nomination. he turned to a traditional party stalward to be his party's nomination. >> he bungled the roll out and pence will not see a bump out of it much because pence is not exciting. and the voters that trump needs to win over is swing voters. pence will shore up the conservatives and likely to say when they look at trump, he's better than she is. trump needs swing voters and he is likely to see a bounce out of the convention. >> katy, clinton at 47 and trump at 43. we can expect each candidate to get a bump out of the conventions, but where do we go from there? >> it is interesting to see that clinton's lead has narrowed.

injuries that happen in the arrest. ladies, thank you for joining us. he had been on bike patrol and responsible for belting fridayy gray in and he didn't face the most serious charges, that man was already cleared who was driving the van. we saw evidence they had swung rolled and through a stop sign in another. it seems like the evident is not coming through for the prosecution. >> the defense is police officers themselves were in danger. evidence shows that freddie gray was combative and it would have been dangerous for the police officers to put him in. the police officers felt themselves they were in danger.

it shows that police officers are in danger. >> on the defense side is. the neursurgeon said the neck injuries injured immediately before the final stop. one with of the theories was he was asking for help and there were signs that they should have noticed his neck was broken and they brought out two doctors to say that was not the case. the defense brought in an expert witness. if he had trauma, it was not from the beginning but at the very end and the police officers could not have been reckless, because they didn't know it was going on and that was the central theme. we have to remember this is trial number four and we have 0 conventions and three acquittals and only mistrial that we had was the only jury trial of the

that isis had any direct contact with the suspect. joining us is general jim keene. isis would have us believe it is an ideologically pure organizations. the guy who carried out the attack had a reputation of being a heavy drinker, womanizer, guilty of spousal abuse. not exactly a poster child for allah. could he in fact be an isis recruit? >> absolutely. he could certainly self radicalize himself. when you do an autopsy on isis terrorists, most of them have criminal backgrounds. most of the european terrorists have run-ins with the law before they commit themselves to commit suicide in the name of isis and kill their fellow citizens. that history has been there. obviously isis doesn't advertise it very much. but by and large, the terrorists

do have shady backgrounds. >> if you can successfully stamp out this so-called caliphate that exists in syria and parts of iraq, can you prevent this kind of attack in the future? >> well, i think we lost opportunities to stop what's happened in europe. when you think about it, the isis moved into syria, jon, in 2012 with several hundred fighters out of iraq, all former al qaeda guys. they established a bona fide safe haven there because of the civil war that was taking place. nobody would go near them because they were preoccupied with assad. in two years' time they grew that organization to 30,000 firefighters who came from all over the world. in 2014, they invaded iraq. they started beheading americans. and we've declared war on them. this is the point, jon. if in six months after we declared war on ice, if we had
