mexico. and video showing police taking down an attacker moments after he murdered an american woman. the suspect tased but not killed. the wife of a professor teaching in london. horton spent her final moments trying to warn others about the attacker saying he's still here. police believe the suspect is mentally ill. they do not suspect that he has any ties to terror. president obama slamming claims that the $400 million money drop to iran was a ransom payment. the nearly half a billion dollars delivered at the same time that iran released four american hostages back in january. the administration coming under fire after a "wall street journal" report on that payment, something the president says was no secret. >> we announced these payments in january. >> this wasn't some nefarious

how is it possible? >> here is the problem for both hillary clinton and donald trump. take a look at the favorability numbers from a recent fox news poll. hillary clinton is under water. 55% to 44%. that would be disastrous, were it not for not for the fact donald trump's numbers are worse. a strange incident out of the campaign trail for hillary clinton yesterday when secret service agents had to leap into action. she was speaking in las vegas at the brotherhood of electrical workers when animal rights activists began to disrupt her speech and tried to tie it all to donald trump. >> apparently these people are here to protest trump because trump and his kids have killed a lot of animals. >> the other thing we're keeping an eye on here. the swing state polls, which indicate that hillary clinton is building some momentum post convention, some very important swing states ahead of november. back to you guys.

the country rallying voters and fighting for the trump ticket. most recently he spoke to a group of vets in virginia beach. our own pete was there and got an interview with trump's number two. good morning, pete. >> good morning, thanks for having me. we were fortune to grab him backstage after his event and despite a controversial week, the veterans at this event were enthusiastic about the trump ticket and excited to learn more. when i sat down with mike pence, i asked him if he, too, blames hillary clinton for the rise of isis. >> there's no question that when barack obama and hillary clinton came into office in this administration the hard fought gains of the american soldier had secured iraq. it was stable. it had been a tough fight, but in 2009 iraq was secured. and it was the decisions of barack obama and hillary clinton

to irresponsibly withdraw u.s. troops without a status of forces agreement. that created a vacuum of power in which isis was born. as this administration continue to talk about judgment, i think the american people should look at the judgment of this administration that did result in the rise of isis, that did result in a disastrous agreement with the radicals in iran, that did result in leaving american is in harm's way in benghazi. that's the debate we should be having in the days ahead. >> certainly a difference in style. the question i asked him was donald trump had said that hillary clinton is the founder of isis. mike pence didn't go that far, but he said she's responsible for the rise. >> both tickets are fighting so hard for the veterans and for their vote. you spent time with him on the ground yesterday. what was the mood like? >> it was incredibly enthusiastic. almost emboldened. a lot of controversy. the khan controversy, he was

wondering if people are going to step back from trump. certainly not that crowd. maybe independents and others we have seen in the polls, but trump supporters feel like it's a media narrative. that's what we heard from vets on the ground. >> what issue dos they care most about? >> it is isis. multiple questions about the v.a. the obama administration saying it's improving. >> mike pence is passionate about improving the system. >> much like donald trump and touts his plans. they also talked about rebuilding the military, which is something donald trump talked about. so they are ready to hear that and i think they have heard what they wanted to hear from pence. >> anything that surprise you from mike pence? >> first time i had met him. a guy on the go, but can immediately jump into intimate moments. we talked about his family as well as that moment had he got the call that donald trump was coming over for coffee. >> we have all had that call.

first." >> it is now 30 minutes after the hour. >> we begin with some breaking news overnight. two dangerous incidents involving airplanes on two different continents. >> first in baltimore, 126 passengers forced to evacuate after the nose gear collapsed as the southwest flight pushed away from the gate. you can see the aircraft tilting forward on the tarmac. thankfully, no one was hurt and passengers were put on another flight to atlanta. meanwhile, this was the scene in italy after a cargo plane overshot the airport in bad weather landing on a busy highway. the entire body of the plane stretched out over nearly all of the lans. but somehow missed the cars on the road and no one was hurt. now to extreme weather. an ef-0 tornado rips through new orleans tracking a man under his house. the incredible rescue all caught on camera.
