her assistance. i don't think that's true. in this setting, when you're sitting with another world leader and you're talking about -- on the merits, trade, whatever it is. if you are asked about trump, don't take the bait. say i was at the convention. you have my speech. there will be plenty of time to talk about that another time. right now i'm here with the leader of singapore. let's talk about that. that's what i think he could have done. on donald trump, let's say it was a great tactic. if you think it was a great tactic to go after hillary clinton and pivot. that's fine but that won't be the news story in the next few hours because donald trump came out and attacked paul ryan and john mccain. now you have more intra- party war fare. >> saying he won't support -- >> he's not prepared to support them after they stuck their necks out for him. it wasn't just paul ryan and john mccain that had to distance themselves on the con comments. every republican that has a tough race. acott. it's like a wholesale destruction of the republican party when he actually has everything going for him if he

economy. it is true, the story about the economy, abysmal numbers that came out friday with 1.2% economic growth last quarter. that story got buried by the con remarks. it doesn't mean that story is dead. that is what the numbers were from the quarter. there are a lot of other numbers in there. i know you want to move on. anyway, i think the mayor is right. >> i want to move on but hit that point you're talking about, the economy. >> those are excellent point. >> mac a billboard out of it. >> those are typical political points and donald trump is atypical. it's not just here. you hear it everywhere else. he did well in the primary but has to pivot back to the more traditional campaign for the general and he's saying, no, i don't. and who are we to sit here and say, you crushed it in the primary, 16 opponents, took them out early, when no one else thought you could. why should he pivot to a traditional? >> to win. >> nine points he's trailing by. >> today.

speech -- he was making a lot less in the years directly after president. he didn't make start making half a million dollars per speech until 2009 when she became secretary of state. doesn't that smell fishy to you a little bit? in fact, of the 13 times he has ever made $500,000 or more, 11 of them happened under her watch. schweitzer on "hanity." >> the seriousness behind this is we provide technology and have this initiative with the kremlin. and it's going to strengthen relationships between the united states and russia. the problem is that the 28 american companies who participate in this initiative, of those, 17 of them are major clinton foundation donors. and on the russian side, the person that is running this initiative and some of the participants are also giving money to the clinton foundation. it's an example of sort of a kroeny relationship. or the people that are participating have financial ties to the clintons. >> again, another point on the merits, juan, that donald trump could say this is what we're talking about when we talk about the elites are too tied in. they have it all wired up here, even with russia. >> he has a lot of ties with russia. >> where are they? what ties? >> oh, gosh, mannaforte has ties. he has business ties.

arguably, that's one of the reasons he won't put out his tax returns. there may be some backing from russian oligarchs and the like. this is a legitimate issue. >> this issue has always bothered you. >> the clinton foundation issue. whether or not -- i said there's a quid pro quo, then the deals and contributions that came especially from foreign governments while she was secretary of state. i understand the fbi is still looking into this. >> and john podesta sat on a board of a company that took an investment from a putin company. that, according to peter schweizer, if you're talking about ties to russia, aren't they at least x'd out right there? doesn't she want to change the is subject now that this is exposed? unless it's not true. >> imagine if you had someone other than trump running. you would really have an issue. he can't even understand -- >> imagine cutting a deal to sell 25% of uranium production. imagine cutting a deal that they did.

groups are demanding, among other things, reparations, an end to the death penalty and legislation to acknowledge the effects of slavery. education, mental health and jobs programs. so, kimberly -- >> yeah? >> does this strike you as reasonable? >> i don't know. unfortunately for me, when i hear black lives matter, i really think of a group that is, at its core, divisive, that calls for violence, that has no respect for police officers or their families or their lives. so, to me, it's not a group that i think has standing and credibility to be part of a unification and peace process going forward. >> you know, i think it's 43% of american support black lives matter but 36% say something a little different than what you're saying. they say they're unclear on their goals. i would agree. they've never been clear on what they want. >> don't you think you should be

clear about a group and what they stand for before you endorse them or say you can agree? the idea of lives mattering -- of course black lives matter. of course, police officers' lives matter. when did we become so segregated to decide who has the right to announce and say only their lives matter? it's a little bit foreign to me. i have a little bit of a melting pot living in my body. >> what do you mean by that? >> i'm irish puerto rican. we have the best parades. i go to both parades. >> lot of parades. >> yeah. >> they start off by saying they want to end the war on black people. but then they go on to this list of item. >> reparations. >> that stands out in my mind. basically they don't want police departments. >> look, everyone has an agenda. everyone has an idea. everyone has an ideology. the reparations part, what do they suggest? where are the reparations for the officers who are killed?

path. they have to start thinking about who they're voting for. today, did you see the news that the charter schools in new york state, new york city for sure -- maybe it's across the state. did far and above better on their tests than -- everybody did a little bit better this year. probably because they changed the test. but the charter school results were just phenomenal compared to the rest of the schools. and so there are ways to change things and to change education and make things better. and those are not privileged white students that are taking those tests. those are a lot of african-american students, minority students. if they really want to change education, where i think all of this starts for the next generation and generation after that, that's a place maybe we could -- >> reading rates right now for african-americans is appalling. if you're thinking about the future dana is describing, why wouldn't you put that at the top of your agenda, brian? >> you're the expert, one of the best in the country at this.

with terrorism. of course we hope that. i think the concern has to be that isis is not like al qaeda in that there are these big catastrophic attacks planned by multiple people where you would have intelligence streams so you can zbrudisrupt them. the perpetrator in nice, wokking with somebody or not, basically pulled that off on his own. you'll have big crowds at these events. if you have one determined terrorist you're going to have a problem. >> kimberly, the attack in brussels was originally supposed to be at a nuke site? belgium. they were going to blow that up some rudimentary way, with a truck bomb or something. you doesn't know what they're capable of. >> they're capable of just about anything. that's what we know, in fact. they can use any means to achieve their goal. they've declared war against christians, that's on the cover of their magazine. they're very clear and specific in their purpose and focus. they're actually executing on it. yeah, if you're evaluating the
