos and gunfire.
1:33 am
at least six others police officers are wounded. three others suspects are in custody right now and their roles are not yet known. let's get right to casey in dallas. he's been following this for us all night long. >> well, you talk about those three suspects, the dallas police say they have in custody. i know a little bit of information about them. one is a female who had said to be taken into cut not far from the badging garage down the road there where all this activity happened earlier this evening. and then there are two males in custody who were seen putting a camouflage bag into the trunk of a mercedes, jumping into the trunk of a car and speed away. delays dallas police arrested them not far from here. eyewitnesss on the ground that we have been talking to since we
1:34 am
arrived describe a scene of chaos and reports of up to 50 shots fired. listen. >> oh, my god. it can't be -- >> cell phone individual yes shows the crowd scattering around 8:45 local time, 9:45 eastern just as what had been a peaceful protest was about to end. police investigators say this -- the shots came from above the crowd, meaning a sniper's perch that they've narrowed down to a nearby parking garage. the associated press has released this chilling video of what appeared to be a man with a rifle hiding behind pillars firing that weapon. it is believed it is the same man who engaged police with gunfire for more than two hours, vowing to hurt more officers, but ended up taking his own life
1:35 am
a short time ago. however, police have not ruled out the idea of any additional gunmen being involved. here is the police chief. >> we still don't have a complete comfort level that we have all the suspects. so we will continue a very, very rigorous investigation and search of downtown we're likely to be working throughout the early morning hours of friday inspect we are satisfied that all the suspects have been captured. >> now, d.a.r.t., as it is known here, or dallas area rap i didn't tell yid transit has identified their police officer who was killed in the line of duty tonight. the very first police officer for that department who has lost his life serving, 43-year-old brent tomp is his name.
1:36 am
that is according to the d.a.r.t., dallas area rapid transit, 43-year-old brent thompson, one of their deceased officers who had been with the department since 2009. so in the coming hours, we will see their pictures, hear about how they were husbands and upstating members of the community. again, people here reeling, just trying to get their meendz around how this happen in the street it is of dallas tonight. >> husbands, fathers, wives. so we have five officers who have died. we have at least six other officers booel being treated from injuries. from what i understand, possibly one civilian. do we know anything about those who are still being treated, their conditions? >> that is where it gets
1:37 am
confusi confusing. and after that information was released, then we heard that four officers died and then a little later that five officers have died. so the numbers are muddy now in terms of if some of the officers who were critical that they had talked about earlier were the ones who later lost their battle at the area hospital or if it was someone who passed away in surgery. we don't though. but officers over at parkland hospital, which is not far from here, a major level one drama center, that's where john f. kennedy was taken when he was shot here in dallas. at parkland, they have some of the best medical priors in the business and they were worng working around b the clock to say those officers. >> casey, thank you very much.
1:38 am
we will be checking back in with you throughout the morning. we have seen protests erupting all over america in the wake of the loose louse and minnesota shottings. >> president obama calling those shootings a problem for all americans, not just minorities as tensions reaching a boiling point acro krocross country. >> garrett has more on the nation's reaction. >> good mortgage. these protests across the country coming in the wake of the two police shootings, black men both of which were caught on camera. the first, two police officers responded to an anonymous caller said they were being threatened by someone with a gunl. you can see the two officers tackling and pinning down alton sterling before faithly shooting hill. sterling had a gun at the time, although it's not clear in the video if at the police were
1:39 am
aware of that. the u.s. department of justice has launched a civil rights investigation into that shooting and is now monitoring the investigation into the second shooting which took place a day later on wednesday outside st. paul, minnesota. 32-year-old philando castile was shot after being pulled over. his girlfriend and his daughter was recorded on video. yesterday stai vigil in st. paul, the governor said he didn't think this would have happened if the driver and passenger had been wide. >> all the facts aren't anyhow known, but from the evidence that's been presented, the video that was taken, nobody should be shot and killed in minnesota for a traffic -- a taillight being out of function. nobody should be shot and killed
1:40 am
while they're seated in their car without a very, very different kind of response. so i'm heart broken for minnesota. >> protests bring up across the country last night from dallas to new york city, los angeles, chicago, atlanta, seattle and here in washington, d.c. president obama weighed in on the shootings and said this is an issue that the entire country should be concerned about. >> not just a black issue. not just a hispanic issue. this is an american issue that we should all care about with, all fire minded people should be concerned. >> we're told the the president has been briefed on the shootings in dallas. he has asked him team to give him more information throughout the morning. he is currently in poland.
1:41 am
>> ask we are monitoring that in poland and as soon as he begins speaking, if he references this and has anything to say about it, we will certainly bring it to everyone at moment. >> thank you, garrett. joining us now, rod wheeler once again on the phone with us been rod, thank you for joining us again. and i wanted to ask you what we. you just heard garrett talking about the two fatal shootings that have happened within the last week. >> right. >> and you believe, though, that this was not directly planned following those shootings. >> that's right. i think this attack, christ attack is what i'm calling it that occurred on the dallas police officers last night, i think that attack had been b planned for a period of time now. and i think the suspects just saw the opportunity to hijack the protests and just kind of carry out their attack as part of that. why do i say that? here is why. when you look at the type of ammunition these individuals is
1:42 am
brought, the kind of weapon that they used and the fact that these individuals, according to some witnesses, were actually wearing body armor and they had strategically placed themselves in a garage whereby -- because, you see, the officers and take a straight 5i78, these individuals planned this thing, they knew exactly what they were doing and this was their opportunity to attack. this other individual, the last individual who killed himself, according to the police chief last night, he said this person actually said there were bombs placed strategically around the city and more police officers would die. billi well, that tells you then and there they had been thinking about this attack for a period of time. mark mentioned earlier when we were speaking that this wasn't a situation where the president was coming into town or they would be looking for snipers or looking tore something. this is something that no one
1:43 am
expected. >> right. >> how do you know law enforcement across the country will be react to go that fact this morning? >> that's an excellent question. the officers in dallas was there for one reason. that's the protect the protesters. they wasn't giving them the opportunity to express that. these gunmen and this woman that was arrested, all they knew was they wanted to kill innocent people and they did that and used the police officers as their target. going forward, police downtowns aall cross the country, they're going to be on high alert now. unfortunately, i don't think this is going to be the last police shooting that we see where you have these types of terrorists aiming at cops.
1:44 am
i think we're going to see a lot bit more of that. why do i say that? because you can hear it on the streets. you go to some of these neighborhoods and that's all people are talking about with. >> and you mentioned people on the streets saying that they want to kill officers. they're on social media almost immediately as this is happening already, you know, saying that this is a good thing and comments like that. in terms the of the firepower that was used, let's go back to the crime scene. who is investigating at this point? what are they looking for and what do we know about the firepower that was used? >> it sounded to me like they
