>> we'll be back here in an hour. we hope you will be too. >> absolutely. "outnumbered" starts right now. fox news alert, america. election day already begun with absentee ballot voting in the swing state of north carolina. new polls show hillary clinton's lead shrinking in key battleground states. this is "outnumbered." i'm sandra smith. here today, host of kennedy on fox business, kennedy. also from fbn, co-host of "after the bell," melissa francis is here. radio talk show host meghan mccain joins us. today's #oneluckyguy, there he is, fox news political analyst, co-host of "the five," juan williams. you are certainly outnumbered. >> i certainly am. sandra: good afternoon to you. happy friday. >> i'm the with the lucky guy part.
9:01 am
it is beautiful day. kennedy: should never complain about being outnumbered. >> why should i do that? sandra: why wait until november 8th. absentee balloting under way in north carolina as new quinnepiac polls show hillary clinton's lead shrinking in key battleground states. the democrat holding on to 4-point lead to donald trump. in the crucial state of florida, they are tied with 41% apiece -- 47% apiece. check out ohio. mr. trump holding one point lead this is important. no republican has gotten to the white house without winning the buckeye state. what is going on here, juan? what is the trend you're seeing? >> the question that the trend is trump is closing but hillary clinton leads. go back to recall august, sandra. it was eight points. now really about i think three points in the "real clear politics" average. the key here is how many swing states does trump have at this moment? he has none. sandra: you're right.
9:02 am
>> just even in ohio and even in florida as you just described it. i would say both states are critical. ohio, as you said. sandra: one point lead he has there. >> in florida, just about tied. but again, florida with 29 electoral college votes. today with voting beginning, you look at north carolina, very important, a swing state. you know what? political insiders are looking to florida because it is 29 of those votes and really, really if trump can win that you can start to see more options for path to victory for donald trump. sandra: when you look at this polling, make began is this tight as polls make it out to be? meghan: 100%. this bows off really bad six weeks hillary clinton has had. i think direct result of the drip, drip, from the emails. the american public isn't stupid. they see pay-to-play with the clinton foundation. they see everything we all see and hypocrisy in clinton emails. i was watching in that debate with matt lauer, i realized i actually don't know her. i was thinking about, what do i

9:04 am
with the national polls we've seen shift. melissa: what is interesting about the race from the ones we witnessed recently is the changeability of it. all the candidates talk about elasticity of anyone's lead you get way out in front and other person catches up. i don't think we've seen back and forth in recent memory. pretty incredible. makes battleground states really important. makes every single day. no one is so far behind they can't catch up to move forward, back to the point about hillary clinton. that is really true, when you sit here and see her talking there is such distance. that is always the thing with her. she is not really, people say she is not likeable but it is more, maybe more about being knowable. sandra: she is addressing that a little bit. we'll talk about that later in the show. she is trying to address that juan, that being said is she and her campaign worried at this point? is there time to make any major pivot on either side considering the amount of time left? >> oh, sure. her campaign is aware. these guys are pros. what you see from my perspective is that they are going to do
9:05 am
exactly what you just described, what melissa described, they will stark making hillary more of a person. i was interested to hear meghan say, she was my first lady, remember the controversy, monica lewinsky and stand by your man thing and should she thrown his clothes on the front lawn, cut up, people think i've been inside of that difficult marriage. you might have one position or another. should she stayed kept the marriage together, she is grandma. she will give speeches like that. meghan says she doesn't know her. to me as an old horse on the political circuit i think, yeah, i know about these people. you may not like them. you may remember whitewater as well. may remember vince foster and all conspiracy. not that the american people of my age are being introduced to hillary clinton. meghan: i would like to see her or say do anything that is authentic f i have to talk about you telling me to smile one more time, as much as i have so many problems with donald trump when
