back of the book seeing want tonight. did you see that? recently there were riots in milwaukee as you know after a black man was shot to death by police there carrying a gun, including long record, including gun convictions. nonetheless hundreds of people rampage and destroying property. 41 have been arrested. very tough story for journalists to cover. >> there's enough people who are things about white people and attack -- you know, abdomen and reporters being attacked and
5:49 pm
hearing it was a white kid who got shot that i think, you know, for those that are perceivablably white is just not safe to be here. and that's why i'm deciding to leave. >> with us now to explain further, fox news anchor martha maccallum. i have been in those riot situations and he is smart. this kid is a freelancer, to get out. who is he and do the other reporters feel that way as well? >> his name is tim pool. he is 30 years old and grew up in chicago. as you say he is a freelance reporter. he has done work for some the networks, profusion. he has covered a lot of these inner city scuffles. did he occupy wall street. he was being very honest. he said he wanted people to understand what the threat there was. he saw reporters, white reporters being grabbed, being pushed. >> sure. >> he saw one guy get shot in the neck who was 18 years old being taken out of there. >> not a reporter. just a civilian. >> that's what made him fear for his own life there was
5:50 pm
another reporter followed back to his hotel by a gang of people. he had to be escorted out to his hotel by an escort. the problem, of course, with this is that you are looking at a situation like you have in syria where there is a black hole. so, if this goes on, when these things happen, when the press can't get goes on, wh things happen, when the press can't get in and tell the story because they're being intimidated and assaulted by the people there -- >> like gangsters. but what reporters have to realize, the police cannot protect you if you're not behind their line. if you go out and start interviewing people without the police or private security, anything can happen to you and the chances are, whatever does, they're not going to be held accountable. >> but as you well know, many of these cases, more and more, the police are having a tough time in these situations and they're not able to protect people the way they want to. this is the united states of america, you have to be able to have the press there, protesters are allowed to do what they want to do, the police have to keep people safe, and this is a breakdown, similar to what we saw in the late '60s in this

country. >> let's shift gears to a much lighter story. we'll take you to ohio, lancaster, and a walmart parking lot. go. >> reporter: a bizarre video of a monkey attack at this walmart in lancaster has been shared over 3,000 times, and seen by over 150,000 people on facebook. >> whose monkey is that? >> it happened sunday night. stewart says her and her husband were arriving at the walmart when she spotted a monkey attacking an employee. >> oh, no! >> all of a sudden, the monkey jumps on him. and then she runs over and pushes the guy away. >> i mean -- >> was there a sale on monkeys at walmart. were they running a special squm monkeys in aisle 3! what was the monkey doing there? >> when a monkey gets away at walmart, it's a problem. i'm not sure why we're doing the monkey in a diaper store, but
5:52 pm
this whacko had a monkey with a diaper on in her rv. >> so this didn't have anything to do with walmart, it was someone in an rv, parked in a walmart lot, and the monkey goes out and attacks somebody. >> the monkey attacks this guy, and the woman's main concern was like, let her go, let her go! because if the monkey bites you, they're going to take the monkey away from me. she wasn't concerned about the man -- >> they can be vicious. i was in a zambia one time, a condo in zambia, and an orangutan through a grapefruit at me. >> really? >> yeah, yeah. and i was going, what?! what?! >> there are so many people who want to throw a grapefruit at you. >> there were 16 people lined up behind the orangutang.

charity. now, from hawaii, "mr. o'reilly, i'm a liberal who mostly enjoys your talking points memo, but comparing david duke to george soros is off the rails. the comparison was made but the extremism demonstrated by both men is destructive to the country. yes, they have different styles, but here's what's the same, jeremiah. both are doing heavy damage to the country. tony smith, parridge, illinois. o'reilly, thank you for exposing george soros and his plans for wide open borders worldwide. this is the most important stories of our time. fred calhoun, o'reilly, while we know what duke's followers have done, you failed to tell me what soros' followers have done. you messing with me, right? it clearly lays out that soros is spending millions of dollars to promote open borders, attack israel, and smear americans who want protection from the jihad.
5:57 pm
come on. gloria, permton, newbury park, california. i find it ironic that soros lives in a country which aforesaid him the freedom to try and destroy it. always been that way, gloria. always been that way. we had a strong communist party and the nazi bund was actually here in world war ii. randy clemens, indianapolis, "black lives matter showed incredible ignorance in protesting at graceland. it is well documented that elvis presley was a true friend to plaq blacks." arthur alex, palm coast, florida. "mr. o'reilly, you said that clinton were using olinski's model." wrong, i said the press was using alinsky's model. in legends and lies, you say general custer exterminated buffalo to harm native american who is needed them survive. that's true, but disputed by some, thanks to the reference.
5:58 pm
well, you're welcome. and if you like the legends and lies concept, we now have both the west and the patriot editions available together on billoreilly.com. all right? great gift, great books. finally tonight, the factor tip of the day. there is a new book out called "the underground railroad" written by colson whitehead. speaking to "time" magazine, mr. whitehead explains how he researched slavery and then says, quote, bill o'reilly was mad when michelle obama mentioned that she lives in a white house built by slaves. why would you get mad at that? he felt he had to step up and say, actually, that's technically true, but they were well fed and housed, unquote. now, anyone who saw my analysis of michelle obama's remarks would know that i praised her. i wasn't mad in the slightest. but mr. whitehead apparently did not see my analysis, which is now posted on billoreilly.com.
5:59 pm
instead, he believes fallacious media reports that were designed to denigrate me. stuff put out by the gutter heads. he is an educated man, an author. he must know i got the facts right about the construction of the white house if he wrote a book about slavery, he must know that. but he like millions of other americans are now disseminating propaganda, put forth by a very corrupt american media. don't believe what you hear and read in the media these days. they can things out for yourself. and it's easy with the net. factor tip of the day. that is it for us tonight. please check out the fox news factor website, different from billoreilly.com. and spout off from anywhere in the world. if you wish to opine, word of the day, do not be magniloquent. that's a good one. tomorrow, bernie goldberg on the soros case.
